December 16th - “Family”
“You don’t understand, Tikki, my life is ruined!!”
Adrien blinked at the sounds coming through the door to his apartment. Yikes. He wasn’t even technically home yet! Cautiously, he opened the door to find Marinette sobbing on the couch. Tikki was patting her shoulder comfortingly, and looked over and gave him a roll of her eyes to let him know the world wasn’t actually ending.
It was just Marinette, being Marinette. His lips quirked into a smile. God, he loved this woman.
“What’d I miss?” he asked, closing the door and throwing his coat on the back of a chair. Usually he was careful about hanging it up, but the problem in front of him looked like it needed immediate attention.
“The usual,” Tikki said, grinning at him.
“You say that like I’m being overdramatic,” Marinette wailed into her pillow.
“Because you are, dearest,” Tikki crooned, patting her again.
“You just watch!” Marinette said, rising just enough to glare at them both. “Soon—soon you’ll hate me! You’ll realize that I’m fat and ugly and you won’t want me anymore!! And you’ll go have an affair with some gorgeous model and never think of me again!!”
“You let her watch soap operas again, didn’t you?” Adrien said to Tikki.
“Jerry Springer reruns, actually,” Tikki admitted. “It was that or Dr. Phil, and I didn’t want her to try to psychoanalyze Plagg again.”
“Fair enough,” Adrien agreed. He sat down beside his wife and gathered her into his arms, pulling her into his lap. It was quite a feat, considering she was a bit heavier than she normally was.
“Now listen here, my gorgeous, sweet, wonderful lady—”
“I’m a watermelon!!” Marinette wailed in despair.
Now Adrien was well and truly lost. “What?” he asked dumbly.
“I looked like a watermelon!” she continued to cry, “all big, and red, and huge, with black spots like seeds….” Adrien buried his face in her hair to stifle his laughter.
“Tikki,” he wheezed, “you let her transform??”
“I thought it’d make her feel better!” the kwami protested. “The magic has helped boost her confidence before!”
“And now you’re both laughing at me!” Marinette cried. “Let’s all laugh at the big, fat, Ladybug!!”
“First off,” Adrien said, kissing her temple, “you are not fat, you’re pregnant. With my kitten, I might add,” he said, cradling her belly lovingly. As always, the action seemed to calm his wife down and she leaned into his touch, taking a deep, shuddering breath. “You being big right now means the baby is healthy and happy. Which makes me very happy.” He kissed his way down to her cheek.
“Second, you are wearing my ring,” he said, lacing their fingers together and rubbing his own fingers against her wedding band. “Which means you are mine. Cats are very possessive, my lady. So, there is no way I’m ever going to forget you or never think about you again.”
“But what if you find somebody—”
“I chose you,” he insisted, kissing her jawline and down to her neck. “And you chose me. And that means I think you’re the best. No silly little model can compare. I should know, I am one,” he added with a wink. That coaxed a small smile out of her.
“Don’t leave me,” she begged, curling up into his lap more comfortably.
“I have everything I have ever wanted, right here,” he said fervently, tightening his grip on her. Finally, she relaxed. Adrien allowed himself a glance around their apartment. It was smaller than what he was used to, but it didn’t make his words any less true. Their house was warm and cozy, with Marinette’s designer touches all over the place, making it into a home. The tiny Christmas tree in the corner was nothing fancy, but they’d decorated it together, laughing the whole time. Their friends were just a phone call away and their kwamis were now curled up on a pillow together.
Nestled in his arms was a girl who loved him more than life itself, and wasn’t afraid to show it. And cradled against their hands was the tiny, innocent, not-yet-started life they had created between them. His family. They were worth more to him than anything he could think of.
Tonight, he was the richest man in the world.

25 Days of a Miraculous Christmas, Day 18: Warm
Today’s drabble was requested for Ladrien so I went all the way back to Ladrien June to dig up a drabble to continue this one from. :D
“You still have it,” Adrien said softly, reaching up to touch the red and black striped scarf circling Ladybug’s neck.
“Of course I still have it,” she laughed. “Why wouldn’t I?”
He winced, wiggling his finger through a large gap in the woven yarn. “It isn’t very good.”
Ladybug pulled the scarf away defensively, both hands scrunching it up to her cheeks. “You made it for me and I love it,” she pouted, voice muffled in the layers.
“I should get you something better this year now that you’re my, um...” Adrien trailed off, cheeks going red and Ladybug giggled, leaning closer.
“Now that I’m your what, Hot Stuff?”
His blush reached his ears. “You said you weren’t going to call me that anymore!”
“I can’t help it! You turn such a cute shade of pink when I do,” she teased.
“I’m breaking up with you,” he groaned, covering his face with his hands.
“Aww. Well, in that case, I guess I’ll just take me and my little homemade Christmas gift for you and--” Ladybug erupted into another bout of giggles as Adrien tackled her to his couch, kissing her cheek.
“I take it back,” he said, voice a little breathless as he helped her sit back up.
“Anything for a gift.”
He grinned and held out his hand. Ladybug smirked and reached on the other side of the couch to produce a misshapen package in bright green wrapping with a black bow on top. Adrien felt his heartbeat speed up. “I like the green.”
“I thought you might,” she smiled, an amused twinkle in her eye.
He carefully unwrapped the paper to reveal a soft looking scarf done in bright green and black stripes, the same style as the scarf he had made her but in Chat Noir’s colors. He swallowed thickly and looked up at her but Ladybug only stared back at him, face pleasantly blank. Her eyes, however, were a bit too bright as if she couldn’t hold all of her emotions in.
Adrien lifted the scarf up and wrapped it around his neck, bringing a section up to his nose to smell. “Warm bread and cookies,” he murmured.
“What was that?”
“I said I love it.”
Ladybug smiled widely. “That’s not what you said but I’ll take it. Do you like the colors?”
“They, uh, they look like Chat Noir’s colors.”
“They are,” she nodded, the amusement back in her expression.
Adrien pursed his lips, looking back down at the scarf. “Is he going to mind?”
“I have a hunch that he won’t.” She reached up to readjust the scarf and then leaned it to kiss him. “I’m not the only one who needs to stay warm out there, you know,” she said softly. She then stood and stretched. “I have to go now but I should be able to come by in a couple of days. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Adrien stood with her, frowning. “Tomorrow? But you just said you would come by in a couple of days.”
She winked, balancing on his windowsill. “My mistake. I have patrol tomorrow night. I’ll see Chat Noir then. I must have gotten confused.” She blew him a kiss and lashed out her yoyo, disappearing into the night.
Adrien went to the window to watch until he couldn’t see her anymore and then turned to Plagg who was now floating by his shoulder. “What do you think that means?”
“That you’re a natural blonde,” the kwami replied with a roll of his eyes.

Wintery Warm Drabbles - 23rd “Mistletoe“
And here it is, part 5!
Ao3 / FF.net
Marinette and Adrien returned to the party with her arm in his again, but this time she really held on to him. Before, her hand had been loose, now it itched to just slide down and interlace their fingers.
He grinned as they entered the ballroom again, briefly nodding to his father, then he looked down to Marinette.
“May I have this dance?”
She giggled, nodding at him to lead her to the dance floor. It was a slow dance so Adrien grabbed her by her hips, gently beginning to sway in tact to the music as she wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning her temple against his shoulder. He smiled, his hands sliding around her waist to rest in the small of her back, holding her closer. She hummed, sighing contently.
Adrien slowly swayed them over the dance floor, keeping his attention up not to dance into other couples while she just enjoyed being held by him. One of his hands slid up further, then he leant his cheek against her head.
“Hey Marinette?”, he asked and she nodded slowly to indicate she was listening, “Are you happy?”
She smirked, one of her hands shifting up to bury her fingers in his hair. He silently moaned in delight, feeling a light shiver running down his spine.
“Yeah, I am…”, she replied, “Actually I’m very happy right now, yes.”
He chuckled, continuing to dance with her until the song stopped, then he went to the side, softly parting from her. She looked up to him, questioningly, but he merely shook his head, getting off the dance floor with her. He led her to the balcony where she had gone to before, asking her to go outside. She furrowed her eyebrows, watching him as he stepped forward to the railing, closing his eyes before looking at her again.
“Marinette, I-… I just want to make sure you-… You know about this. Before anything starts.”
She frowned, moving to stand next to him. He took her hands and brushed over her knuckles, then he interlaced their fingers.
“Listen, uhm-… I want to be honest to you. I-… I actually need to be honest to you, otherwise I-… Wouldn’t want me to be on your side. Uhm, I-… I wanna tell you something and-… It’s probably gonna be a shock but please, please bear with me here, okay?”
She was even more confused now but she nodded, gesturing him to continue. He took a deep breath, then he grinned sheepishly.
“Well… Chat Noir didn’t meet me. He, well, uh, he never met me.”
Okay, now that was some grade A bullshit. Marinette knew she had talked to him and she knew Adrien had told her he had talked to Chat Noir. Had he been lying to her? Had he improvised to be cooler for her? But how had he known all the stuff she had told Chat Noir?
“Did you-… What? I mean-… Did you lie to me, Adrien?”
He quickly shook his head, confusing her even more.
“No, no! I didn’t lie to you. Okay, well, yes I did, because Chat Noir didn’t talk to me, but, hear me out. I, uh-… I know you have a crush on me…”, her eyes went wide and she was about to scream but he quickly continued, “B-Because-… You told me.”
“I told you?!”, she snapped, all of this getting just a bit too confusing for her, “When?!”
“Well… This evening.”, he admitted, his smile sheepish and his hands in hers trembling of nervousness.
“I never-”, she began but even before she could finish that sentence she knew what he was talking about. She had told him and he had never met Chat Noir. Of course…
That’s why she had felt so comfortable talking to him all of a sudden, after her conversation with Chat. That’s why he had known exactly what had been going on. That’s why he-… Was such an idiot. Well, that was her kitty for her.
Suddenly, she spoke to her partner, not the blonde model boy anymore.
“… You know I’m gonna kick your butt for this?”
He gulped, nodding.
“And you know Ladybug’s gonna have a long talk with you about revealing to random citizens?”, she glared at him and he got just a little more uncertain.
“U-Uhm-… Probably…? B-But you’re no random citizen to me, I, uh, I was-”
“Hush. Do you understand that?”, she snapped and he nodded, “Good, then listen closely. Adrien, you do not reveal to random citizens. It’s dangerous and you could never know what I could do with that information. I could be anybody! My best friend is the head of the Ladyblog! And you didn’t even console me to reveal! You just-… You just did! Adrien, it’s dangerous and you could’ve landed anywhere by now! I could’ve-”
“W-Wait-…”, he softly interrupted her, his eyebrows narrowed, “Y-You said Ladybug’s gonna hold that speech so why are-…”
“Yes, I said that and you gotta listen. Now, where was I? Oh yeah. You were rash and careless and you don’t have a sense for security and safety, you stupid cat! You could’ve gotten hurt, you could’ve ended in Nadja Chamack’s seat and everyone would know about your secret and-”
He once again interrupted her, his eyes now wide and his jaw slack.
“Y-You’re-…”
“Yes and now damnit, Chaton, lemme finish. You do not reveal to citizens like that. There’s a reason why I told you not to reveal! It’s to protect yourself, don’t you have any sense in your stupid chesire head? I’m really, really-”
Her words were suddenly cut off and she was very surprised to find that something was on her lips. Something warm, moving and soft. A little vanilla taste, from a lip balm she knew all too well. That she had fantasized about tasting before. Adrien was pressed against her, the kiss tasting sweet and his warmth feeling amazing in contrary to the rather freezing night air.
He only unwillingly parted, grinning like she knew it from her partner. Widely and absolutely not model-like.
“… In love with me?”, he guessed, laughing.
“… Also, that. Yes.”, she admitted, blushing as her knees got a bit wobbly, “Get your head out of the clouds, kitty, because even if I think you’re ridiculously cute, I’m still mad at you about just revealing to someone. I set up the secret identity rule for a reason, you know?”
“Yeah, but purr not just someone.”, he smirked smugly, his face practically shining of joy.
She rolled her eyes, softly pushing him back on his nose in an all too familiar gesture.
“Aaaaaaand I’ll suffer under puns. Of course. I guess that’s the price I gotta pay.”
“Hey, you know you love it!”
She laughed, cupping his cheek now to shake her head.
“Absolutely not. Also, mister, you’re overly smug for a guy who found out about my crush before he should’ve known. After all you were the confused one and asked me for a fake date. I say you owe me.”
Adrien laughed, leaning his forehead against hers and nuzzling his nose on hers.
“Do kisses count?”, he asked, already placing a little peck on her cheek.
“Maybe.”, she smirked but before he could lean in to pay his debt she held him back, beginning to motion something above their heads. He furrowed his eyebrows, watching her quickly moving index finger, then he looked down to her again, a questioning expression on his face.
“What are mew doing, my lady?”, he asked.
“Drawing a mistletoe.”, she explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, “’Cuz, you know, your father is a great organizer and all, but every Christmas Party needs a mistletoe.”
He chuckled as he watched her draw in the air with nothing but her fantasy, feeling himself falling for her over and over again every second.
“Wait, you forgot the ribbon.”, he laughed, drawing a very sloppy ribbon over her mistletoe, then he grinned down to her, “There. We got it. Can I kiss you now?”
“You can.”, she giggled just before he pressed his lips onto hers again.

ML Winter Week Day 7- Christmas
“Merry Christmas, my Lady,” Adrien whispered in Marinette’s ear, brushing her hair away from her face.
”Kitty?” she mumbled, reaching out blearily and touching his face.
”Yes?” He clasped her hand and brought it to his lips, pressing a kiss on her knuckles.
She sighed blissfully. “C’mere,” she begged.
He obliged, lowering his head and brilliant emerald met glittering sapphire.
Marinette kissed his cheek chastely, her warm breath tickling his cheek.
”Emma’s waiting,” he breathed. “She wants to open her presents.”
”Okay, I’ll be up in a few,” she replied.
...
”I love this!” Emma hugged the jewelry-making kit to her chest. “Thank you Mummy and Daddy!”
”You’re welcome,” said Adrien fondly, and whispered when she wasn’t looking, “She takes after you.”
Marinette subtly rolled her eyes and smiled, her eyes glued to her daughter.
”In a year we’ll be getting gifts for another one,” she said, placing a hand on her growing stomach.
“That’s right,” he said earnestly, laying a hand on top of her slender one. “I can’t wait.”
“I can’t wait either!” Emma piped up.
Marinette chuckled, ruffling her hair. “Neither can we, sweetie.”
”Is it a boy or a girl?”
”We don’t know, darling, but you’ll be the first to know,” Marinette promised.
Emma giggled as her parents pulled her into a group hug.
“Merry Christmas, baby,” Marinette murmured. “And this one too,” she added, rubbing her stomach.
”Merry Christmas, Mummy and Daddy,” Emma said cheerfully. “And the baby too.”
They remained in each other’s arms, unwilling to let go.
A happy family.

25 days of ML Christmas - Day 3: Peppermint
Cat's are attracted to the smell of peppermint. Marinette decides to make candy canes for her classmates. Marichat ensues.
Audience: G
Word count: 1126
AO3
Marinette laid out the trays of homemade candy canes wherever she found a free space in her room. It had taken her most of the day to hand sculpt each candy cane into the perfect shape before they hardened. There were more than a few unsuccessful attempts sitting downstairs on her kitchen counter but she had taken the best of the best and brought them to her room to be wrapped. A wide smile spread across her face as she thought of her classmates reactions when she brought them into school tomorrow. Grabbing some red and green cellophane, she began humming Christmas carols as she set to work.
Chat Noir was hopping from rooftop to rooftop on this abnormally warm winter’s night. It had been a rough couple of days and he just needed to clear his head, going nowhere in particular. He stopped to look over the City of Lights and took a deep cleansing breath...only to smell something absolutely wonderful and enticing. It was minty and his heightened cat senses zeroed in on the trail. Without a second thought, he began to leap from building to building, excitement bubbling up as the smell grew stronger and he knew he was getting close. Before long, he found himself standing on top of the Dupain-Cheng bakery taking in lungfuls of the intoxicating smell. He slid to the ground with a satisfied hum and closed eyes, enjoying not only the familiar scent but the soft sounds of Christmas carols floating up from the open windows below.
“Did you hear something, Tikki?” Marinette stopped humming and looked up at her ceiling. She could have sworn she had heard someone up on her balcony.
“Is it Père Noël?!” Tikki squeaked, her face engulfed in a huge, toothy smile.
“Doubtful,” Marinette rolled her eyes as she headed towards her skylight.
“Wait, Marinette!” Tikki cried out after her. “What if it’s an akuma?” Marinette’s steps slowed. It wouldn’t be the first time an akuma had come directly to her house, although she couldn’t think of anyone who would be after her at the moment. Well one person came to mind. If he knew she was Ladybug, could he send an akuma directly to her house? She worried her lip. “Tikki, spots…”
“Hey, princess!” Chat Noir’s head appeared in the window, causing Marinette to jump, tripping over her chair, arms flailing and hitting one of the sheets of candy canes on her desk. Chat winced as the peppermint candy canes clattered to the ground. It was enough of a distraction that he didn’t catch the red smear that flew under a pillow on the chaise.
“I’m so sorry, Marinette!” Chat opened the window and hopped down. He reached down to help the clumsy, red-faced girl up from the floor. “I didn’t mean to scare you. I smelt the peppermint of the candy canes and just couldn’t help myself.” He threw her what she supposed was meant to be a disarming smile. She shook her head at her partner. Of course her kitty would follow the smell of mint across Paris.
“It’s okay Chato...Chat.” She caught herself before using Ladybug’s nickname for him. “I made extras because, well, because I’m me and I was bound to ruin at least a few,” she shrugged. “No big deal.”
“Extras? Marinette, you have over a hundred candy canes here!” Chat looked around the room full of trays of candy canes.
“Well, I’m packaging them up and handing them out at school tomorrow. I wanted to make sure I had enough.” Marinette offered. She may have gone a bit overboard but she couldn’t help it! It was her favorite time of the year, after all.
“Can...can I help?” Chat looked over at her, eyes bright.
“Of course!” Marinette and Chat worked, unsurprisingly, extremely well together. They fell into comfortable banter, singing Christmas carols, laughing at Chat’s awful candy cane puns and jokes, and talking about their favorite Christmas traditions. Suddenly, Chat picked up a candy cane that was, unlike the others, sculpted into the shape of a heart.
“This for someone special?” Chat teased with a wink. A blush settled on Marinette’s cheeks and Chat was immediately intrigued.
“Um, yes, actually. Those are for Adrien,” she said shyly.
“A bit of a fangirl, are we?” Chat probed with a smug grin, curiosity getting the better of him.
“NO!” Marinette nearly yelled before covering her mouth with both hands. Chat’s eyebrows flew up in surprise. “I...I mean, I’m not just a fan. I mean, I’m a fan but not just because he’s a model although he’s really good at that too. But Adrien is so much more than a pretty face. He’s so kind and caring and he thinks the best of everyone even if they don’t deserve it and he’s so smart and talented. Did you know he fences? And plays the piano? Like really, really well. He’s pretty much perfect at everything but of course he is, he’s absolutely perfect…” Marinette’s look glossed over as she thought about her crush.
It was Chat’s turn to blush. “You...you really think all that?”
Marinette was brought out of her daydream at the uncertainty in Chat’s voice. That wasn’t like him. He was always so confident, teasing her in and out of the mask, even if he didn’t know she was the same person. “Well, of course,” she said matter of factly with a slight question in her brow.
“Thank y...I mean, uh, he would probably appreciate hearing that from such a good friend, Marinette.” Chat covered his slip up with a slight cough.
“Yeah, a good friend.” Marinette’s expression darkened a bit, the bite of those words from not too long ago still stung. Chat noticed the shift in her mood.
“Well, I’m sure he’ll like these candy canes. They’re really cute and they smell delicious.” Chat offered, trying to lift the mood.
“Yeah...yeah, I think he will,” Marinette said a bit more confidently. She was finally going to tell Adrien how she felt and no one, especially not a certain black cat, was going to deter her this time. She smiled at her partner. “Thanks for all your help, Chat. These would have taken twice as long without your help.”
“Just your neighborly Chat here to help where I can!” He stood up and bowed gracefully if not a bit ostentatiously. “Until next time, princess!” He gave her a two-finger salute before bounding out the skylight and into the darkness.
“Until next time, Chaton,” Marinette smiled to herself and shook her head.
The black cat who had stopped for one last sniff of peppermint, however, hadn’t been out of earshot. A smile spread across his face. “Until tomorrow, my lady.”

Be Naughty (save Santa the trip)! 11: Christmas Tree
Also on Ao3
Day 10 << Day 11 >> Day 12
Hey Masquerade fans! (Masqueraders?) If you were also personally victimized by how I left the final chapter (it was a doozy of a cliffhanger), then this might just give you a little closure. If you never read my 80,000+ word porn with plot Smutember fic or have no intention of falling down that rabbit hole, scroll down to the asterix half way through the story (that’s where the smut begins).
11. Christmas Tree
“Welcome, citizens of Paris, to the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration!”
Ladybug smiles and waves from the stage as Mayor Bourgeois raises his arms with a jovial greeting from behind the podium, addressing the crowd with a booming laugh, “It is my pleasure to announce our special guests for the evening! These members of our incredible, resilient city have been working tirelessly to ensure that we are safe, happy and taken care of this holiday season!”
There’s another thunderous standing ovation as Mayor Bourgeois sweeps his arms around him, gesturing to the line of civil servants, philanthropists and local celebrities that line the platform, “First of all, we welcome our Chief of Police Philippe Loi and Emmanuelle Levac of the Parisian Council for Refugees…”
Mayor Bourgeois continues to ramble off a veritable list of notable names, each gathering an enthusiastic smattering of applause from the enormous crowd there to witness the annual ceremony. Ladybug tries to stay focused on the proceedings but the spotlights are blinding and the man that stands a few metres away even more so.
“...Jean Tremblay of Love in A Box charitable organisation for underprivileged children, Adrien Agreste of the Hospital for Sick Children…”
She tries to keep her grin from splitting her face in half, she really does but god, it is hard when she turns his way and he actually has an honest to goodness smile on his face.
“...and finally, our most honoured guest and the saviour of the greatest city in the entire world, Ladybug!”
Ladybug steps forwards and waves, the light of the flashbulbs shining in her eyes. She’s long used to it after all this time in the spotlight, having been to hundreds of these festivals and galas over the years, and while most of the cameras seem to be fixated on her, many of them quickly turn back to the familiar face of a teenager who had graced many a newscast and tabloid in the past six months, his gentle smile brightening his perfect features.
The celebration continues with a few more speeches from the honoured guests and finally, finally it’s time for what she was asked here to do. Unholstering her yoyo, Ladybug takes the huge star in one hand and launches herself up into the air with the other, circling the tree in spectacular fashion so as to give everyone the opportunity to take a photo. Sweeping upwards, she lands on the uppermost branches and paces the star on the very top of the tree, plugging in the ornament and closing the circuit, illuminating the entire 30 metre Christmas tree from top to bottom.
The crowd erupts into cheers and the festivities officially begin as the band begins to play and the choirs begin to carol. The shops lining the streets have stayed open late and street vendors from around the city offer warm cocoa and other holiday treats, beckoning Christmas revellers towards their stalls and stores. Ladybug watches from above for a few minutes and takes in the beautiful scene, the smiling faces and laughing children milling about, frolicking with one another. It’s about as picturesque as it can get after what had been the most turbulent six months of her life, and she’s glad that she’s finally able to see the lights at the end of the tunnel.
She spots him trying to make a clean exit from the platform towards the closed off section below but the media have already got their sights on him and begin their predictably consistent pursuit. She forces herself to let him fend for himself for a few moments, knowing full well that he’s more than capable of dealing with their questions on his own but she slips through the branches to get a closer look regardless in case he needs a distraction.
“M. Agreste! Do you have a moment?”
“M. Agreste was my father,” Adrien replies flatly, “As I’ve mentioned a million times before Mme. Chamack, you can call me Adrien.”
Fresh from the arrest and subsequent investigation into his father, Adrien had more or less thrown himself into his philanthropic endeavours for a number of reasons, many of which revolved around the fact that his father was a full-blown domestic terrorist and Adrien had to distance himself from Gabriel as far as possible. Hence the pomp and circumstance, the ceremony and fuss, and ultimately the need for his presence at the heavily televised tree lighting ceremony to kick off the holiday season.
Not that he was complaining too much; any opportunity to his Lady nowadays was an opportunity he couldn’t afford to miss, even if it meant having to face the media.
“This is the first holiday season you’ve had to face without your family. How are you faring?”
Ladybug expects his shoulders to tense and finds herself pleasantly surprised when Adrien doesn’t seem to react at all, “I’ve found myself an entirely new family of people who support me. Now, I don’t suppose you have any questions regarding the Holiday Toy Drive that Chat Noir and I have organised for next Thursday?”
There’s a distinct lack of response to his question and Ladybug can’t help but snort at the snark in his voice, ultimately revealing her position in the tree above his head. Caught, she sheepishly drops down onto the platform beside him and shrugs her shoulders, ignoring the cross sidelong glare he’s throwing her way.
“Sorry about that,” she mutters under her breath before turning towards the throng of newscasters and photographers, “I heard my partner’s name and I just had to drop by!”
This isn’t the first time Ladybug has mysteriously appeared to interrupt Adrien’s various interviews since the news broke that his father was accused of being Le Papillon . In fact, Nadja Chamack is fairly sure this is at least the one hundredth time the spotted superhero has impeded her efforts on getting the perfect scoop.
“That’s because I was telling all of these lovely reporters that Chat Noir and I are hosting a Holiday Toy Drive at the hospital next Thursday,” Adrien responds, his irritation at her constant mothering only barely audible in his tone of voice. Ladybug knows she’ll have to make it up to him later, having already been lectured repeatedly about how he can handle himself, but she just can’t help it. It's no secret how protective she's become over her partner, how protective she's always been; putting a tamper on her feelings had only led to...well, that's a story best left to the past.
(Or a sequel.)
“Sorry Chat couldn’t be here by the way,” Ladybug remarks without missing a beat, gently wrapping her arm around Adrien’s shoulder, “He wouldn’t have missed this for the world, but you know how he is. Last I heard, he was attending the fundraiser for the cardiac care unit at l’ Hôpital Necker tonight.”
“That’s right! So, unless you have any questions about the Toy Drive, I’ll be heading off to the fundraiser myself,” Adrien tips his head to the side knowingly, basking in their momentary silence, “Well, that settles it. Ladybug, could I ask you a favour? Uber prices are probably surging, and I was wondering if you would be able to give me a lift?”
Ladybug grins, “Of course. Chat is probably looking for you as we speak! Hold on!”
With a swoop and a wave, Ladybug wraps her arm around his waist and tosses her yoyo into the sky, launching them both into the air at breakneck speeds. Adrien grabs onto her shoulders for dear life, heedless to the way his stomach seems to have dropped out of his body and whoops as he soars up into the street tops of Paris, away from the prying eyes of the media and cityfolk alike.
“You know,” he grumbles, his tone contradicting the windswept look of elation in his eyes as she sets him down, “You don’t need to babysit me every time I have an interview.”
“I wasn’t,” Ladybug replies and she’s only partially lying, “I just so happened to be up there when you tried to make a break for it.”
Adrien crosses his arms and peers idly from the rooftop they’d landed on across the square, “Eavesdropping, you mean?”
“Me? Eavesdrop?” Ladybug puts on an act, pressing a hand to her chest as if highly affronted, “I would never .”
“Yes you would,” Adrien responds, leaning against the wrought iron railings of the patio, “So how about you make it up to me?”
Ladybug raises a brow, “Make it up to you? How do you suppose I do that?”
“Oh, I have a few ideas in mind,” Adrien smirks, traipsing towards her, “And all of them have to do with the fact that I haven’t seen you in a week.”
“It’s the end of the semester,” Ladybug replies sheepishly, scratching at the hairs at the back of her neck, “I’ve been designing a spring line and it’s been taking me forever to get the tailoring right and I mmpff !”
*He pulls her into his chest and kisses her desperately, messy and rough and Marinette hesitates only for a moment before kissing him back with fervour, relishing in his pent up frustrations. Life had gotten in the way of many things, but she’d always find time for him, always find time for this, whether it be in a bed or on a rooftop, just like old times.
Emboldened, Ladybug breaks away and crouches down in front of him, quickly divesting him of his favourite leather belt so as to unbutton the clip of his trousers with ease. She pulls down the zipper and shoves the waistband past his hips and knees, pushing his cashmere sweater upwards so she can lick patterns onto the sensitive skin of his abdomen, pressing kisses to the hollows of his hip bones. She chances a glance upwards and revels in the way his eyes shine in the ambient light of the Christmas tree across the way, his pupils blown wide with sudden arousal and Ladybug settles in, happy to sit for the long haul.
“Marinette,” he growls, and Ladybug savours the low purr of Adrien’s voice in its deeper register, rough with need and desperation and something else she can’t quite put her finger on. He buries his fingers into her pigtails as she continues laving her tongue along the dip above his thigh with affection, nipping and licking the pale, delicate skin she finds there. He lets out a sharp hiss as her teeth scrape further downwards, just barely grazing past the meticulously groomed curls there.
She nuzzles up against him, running the tips of her fingers up and down his sides and Adrien swallows thickly, shuddering with anticipation. She presses her lips against the pulse point at the jut of his hip and hooks her gloved fingers around the waistband of his briefs, pushing them down, his cock jutting earnestly against his abdomen. Ladybug runs her hands up and down his thighs until he feels goose pimples, her fingertips caressing faint patterns against his skin and the way he says her name, wrecked and frantic spurns her onwards, his length gently brushing her cheek.
“Please…” he begs, and Ladybug doesn’t need much more motivation than that. She looks up at him, slack-jawed and gorgeously flushed, and licks him root to tip.
Adrien writhes.
Ladybug reaches upwards and grasps the root of his cock, taking the head in her mouth and dragging her fingers up and down his shaft. She pulls away and licks her lips as she presses a chaste kiss to the head, content to watch him shudder and bury his fingers in his hair, pulling the strands to keep himself from losing it right then and there. She does love a challenge and Ladybug starts twisting her wrist in time with her mouth, increasing the pressure just a little bit with every sloppy pass. She uses her free hand to stroke his thigh, her fingers trailing back up towards his hip bones and back down again over and over, a gentle counterpoint to the way she hums against his shaft, ruthless in her rhythm and Adrien throws his head back, crying her name like a prayer.
There are bright pops of colour behind his eyelids that are most certainly not those of the Christmas lights and Adrien holds onto the railing behind him, utterly disarmed, shuddering with pleasure. Ladybug groans around his cock, her clit throbbing relentlessly against her suit and she’s burning with need, the desire to mark him with her fingertips, the need to press bruises into his thighs overwhelming. She wants him to remember this tomorrow morning when he wakes up, she wants him to shatter into her touch and she wants to swallow every moan and cry, bobbing her head and sucking harder and —
“Marinette,” Adrien chokes out, half sobbing into his palm, “ Please— ”
He gasps out loud, broken and wanton and Ladybug grasps his hips, holding him steady as he comes in hot spurts against her tongue. She sucks him through it, indulging in the way he cries out incoherently, ragged and breathless and falling to pieces on a rooftop in Paris, completely and utterly hers. She lets him go and sits back on her heels, stretching her jaw as he keeps his eyes screwed shut, flushed and spent and quivering against the sensation of the night.

December 21st - “Freezing”
Of all the things that Marinette had expected to happen today, holding a suddenly-crying Adrien Agreste was not one of them.
She’d seen him striding towards her out of the corner of her eye, and had turned and greeted him, thrilled to see him. Then she’d realized two things: one, he wasn’t wearing a coat or anything nearly warm enough for a cold day like today except his scarf, and two, holy-crap-he’d-just-crumpled-to-the-ground!
She’d rushed to him, worried, only to find him babbling about something, his breath coming in gasping heaves. One touch of his skin had bothered her even more; he was freezing! She’d hugged him and murmured a few encouraging phrases while trying to figure out why’d he’d be out here like this…
And then he’d broken down completely.
Marinette considered herself fairly rational, and had never bought into the stupid belief that boys shouldn’t cry or whatnot, but she was still just a teenage girl, and her crush was suddenly kneeling in the snow in front of her, sobbing.
OHMYGOSH, OHMYGOSH, WHAT-DO-I-DO???
Okay, she told herself, just breathe. You want to help him. Well, first off—no coat. And gasping in all that freezing air like that—he’s going to catch hypothermia! NO, DON’T PANIC!! Get him out of here and someplace warm!
She wasn’t sure if he heard her call his name or give him instructions, but he limply allowed himself to be led back to the bakery. Her parents were both busy, (thank God, she wasn’t sure how to explain this,) so she led him up the stairs to her room where they wouldn’t be disturbed.
It wasn’t until after she’d sat him on her chaise and wrapped a blanket around him that she heard him speak.
“Do you hate me?” he asked, sounding miserable.
“What??” she exclaimed, totally shocked. “Of course not! Why would you think that??
“You think I’m stupid, then?”
“WHAT??” Okay, now she was floored. Where was this coming from?? Maybe he was just embarrassed? “No, of course not! Everybody cries now and then!!”
“You lied to me,” Adrien said, glaring up at her. Marinette froze as he held up the end of his scarf that she’d woven her signature into. “You let me believe this was from my father, but he didn’t recognize it at all.”
“Oh,” she said weakly, feeling the color drain from her face. “Well, I—you see… I didn’t want to spoil—you just looked so happy!—and I…. You’re right,” she said, finally, her shoulders sagging. “I should’ve told you. I was afraid it would just make you angry, and on your birthday too! And I know your father must be busy—”
“Don’t you dare defend him,” Adrien snarled. “He stole something of yours and presented it as his own—no, worse! He probably had Natalie do it so he wouldn’t get his own hands dirty! I—I….” He buried his face in his hands.
“I hate him.”
Marinette stood stock-still as that pronouncement was accompanied by more hot tears flowing through Adrien’s fingers.
“I hate him, but I love him cause he’s my father, but he’s a jerk, and I know I shouldn’t call him that ‘cause it’s rude but it’s true, and I just wish—I wish… I DON’T EVEN KNOW!” he yelled, frustrated. He took a deep breath. “I thought, if nothing else, I could at least trust him, you know? He’s my father. But I… I can’t.”
“So, you don’t trust me anymore either?” Marinette asked softly. She didn’t want to make this all about her, she just wanted to help, but she wasn’t sure she could do that if Adrien saw her as part of the problem. Maybe she needed to leave? To her relief, Adrien looked up at her for a moment and shook his head.
“I came here because I thought I hated you. I thought I was angry at you, but I’m not,” he admitted. He snorted. “At least you had good intentions.”
“Didn’t help much, though,” she muttered. She bit her lip. “I’m so sorry. Is there anything I can do for you?” she asked hopefully.
He let out another laugh. “You’ve already given me more than I deserve,” he said, indicating his scarf and the blanket around his shoulders.
“If you’re still sad, then it wasn’t enough,” Marinette said firmly. He thought for a moment.
“Could I…,” Adrien asked slowly, “could I have another hug? I just… I feel so cold inside… like I’m freezing… and that was the one thing that—oof!”
Marinette hugged him tightly, smiling when she felt him laugh and hug her back. It was a bit awkward; since she was standing and he was sitting down, so he was really just hugging her stomach, but it seemed to do the trick. When she felt him start to relax, however, she realized that he had no intention of letting her go, even if he was already warm again.
So, she pushed him away just enough to sit beside him, thinking he might want to lean his head against her shoulder or something, but he just pouted (he pouted at her!!) and pushed her down onto the chaise until she was laying down, where he buried his face back into her stomach.
She giggled, her face bright red, both at the intimacy of their position and the fact that—
“That tickles!” she protested, squirming as he nuzzled her.
“But you make such a comfy pillow,” he countered, laying his head back on her stomach contentedly. After a few moments, she felt him relax completely.
“Ugh,” she said, giving up and carding her fingers through his hair automatically. “You are such a lap cat.”
“Only if I’m your lap cat, my lady,” he answered sleepily. She rolled her eyes at Chat’s typical response—wait. She wasn’t with Chat.
They both froze.

25 Days of a Miraculous Christmas, Day 19: Pretend Girlfriend for Family Dinner
Today’s drabble was requested for Chlonath by @auroralynne. I decided to write this story in the same universe as this drabble so Chloe and Nathaniel are long-time friends. :D
“What if someone asks me if I’m Jewish?” Chloe twisted her hair up in an elegant bun and Nathaniel handed her a clip to secure it.
“Believe me, no one is going to think you’re Jewish.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” she frowned, messing with a few flyaway hairs.
Nathaniel shook his head with a grin. “Nevermind. Thanks for doing this. It’ll be nice not to be asked a million times in a two-hour span when I’m going to find a nice girl and settle down.”
“At least they care.”
He shifted uneasily. “Yeah, I guess.”
“I mean, I would invite you to dinner with my family as my pretend boyfriend, but that would mean there would actually have to be a family dinner,” she continued, picking up her mascara for a refresh.
“Sorry, Chlo.”
“Don’t be. I’m not,” she sniffed, turning to him. “How do I look?”
“Gorgeous as always.”
“Thanks, sweetheart,” she winked, sauntering past him. Nathaniel inhaled sharply. It was going to be a long night.
___________________________
“I don’t see a ring. Where’s the ring?” Nathaniel’s aunt demanded. “Look at these cheekbones and that pretty blonde hair! We need these genes in our family, Mouse.”
Nathaniel flushed and his arm tightened slightly around Chloe’s middle as he tried to pull her back. “This is still pretty new, Auntie.”
“Well, don’t let her get away.” She patted both of their cheeks and moved into the living room.
“Sorry,” he sighed. “That was what, the fifth time your genes have been brought up tonight? I think everyone’s tired of a bunch of redheads running around. My uncle Matthew claims we have a ginger curse on our line.”
Chloe laughed. “At least they aren’t stupid. We would make beautiful children.”
A blush raced across Nathaniel’s face and he coughed to clear his throat. “Thanks again for doing this. I think it makes them happy to believe there’s hope for me.”
“Oh, please. Stop being so self-deprecating.” Chloe pinched his cheek with a sly grin. “Mouse.”
“I knew I would regret this.”
“You have no idea. Can we step outside for a minute though? I’d really like to get some fresh air.”
“Sure, let’s go in the backyard.” They grabbed their coats and worked through the crowd of Kurtzbergs and Goldfelds to the back door.
“Man, it’s freezing,” Chloe complained, pulling her coat tighter around her.
“That happens in winter,” Nathaniel teased but wrapped his arm around her as they settled down on the bench of the picnic table.
“We need to talk.”
“Yikes.”
She leaned against him. “Stop. It’s not really bad.”
“What’s up?”
Chloe began to trace the wool edging on his gloves with her own gloved finger. “Why haven’t you ever brought anyone here before? You’ve dated.”
“Never anyone serious.”
“Then what made you decide that this was the year you needed to bring someone?”
“I don’t know. We’re graduating and I knew the marriage thing would come up and thought it would be nice not to be the awkward, single guy in the family for once,” he mumbled.
“You don’t have to be single.”
“Yeah, they’re just lining up.”
Chloe pulled back. “Are you freaking kidding me, Red?”
He blinked in surprise. “What?”
“Girls are flirting with you constantly!”
“What?! No, they aren’t.”
“You’re either stubborn or oblivious. I know girls have even offered to model nude for you to draw.”
“Well, that was for art class.”
“They didn’t care about the class, you dense ginger.”
Nathaniel frowned. “None of them were right for me.”
“Why?” she demanded.
He shrunk in on himself. “Please, can we not do this?” he asked quietly.
Chloe snapped her mouth shut, irritation easing away at the look of discomfort on his face. She gave him a stiff nod and they looked over the dark backyard.
“I’m sorry,” he finally said. “i just can’t talk about it.”
“You know you can tell me anything.”
“Not this.”
She linked their fingers together, the action bulky and alien with the gloves. “You’re my best friend, Nath.”
“You’re my best friend too.” The other things he wanted to say to her sat on the tip of his tongue but Nathaniel kept his lips sealed tight. She was his best friend and pretend girlfriend for the night. He convinced himself once again that he could be content with that.

Wintery Warm Drabbles - 24th “Christmas Eve“
Sorry, I was super busy with Christmas. But here's the last two prompts!
Ao3 / FF.net
“Sorry I’m late, kitty, my parents are going crazy with Christmas preparations…”, Ladybug greeted her partner with a quick kiss, then she sat down next to him, “Did you wait for too long?”
He shook his head, managing a smile.
“Ah, no. Maybe a few minutes, my lady.”
She leant against him, resting her head on his shoulder with a happy smile.
“Hawkmoth’s been silent, lately. I’m glad even he understands what Christmas means.”
Chat grabbed her hand that rested in her lap, sighing as he interlaced their fingers.
“Yeah… Maybe…”
A small moment of silence rested between them, then she looked up to him, lightly squeezing his hand.
“… You okay?”
He huffed, pressing his lips together and looking off in the distance, obviously not wanting to meet her gaze. Instead of worried she now grew annoyed, furrowing her eyebrows before lifting one.
“Adrien Agreste.”, she began in a scolding tone, “You tell me right now what’s bothering you on Christmas Eve.”
He grumbled, shaking his head.
“Adrien, c’mon. I don’t want you to be sad on Christmas!”
He huffed, then forced himself to grin, turning to look down at her.
“You missed a pun. What’s bugging me on Christmas, get it?”
She gave him a very, very long scolding gaze. Her eyebrows furrowed together and her piercing blue eyes drilled a sharp gaze right into his. He gulped.
“Adrien.”
His name in this tone was enough for him to slide away from her, flop down on his stomach and rest his forehead on her thigh, wailing comically loudly.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, my lady, but I couldn’t get an appropriate Christmas present for you, I’m so, so sorry! I searched and I wracked my brain over this and I couldn’t, I just couldn’t find anything!”
Her angry mood vanished within the second and she laughed, patting his head. His arms slowly wrapped themselves around her waist and he whined as her slender fingers worked through his blonde locks.
“Aww, kitty cat…”, she giggled, brushing his hair away from his face so he could turn his head to the side, “It’s not that bad, you know?”
He grumbled, nuzzling closer to her and letting his claws brush over her lower back to make her shiver a little. She giggled, getting the same effect with him when she scratched up the back of his head to his cat ears.
“But I wanna make my girlfriend proud…”, he murmured, only to have her bending down and kissing his temple.
“Oh Chaton, I am proud of you… And happy to be with you. And ever since the ball you tried to spoil me anyways, so don’t worry. Besides – you already gave me a Christmas present.”
He turned around to lay on his back, furrowing his eyes while looking up to her.
“I already gave you a Christmas present?”
“Yeah, you were my Secret Santa, remember? A cinema gift card.”
He rolled his eyes, but she cupped his cheeks and grinned, squishing his face a little.
“I loved it. And you also gave me a really big Christmas present.”
Once again, he gave her a questioning look and she squished his cheeks together to pucker his lips. Then she leant over to give him a little peck, giggling.
“Which one?”, he asked against her lips, “… I don’t remember giving you another?”
“Well, you yourself.”, she answered, her breath mingling with his, “I love you, Chaton.”
He grinned and sat up to kiss her back. She buried her fingers in his hair and pulled him closer, grinning against his lips – until she felt something wet on her skin.
She didn’t think of it as something bad, at first. It could’ve been snow.
But it rolled down her cheek and reached her lips. Only then she realized it was salty.
Ladybug quickly opened her eyes and parted from Chat to see his eyes reddened and tears leaking from them.
“Chat?”, she asked, now worried, and brushed the hair out of his face, “Chat, oh gosh, did I do something wrong? I’m so, so sorry Chat… I didn’t mean to upset you. Adrien? Please, please don’t cry…”
Much to her surprise he merely chuckled, shrugging and brushing the tears off. Then he shifted so he could pull her on his lap, resting his forehead on her cheek.
“No, you didn’t do anything wrong, my lady. I just-… I kinda have nobody to come home to. Nathalie and the Gorilla are with their family, my father is who knows where again and-… You saying you love me is really relieving. These are tears of happiness, princess.”
She hummed grumpily, her arms tightly locked around his neck. While looking off the roof, where she saw Notre Dame sitting enthroned above the city, she held him closer.
“… Come home with me.”, she finally whispered, turning her head so she could press a little kiss to his forehead, “Maman and Papa will be thrilled to have you and I don’t want you to be alone. We’ve got enough food for all four of us and you’ll have it warm and with people who love you on Christmas Eve. To hell with your father.”
He looked up to her, surprised, but her frown only deepened as she met his gaze.
“Come home with me.”, she repeated.
Over the deepening blush he struggled to form coherent words but as they were out he couldn’t help but feel like the happiest boy alive.
“… I am home, my lady.”

ML Winter Week Day 5- Snowfall
"Bye bye, little akuma," Ladybug says cheerfully. She tosses the glass bottle into the air and cries, "Miraculous Ladybug!"
It never ceases to awe her as the magic of her Miraculous restores the city, wiping away all of the damage caused by the akuma.
She turns to Chat, her fist extended, only to see a sprig of mistletoe dangling in her face and Chat's face dangerously close to hers.
Instantly, she knows what he wants, and he confirms her suspicions almost immediately. "Kiss instead of a fist?" He smirks at his witty little rhyme. She rolls her eyes.
"Not a chance, Kitty," she replies, and wraps her yoyo around a lamppost, swinging away into the chilly Christmas night.
Chat sighs forlornly. "Someday," he vows.
...
The following Christmas, she's barely cleansed the akuma after grueling battle when the familiar sprig of mistletoe is waved in front of her face again.
She anticipates the inevitable rhyme, and he doesn't disappoint. "Kiss instead of a fist?"
Once again, she rebuffs him. "Nope, sorry, gotta go." She disappears once more into the night, leaving a crestfallen cat behind her, but he is not quite disheartened yet.
...
The Christmas after that one, yet another vulnerable victim is akumatized, and yet again Marinette has to formulate a brilliant excuse as to why she has to depart from Alya's Christmas party so abruptly.
She and Chat Noir meet up, fight the akuma, and Ladybug calls her Lucky Charm. Chat distracts the akumatized villain while she figures out a plan to destroy the akumatized item.
The blanket is tossed up five minutes later and the akuma is purified, as per routine. Ladybug swivels, hoping her partner has turned over a new leaf and has not brought along a sprig of mistletoe.
Of course, she is foiled.
"Kiss instead of a fist?" he pleads.
She feels bad for rejecting him, but it has to be done. She genuinely doesn't have any feelings for him.
"I'm sorry, Chaton, but no," she says. "And next year, could you please come up with another line? This one is becoming overused."
She smiles apologetically and exits. Chat is more bemused than despairing, but he has another idea.
...
Another year passes, and soon Christmas has returned. Marinette's feelings toward Adrien have not vanished, but feelings for another blonde have blossomed. One with cat ears and a leather suit.
He visits her on her balcony every night, and she learns more about the more sensitive side of him. He is not the flirtatious, pun-loving cat he is around Ladybug, but with Marinette, he tends to be more open. And she discovers the true extent of his feelings for his spotted partner. And it astounds her.
It is not a mere infatuation, as she had previously thought it was, but he loved her more than anything, even life itself. He loved her kindness, her tenacity, her intrepidity, and most of all, her identity beneath the mask. He didn't care who she was, he would still love her unconditionally.
It frightened and assuaged her when he confessed this to her. And it altered her perspective and her feelings towards him infinitely.
On Christmas Eve, she bade her parents goodnight, but instead of going to bed straightaway as she promised them, she transformed into Ladybug and met Chat below the Eiffel Tower. He was pacing and halted as she approached.
"Hullo," she says genially. "Merry Christmas. I brought you a gift."
He looks up, his eyebrows raised. "I didn't know we—I don't have anything for you."
"Perfect," she grins. "My present is meant for both of us."
His eyebrows, if possible, shoot up higher and he looks bewildered as she thrusts the carefully wrapped present towards him.
"Just open it," she encourages.
He gently tears apart the paper, revealing a small brown box. He opens the lid and inside, nestled in the center of a cloth, is a sprig of mistletoe.
He balks, an unreadable expression crossing his face. Ladybug waits, holding her breath.
"Well?" she prompts with a broad grin.
"This is, well, er—I mean, are you implying—my Lady, I don't know what to say."
Ladybug is still smiling. "Then shut up and kiss me," she demands, plucking the mistletoe from the box and hanging it over their heads.
Chat still looks gobsmacked, but does as she asks. Their lips connect and Ladybug closes her eyes.
Fireworks explode behind her eyelids as Chat kisses her, slow but dizzying. His lips are soft yet firm, and they move against hers hesitantly.
She grows impatient and breaks away. "Is that all you can do?" she challenges, knowing he cannot turn down a test.
His trademark smirk makes an appearance. Without warning, he slams his lips against her. The force is enough to make her drop the mistletoe.
His arms wind around her waist and pull her into him as her own arms circle around his neck and pushing his head closer, deepening the kiss. Her fingers then snake up to his velvety hair, which she can feel through her suit, and ohmygod this is the best kiss she's ever had.
It's a kiss she's dreamed of having with Adrien, but Chat has made it a reality and all she could focus was kissing him and engaging in a tongue-war with him, which he wins.
It's like someone lit a match and set it on her nerves. The heady kiss lights her nerves on fire, and she wants more, more, more—
The mistletoe lays neglected on the ground beside them as they kiss with bliss. No one is not around to see Ladynoir become canon, which she is perfectly fine with.
Snow begins to drift down, at first lethargic, and then increasing. The heat between them eventually dies, so they snuggle together on a bench, not worried in the slightest about patrolling Paris.
Ladybug brushes a patch of snow off of her partner's shoulder and in turn he lazily steals a kiss from her, in which she wholeheartedly participates. This moment is priceless and perfect.
After all, they are just two people falling in love in the City of Love during the most magical time of year.

25 Days of ML Christmas - Day 2: Ugly sweater
Just do a drabble, maitre. Less than 1,000 words, maitre. Pffffffttt.
Audience: T
Words: 1635
ao3
Adrien stood on the doorstep of the Dupain-Cheng bakery staring at the gold logo on the glass. His emotions were a confusing mix of excitement, anxiety, wonder, and worry. He checked his watch and saw that they were 15 minutes early. He could knock, they were expecting them after all, but his arm wouldn’t move. Insead, he thought about the circumstances that had brought him to this exact spot on Christmas Eve.
It had all started 2 weeks ago. His father had mentioned nonchalantly that he was going on a business trip to Venice and was going to be gone for three weeks while he worked on an upcoming show. Nathalie would be accompanying him but his bodyguard would take him to and from school, all of his lessons, and his pre-arranged photo shoots. Adrien wished he could say he was surprised, but he really wasn’t. His fathers distaste in Christmas since his mother disappeared was exponentially worse every year. He knew better than to bring it up.
“I understand, father,” Adrien replied. “I hope you and Nathalie have a successful trip.” A curt nod was the all the reply and further conversation of the day. Adrien supposed that was more than usual; he should count his blessings.
As it was December, the subject of Christmas plans came up on the regular. The “fab four” as Alya was fond of calling them, were out to lunch at a cafe and Nino had asked what he was doing for the holidays. A simple question. An innocent question, really, and it had Adrien staring deeply into his cup of coffee.
“Ah, well, that’s a good question. I guess I’ll be at home with Gorilla. He might even help me put up the tree since my father won’t be home.” Adrien smiled fondly thinking of the large tree that hadn’t been opened in over two years.
“Your father...won’t be home? Like, at all?” Nino asked incredulously. “Are you shitting me?”
Adrien’s head snapped up. He realized all three friends were looking at him with a mixed look of pity and righteous anger. Pity for him and anger at his increasingly absent father. He just shrugged, the weight of his friends’ reaction stirring something inside him he wasn’t sure how to name. Looking at each of his friends in turn, he felt so grateful to have people on his side, willing to have his back no matter what.
“That is just unacceptable, Agreste. You can’t be alone on Christmas! It’s...it’s Christmas!” Alya threw her hands in the air.
“Yeah, dude. I agree with Alya. I’d offer my family up as a substitute but we are going to Morocco to visit family. I doubt your old man would be down with letting you out of the country,” Nino offered.
“You guys are sweet but really, I’ll be fine. Like I said, I’ll be able to put up the tree. And Gorilla will be there so I won’t really be alone. Thank you but I don’t want to impose on anyone’s family Christmas,” Adrien reassured his friends. A honk from outside let Adrien know it was time to go and he bid his friends farewell.
Little to his surprise, his friends didn’t listen to him. Chat Noir knew that his friends had been scheming behind his back for the past few days but was still impressed when he landed on the rooftop to see a banner hanging crooked on the brick wall that read Intervention in a scrawling, red font. He looked at each of his friends’ serious faces and was torn between laughing at their antics and apologizing on the spot for whatever wrong he had committed against them.
“Dear Adrien,” Carapace started with no other preamble. “The fact that your pops is leaving you for Christmas fucking sucks. He is a grade-A douchebag and a terrible human being. It is unfair that you are being left alone for the holidays and we are here to correct this gross injustice.” Chat smiled at his friend. He was little torn - he was talking about his father after all - but he knew his heart was in the right place. He appreciated the sentiment nonetheless.
“I’ve already told you guys. I’m not going to be…”
“Dear Adrien,” Rena Rouge cut him off and gave him a look that could shut even his father up. “We are here this fine day at this grand intervention to tell you that you are not spending Christmas home alone with only Gorilla for company. We, your friends, are going to make sure that you are surrounded by people who love you, have enough food to feed an army, and the most delicious hot chocolate and croissants in all of Paris.” She quirked an eyebrow at Ladybug who blushed slightly. Chat was still confused but a seed of hope had been planted and he was eagerly awaiting the end of the intervention.
“Dear A..Adrien,” Ladybug’s blush deepened as Chat’s full attention was on her now. “The Dupain-Cheng family has offered to host you for Christmas. My mom and dad are already working out all of the details and planning to have all of your holiday favorites. We really want you to join us for le réveillon de Noёl and celebrate the holidays with us.”
Chat slid down until he was sitting on the roof, completely overwhelmed by his friends’ efforts to make sure he was included and surrounded by family on Christmas, even if it wasn’t his own. He could feel his throat tighten with emotion and his voice broke slightly as he responded. “You...you want me to celebrate Christmas...with you...and your family, my lady?”
Ladybug’s expression softened and she walked over to him. She bent down, flicked the bell on Chat’s collar, and then tapped him on the nose. “Of course, Chaton. I can’t have my kitty all alone on my favorite day of the year.” The moisture gathering in Chat’s eyes started to silently fall down his cheeks.
“So what do you say? Will you come?” Ladybug looked at him expectantly. Chat hesitated for just a moment before giving in. Taking a steadying breath, he took Ladybug’s hand in his own and brought it to his lips. “As you wish, my lady.”
Adrien stood in front of the Dupain-Cheng bakery. It was Christmas Eve and he and Gorilla were dressed in khakis and smart, elegant red sweaters from the Gabriel line. He was going to knock when he thought better of it and rang the doorbell. He immediately heard a squeal from inside and smiled. His lady was so cute. He could make out shadows walking towards the door before it swung open.
Standing before him was the entire Dupain-Cheng clan decked out in the most hideous, wonderfully terrifying Christmas sweaters he had ever seen. His eyes widen in surprise as he took in the scene in front of him.
“Adrien! You’re here! I’m so glad you guys could come!” Marinette rushed forward and grabbed Adrien’s hand. “You made it just in time. We just started singing Christmas carols and then we are going to eat! But first…” She was dragging him through the kitchen where his mouth was already watering with the goodies set out and up another set of stairs. When they reached the top, he realized they were standing in her bedroom. “I wasn’t sure if you would want one because, I mean, I know my family is kind of out there and we can be really eccentric at times and I know that THE Gabriel Agreste is your father, and he’s a jerk and all, but really fashionable so if you don’t want to wear it then I completely understand but if, by chance, you do, I mean, you can, I mean, well, here.” Marinette held out a monstrosity of an ugly Christmas sweater. It was green with red stitching and in the middle was a large black Christmas tree made of yarn that had plastic bulbs glued onto the branches. The star at the top and the colorful lights actually worked and curled under the tree was a small black cat with green eyes that lit up. To top it off, Joyeux Noёl had been hand stitched below the collar.
“Mari, I...I absolutely love it!” Adrien didn’t think he had ever gotten such a wonderful Christmas gift. He snatched the sweater from her, stripped himself of his nice if boring high-end sweater, and slipped the new one over his undershirt. He turned to admire himself in the mirror. Marinette came to stand next to him, a deep blush on her cheeks.
“We make a pretty cute couple, don’t you think, my lady?” Adrien leaned over with the most dashing Chat smile he could muster.
“A couple of nerds maybe,” Marinette mumbled but she smiled anyway. A cough sounded above them and they both looked up to see Tikki holding a sprig of mistletoe and a sheepish grin. Marinette narrowed her eyes at her conniving kwami before meeting Adrien’s bright green ones.
“May I?” he asked, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear before cupping her cheek. Marinette could only nod before their lips met in a chaste kiss.
“I’ve wanted to do that for while now,” he said on a breathy laugh. Marinette simply squeaked before crashing her lips into his again. A second cough broke them apart. Sabine and Tom were both poking their heads through the door in the floor.
“Well Sabine,” Tom started. “I’m not sure we could possibly get Marinette anything better than that this Christmas.” He said with a broad grin while his wife elbowed him in his side. Marinette blushed 5 shades of red before following them back down the stairs, a laughing Adrien behind her.

Day 5  << Day 6 >> Day 7
Prompt 6: Fuzzy by Bronte Pairing: Adrinette
"How many of those have you had?" Adrien asks, taking in the flush on Marinette’s cheeks with amusement.
"Um..." Marinette squints as she considers her glass, "A few? I think the bartender is making them a little stronger than necessary."
"Is he now?" Adrien raises a brow as she turns to wave at the young man behind the bar. He flushes pink and offers a shy wave in return before going back to filling glasses, "I'll bet he is. What’s this called?"
"A...a fuzzy navel," Marinette giggles, offering him the cocktail glass, "It’s silly right? But it tastes like peaches so...wanna taste?"
Adrien takes the proffered glass from her hand and makes sure to keep his eyes on the bartender, drawing the straw between his lips. Marinette was right of course; it was a little on the strong side.
"It is good," he murmurs, holding it out for her to take. Smiling, he lets his fingers slide over hers as he pulls her into his embrace, capturing her lips in a quick kiss.
Drunk Marinette is always responsive and she leans into the kiss, gasping when he takes her lower lip between his teeth and humming happily when he slips his tongue into her mouth. She tastes of vodka and peaches and faintly of the Agreste design department’s holiday dinner they'd just finished sitting through; Adrien opens his eyes and smirks against her lips, gratified to see the bartender glowering at them in frustration.
"But I think it tastes better on you," Adrien remarks as he releases her, stepping back and using the force of their movements to spin her around. Marinette giggles and wobbles back towards him, bracing her hands against his chest to catch her balance.
“We should…” Marinette blinks slowly, her half lidded gaze wavering as she struggles to focus, “We should dance.”
“Hmmm,” Adrien wraps his arms around her middle and considers his options for a moment, his curiosity getting the best of him. Sure, they could stay and dance the evening away until she sobers up a bit or…
He bends down and whispers something in her ear, the soft spoken innocence in his voice belied by the mischievous sparkle in his eyes. He gently nips the shell of her ear and Marinette’s face flushes pink, snickering breathlessly at the implication of his words and suddenly she’s learning back and snatching his hand off her waist, tugging him along and making a beeline for the door.
“I know just the place!”
~
“Here?” An elevator ride and two hallways later, Adrien looks from side to side at the conference room she’d lead them to and turns back around in confusion, “Are you sure?”
“Of course I’m sure,” Marinette replies, the final shreds of her common sense falling away. She kicks the door closed behind them and flicks the lock with her fingers, feeling the tingle of the vodka spread through her veins, “It’ll be fun!”
“This is my father’s conference room.”
“Your point?”
Marinette strips the cardigan from her shoulders and tosses it onto the nearest chair, her smile growing with every passing moment. She wriggles out of her dress next, the thin lace straps slipping off her shoulders one by one until the whole ensemble hits the floor with a quiet thump.
Adrien chews his lip for a moment, considering. If they were to get caught…
“Oh, fuck it.”
Marinette giggles as he reaches across, catching her around the waist and dragging her in his arms. She grabs fistfuls of his dress shirt and kisses him, the alcohol and the effervescence and the sudden heat drowning out any fears or anxieties of being caught in flagrante delicto in her boss’s (and future father-in-law’s) conference room. She guides him back towards the chair at the head of the table and Adrien knows exactly what she's up to and stills for a moment, gauging the grim humour of the situation, before tossing caution to the wind and finally kissing her back with fervor.
Marinette lets out a low moan as his hand snakes back to clasp the nape of her neck, the other cupping her ass and hauling her up onto the asymmetrically designed conference table. Her hands roam his body, unclasping each of his buttons one by one until she’s freed him completely, pushing the cashmere blend from his shoulders and onto the floor. She skims her fingers along his skin, through his dishevelled blond hair, over the muscles of his chest and abdomen, then down, down to the firm curve of his ass and the bulge at the apex of his thighs. He gasps into her mouth as she repeats the motion, over and over until he’s straining against the zipper of his wool trousers, unable to stifle the moan of frustration when her fingers drift away.
Adrien spreads her legs further apart and grinds their hips together, sucking a line of kisses along her jaw. She’s gasping now, all hot, breathy moans against his ear and Adrien can’t hold out for much longer, not with the way she’s grazing her nails against his scalp, drawing the purr he so desperately tries to keep underwraps from between his lips. Growling, he undoes the button of his trousers and Marinette is nothing but eager to help, pushing the fabric down past his hips until his cock springs free of his briefs.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this,” Adrien mutters as Marinette gasps into his mouth, his knuckles rubbing circles against her clit through her panties. He pulls away and Marinette gives a little sob of complaint at the interruption, bracing herself as Adrien raises her hips just enough to help her shimmy out of the thong she’d bought specifically for her outfit. He bends down to slide the strip of lace from her ankles and comes up slowly, sucking and scraping his teeth along the length of her inner thighs before pausing just below her lower lips, his eyes trained on her.
“W-why’d you stop?” Marinette gasps and tries to use her legs to beckon him closer, to get him to just do something already. She bucks her hips, the little sparks of pleasure radiating from her core increasing with the very thought of Adrien going down on her where M. Agreste would no doubt be sitting tomorrow morning. She takes her lower lip in between her teeth and closes her eyes, throwing her head back with the intensity of her fantasy.
Adrien watches it play out on her face and just knows what’s going through her mind and...fuck. He's never going to be able to sit here beside his father with a straight face ever again.
Straightening from his crouch, Adrien cups her ass with his palms and pulls her close, pressing his cock flush against her stomach. He moans low into her mouth as she scrapes her fingernails down his spine, the pleasure/pain of the sting combined with the pressure against his cock sending him soaring.
“Please,” she warbles, grasping onto his shoulders and wrapping her legs around his thighs. He doesn't waste another moment and takes himself into his hand, pushing himself inside her and fuck , Marinette is so, so hot and he’s so close already, the intensity of their situation coming to a fever pitch inside his mind. They could be caught having in his father’s conference room for Christ’s sake, and the risk of it all makes his cock twitch dangerously inside her. He worms an arm between them and flicks her clit with the pad of his thumb, bracing her against him with the other and thrusts and thrusts and he’s never even imagined this in his wildest fantasies and—
Marinette keens as he ups the ante, the pressure and the patterns he’s tracing against her clit drawing a throaty moan that seems to reverberate through her entire body and she wants him, she wants him so bad, wants him around and everywhere but right now, right now she can’t do anything but buck her hips and meet his thrusts helplessly, burying her face in his neck, worrying the tender flesh at the juncture of his neck. It feels so so good and he’s starting to lose his rhythm, starting to make those tiny, needy noises that always tell her that he’s close, so close that she can taste him, feel him twitching inside her and she throws her head back with abandon and clenches, content to hear him howl as he’s swept over the edge, coming hard in hot pulses inside her. His hips falter, his movements stutter and it takes a long moment before he comes back to himself, bleary and exhausted and thoroughly dishevelled.
“Did...you?”
Marinette licks her lips and leans back, bracing herself on her elbows, “Not yet.”
Adrien takes a deep breath and tries to gather his fuzzy thoughts, glancing down at his fingers. He’s only got a few brain cells working but this? This he can do.
Her heart is racing as he slips two fingers inside her and begins to return the favour, his thumb retracing its former movements against her throbbing clit. Marinette lets her elbows collapse beneath her and spreads out onto the conference table, groaning as he curls his fingers and adds a third, pumping them in and out. It won’t be long now, she thinks, revelling in the pleasant buzz in her fingers and toes as her climax approaches, swelling in her core until the pull is all encompassing, knocking her senseless.
Marinette opens her eyes and stares up at the ceiling, grinning from ear to ear. She hears Adrien doing something at the end of the table but she can’t be arsed to care, idling kicking her feet as the hang off the side of the table’s edge. She starts to giggle again, the heady murmur of alcohol still buzzing in her mind and in her limbs, elated and giddy.
“Proud of yourself?”
“Hm?” she raises her head off the table, her smile growing wider as Adrien zips up his trousers, his facial expression akin to a puppy that knows he’s been naughty.
“I can’t believe you made me do this,” he mutters, gathering up the rest of their clothing.
Marinette sits up and basks in the afterglow, “You know you loved it.”
Adrien can only grumble in agreement.

25 Days of a Miraculous Christmas, Day 14: Secret Santa
Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4:
Marinette looked down at the delicate charm bracelet in the gift box on her desk and found it a little hard to breathe. It was silver with pink beads and in the center a green paw was set beside a glittering crown. There were two possibilities. Chat Noir was in her class and had drawn her name for Secret Santa and was now teasing her or somehow someone had found out about their friendship (relationship?) and was holding it over her head. Her eyes darted around the room but her classmates all seemed focused on their own gifts. Nathaniel had wrapped the brightly colored scarf she had knitted around his neck and was smiling happily. Marinette squeaked, hands closing around the box when someone nudged her arm.
“Easy, girl,” Alya chuckled. “What’d you get?”
“Uh, a bracelet. You?”
Alya held up a large bundle of hair nets. “I have a feeling I know who drew my name.” Both girls looked over at Chloe who smirked at them before turning back to Sabrina.
“She’s such a brat,” Marinette muttered.
Alya waved a hand. “Little does she know that these will be excellent for keeping my hair out of the way when I’m helping my mom over the holiday,” she winked. “And at worst, the twins can use them for slingshots.”
Marinette laughed. “Silver lining.”
“Let me see the bracelet.” Alya grabbed for the box and Marinette reluctantly let her take it. Her eyes sharpened on the paw print. “Do you know who it’s from?”
“It’s Secret Santa, Al,” Marinette said nervously.
Alya tapped her nose and leaned closer. “Except I know the secret.”
Marinette swallowed thickly. “You, uh, you do?”
“It’s possible that someone else had your name originally and I know for a fact that another person begged for them to switch.”
Marinette’s eyes darted around the room again. “Really?” She saw Nino turn around to glare at Alya. He saw Marinette watching him and quickly engaged Adrien in conversation.
Alya chuckled and nodded her head towards the young men at the desk in front of them. “Well, I can promise you it wasn’t my boyfriend, so...”
“Adrien?” Marinette breathed.
The other girl winked.

“Hi, Marinette. Did you have a good day?”
Marinette jumped to find Alya had vanished from her side and somehow Adrien had taken her place on the steps outside the school. “Adrien! Uh, hi!” She waved awkwardly, the pink pom-poms hanging off her mittens swinging out. “How are you?”
“Good,” he nodded, looking around. “A little cold.”
“This snow kind of came out of nowhere, huh?”
“Yeah.” He shifted his weight, eyeing the silver car that had pulled up to the curb for him, Gorilla sitting patiently behind the wheel. “Hey, so, um, what did you get from your Secret Santa?”
Marinette lifted her left hand and pulled her mitten up to reveal the charm bracelet, the paw print and crown charm knocking together with a soft sound. “It’s really pretty, isn’t it?”
Adrien watched the charms sway for a moment before looking back up at her. “Do you like it, Princess?” he asked, voice soft.
“I love it,” she whispered back, a fierce blush flowing over her cheeks. “Adrien, I--”
A horn honked and Adrien looked back at the car in frustration before turning back to her. “I have to go to tutoring now, but can I come over tonight so we can talk?”
She nodded. “I’ll leave the skylight unlocked.”
A warm smile spread across his face and he leaned in quickly to kiss her on the cheek before darting off towards the car. Marinette brought her mitten-covered hand to her cheek in a daze as she watched him drive away.
“Well,” Alya drawled from behind, “looks like someone figured out their Secret Santa after all.”
“Funny how that happened,” Marinette replied, unable to wipe the smile off her face.
“Sure is since I originally pulled your name,” Alya grinned. “I do have one question though.” Marinette stiffened as Alya hugged her close. “Wanna explain the green paw print, M?”

25 Days of a Miraculous Christmas, Day 11: The Tree
Today’s prompt was requested for Tikki and Plagg by @talvin-muircastle. Season 2 spoilers from Dark Owl.
Plagg zipped into the Christmas tree and followed the sound of a tinkling giggle. “You look like an ornament in here,” he complained when he finally found Tikki resting against the metal pole of the artificial tree.
“Don’t be jealous. How’d you know I was in here?”
“I think I can sense you now. As soon as we walked in the door, I knew you were in the tree,” he answered, casually batting at one of the blinking lights.
Tikki’s eyes sharpened. “You haven’t said anything to Adrien, have you?”
He made a crossing gesture over his heart. “I know how you feel about it, Tik. I’m not going to betray your trust. Although you should know that he is beyond curious now. If I have to hear one more time about how he and Ladybug touched hands skin to skin, I’m going to revolt.”
She laughed softly. “It’s funny. Usually everything is Adrien this and Adrien that, but the past week all Marinette has been able to talk about is the trust Chat Noir has in her and how important it is and how much he means to her.”
“And round and round we go,” he grimaced. “Don’t you think they can know by now?”
The kwamis moved closer to the edge of the tree and peered out. Marinette was throwing a holiday party for her friends and almost the entire class had shown up. Tom and Sabine had hidden away in their bedroom for the most part and Marinette was smiling and laughing and bustling around as the host. Adrien was watching her with a small smile.
Tikki turned on Plagg. “He knows!”
“He does not know,” he huffed.
“He hasn’t ever watched her like this and you know it!”
“I don’t know what to tell you, Tik. I haven’t said a word.”
The ladybug kwami glared at him before returning her attention to the young man. Adrien scratched at the back of his neck and his long shirt sleeve rode up, revealing the lucky charm bracelet Marinette had given him. “Oh,” Tikki said softly.
“Figures,” Plagg grinned. “Marinette decides to fancy Chat and Adrien is all smitten with Marinette now.”
Tikki put a paw to her forehead. “And all of this is supposed to be about taking down Hawkmoth.”
“Aww, don’t be so hard on them.” Plagg floated back to the where the branches met the pole and settled down. “They deserve a little happiness.”
She joined him and curled up beside him. “I guess you’re right. Something bad is coming.”
“I can feel it too.”
“We’ll let them enjoy what they can for now.”
