Persona romance routes are all pretty bad but damn they really hit rock bottom with p3p femc route like the misogyny is very blatant and it’s almost hilarious like look at the Shinjiro romance. When you do his social link he’s like very clearly respectful of Kotone as a leader and explicitly says stuff like "oh yeah you’re clearly the best fighter we have, I don’t really know much about fighting like you do, I hope I’m not dragging you down, you’re doing a good job as leader just remember to take care of yourself, everyone looks up to you I know you can rely on them" etc. like he has faith in her leading abilities. But then when you romance him he’s like got dialogue like "bwah bluh i gotta look after you because you’re a GIRL and you need to stick by me, a big strong MAN so you don’t get hurt" and "don’t wear that revealing outfit in front of other guys 👺" and it’s like. Does he respect her or not and also like it doesn’t make sense for him to look down on her for being a girl cuz he literally has never not been led by a girl leader during his time in sees and Mitsuru in particular really has her shit together when it comes to being responsible and a good fighter and she’s always known the most about Tartarus

It’s also like. Idk maybe its just me I’m not a girl so FUCK IF I KNOW but to me the appeal of romancing Shinji is the fact that he’s sweet and sensitive and gentle and has respect for you despite the fact that he acts all scary. That’s like, what made me like this character in the first place. But the writers seem to think what women want is for a BIG STRONG MAN to protect them because they are just DELICATE WOMEN who are inferior in every way it’s like. Shut upppp thanks

Hello, hello! Yes, newfound Sebek enthusiasts are very much appreciated on this blog!

As for advice... hmm, for me if I like a character a lot, I might only take 1 aspect off them and think about it way too much so if you'd like my advice, I'd say read his vignettes. It gives him more personality/tidbits than just 'malleus' loud knight' that you can incorporate into your own imaginings.

...that said, this is just something fun, so do whatever you like. Personally, I go straight into fanfiction as people go ballistic on him. Like, Sebek lovers are loyal to the man, and I think he appreciates that. We aren't great in numbers, but we are great in loyalty.

Now this is an evil ask XDDD and I think you know my answer already... I gotta choose mah boi Sam... my whole 2023 has just been my descent into Sam obsession...

But yeah you know I like both of them a lot. Dean seriously never fails to make me laugh, like even when he is doing something "evil" I am always laughing my butt off... and the fact that he is this unhinged dude who cares about his little family a lot and likes cooking is adorable... and Sam to me is the human heart of the show... despite having such a twisted job he tries to follow what he thinks is right, and he's very earnest and endearing... even in season 1 when Sam is 'angrier' and careless due to his grief, I thought his conflict with his family despite loving them was very relatable- basically he tries to show his family why the anger he built up over the years is justified but they don't really get it so conflicts never get resolved throughout the show- like that is so relatable lol- and I also like the fact he is usually a softy guy makes his unhinged moments very fun and memorable...

i could be misremembering this so forgive me if i am but i feel like i vaguely remember a period of time where mark was desperately trying to stop people from viewing dark as a sad boy romantic figure and see him for the manipulator he is or whatever and the thing is, respectfully, if that really was the plan, he went about it in the absolute dumbest way possible that only made it easier for people to sand down his more manipulative edges and view him as a misunderstood hero. what he really should've done was have dark do something so genuinely vile and universally heinous that only the most strong stomached, "i love fucked up bastards who do horrible shit" crowds would be able to still love him but he didn't and now look where we are
