whenever i've imagined the upcoming bucktommy kiss (which is a lot) where buck initiates the kiss at the wedding once tommy saves chim, i imagine buck runs up to tommy and immediately kisses him in front of everyone. which is great and all, but now i think it'd be great if it starts with a simple hug first. like there's a slowmo scene of tommy getting off the plane, looking around for someone he knows, and then buck yells his name and sprints over, we hear tommy let out a soft "evan" before he's stumbling at the force of buck's body colliding with his as he hugs him so tightly. and as buck holds him, there's a few reaction shots. bobby has a slightly raised eyebrow, wondering when they got so close, athena looks a lil confused but happy nonetheless, hen and karen share a look, maybe we see buck's parents share one too (but less knowing/sweet and more worried), and eddie smiles a lil. let's out a sigh of relief because tommy is his friend too and he's glad he's safe. and THEN buck kisses tommy. and oh my god we get to see everyone's face switch immediately. the shock and the confusion and the pride. oh it'd just be so beautiful.

my biggest btvs pet peeve is when people act as if willow doing questionable stuff is out of character... besties, one of the first things we learn about her is that she "accidentally" decripted the city council's security system before she even met buffy, girly will do anything as long as she has built a good enough excuse in her head and thinks she won't get caught!

another Minecraft SOS update for you all, this time about why there's a "no lore" rule put in place.

Here are my own personal thoughts about this: Good. I think a lot of us would agree that Empires s2 fizzled out at the end and that it was clear, even if they didn't show it, that the CCs were just not that passionate about it anymore. I think part of that has to do with the scripted lore stuff (the other thing would be the crossover which I have a lot of Thoughts about but it might be a bit too controversial, ig if you see an mcytblr confession about the crossover being *ahem* mid then you know who wrote it).

While the elaborate backstories and planned lore segments had their place... these are Minecraft creators, not actors or writers, and I'm sorry to say, but the obvious Lore moments were just a bit awkward and ill-conceived to watch sometimes. I like roleplay-based SMPs, but I prefer it when the bulk of the lore is kept to the fandom, yk? It leaves more room for imagination.

Minecraft storytelling is at its best when it is improv, which is why Empires 1 worked better. I feel like forcing a traditional storytelling structure on a non-traditional format is limiting the strength of the medium (can you tell I also want to write a paper on Minecraft storytelling and its completely unique approach to narrative and the dimensionality of characters, completely deconstructing/transforming the concept of the "protagonist?").

It's that time again where I over think block men. In this edition of the God forsaken desert duo I'll be over thinking the flowers.

In 3rd life we all know Scar gave Grian those god damn poppies and lilacs and now in Secret life Grian has given Scar god damn sunflowers. Poppies in the sacred language of flowers mean death or rather could mean sleep, peace, death, and or remembrance and as for lilacs, specifically purple lilacs, they mean the first emotions of love and or simply first love. With a simple gesture Scar changed their partnership forever. It was a red name looking a green name in the eyes and confessing something he could never say out loud in a death game without even realizing it. It was an acknowledgment of a weakness and where that weakness would lead them one day. In a death game death is unavoidable but he hoped that when his death came Grian could keep going. Never once thinking that those flowers would foreshadow the way their partnership would end. Never once thinking that his future killer was staring right back at him with a worried smile on his face. Now in Secret life it is Grian who gives Scar the flowers but this time they're sunflowers, do you know what sunflowers mean in flower language? Well let me tell you what they mean. They , in the sacred language of the flowers, mean a long life and lasting happiness and or could mean loyalty and adoration. Watching back the video you can clearly see these flowers weren't given to Scar in some big meaningful gesture like Scar had done all those life times ago. In fact they were given to Scar as if those flowers were garbage because to Grian that's what they were and yet Scar still takes them and makes it his entire thing if those namemc spoilers are anything to go off of. It isn't a promise. It isn't a confession. It's simply a flower. And yet and yet not. It's everything. It's nothing. It's two green names looking at each other with smiles on their faces. It's a new foreshadowing that I'm hoping comes to pass. It's a cactus deal in the middle of a field. And do you want to know what a cactus represents? It represents endurance, courage and power in the face of adversity. It represents two souls that finally understand. It represents Grian finally leaving that god damn ring.

My nesting partner not only suggested we get another proper bed in the spare room so we can stay up with other partners and not wake one another, they've also put on the table the idea of them and my other partner sleeping in the same bed all together with me in the middle and I'm *squirm* totally not freaking out about how adorable that is aaaaaaah UPDATE: IT HAPPENED. My heart was beating so fast, makin little jokes to ease the weirdness as the three of us nestled down for the night. Had an obscenely dry mouth all night, and didn't get much sleep, but we had lots of adorable footsies, and hand holding, and nuzzles, and I am positively vibrating with love right now.
