Charles Beck - Rock Pile
I do a fair amount of wandering around the coastal hills above the ocean and always note the rock piles scattered here and there on the hills. Once, they were not there but plate up-thrust happened and eventually they found a place where the sun shone and the wind and rain begin to slowly reduce them back to minerals.

Using Items from:
No CC, No Store item
EPs: WA, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Seasons, University Life and Island Paradise.
SPs: High End Loft, Fast Lane, Outdoor Living, Town Life, Diesel, 70s,80s &90s pack. I also own Movie Stuff but I’m pretty sure I haven’t used anything from this one in this lot (though maybe I should have, there are some very cool jars... 👀 )
DOWNLOAD
I use markers on my lots: level skip, hidden room, public room… So to be able to modify any of these buildings you need to have cheats on: ‘testingcheatsenabled true’, then ‘restrictbuildbuyinbuildings false’ To see/remove the markers you need ‘buydebug on.

So I ordered a crochet-along themed around Edgar Allen Poe sone time ago, and it's finally arrived. The yarn itself is gorgeous, but I've had nothing but issues with step 1. I've been back and forth whether it's me or the kit. Everyone has different tension, and ways of holding the yarn, so gauge is very important. This is 64 stitches wide, 45 rows tall, and gauge is 16x18.
There was already a misprint on the size of the hook, but I made gauge with a size 5mm, so I used that. Only to make only 36 rows before I ran out of yarn. So, even though I made gauge, it was wrong. I moved to the 4mm, and used tension so tight it have me a cramp. I managed 40 rows. An email suggests you can do 59 stitches. This will be my third time working this yarn, and it won't survive being frogged a third time.
I'm going to go with a 3.75mm and do the 59. If I don't make this, I give up, despite the expense of this kit. I know it can't be me now. There's no way you can make gauge and hit the finished measurements. This will be way, way smaller than it's supposed to be, but there's just no way around it. It's very frustrating, and I understand human-made things can have mistakes, but this isn't how I intended to spend my day off after the busiest and worst work night I've had in years.

Quick Kirby mini sprite doodle, with and without my Pride beanie. Kirby is fun to draw for some reason. Canvas is 20x20 (sprite itself 16x18 and 16x15).
Please don't repost. Reblogs are welcome and appreciated.
