i complain about this very regularly, and i know the night shift people out there get it, but before covid, walmart was the only 24 hour grocery store in most places. when they started closing early and opening at 6 the stores became ridiculously more crowded, especially early in the morning when night shift people are having to go in as soon as the doors open to be able to fit grocery shopping into their schedules. walmart said closing at night was to reduce crowds and allow for at-night stocking but they don't even do that. when we go in the morning they're stocking. the employees are taking up 50% of aisles to restock while the night shift workers are desperately just trying to get their shopping done and go home and go to bed. it's fucked up. it's inconvenient. it's a lie. and it needs to go back. this world would not run so smoothly without people who work nights, and so many people do work nights that i can't believe there isn't more night time society, just things open at night. yes that would create more night shift workers but it would also 1. mean more things are open at night for them and 2. more jobs available
Cjizzy for me is like. You know how you come home after a night out completely pissed and all of a sudden you're craving the greasiest, nastiest shit you can get your hands on? And then you find a slice of two day old pizza in your fridge. And it's exactly what you needed. In that moment, nothing else would do. Nothing has ever felt more right. You shove that thing in your mouth like it's your very last meal on this earth and enjoy a few moments of pure, unadulterated bliss before promptly passing out in bed.
The next morning, the very thought of that two day old pizza almost makes you puke. But there's no shame. No regrets. You know it's going to happen again. And you're totally fine with it. Because everything has its time and place, and even when most of the time it might be the last thing on your mind, every once in a while it's the best thing ever.
I just want to know, what do the Pokémon eat besides berries and bag goodies?
(Idk what the bag foods called HELP—)
Pokemon have a much wider variety of things they eat in The Present is a Gift than what we see in the games— though berries, apples, seeds, and gummies are still important foods! As a rule of thumb, I like to say that they can eat most IRL vegetarian dishes. There’s a plethora of things in the PMD world that replace most “animal” products— stuff like special plants, mushrooms, fruits, and vegetables— so they’re not limited strictly to vegan cuisine, but they’re not going to go around eating omelettes or anything like that. And there's no meat going into anyone's dinner because cannibalism is cringe, y'all.
For a fun bit of bonus info: Dusknoir is the best cook out of the crew, and Celebi is the absolute worst. Darkrai is pretty close to Dusknoir in skill once he learns how to cook, but he’s not comfortable without a recipe to follow, while Dusknoir is constantly tinkering with his favorites. Kip and Twig are next— Kip has a handful of basic recipes memorized, and Twig has a single recipe she came up with for spicy vegetable and berry skewers that she whips out whenever needed. Grovyle isn’t a skilled cook by any means, but he doesn’t put compost in dishes like Celebi does, at least, so he’s safe from being at the bottom of the tier list. For now.
Enjoy these two snippets of Celebi being chaotic in the kitchen:
I love you Steven Lim for always being excited to try new things. I love you Brittney Lee when you taste something so good it makes you dance. I love you Annie Jeong taking a very relatable and deserved nap. I love you Lizzie Lockard for always smiling. I love you Tammy Cho for being one of the coolest people on set. I love you new friends. I love you dishes I'll never taste but that look delicious. I love you Seoul. I love you wholesome content. I love you Watcher.
Hey so if anyone got any suggestions on what to do when you're stuck to liquid food only when liquid food is super tricky with eating disorder (and soup is THE hardest food to eat ever), I'm all ears cause I got two of my wisdom teeth extracted and I wasn't prepared for how hellish this would be <3
is there any better feeling than when you have a bunch of food on the cusp of going bad, and you manage to muster up enough energy to cook with it. like yeah, I didn't waste money and now I have stuff to eat! yay
