The Mandalorian season 2 ep 1 AGAIN! it’s the rewatch folks

- The entire last season reminder/intro scene is kind of clunky and we’re-hitting-you-over-the-head-with-this, but I think it’s important to note that it’s probably meant for the vast majority of people who watched this stuff once a wholeass year ago, and not for me, the crazy person who watched each episode at least five times lol

I like the way mando & bb walk from darkness into brief light and back into darkness here... the directors keep finding such cool ways of using the armour cinematically, there must be some lighting considerations to be made when your main character is essentially a walking disco ball. I enjoy the mood of this planet too -- the distant lights, the way the sky isn’t quite dark like there’s a city providing some light pollution nearby (it’s a bit clearer as he walks further into the... town? that it’s not just sunset, the sky is lit up weirdly)

also when din moves towards the camera and out of sight in this first appearance, the signet is the very last thing that leaves the frame! I just thought that was sweet, a clan of two :’)

- shotout to these two lads and their boldly absolutely inexplicable hat choices (I love gratuitous star wars crowd scenes you guys)

those tacky gold sequins on her sleeves... immaculate, beautiful, someone sat through like full body makeup application to be on screen a literal split second, that good good sw nonsense

- oh I didn’t notice before but I think those gladiator dudes are using vibroaxes! I guess they have the technology to portray it in live action now after the vibroblades in the first season

- the way bb glances up at din like ‘hey dad. dad what the fuck???’ as one gomorrean nearly chops the arm off the other fjaslfds

- when you look for it it’s comically obvious that those guys are working for the dude mando’s meeting, they’ve all got more or less the same dark uniform and don’t look much at the fight haha. they might as well have ‘hired thugs’ stamped upon their foreheads

- I like how pared down and spare the music is in this fight scene, it’s just the faint whine of the electric guitars under the thuds of meat hitting metal

also still love how din fights, the fact that he doesn’t even try to not get hit a lot of the time, he’s just tanking through it waiting for someone to fling themselves at him in a way he can exploit to take them out

the bouncer seems to be holding something like sci-fi handcuffs when he grabs din and lifts him off his feet, so he probably meant to restrain him quickly. bonus: I didn’t notice it the first time around, but din really went straaaaaiiight for this dude’s gentleman area once he dropped him back on his feet lol (you can even see him taking a split second to orient himself and take aim first fhsdkfhas). good job space cowboy dad, sometimes fighting smart means fighting dirty

- leaving this awful dude hanging upside down to get eaten after employing some very deliberate phrasing so he’s not even breaking his word is the ruthless HEIGHT of mando’s hilarious petty streak and it makes me cackle, gives me life, waters my crops

- oh, the palpable loneliness and longing in din’s voice when he says ‘if I can track down another of my kind’ ;_______; I’m sorry buddy

- may we speak for a moment about the fact that din carries his son around in what seems very much to be a saddle bag sdafjkhsa

- the way din checks in with peli (to see if she’s fucking with him? he’s very confused anyway haha) over the map before saying “I don’t see anything” is so precious. he already seems much more socially tuned in and responsive compared to the beginning of season 1, you love to see it, coming out of that freeze response baBEY

- I can’t get over how much the baby loves speed, this is coming back to bite you so hard if you’re ever going to have to teach this kid how to drive one day mando

- awwww the little patented mando finger curl as he enters the bar <3<3<3 that’s sort of his tell for being preoccupied/anxious; I think finding other mandos, someone to trust and to get help from, means A Lot to him

once he sees the marshall in the armour his shoulders drop down and he stands up straighter :’) hope is a powerful thing (I guess all of this might add even more to how angry he is too)

the DEAD STOP when cobb takes the helmet off sdkfhkajsldhfsdk

- yodito putting his lil mouth on the lip of this jar thing is such a well observed little quirk of baby behaviour, I’m crying

(there is liquid of some sort in this thing; I’ve seen some people theorize it’s a spittoon but for my own peace of mind I’m going to forcefully declare that it is not thank you)

- so much stuff packed into that “He’s seen worse”!! dismissal, self-deprecation, sorrow, resignation, warning.

- the contrast in this standoff of vanth’s eastwood eye twitch and the complete deadpan impassiveness of din’s helmet and general demeanor... wonderful

- upon rewatching I’m actually wondering if some of these scenes with the baby on his own were filmed independently of the actors and that it might add to that slight distracting feeling of disconnect/distance you get through the episode. (it’s sort of odd to me that mando doesn’t even glance down at him as the whole place starts to shake, for example) there must be a lot of stuff that comes down to technical considerations with the baby; I suspect it takes a lot of time and resources to have him walking around too much, which is why The Waddle is kind of a rare treat

what I’m saying is that they may be saving up dad & baby interaction resources for episodes where it’s more relevant or important

- so is this a one bantha town or is it just for convenient film language reasons it was all alone in frame like that lol

also cobb’s ‘mondays amirite’ look fdsakjfhsjk

- since I think it every time I get to this part: this is a very neat hairstyle this person is rocking, suits them!

- ah the stern pointer finger of emphasis. din TALKS, no, COMMUNICATES so much in this episode you guys!!!!!

- rip this tusken, the bravest person who ever lived

- the delivery of “...they might be open to some fresh ideas” is the funniest moment of this entire episode don’t @ me

- oh the kotor-ness of it all lol

- jill (the girl who hands cobb the detonator) is so cute with her hat and everything ;____;

- I suppose these tuskens are really the bravest people to ever live considering they saw what happened to the last guy (or gal I suppose I don’t know how sand people gender works)

- baby needs some goggles to protect his giant eyes from wind and sand Y___Y

- they’ve nailed how to make the jetpacks work in live action, it looks really cool and I suspect it easily could have uh. not

- this poor sacrificial bantha... it even tried to get away

- ooooh the heart eyes -- cobb 100% has a crush on this man jfsdflhsad. (with it being sort of unrequited/’oh man I’m behind about 150 layers of dissociation too many to even really consider that one way or the other bud’ from mando’s side #personal headcanon disclaimer)

- my take on why din doesn’t get dissolved in acid in there is that that stuff is released from a specific gland or something that the dragon can unleash at will and that the spit itself doesn’t have that quality on its own (or at least it’s a lot less potent)

- seems pretty well confirmed by now that yodito is a carnivore huh hahaha

- I find it obscurely satisfying that cobb seems to be wearing exactly his old outfit under the armour -- he did just strap it on on top of what he already was. (there’s something there -- he’s a whole thing still without the armour, and at this time at least din would not be I don’t think) just some good narrative foil stuff going on here under the surface

also once again props to the costume design; without the armour he looks so vulnerable again, they have dressed him to emphasise his height and slenderness (especially compared to mando, who actually seems to have bulked up a bit? fatherhood suits him I guess)

plus, the way the baby looks questioningly up at din while he watches cobb walk away? yeah, din is lonely, let this poor man have a friend who stays around soon T______________T

- heeey boba, nice threads! my guess is that he’s not going to be there for the armour if he does track din down, since he hasn’t seemed to be in any haste to get it back before (which is interesting!). he might also have been unable to go looking for it before because he was still recovering from being half digested, of course, they could play it a lot of different ways

I wonder if we’ll get more of him in the next ep or if they’ll let the tension ramp up through the season

(I haven’t posted a weigh in in like weeks so take that and a life update as well. Also Mother Mother has become my spirit animal and I like this song of theirs.)

•So I finally broke my week plateau, but because of said plateau I was unable to reach 117 lbs by the first of November. Nonetheless, I haven’t been this low of a weight since my freshman year of high school and I’m now a senior so, Kudos to me I guess.

•Anywho, 3 years ago today (November 13, 2017) I tried to commit suicide for the first (and so far only) time at 14. Ugh, not something I want to be reminded of, since there’s one more thing I failed. (Haha)

•I was feeling pretty guilty the other day so I purged in the laundry mat. Fuck it amirite? Tbh that probably helped me lose this weight. I miss being bulimic. When my parents found out about my purging I had to switch to restricting instead haha; do you ever just switch eating disorders? Fuck-

•I got accepted into the college I wanted so there’s that.

•I also tend to be growing in popularity on here as of late. I don’t know why y’all like fat trash but welcome, I’ll be following everyone back cause my feed is dead lol.

•Anyway, on a finally note, my parents found out where my ex works. ( I guess he works at this gas station up the street so it’s not like my parents were stalking him to find him.) I was under the impression he went to Florida to stay with his family and possibly get a job down there but I guess not haha. Knowing where he works has triggered me into restricting sooooo fucking much. A bitch wanna be skinneh so she can strut up in the Gas station and flaunt her bones ✨

•I have also started writing an ED book on Wattpad so if anyone’s interested I can drop that in my next update since this is getting long-

•I won’t be posting till Monday probably since I normally weigh every other day and it’s the weekend so I cant really weigh with my parents home.

Hi, hello!!

Not that anyone noticed (but if you did, thanks, you're the MVP), I've been M.I.A for the past 2/3 months (maybe more...).

But here's why. Since the second week of January and to be very particular, since the 9th of January, my life went tits up.

Let's dive in, shall we?

Once again, if mentions of depression, anxiety, grief and death could trigger you, you still have time to exit.

Now that the warnings are out the way, here's what's up.

By the end of December, I decided that it was time for me to live my life again. What I mean by that is, for the past few years, it felt like I was just cruising through life, not really living it. My mother was extremely sick and I had to take care of her. Honestly, I'm glad I did, but that shit was time consuming and it burnt through my energy and will to live like nobody else's business.

Anyway, I decided to go to therapy to deal with whatever bullshit and better myself. 2020 was going to be MY year. Besides therapy, I started to be financially responsible. And I feel like every time someone starts to do something good for themselves, life is just like "haha, bitch you though".

So, January 2020 rolls in. I'm hyped as FUCK! I'm listening to Ciara "Level up", determined to live my best life. The first week was fine. Dare I say, it was fabulous.

I reconnected with an old flame and things were looking up in the romance department. I was learning what boundaries were and trying to implement that in my life. Work was okay. I mean, like I said, I was a 1000% sure 2020 was my year.

By the second week of January, shit hit the fan! Just thinking about it, I'm anxious laughing and I wanna yeet myself out the window, but let's power through it anyways.

Monday 6th, I got a call while I was at work (I think it was my father but not sure). My mother was going to be moved to ICU because one of her lungs collapsed. Quick background story. My mother has battle cancer for 26 years, but last year, it invaded her lungs and brain. She got treatment and we were a little hopeful. But like I said, Life has a bitter sense of humor.

So, I got a call. By the time I got home, the ambulance was there and my mother was being taken away.

When I got to the clinic, a lot of people were already there. After a lot of scans and whatever, I talked to the doctor and guess what he said. Well, if you guessed "there is nothing much we can do", you guessed right. So, yes, the doctor basically told me my mother was dying and they were keeping here just to help her alleviate the pain.

I don't really remember the times I visited her, except for two visits.

Once, she gathered me and my two older brothers to make sure we weren't fighting anymore. (I had some issues with my middle brother).

The second time, she begged me to take her home, but I couldn't do much, so I'll let you guess how I felt after that.

So three days later, she came back home. I didn't recognize my mother anymore. She was so thin and weak. She couldn't even speak or eat. This lasted almost 10 days... And then, she passed.

Once again, I was at work when my aunt called me crying, telling me my mother wasn't feeling alright. Right away I knew what was going on. One of my coworkers drove me home.

By the time I got there, she was already dead. No matter how prepared you think you are for these moments, it's never enough, trust me. It was as if someone slapped me.

When I came into the room, my mother was gone. Her hands were cold and she wasn't breathing anymore. The light of my life was no longer.

She was buried the next day.

Since then, I'm trying to find a new meaning to my life, but it felt (still feels sometimes) very empty.

I won't say it was a dark time, but it was. Depression hit me like a ton of bricks and let's not talk about anxiety. I avoided my phone because I was scared of it. Everytime it rang, I felt like I was about to throw up.

Allegedly, depression can mess up your immune system. I think it's true. I haven't been truly sick in the past 5 years, but the week following my mother's passing, I got a lung infection (v funny) and 3 weeks later, I had a really bad case of the flu. So bad, my father was about to force me to get tested just in case Auntie Rona decided to pay me a visit.

In the meantime, I managed to start a relationship (if we can call what I was in a relationship... lol). At first, it was good, so good, but then, it quickly hit the wall. The relationship just slowly faded. A lot of other things happened, but I'm going to keep that to myself for now....

and thats scheduling all of the student council meetings, planning fundraisers, school dances, all the Great Stuff

it was kind of awkward at first because you admired him from afar,, so like a crush,,, and you didnt really know how to act around him

and you were used to the old school pres ,,, it was weird to just have a shift and a big change so quickly

but it was okay cause donghyuck had a great work ethic

before you two became the secretary and president, donghyuck had a lowkey crush on you too

i think thats why he has been just a bit awkward with you at first as well but both of u are oblivious

but then he got used to having you around and used to having 1 on 1 meetings with just the two of you guys

he saw it as an opportunity to get to know you but you??? you didn’t really talk much about your personal life

all he knew was that you hung out with that one sophmore and one junior, jisung and chenle

oh and one person from your grade, jaemin

donghyuck never really bothered with you after your first encounter LOL

like !! youre nice and all but you just talk to him for work purposes! but thats okay! cause its better than not talking at all no?

so you guys have one of those 1 on 1 meetings at the library about an upcoming fundraiser to fund prom (cause its a new year and u need to think quicc abt ideas so people can vote on the theme)

you guys talk for hours on end about preparations and what you guys want to sell

you guys decide on doing a bake sale because who doesnt like baked goods !!

so you and donghyuck set out a date to bake EVERYTHING

and after the meeting hes just like, ‘its lunch now, do you wanna go somewhere with me to eat?’ and he smiles so sweetly

this is the first time youre really looking at him too

he looks,,,, really good

and his smile? the sun cant compete n e x t

and youre like wow this boy handsome

but you agree on getting lunch with him because youre pretty hungry and idkmaybeyoucouldgettoknowthisfineman

SO you guys walk to a nearby food joint and on the way you guys are just chatting away and youre finally opening up to him

and then you get into the topic of how you guys came to be the secretary and president

so you guys get to the food place and you guys just joke around th e majority of the time

it feels like you guys have been actual friends since forever

when you guys go back to the library u guys forget about what u 2 were supposed to b doing

and then you open up your notebook and then-- oh yeah Prom Preparations and Fundraising

so then you and hyuck plan ahead that every other sunday you guys are going to mass bake a lot of sweets so you can try and sell them all on monday

and everyone has tasted your baking before,,, so they usually sell a l o t

so the following sunday, you meet hyuck at his friends cafe,,, cause it has a big kitchen

and then you guys get cracking cause you have a l o t to do

half of the time you guys are throwing ingredients at each other but you guys Get Shit Done

you get to know hyuck more and you now understand why a lot of people have a crush on him

hes the sun!!! hes charismatic!! hes funny!!! hes got everything omg

his only flaw? he can’t frost a cupcake to save his life

youre just laughing at all his attempts but anywho

its the next day! so the first monday to sell sweets

you and hyuck made a schedule of who would be selling the cupcakes during what lunch period

you assigned jeno, jaemin, and mark for 1st lunch, then you, hyuck, and chenle, for the second lunch, and then for anyone who wanted to buy after school would buy from renjun and jisung

interesting that u guys would be selling together and have poor chonlu third wheeling

the whole bake sale was a success,,, you sold every cupcake and chenle was honestly just gagging the whole time when he was with you guys cause you two sat really close to each other and being r e a l l y friendly

chenle swore he could see u guys heart eyeing each other but whatever

so over the course of id say a few months??? you and hyuck are literally everywhere together

you hear a click,,, you couldnt comprehend what the heck renjun said but now you did and youre both just frozen

so you just clear your throat and then you say, ‘i mean we might as well get some work done’ and you sit down

and hyuck just deflates a bit cause?? do u not like him??

and then he goes, ‘haha right.’

and you could hear the shift in his voice cause hes a bit upset

and then you stop what youre doing and go,

‘listen hyuck, i like you more than a friend,, but i thought it was obvious? we were pretty much acting like a couple already so i didnt realy understand why i have to spell it out for you? i mean i understand if you dont like me like--’

and he kisses you

right on the lips

and so you guys just walk out of the room hand in hand

okay but your 1 on 1 meetings?? not a lot gets done

and you just chuckle and hold his hand

and hyuck freezes

he squeezes your hand and then he says, ‘im in love with you, too.’ and you guys just break out into big smiles

im youngmin as a prince

this is my first time doing this bear with me please-- it’s also hellaaa long so i put it under the cut to save those who dont want to scroll past the whole thing lol

is highly highly highly respected and loved by everyone in his kingdom

hes so sweet to all his people like he’ll go out of his way to check on them and make sure they’re all doing well bc he loves his kingdom so much

even sent christmas cards and extra food to all the households in the town during the holidays like WHAT A SWEETHEART

anyways

he loves his kingdom so deeply you can imagine how on edge he becomes when his dad is suddenly ill and about to pass

bc now it’s time for youngmin to step in as king and like?? he’s nOT READY

but he can’t let his kingdom NOT have a king like his people need a leader-- and his mother bless her but she doesn’t really have leadership skills rip so youngmin is their only hope

BUT he’s not married.. he can barely talk to girls lmao but it’s against royal law (?) to become a king without a queen so

that’s where you come in

your family is more into the whole “TAKE ALL THE POWER” part of royalty so they really really want to take some control of as many kingdoms as possible

but brand new kingdom (SHOOT ME) (that’s youngmin’s kingdom btw) is way too big and powerful to overtake so what better way to gain some power than to give away their daughter aka you amirite

word gets around pretty fast that youngmin is looking for a wife so they ship you off HELLA QUICK LIKE YOU’RE OFF ON A HORSE BEFORE U CAN BLINK THEY’RE WAVING AND SHIT LIKE “GO GET U THAT MAN BRING US BACK A RICH POWERFUL HEIR”

ur mad the whole way there like tf what if you don’t like youngmin he could be an asshole

needless to say that when you get there he is in fact an asshole lol

there are a bunch of girls there tryna marry him i dont blame them like bitch sign me up and he just lines them up and is scanning them up and down

and ur like??? until he stops and says “mary’s dad has four children, three of them are named monday, tuesday, and wednesday; what’s the fourth child’s name?”

and now ur like ??????? wtf is he doing

until some girl on the opposite end of u yells all confidently with a really loud voice “thursday!!” and you just

you try to keep ur mouth shut and be nice but you just

“dumbass the fourth child is mary”

you realize that you swore and it was hella disrespectful so you open your mouth to apologize until

“find her a dress. i’m marrying that one.” youngmin points straight to you and says before walking out and you’re like wHAT

within a few days all your stuff is unpacked (into your own room bc youngmin wont let you near his) and you’ve had a wedding and get settled in as the new queen of brand new kingdom

all the while youngmin hasn’t said word to you? the only thing that you’ve heard leave his mouth since you were chosen was “i do” and das it

a few weeks pass and still, nothing from youngmin. the most he gives you is glares as you pass each other and requests for you to sign documents regarding the kingdom and stuff

but in the meantime you have gotten to know his mother who LOVES you and catches you up on the kingdom, how things work, what the people are like, and she even gave you a tour of the town once so you could meet everyone

you want to ask her some things about youngmin but figure it’s not your place.. so you go to the people instead LMAO

you visit a few families and shops and they all say the same thing: that youngmin is extremely sweet and warmhearted and that they’re all so blessed to have him as their king

you’re just like?? we’re talking abt the same youngmin right lol

one day you visit this little old lady’s florist shop in the corner of town and speak with her a little bit

she tells you that since spring season just started, you should prob look out a bit for youngmin bc his allergies start acting up then hands you a bouquet of periwinkle flowers and says

“these are his favorite and they don’t make him sick, can you give them to him for me and tell him to take care of himself? he must be awfully tired”

you creek the door open just a bit to see him tugging at his hair as he looks over paperwork, obviously stressed over something

you clear your throat and knock on the door, causing youngmin to look up at you but he seems to just get more upset lol

“can i help you?” he has this really cold tone and ur like shit who put ur panties in a twist

“i visited mrs.kim this afternoon-”

“at the florist shop?”

“uh yeah, her, and she asked me to give these to you” you pull the flowers from behind the door and youngmin’s mood went 0 to 100 REAL QUICK

it’s like all the angry washed away from his face and his eyes just light up and he’s all smiley HE’S SO PRECIOUS

“periwinkles! those are my favorite- i can’t believe she remembered!” he happily stands and takes the flowers from you as you step into the middle of the room

“she asked me to tell you that you should take care of yourself” youre trying not to look him in the eye cause even tho he was being cute af you know he can be scary

youngmin’s smile starts to frown and now he’s pouting WHAT A CUTE BABY and he’s like “i haven’t visited her at all since i’ve become king. i haven’t visited ANY of my people”

he grabs one of the chairs closest to him and sits down, putting his head in his hands after setting the flowers on the table

youre kind of just standing there not knowing what to do until you hear sniffs and soft gasps and youre like omfg he’s crying

so you just awkwardly pat him on the back.. and say “do you.. wanna talk about it..”

turns out youngmin did wanna talk about it lmao he tells you how scared he is, says that he doesn’t want to fail his people and feels so stressed about everything

you tell him everything that he needed to hear: that all his people loved him and even if it meant that he couldn’t see them as often as he’d like he’s doing what’s best for everyone and according to the people you’ve talked to, he’s being a pretty amazing king

you end up being his listening ear after that-- he trusts in you more and talks to you when making decisions and at first you’re like? you really trust me with this

and he LAUGHS wow that was the first time you heard his laugh it was magical and he was like “i chose you because you weren’t stupid, remember?”

and you’re like OHHHH NOW IT MAKES SENSE

time passes and you and youngmin become closer.. it turns out that youngmin was being an asshole to you bc he truly believed that you should be in love before getting married, and felt that he was being cheated out of that bc of the whole situation

he was also kind of uncomfortable with u being apart of things because he didn’t know you that well so he didnt know if he trusted you BUT now you two are close and he needs you for every decision!!

one day after a long day of work and going over papers, you just so happen to fall asleep in youngmin’s office on the couch

and youngmin was trying to be considerate and everything right bc your bedroom was pretty far (it was really just a few halls down) but his was right there so why not

just take you to his room and cuddle you all night KJLFJKDFJKFD

needless to say you were surprised when you woke up in youngmin’s arms the next morning

happily surprised ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

after that you started “accidentally” falling asleep in his office more often

and youngmin would always “be considerate” and let you sleep in his bed

it came to a point where your maids got so sick of it that they packed up all ur shit for you and moved it into his room without you two knowing

at first yall were like “what?1!??1! no we totally aren’t living together!1!!1″

yall never tried to move your stuff out

it didn’t take long after that for youngmin to confess to you or for you to happily accept

sometime during your relationship you and youngmin get to spend a rare sunday afternoon in bed cuddling and just listening to each other’s heartbeats

until youngmin says “babe.. let’s get married”

and you snort and hold up your hand with your wedding ring

“youngmin, we ARE married”

your husband sits up and shakes his head, pulling you into his chest and leaning his head on yours

“i mean a real wedding where we can actually express how much we love each other without all the pressure and stuff for press. i just want to show everyone how much i truly love you”

GOODBYE I’M DYING HE’S THE CUTEST

before you know it there are wedding bells and you’re walking down the aisle wearing a dress you chose yourself this time and there’s your husband actually smiling at you with as much love as he can muster

the wedding goes amazing, your loved ones are all there to congratulate you two on being truly in love as well as the town to celebrate the greatest king and queen duo brand new kingdom has ever had

and there are lots, and lots, of periwinkles

Seatmate!Joshua

A/N: I AM BACK!! OH MY GOD??? How have you guys been?? How was your holiday?? Mine’s ending next week as school starts on Monday ^^ I’ll post requests in this following week so be sure to check them out! I’m sorry for this to tale so long but here is the requested Seatmate!Jisoo!

(Also whenever I think about the Chocolate MV, I get reminded of that “Joystick” line Joshua sung lmaooo)

Ok everybody saw this coming

Joshua is the Good Kid™

The one the teachers love because he’s so respectful and always submits his homework and assignments on time *

He’s that kid who says s*** like “I didn’t study for the exam” and “I think I’m not going to pass” but passes with a f***ing A++ anyways

Everybody knows him as a friendly face who always smiles and say hi to people in the hallways

Does a lot of volunteering

Can be seen with his guitar doing YouTube covers during recess

Very kind and would drop everything to help someone

Like that time when he was super late to school because he was helping a pregnant lady get to the hospital??

The teacher was like “lmao get in, Joshua, everything ’swell”

Which also means he gets away with things without even trying bc everybody knows Joshua’s a good kid

He knows it too but he never use it to his advantage someone protect this angel

He’s got quite some fans at school ok

The funny part is when you got Joshua as your seatmate

Maybe it’s just the Universe’s idea of a joke

Because quite the contrary, you’re every definition of a rebel

You sleep a lot in class

Gets into the occasional fights but nothing too serious

You’re a familiar face in detention (for various reasons)

And while you do submit your homework/assignments, they’re almost always late

Despite all that, you pass your classes with good marks, much to the teachers astonishment and irk

And while you don’t cause that much trouble, you do intimidate people

Which led you to having few to no friends

And it awes people when they see the contrast between you and Joshua

Bc the Church Kid and the Rebel? so cliche

But you never really talked to him anyways

Bc you’re just so different and basically the opposite of each other that you never found a common ground

It’s like mixing oil and water and you both fill the same space without truly mingling

You never minded it except it’s always a pain whenever people compare you to each other

“Why can’t you be more like Joshua?”

“How can Joshua sit next to someone like her”

You have nothing against the guy but it’s just a pain that you’re stuck with the guy everybody puts on a high pedestal

So you work at the local ice cream joint that your parents own

Not a lot of people know of it and it’s pretty low-key

Which also means not a lot of people from school knows of it

And while you despise going to school, you absolutely enjoy working there

Because there in the ice cream shop, nobody sees you as the Y/N that gets into fights or the Y/N the troublemaker

Here, you’re the Y/N that gives out ice cream to little kids and when they smile at you you beam back

Here, you help elders pull out their seats so they can enjoy a chocolate sundae as they talk to their spouses

Here, you’re just Y/N

No prejudice, no ugly sneers, just Y/N who serves ice cream

One day Joshua was walking around town when he spot your ice cream shop

So he decided to treat himself to some

And imagine his surprise when he found you giggling to a five-year old as you hand her her ice cream come

Your eyes meet and you went OH NO

Bc what is he doing here? You don’t need to be constantly reminded of the perfect Joshua Hong lol

Your smile was replaced with a frown and it’s a shame bc Joshua thought you look so sweet smiling

“Not a word, Hong.”

He pretended as if he didn’t see that last scene but he can’t help but hide a small smile bc he just realized you’re kinda cute

He didn’t say anything and ordered

He was paying and without looking up to see your face, said “You should smile more. It looks good on you”

And then he walked off with his strawberry ice cream like a f***ing boss

You never expected that from someone like Joshua so you can’t help but get flustered

Really flustered

Bc did he just flirt with you????? Holy crud

The next day you couldn't even spare a glance at the guy

Joshua acted as if nothing happened, like you guys didn’t totally meet at the ice cream shop but they way he looks at you?? He looks like he’s teasing you

‘The scary giant is actually’ soft his eyes seemed to say

To your dismay, since that day, Joshua’s face frequent the shop more than you would like

Ofc your parents were overjoyed bc they got a loyal customer but dang it’s really distracting to have him hover around

You couldn’t help but start to notice him

He usually would sit by the windows, sometimes reading a book or working on his laptop

You can’t help but memorize his usual order one scoop of strawberry ice cream with rainbow sprinkles in a cup

And little by little you couldn't help but warm up to him

And you’re like ‘Oh no do I have a crush???? on Joshua Hong????’

It gets better

There was one time Joshua notice you struggling during a test and he couldn't help but feel a little bad

So he wrote the answer on a little slip of paper and discreetly passed it to you

You looked at him incredulously and was like why but by then he had his back to you

He totally did it bc he likes you

And hey it’s not like you’re a punk without a sense of gratitude

So after school, you treat him to free ice cream

You were in the middle of eating your ice cream when he drew closer and

“Oh, you got ice cream on your mouth.”

AND THEN HE FREAKING WIPED THE ICE CREAM OFF THE CORNER OF YOUR MOUTH WITH HIS FINGER ADDWEFLWLJF

(thank god he didn't lick it amirite) holy shi* Nat keep it PG

You made eye contact and dear God if Joshua isn’t more beautiful up close

You noticed the moles that sprinkled his face but didn’t quite catch them as Joshua pulled back

The worst part of it was he had the audacity to smile innocently at you, acting as if everything is completely normal the freaking snitch

Y’all know his church oppa feel is just a facade he’s worse than Jeonghan tbh

And again he just looked away casually, which again made you feel flustered bc WHAT THE H***

It’s just that Joshua enjoys ruffling your feathers, getting to know the you that you don’t show to other people

He especially enjoys surprising you and taking you by surprise bc he could tell you never expect and aren’t used to others to be so vulgar towards you

The first day he saw you smile and he found himself wanting to see more of them

And fine, he’ll admit to himself that he might have a crush on you fffff

You started to notice how Joshua was warmer and kinder to you than before

I mean, he wasn’t rude before but you don’t have the best relationship either

But holy crud if the guy isn’t setting you up for a heart attack one of these days

Although his antics does intrigue you bc??? you’ve never had anybody treat you like that?? you’re just not used having your heart ready to beat right out of your chest

One day at school, you saw a senior bullying a freshman and although you may be a rebel, you are definitely not a bully

So you called out on the guy and told him to stop

He went up to you and started to get aggressive and called you names

You held your ground and when he saw you didn’t flinch, he slapped you

The next thing you know, the guy was off you and was on the ground with a bloody nose

The hallway went dead quite as your gaze falls on Joshua

Joshua whose breathing hard with his hand formed into a fist

To say you were shocked was an understatement because nobody would have thought Joshua would go that far

Did Joshua just punched a kid??? Really???

Is the world ending?????

So now you’re both stuck in detention together

And you're laughing inside bc Joshua looked like a sore thumb in the room full of troublemakers

“Are you ok?” he finally asked you

“Why did you punch that guy??”

“Look. Just because people think you’re a troublemaker doesn’t make them right.”

You raised an eyebrow at that

“Ok fine, not entirely true lol”

"Why are you so nice to me?"

Joshua was silent and then you felt his warm hand wrapped around yours under the table

“Because you’re more than that. They don’t know but I know. And you should, too. Because you’re more than what the label you as. Yeah, you might've made your fair share of mistakes but..I know deep inside, you're a good person. Don’t listen to them. Listen to me. I’m here for you.”

And he said it with so much conviction, so much sincerity that you looked at him, and I mean, finally looked at him and you realized

You think you might be falling hard for him.

You realized his warm hand is still clasped around yours, his thumb moving comforting patterns onto your skin and you felt the heat in your cheeks bc Joshua is holding my hand asdfhlkl

You looked at him and see his ears turning red and it’s so endearing

And then you smiled and Joshua felt like he’s going to bursts anytime now because he’s the reason behind that smile

And you didn’t do anything but hold hands under the table with Joshua throughout your time in detention

But you you don’t mind bc to you, this is enough

And this might be the first time you say this but detention isn’t so bad with him around

Because you know he’ll always be right there for you

A/N: I’m sorry if this was a flop compared to the other one.. Joshua ended up a bit OOC towards the end imo.. I tried to brainstorm but not much came up :( I might rewrite this if I have better ideas one day, though, so Anon, I’m sorry if I might've dissapointed you!
