Plot: Doctor Ruhari Hari Kaur (OC is South Asian ☺️) joins the 141 again, but this time as their doctor. After the betrayal of Shepherd and Graves, Task Force 141 begins their hunt on his whereabouts and locating Makarov.

Ghost stared at the yellow sign reading in black NO UNAUTHORISED PERSONNEL ALLOWED BEYOND THIS POINT on the white double doors that led to the operating room where Soap had been wheeled in by both doctors, surrounded by other medical staff.
As he walked behind them when they rushed ahead he heard them shouting all sorts of medical jargon. You were so calmly ordering for mLs of drugs with too many Zs. He looked down at his skeletal gloves, the fake bones once white now stained red with Johnny's blood.
Looking up again at the sign he thought of you. How your hands would also be bloodied, pouring deep into Soap's body, mending him.
You gotta save him he pleaded in his head. He couldn't lose Soap, not now. Not after what they had been through together in Mexico, Chicago... now this.
'C'mon Lt!' Soap's words rang through his skull. Guilt flooded his chest as he remembered moments of how blunt he had been to Soap...
Squeezing his fist tight, Ghost sighed and then walked down the corridor until he found himself a chair in an empty room and plopped the chair right outside those double doors. Sitting down, Ghost winced with pain, the cut sobbed as he sat down and moved his torso.
"Fuuuck" He growled quietly.
Leaning back, he shut his eyes letting the darkness wash over him.
...
Soap was lifted onto the surgical bed. As you and Peyton scrubbed in, the nurses dressed him. Through the window of the scrub room you watched as he was intubated, his bloodied clothes discarded in the yellow hazard bin.
Once scrubbed and prepped, you assume the lead role in the surgery. Neuro was your speciality, this was a spinal injury. This is your arena. Closing your eyes, you breathe in.
"It's a beautiful night to save lives" You say, opening your eyes. Peyton eyes crinkle, a sign she was smiling under her medical mask.
"10 blade" You say and the nurse gives your instrument. You place the edge of the blade two inches above the bullet wound, applying pressure with your index finger you slide the blade across the skin unveiling the flesh beneath.
"Suction" Peyton says and she moves in with the machine that gargles up the blood from the exposed muscle
Peeling back the muscular layers you clamp down areas needing support. Soap's lumbar was one display. No major damage could be seen.
"Bullet must've missed the lumbar" Peyton says
"L1 clear" You say inspecting the upper lumbar region, with your blade you move down
"L2 clear"
"Suction" Peyton says
"L3 clear" you say and then move down
"Suction"
As you looked around L4, there was a sudden gush of blood and the monitors started beeping rapidly
"Found the bullet" You say "Clarissa, Kerrison rongeur" holding your left hand up whilst holding the area with your blade as Peyton continued suction. The beeping subdued.
"Need another pair of hands for this" You say
Peyton gave the suction pipe to the nurse on her right and then took hold of a clamp and forceps.
Cutting away at the connective tissue and muscle you peel the layer as Peyton grabs the shrapnel
"Hard part now.." She said after depositing the shrapnel in dish
Rapid beeping started again. You and Peyton both move together, suction, cutting, threading and assessing any damage to the surrounding nerves.
"Pulse at 120" Clarissa said as she took hold of the forceps from Peyton
"Shit" You say as more blood gushed from the wound which was quickly slurped away from the suction pipe.
"Sutures" Peyton said and she began to sew up the first damaged nerve.
There was a increase in beeping
"Pulse 150"
"Let me do it" You say and Clarissa swiftly gives you a new set of sutures.
After adjusting yourself you look down "Surgical microscope please" And the microscope was brought down to your level and adjusted to your eyeline.
Focusing your eyes through the lense you begin to graft the a new nerve from the damaged nerve, cutting the damaged part and sewing the ends.
This was your element. Fixing the broken. Mending the hurt.
After 5 hours of intense surgery, you and Peyton were nearly finished. The beat of song playing off the speaker was echoing across the walls of the OR. Nodding your head along to the drum of Green Day's American Idiot as you finished suturing the final layer of Soap's skin.
"Nice finish" Peyton said as she cleaned the area "Stats are good" she added looking at the various monitors that beeped rhythmically along with the music.
"Pause music please" You said, one of the nurses pauses.
You cut the last suture and place the forceps onto the tray held by Clarissa.
"Good job Dr Kaur" She said nodding at you. You nod back and return to admire the handiwork which was being dressed by Peyton and another nurse.
"He is stable and stats are looking great" Clarissa says as you eye the monitor. You turn to her and smile, putting more effort to crinkle as your mouth was hidden behind the mask.
"We will take him back to the ICU just for observation" Peyton said as she moved over from Soap to you and Clarissa.
"I'll help take him" Clarissa said "Well done"
"No thank you" You say "Thank you everyone" You say loudly to the rest of the medical team all who respond with a cheerful thanks back.
"I'm gonna head back" You say
"I'll keep you updated, and let you know when the team can see him" Peyton says taking her gloves off as they left the OR, she tapped you on the shoulder and walked off.
Taking off your surgical cover, masks and gloves you wash the grimy sweat off your hands. The smell of strong disinfectant soap filled your nose.
Leaving the scrub room you walk off back towards the double doors where you had rolled Soap in. He was okay now. Had to wait until he was awake to see if there is any nerve damage to his legs...
Checking one of the clocks on the hallway you realise it was 11:49am, you longed for a hot shower and then the comfort of your bed. Walking through the double doors, midway through yawning you were met with a giant man sat in the middle of the hallway. The skull face gave you a jump. It took a few moments to register that it was Ghost.
"Lieut-"
Ghost leapt up from his chair and nearly toppled you over as he confronted you
"Is he alright? Did he make it?" He blurted, his eyes widening at you.
You stare back into his eyes, only just able to make out the blue iris.
"He's okay." You say, reaching your right hand up to to his shoulder.
"His legs, said somethin' abou' his legs" Ghost huffed at you
"Ghost, he is stable and in the ICU, regarding his legs, we will have to wait until he wakes up to assess any damage." You to him calmly
He takes in this information, your calm demeanor. Of course you know what you are doing he thought to himself
"Are you okay sir? You ask
"I'm okay" Ghost said quickly.
You look at him curiously, there was something off about him.
"Okay then.." You say moving away from him.
Ghost moves towards the chair and picked it up with his left arm, the sudden weight made him wince and groan as his unattended wound stretched and weep as he moved.
"Fuuck" He whispered to himself as he set the chair back down and placing his right hand over his wound on the left side of his waist.
"Lieutenant what happened?" You say rushing over to him
"Nothin'" He said trying to push you away. You scoff at him and roll your eyes.
"Ghost, I'm in no mood for bullshit" You say sharply at him. Ghost looked at you, eyebrows narrowed, your eyes slightly red and clearly tired.
He was being rude again.
"I got a nick" He said motioning to his wound looking at your stern face, eyes narrowed. Clearly annoyed. "Can you patch me up?" He asks, your stern face relaxed, softened.
"Right, come with me" You say letting out a big sigh and head out of the RAMC building and then back to the infirmary in Building 2.
Turning the light on you spritz the med bed and give it a quick wipe.
"Get your vest off" You say plainly to Ghost who follows your command. He unties the straps and then sets his vest aside. Attempting to take his hoodie off but he couldn't as the wound caused him to wince further.
"Need some help?" You say as you look over to Ghost who was clearly struggling.
"Alrigh' then" He said and braced himself as you walk closer to him, bringing your hands to his body, rolling the hem of his hoodie slowly and carefully.
Ghost winced again as you went near his waist.
"Might have to cut it off" You suggest looking up at him.
"Go on then" He mumbled, the edge of his mouth curved slightly under his mask.
Grabbing a pair of clothing shears, you cut the hoodie off Ghost, revealing a damp black shirt underneath, his bare muscular arms on unveiled. You look at his waist, and see a patch of dried up blood, parts of his shirt clung to his skin dried and wrinkled.
"Sit on the med bed please" You motioning to the bed and then you walk off to the bathroom to wash your hands. Sleep eludes you. Drying your hands you head back to where Ghost was, who was now sitting crouched on the edge of med bed.
Putting on a pair of gloves and grabbing a stool with your foot you slide close to Ghost, and lift the t-shirt. As suspected the parts that clung to the skin where dried stuck to the wound. An impromptu weak bandage.
"Gonna also have to cut your shirt around the wound, it's dried to the gash"
Ghost looked down at you.
"Can't you bandage it?" He asks and the expression your face held clearly showed he asked a stupid question.
Your look of disbelief subdued, and grabbed the scissors. Ghost's heart quickened. He didn't mind being shirtless. But not when he has been in the field with limited availability to shower, smelt like shit and especially in front of a woman he was interested in...
"Wai-" Ghost began but he was too late, you began to cut his shirt off him, exposing his sticky sweaty scarred skin.
As you cut away at the fabric you notice various deep pink and white scars adorned on his chest and abdomen. Dirt had built up in areas, but it was expected. A shower is the last thing you need in the field.
Grabbing some saline water and a towel, you wash away dirt surrounding the remaining cloth covering his wound. Gently, with your gloved fingers you peel the cloth away revealing the gammy wound. Inflamed and dirty.
"Lift your arm" You ask and Ghost does so and watches as your pour more saline to the wound, his eyes focused on the precision placement of your fingers on his waist, not ogling him.
He slightly winces as your fingers graze over a sensitive area. As you examine the area, you notice it was bumpy, sand had gotten into the wound.
"This area is very inflamed. Lie down, it'll sting as I clean it" You say gently
Ghost shuffled back and then. laid down and then turned his head to watch as you focused on cleaning his wound, your concentration unwavering as you focused on the task at hand. He noticed the lack of talking, just blunt and no joy. But then, you did just finish a 6 hour surgery.
He gazed at your tired eyes, noticed how you rapidly blink every now and then, your mouth pursed, no smile on show. You grabbed some small gauze and wiped the wound.
"This is going to need stitches" You say
"Hmm" Ghost mumbled "I'll let you get to work, I'll just be here" He adds
You laugh slightly and then finish cleaning the area before starting to suture the two layers of fatty tissue and muscle, pulling the flesh together again, wiping away any blood with clean gauze.
Ghost felt himself slip into the bed beneath him as you got to work, focusing on his breathing; in for four, hold, then out slowly for four. Drifting away, away from the chaos of the last 24 hours. Away from the chaos that still looms ahead of him.
<CUE FLASHBACK> 23rd August 2010 Ashfield Base, mess hall "Sergeant Riley" You said as you plopped down opposite your superior in the mess hall with your lunch, the hall was mostly empty, the radio played on the speaker overhead. "Cadet" Sergeant Riley said not looking up from his cup of tea and half-eaten sausage roll. "C'mon sir, you know my name" You quipp at him as you take a bite of your pizza. Simon looks up from his cup and stars at you, your eyes widened and the grin appeared on your face. "Cadet Ruhari" He sighed looking back at his sausage roll. "Cadet maybe no more" You say cheerfully Simon looked up quickly "What do you mean?" He asked "Captain asked if I wanted to come join full time, commit proper into the army." You said "Ah" Simon said quietly "Ain't you got some good brains for uni?" He added and looked at you as you shrugged "Maybe can do it later, but I do enjoy this" You say motioning the space around you. "Nothin' enjoyable about war" He said sharply You were taken aback "Of course not sir, I just meant as in discipline, camaraderie and the protection of one's country" "Hmm" Simon mumbles giving you a slight cold stare with his sharp blue eyes. In that moment of silence, the radio station at base start playing 1973 by James Blunt. The echoes of the piano filled your body and you began to twiddle your fingers to the beat of the drum. Looking at Simon you start to grin, he looks up at you as you begin to mouth the lyrics: Simona.. you're getting older Your journey's been etched on your skin... "Simonaaaa" You sing quietly and giggle Simon gazed at your joyous smile as you continued to mouth the lyrics of the stupid song that made a twist of his name. He watched on as you exaggerated the 'mona' part of Simona and laughed along with you. Simon knew the Captain was going to offer you a place in the army, but he had hoped you would decline. Going out in the field changes people. Changes the best of people. Turns them into someone else. Would you still be the same after you see the horrors of war? Simon wondered as he watched you finally finish the now cold slice of pizza. He would hate to see that beautiful smile disappear.

Hey love! Firstly, it took me like a week to reply to this...I started thinking about it too hard and then overthought it 😂
I'm gonna share some sword-insights from my personal experience. Each of these has different roles, and hopefully this helps you decide which is right for your scenario. i should say, shouldn't obscure your creative vision. If it works for you - go for it! Apologies for the word vomit, I just really like swords.
Longsword (and Claymore, which is basically a meaty scottish longsword but bigger) is a two handed weapon, designed for solitary, powerful strikes. As it's two handed, the force comes very much from the upper body, with a low amount of movement with the legs. It's very 'purposeful' - ideal for big swings, and big energy one-to-one on the battlefield.
This isn't to say a master couldn't use it one-handed, but it's too long and unwieldly to be sustainable. (See: Aragorn, LOTR.)

Crusader Sword - from the link you sent, I'd describe this as a type of broadsword based on the lengths (approx 35 inch blade). The Crusader name is essentially a design.
A broadsword is a good mid-size sword (and the one I currently train in, coincidentally) and allows much more flexibility and nimble attacks and defences. It's a one-handed sword, meaning that all attacks and defences are, duh, from one hand. The other arm is used for balance, or whatever. Most of the power comes from the arm holding the sword, and the wrists, as well as footwork. It can be carried on the hip, although maybe a bit cumbersome. (see Johnny Depp below - different hilt, same mechanics)

Shortsword - my wildcard suggestion if the two options you mentioned don't quite fit. The shortsword is a funny one, it's not the cool sword, but it IS probably the most useful. The nerd sword, if you will.
The shortsword is a short blade, natch - which offers max flexibility and response in a fight situation. It's all in the footwork, and the power behind the thrusts - because it's pretty light so YOU need to strike harder.
It's designed for close combat, including easy blocks and counters. Defo an indoor use sword, when you need to stab someone in the ribs and be done with it.
Because of the typical length (12-24 inches) it can be used as a single blade, or dual blades. Something you can't do with a broadsword cos you'd end up slicing yourself. You do need to know what you're doing with it though, as strikes won't land unless you hit the right place. It's all about the technique with this one, rather than a solitary killer blow like Longsword. (reference: Loki)
It also works well with a leather back holster. Just sayin.

Celeste's Tattoos
Firstly! Here are all the previous posts about my oc Celeste!!

Decided to tag anyone who liked my post where I was debating drawing these out or just describing them. Now onto describing her tattoos!
So her first tattoo of note is her spine tattoo of moon phases. Each moon is 2 inches long and wide, or 5.08 cm long and wide. The waxing crescent moon sits right between her shoulder blades and, if I'm estimating this about right, the full moon should be about mid back. All the phases expect the full moon are fully colored in in black.
The second and third tattoos of note are the XX on the inside of her left wrist and the IVIV on the inside of her right. These tattoos are Xanxus' and (my headcanon for) Aria's birthdays. Celeste obviously adores all her kids with all her heart, but these two are her babies, hence why they have pretty visible tattoos on her.
On the front of her right thigh she has an outline of a rainbow. Only Orange is colored in, representing the loss of her wife Luce. (In the future arc, all but yellow are colored in by then.)
On the side and some of the back of her right thigh she has a large cluster of star outlines. A few have different numbers in them that correspond with the Arcobaleno's birthdays, anniversaries of different things important to her, and most of her other kids birthdays.
On the side of her left thigh she has two crescent moons flipped away from each other with the date 22-12 written underneath. This is a reference to Bel and Rasiel. She has the moons flipped away from each other because she knows her boys didn't get along despite her best efforts to prevent that, so it's her way of at least stopping it symbolically.
Moving back up her body to the two tattoos I find the most fun lol. Under her right breast, mostly on her rips, she has a colored outline of a black lily. This represents the Giglio Nero Famiglia and her inherent loyalty to them now since she married Luce.
Under her left breast, again mostly on her ribs, is a rose outline. This is to represent her family. Though she has a strained relationship with it and the few remaining members, she can't bring herself to fully hate it. To her, though deeply flawed, she still loves her family and all the joyful things it brought her.
On her right shoulder, she has a simply skull outline tattoo. Not only is this a reference to her assassination organization, the Cranio, but it's also a direct reference to her first love and childhood best friend, Skull. She frequently debates to herself about getting more details on it in violet to further reference him.
On her left shoulder, she has a moth tattoo. This is one of the few tattoos on her that doesn't hold a lot of meaning other than she likes moths. Now what type of moth, I'm not sure on yet. Leaning towards luna moth or polyphemus moth.
She may very well get more tattoos eventually, if I do give her more, I'll update this list lol

Hiyori knows how to sharpen swords and clean them properly. Her father showed her his routine to keep the blade on Enma maintained and at its sharpest. She continued to do this for twenty years for her father's blade until it was given to Zoro.
While Zoro was passed out from the battle when Kadio was finally defeated, she took care of him while sharpening his other two blades as well to make sure they were not damaged from the battle.
Hiyori has scars on her back and hips from customers who were too rough and abusive. She endured them for years as she trained to become an oiran until she finally became the highest ranking. She never told Denjiro, but he figured it out and did his best to make sure the worst ones never came back.
Hiyori's mother played the shamisen and promised to teach her when she turned five years old. However, she was only taught one song, Moon Princess. This was why she learned how to play the shamisen for 13 years to become the best, but she could never hold back her sorrow when she played as she remembered her family.
The reason she wore a kitsune fox mask was to honor her brother as he gave her a nickname or referred to her as being sneaky like a fox.
Hiyori is very awkward with forward affection, especially from strangers due to her time as Komurasaki. She had to deal with stalkers and people trying to attack her claiming it was due to their love for her. She doesn't believe in affection from someone right away, but once she gets to know them she will become more comfortable with them.
She hates spicy food and cannot eat anything super sweet. However, she loves the sour taste of fruits and sake that would be sour.
Hiyori is a very heavy drinker as she can handle her alcohol very well from developing a tolerance for over ten years as she underwent training as Komurasaki.
Hiyori is pansexual as she is more attractive to a personality than the outside appearance. However, normally she leans toward women more compared to men romantically as she had horrible experiences with them during her time as Komurasaki.
Zoro is one of the men she actually likes because Toko likes him as he protects them. He reminded her very much of her father as he taught her about the honor of a samurai which Oden taught her real men follow. Due to Zoro saving them and being the ideal man in her eyes, Hiyori cares for him deeply which is why she is very affectionate towards him.
Hiyori suffers from PSTD when it comes to physical contact with men. She prefers it on her own terms, but she will break out in a sweat and could potentially have a panic attack. When she slept with Zoro she saw no choice but to keep them all warm plus she noticed how relaxed Toko was, so she trusted her daughter. Still, you could see the hesitation on her face and sweat droplets forming slightly.
Hiyori has a higher body heat compared to most normal people. Her body temperature just runs higher.
She has a really good balance as she was able to walk in 12-inch Okobos very well on her own using very little support from others, however, when traveling long distances she will need to learn on someone's shoulder.

Megalograptus is a genus of eurypterid, an extinct group of aquatic arthropods commonly referred to as sea scorpions which lived throughout the worlds oceans during the katian stage of the late Ordovician period some 453 to 445 million years ago. The first fossils of megalograptus were recovered by L. B. Welch near Liberty Ohio, in rocks of the Elkhorn Formation in 1874. Welch then presented his findings to be described by Samuel Almond Miller in 1874. Miller mistakenly believed the fossil material, consisting of a postabdominal tergite and two fragments of an appendage, was the integument of a graptolite (a member of Graptolithina, an extinct group of colonial pterobranchs), and gave it the name Megalograptus, meaning "great writing" in greek. With the species name M. welchi being in honor of L.B. himself. The status of Megalograptus as a graptolite was first questioned in 1908 by Rudolf Ruedemann, who was researching Ordovician graptolites. Ruedemann instead recognized the remains of M. welchi as eurypterid fossils, this idea would be confirmed by August Foerste and Edward Oscar Ulrich later that same year. In the time since several additional more complete specimens have been recovered throughout both the USA and Canada representing at least 5 species: M. welchi, M. alveolatus, M. ohioensis, M. shideleri, and M. williamsae. Megalograptus varied considerably in size with the smallest species reaching a mere 3.9 inches (10cms) in length while the largest reached 2.7 feet (78cms) in length. Megalograptus is easily distinguishable from other eurypterids for sporting 6 sets of appendages with the third being particularly massive spined and forward-facing, as well as a unique sharp spike-shaped telson which has cercal blades capable of grasping. The carapace of Megalograptus was vaguely quadratic in shape and flattened, lacking a marginal rim, sporting large kidney shaped compound eyes and six small downward-facing spikes. Certain fossils of megalograptus are so well-preserved that researchers know that megalograptus would have been a mix of brown and black in coloration. In life Megalograptus lived in near-shore marine environments feeding upon prey such as trilobites, mollusks, other invertebrates, conodonts and early fish. Megalograptus was inturn preyed upon by large orthocones such as Cameroceras and larger eurpyterids including other megalograptus individuals.

Harper and her moms :)

Harper has scruffy hair tied into two braids with ribbons. She is covered in freckles. Harper wears a green tunic with a rainbow colored vest on top and a bow around her collar. They have a brown leather corset kept together with gold chains. Around Harper's waist is a belt with her scabbard and a small pouch attached. They wear dark green poofy pants and a leather boot on their right foot. Their left foot has a prosthetic that attaches at the knee.
Harper's sword is a cutlass with a silver blade and a gold handle. The handle has lightning streaks painted on it.
Marmalade is a mischievous looking little orange cat. He has bright green eyes, similar to Harper's. Has more braincells than the average orange cat.

Destiny
Casey startled awake. He knew he was in shock, the familiar blur at the corners of his vision warned him so. There was an attempt to stand that didn't even make it an inch off the floor. He was bleeding heavily from a variety of places; his chest, his arm, his leg, his stomach. New and bold scars were in his future.
Oh.
A future to think of. That was nice.
He wasn't dead.
"Fuck," He croaked. Had his throat been slashed again? He sounded like rocks in a wood chipper. "Fuck!"
Casey couldn't help but exclaim. Shock was keeping him awake and alive but excruciating pain was playing along his nerves. Another attempt to stand went nowhere. He was definitely still on the slave traders' ship. The dull bronze and steel around him plus the stench of decay and misery told him all he needed to know. Some measure had been triggered which turned all auxiliary lights red but there was no screeching alarm.
Footsteps padded across the flooring. Casey fumbled for his gun but his fingers didn't move. Shit, shit, shit--
"It's you."
It was a kid. They looked around 13 or 14, probably human, with a shock of strawberry blond hair and freckles everywhere. The slave trader imprisonment garb sent physical pangs of agony through Casey's head but he gritted his teeth through it. Dr. Charm would be getting a lot of business from him once he got back home.
"Me?" He rasped.
"Yeah, you--"
More kids trotted down the hall, of all genders, species, and size. They ranged from little to young teen and each one looked scared, hungry, tired. Casey swallowed the nails in his throat.
"I think I blacked out," Casey fumbled for his phone with his good hand. The screen was absolutely fractured. It was dead. "I woke up here. What--"
The first kid shook their head then nodded. Unlike the younger ones, they seemed to understand the situation.
"They're all dead," They offered him a little smile. "You were insane out there. I guess... It makes sense you blacked out.
Casey winced as images flashed behind his eyes. A volley of gunfire, smoking barrels, the slick slide of a blade through flesh. He remembered snapping someone's neck, stabbing someone through the eye, shooting someone with their own gun. Perhaps all the blood on his clothes weren't his own.
"Who's flying the ship?" Casey tried to stand. Some of the kids scuttled over and did their best to help.
"It's on autopilot," They replied, watching him tentatively but without malice. "I can't fly it. None of us can."
"We can figure it out," Casey grunted as he finally was rendered upright. The kids flocked around him and helped him walk. "Let's start by seeing if we can call anyone."

The walk to the bridge was agonizing. Casey managed to pry his prosthetic's hidden compartment open. He gave himself numbing and clotting shots all over which was probably a mistake but the pain threatened to knock him out. The bridge was blood-soaked though a little less so than the rest of the damned ship.
"God, I remember all of this shit," Casey grumbled, doing his best to keep himself stable. "Which means this should be the communications interface."
He double-tapped on the screen set into one table of control panels and a rolodex of contacts phased into view. Perfect. He dialed 101 and waited as the line buzzed. One ring. Two rings. Three rings--
"This is intergalactic authorities, please describe the manner of your situation."
"Yes, hi, this is Cassius Florian Hart," Casey barked. "If you trace this ship's signature, you'll find us. Run the sheets, this is a slave trader ship, I've just freed at least a dozen kids and they need to be escorted off this heap of shit and brought back to their families."
"I'm sorry, sir, did you say slave trader ship?"

Casey shivered at that. Disgusting. Thank god it was over.
"Do you or any of the kids need medical attention, sir?"
"Definitely, I'm worried I'll pass out before you guys get here. If I do, we're all in the bridge."
"Do your best to stay conscious, sir, help is on the way. We should have officers and medics at your location in under 30 minutes."

Casey put the call on hold and dialed a second line. It rang until it went to voice message. Milo was probably just away from his phone. No matter.
"Hey, pumpkin, it's me," Casey couldn't help but smile even if it hurt. "I'm alive! Intergalactic authorities are on their way to pick me up, buncha kids were on the ship but all the big bastards are dead. I should be home soon--"
He glanced at the ship's HUD. He'd been gone for only two days.
"I'd say certain things but there are kids present," A few of them giggled. "I'll need a new prosthetic but we can handle that when I get back. I love you, Milo. See you in a bit."
Casey ended the message and brought the other call back. It didn't seem like anything had happened, just chatter between comms. Finally, Casey felt his legs buckle beneath him. The kids sounded distressed as he collapsed into the captain's chair.
"Cassius?!" Starr jumped to attention and scrambled over. "Are you dying?!"
"No, no," The hunter wheezed a laugh and deflated further into the seat. "I'm just tired. The authorities should be here soon. Just make sure everyone stays here and sits tight. If I pass out...."
The last thing Casey saw was Starr's panicked expression before the world went dark.

Before they could find their voice, Casey sank a knife into one of the other trader's neck, severed their spinal column. He didn't want to fire anything yet. Bullets needed to be saved for when the firefight started and taking out as many of these bastards out as silently as possible would give him a massive upper hand. As Plillup passed out and the other trader fell, Casey dashed onto the bridge and slammed a fist into one of their faces, knocking them out cold. The last trader got their throat slit and the quartet was down.

"Like shit," Casey rolled his bad shoulder. His prosthetic was gone. "Where am I?"
"Medbay on a ship, what kind I cannot disclose," He checked his watch. "We should be pulling up to Megacomplex 68 in a few hours. Should be enough time for you to be decently heeled. Got you shot up with all the good stuff, best medicine the government can buy. You'll need a couple weeks of taking it easy but you've got no holes in you. Maybe a few new scars."
"You're taking me home?" Casey deflated a little, relaxing. "Fantastic. I really appreciate it."
"Few questions for you first, son," Rick flipped a few pages on his clipboard. "Is it factual that you were born in 1859 on Earth on Cheyenne land?"
Casey's eyelids fluttered. It was a quiet shock to hear the statement said aloud.
"Y-yes, that is correct."
"Mhm. And is it true you were taken by," Rick narrowed his eyes to read the page. "By a fellow with the name of Xoser Grand? Best known for his being a famous slave trader in this sector?"
A darkness passed over Casey's face. Any lesser man would've shuddered at the expression but Rick didn't flinch.

"And you were aware he was a part of this ring that you single-handedly disbanded tonight? And you also accept and admit you slayed those twelve remaining members yourself?"
"Yes."
Rick pursed his lips as he scribbled on his clipboard. He set it down on his lap then looked at Casey once more. Something in his posture dropped and he seemed to speak candidly.
"... You did a good thing, Cassius," Rick's eyes were darker than a vast ocean. "I know men like you. Tormented. Haunted. Stone cold killers. Hard to feel like a hero. But you did a very very good thing."
Before the hunter could reply, Rick slapped his knees and stood, tucking his mysterious paperwork under his arm. He almost reached to shake Casey's hand but pulled back, nodding firmly.
"If you need help acquiring a new arm--"
"I have a guy," Casey declined politely. "But thank you."
"Good. Very good. Well, you'll be home in a few so take it easy. We've already contacted Mr.Garou-Daphne so he'll be awaiting when we arrive. Rest well."
With that, Rick departed, leaving Casey to stew in his own thoughts.

Casey snapped, like he feared he would.
It took a stab in the chest, far too near his heart. He was down halfway in heads collected. The remaining six were tough. He'd been stabbed, shot, slashed, the whole shebang. Blood was everywhere, mostly red, some blue, some green.
Casey's consciousness was dragged under. He went completely numb, thoughtless, moving on pure instinct. He would be shot and stabbed but he would feel nothing, dissociating through senseless murder. It was a survival response. His mind would block out all thoughts and feelings to push him to survive.
It worked well. He was the last one standing, soaked in his own blood. Once the count was final, all twelve bodies accounted for, his mind brought his consciousness forward and he passed out from blood-loss. No matter.
The work was done and he would probably live for now.

3 yards + taken up by the partition down the middle which parts the whole floor into two similar book-galleries, a ballustred gallery running all round at about 13ft. high from the floor – the man says there are 120,000 vols. – floor diamond flags size of those formerly in the hall at Shibden, of red and greenish porphyry (like the window seats) – 2 rooms at each end of the book rooms and between these 2 rooms (at each end of the building) a spiral staircase to the top of the building, and leading also to an immense salle (over the library, i.e. au 2nde)  round above? with portico behind the pillars underneath the gallery? to be galleried all alcove (is a sort of throne there or what to be?) at left end as one looks on the town this immense salle entered also in the middle by the great staircase as below – 2 flights of steps taking up a breadth of about 13 yards and a depth of about 16 yards in a projection towards the castle the opposite front looking exactly along a long straight road to Dannemora and old Upsala [Uppsala] and on to the town, and a little to the left on the cathedral as now renewed since its being burnt in 1702 –

everything here counted by how much land will keep a man or horseman – the academy has as much (as the man said yesterday) as would keep a hundred men – and a terre to keep a man costs 4,000 to 5,000 dollars banco to buy it – In buying land one ought to have 6 to 8 p.c. for ones’ money –

In the sacristie or room where they keep the 2 gold crowns lately taken respectively from the heads of Jean iii and his queen Catherine and some valuable gold cups etc.   is the half length old wooden statue of the pagan god Thor – part of his left side gone and his right arm broken off from the elbow – gilded formerly – brought from old Upsala [Uppsala] – many more old things all burnt with the cathedral in 1702 – this room is a sort of safe closet – safe from fire – 3 boxes of valuables put here as we should send plate to the bank for safety –

cull, hill, collis.
3 conical mounds very conspicuous all the way from Upsala [Uppsala] – fine view from all especially from Frea because farthest from the church – quite close to Odin and impedes the view from him – Good country about here – more quite clear ground (clear of stones, boulder and rock) than we have seen elsewhere - .:. land valuable here – but no forest of two miles .:. wood dear – large extensive plain on all sides – merely a few bits (on the Eastern side) that one can just see encumbered with stone to remind one of being still in Sweden – the church small – not worth going into but expected (disappointed) some to see there some funeral urns found in 1 of the tumuli – fine view of Upsala [Uppsala] – its castle looks well from here – its 2 (there are only 2) round towers (North and North east corners) seen, and cone of the ugly pediment side seen – the 2 cathedral-towers are seen as one – and the peasants’ church tower and one other church tower are seen in one line – Beyond Freas’ tumulus a little range of hill and the foot of this and of the tumulus itself towards the village and Upsala [Uppsala] studded with little hillocks – on the other side the tumulus and range of hill is a little lake – A- is sketching the church – she did the castle nicely yhis morning – Old Upsala [Uppsala] pretty little picturesque gardeny village – a peep at the little River – a minute or 2 in the old church – nothing worth seeing in it – back at the house to drink our bottle of mead at 6 5/.. excellent – good as champagne – how to make it is a secret – heirloom secret – 24 Rigs sk. per bottle – a pink mead at 48sk. but she has none at present     off again at 6 25/.. –
