oh!! i absolutely adored the masc tattooed mc you did for the dateables, so i wondered if you'd be okay with doing it for the brothers too? :) it was written so well and cute im so curious to see the brothers' opinions too. hope u have a good day!!
Hey, anon!
I'm so glad you liked that one! I personally enjoyed doing it, so of course I'm happy to do the brothers, too!
Thank you for the request!
Tumblr media
the brothers react to heavily tattooed masc!MC who is sweet and kind
Warnings: none!
Tumblr media
Lucifer
His instinct is to think you must be a troublemaker. Keeps an eye on you all the time, especially in the beginning. Thinks only rebellious types get that many tattoos. He won't comment on it or anything, but you can tell that he thinks he needs to watch you.
Eventually he discovers that you're incredibly kind and reliable. It occurs to him that he completely misjudged you. Won't ever admit to that, though. His pride won't allow it. But he starts relying on you more in quiet subtle ways. Starts to trust you with things he might not have before.
Gets to the point where he wants to ask you about your tattoos. Brings it up casually in conversation. He finds himself curious about all of your tattoos, MC. Won't you tell him about them? He's trying to pretend that his interest is minimal, but you see right through that.
Lucifer won't ask to see them all, but if you show him all of them anyway, he'll be pleased. He's glad that you're comfortable enough to show them to him, no matter their location on your body. He will listen to your explanation of each one carefully. After this, you'll find he will occasionally brush his fingers along one of them on purpose. It's a small gesture of his affection for you.
Mammon
Completely flustered the second he lays eyes on you. Look at all those tattoos! He is trying desperately to hide the fact that he thinks it's really sexy. Acts like it's no big deal, of course he doesn't think you're super hot! Despite this reaction, he's going to be the first one to ask you about them.
In fact, talking to you about your tattoos is the way in which he discovers how sweet you are. He gets to know you better and sees that you're a really kind guy that just happens to have a lot of tattoos. And now he's really falling hard for you.
Absolutely wants to see them all, but he's too tsundere to ask you. He's still trying to play it cool. You are not fooled, of course. However, it's definitely going to be more fun to let him discover them all for himself. Every time he sees one he hasn't seen before, Mammon blushes profusely and it's really adorable.
There are two ways in which you can make him completely crazy. You can suggest he gets a tattoo that matches one of yours (or get a whole new one just to match with him). Or you can just go out and get a tattoo that is somehow about him. For instance, if you got something that mimicked the white markings he has on his chest in demon form, especially if you incorporated them into your existing tattoos, he'll lose his mind. What're ya doin' to him, MC?!
Leviathan
He has a mixed initial reaction. On the one hand, he's pretty sure tattooed humans are supposed to be scary. On the other hand, you could probably do some really cool cosplays. There are some really awesome tattooed characters! But his nervousness likely wins out until he gets to know you a little better.
Once Levi has discovered your kind personality, he gets more comfortable with you. Then he's going to ask about them. If you have any tattoos that are relevant to his interests, he will absolutely fall in love with them. He might be inspired to get one himself. Starts to design a Ruri-chan themed tattoo. If you get an Azuki-tan you can be sure he'll never get over it.
As he gets to know you, he starts wanting to see more of your tattoos. Absolutely will not ask to see ones that may be beneath your clothing. If you show them to him, he will blush and cover his face. You may have to pull his hands away if you want him to actually look at them. If you have a chest tattoo, he's going to be both flustered and mesmerized.
He will want to touch one, but he won't. Not on purpose. You can tell though, so you might have to initiate that contact. Tell him it's okay, that he can touch your tattoos if he wants. M-MC! Are you sure you want a gross otaku like him touching your beautiful tattoos?! Try not to laugh, even though it's really cute.
Satan
MC. He has noticed your lack of cat-related tattoos. Won't you allow him to show you his designs? If you already have a cat tattoo, he'll be so happy when he sees it, he'll do that thing where he frowns and blushes. He's embarrassed by how much he likes that tattoo of yours.
Unlike everybody else, he's not intimidated by your tattoos at all. He's not as surprised by your sweet personality because he didn't let your appearance cloud his judgment of you. In fact, if you did have a cat tattoo already, he probably fell in love with you the second he saw it.
Satan has likely read a whole bunch of books about tattoos. He might also know about how tattoos can be used in magic spells and the like. If you ask him about it, he will talk to you at length about everything he knows, which turns out to be a surprising amount.
He'll want to see them all, too. Doesn't have any issue asking you directly. Please give him a tattoo tour. He wants to know where all your tattoos are, what they are, and why you have them. He'll touch every single one, if you let him. He's fascinated by the process. Traces his fingers along every line. Only becomes flustered when he realizes what he's doing.
Asmodeus
Oh you have to model with him, MC! You with your tattoos and him just… being himself… you guys would look amazing together! Please come with him to his next photo shoot! He's not at all surprised to find that you're incredibly kind. He knows better than to judge someone based on how they look.
He's smitten with you. He really appreciates when someone is different from the stereotype imposed upon them by how they look. People judge him without knowing him all the time, he's not about to do that to you.
Asmo wants to know about every single tattoo. He will insist on seeing each one. Won't hesitate to touch and kiss them. He'll stop if you ask him to, but if you're okay with it, he's going to want to really get up close and personal. He thinks your body is stunning with all that art on it.
He'll make a whole clothing and makeup line inspired by your tattoos. Often paints your nails to match your tattoos. Let him design a new one for you and he'll be over the moon. He would love nothing more than to add his own personal touch of art to your body permanently.
Beelzebub
He's going to be neutral about it at first. He's not afraid of you or anything, but he's not totally amazed, either. Not until he gets to know you for who you are inside does he start noticing your tattoos. Your kindness draws him in and he finds he wants to know just because he wants to know about you.
He'll ask you about them one day when nothing crazy is going on and it's just the two of you hanging out somewhere. Admits that he's curious because he wants to know more about you. Only show him the ones you're comfortable showing him. He's more interested in what they mean to you.
Beel will certainly be amazed when you tell him about how tattoos happen, assuming the one he has when he's in the human world exists thanks to magic. He's going to frown seriously when he hears about needles and healing time. Might ask you if you ever needed to hold someone's hand while you were getting one done. If you have never done this, he'll offer to come with you for your next one. You might find holding onto someone comforting, MC.
Decides to get a tattoo that matches one of yours. Doesn't use magic, goes with you to the human world to get it done. Asks your help choosing the right one and the right location. Wants to go to your tattoo artist. If you've had multiple, he'll go to whichever one you recommend. Gets it somewhere so he can see it all the time.
Belphegor
Wary of you at first. Not that he finds tattooed people to be scary or anything, just that he kind of subscribes to Lucifer's idea of "likely to be a troublemaker" and that sounds tiring. However, when he finally realizes that you're the sweetest person he's ever met, tattoos or not, he throws all that worry out the window. And considering how Belphie first meets you when he's locked in the attic, he wasn't really that worried to begin with.
Doesn't ask you about them until much later, when you've had a pact with him for a while. He wants to know more about who you are and what they mean to you. He'll be particularly interested in any star-themed tattoos you may have. Especially if you have one of a constellation from the human world.
He won't ask to see them all. You can decide if you show them all to him or not. If you do decide to reveal everything, he's going to be secretly happy that you're sharing them with him. He's actually really fascinated by them. The more he sees of them, the more he likes them. You're already so handsome, MC, but your tattoos really add to it.
He has his favorites and you'll know which ones they are because he'll sneak little kisses on them when he thinks you're distracted. Whenever he naps with you, he can't seem to stop himself from running his fingertips along the design of whatever tattoo is closest to him in that moment. Will absolutely fall asleep doing this.

another late @arcvmonth prompt fill but I have decided to be nice to myself and just do things at my own pace
Anyway this is for Day 5, role swap, and I decided to dabble a bit in the Fusion-XYZ swap that used to be popular back in the day
Main art is of Sora and Shun's swap since they're the most prominent roles. Shun's outfit is semi-based off of Kaito's, as in XYZ instead of Obelisk Force, they would have the Number Hunters. The actual Number Hunters would wear an outfit pretty identical to Kaito's white coat design, but Shun's is a little different (the way Sora's is different from Obelisk Force) because he's trying to be a spy and all lol. I kept his signature colors/palette, I just wanted to make him look a little sleeker since he's not coming out of a civilian life where he got fucked up by a military invasion.
For Sora, I decided that since Academia is no longer a military school, their uniforms would end up being pretty much the same as they were in GX. I wanted to alter Sora's design a bit to show that this was a different universe, so I changed his jacket to be more like an actual GX jacket (still Obelisk Blue because come on he's still a good duelist lol), and his shorts are based off of Rei's uniform in GX, cause idk boy just looks good in shorts. Added a cloak because he had to be sort of incognito at first, like Shun and Yuto with their masks, and because even in canon all the Fusion kids are always wearing cool cloaks haha.
I have more thoughts under the cut but I don't want this post to get too long:
So basically, the swap's premise is that Leo goes to XYZ first and starts his child soldier grooming program there instead. This means that Academia is a normal duel school, while Heartland becomes essentially one big child soldier factory. Leo spreads his influence to multiple Heartland schools and connects them into one interdimensional army network.
Shun and Ruri are still siblings. They grew up together, and when Leo came along and started militarizing the schools, they just kind of got swept up in it. Leo located Ruri rather quickly, but since she already had some family ties, he couldn't isolate her as easily. So he rolled both Shun and Ruri into some of his more elite training squads.
Ruri is still kept in Heartland, but now she has not only Leo, but Shun also telling her to stay put and that she shouldn't participate in the invasion.
Shun is still very young when Leo gets ahold of him, so he swallows the whole "we have to destroy this other dimension for the sake of universal peace" pretty easily, and gets very gungho about it, because he wants to protect the world for his sister. Ruri also swallows the story, and wants to be a hero like her brother by fighting the "bad guys."
Meanwhile, Academia is just an ordinary school with ordinary kids doing ordinary stuff. Sora is just another student. He's super smart and good at dueling, but doesn't have a lot of drive to impress anyone and is considered a problem child. This gets him to butt heads with the star student of the school, Selena, who is annoyed that Sora is always lazing about, while Sora is annoyed that Selena is always nagging him.
You may ask, where are the dragon boys in this scenario? I'm glad you asked!
Yuto is still friends with Shun and Ruri, however, Leo has been taking steps to isolate him from them by sending him on lots of missions of his own. I didn't draw yuto cause I didn't want to try and design an outfit for him, but he plays a similar role to Yuuri: his job is to go and find girls that look like Ruri. Leo tells him that Ruri is special and there are girls like her who need to be found and taken into protective custody. Unlike Yuuri, who was very sadistic in his own way, Yuto is very genuine. He truly believes he's doing the right thing, and that in and of itself is terrifying. When he faces an opponent, he's always trying to comfort them, like "it's okay, being carded doesn't hurt, it's going to be all right." Which is scary! To most people!
Yuuri is another smart student at Academia who sees no need to prove himself to anyone, like Sora, so the pair of them tend to get along. He's one of those annoying kids who never studies but gets an A++ on everything he does and he has a big head about it. Yuuri's a bit of a prankster and a tease, so he also annoys Sora just as much as Selena does - but he annoys Selena far more.
Anyway, the invasion hits them HARD like it did the other way around in canon. Some of the elite students of the Academia barricade themselves in the school and defend with siege tactics as a last-ditch rebellion. Yuto is sent in to collect Selena, but Sora encounters him first. Sora challenges him and loses. But Selena arrives in time and threatens to make Yuto's job hell trying to chase her down if he cards Sora, but that if he lets Sora go, she'll go with him quietly. Sora blames himself for Selena's kidnapping, and the guilt drives him to find a way to get her back.
Unlike Sora, who in canon didn't have anything to do with the invasion, Shun actually is sent to Fusion as part of a strike force where he really racks up the card count and is considered a super powerful soldier. So Leo entrusts him then with the mission to head to Standard to keep an eye on Reiji.
Things go sideways for him though when 1) he notices Pendulum summoning and 2) he meets a girl who looks just like his sister.
So Shun goes to You Show instead, deciding this is a more effective use of his spying. While there, Yuzu ends up asking him to teach her XYZ summoning, which he agrees on account of her reminding him of Ruri.
So at this point, you can kind of guess where things go. Sora and Shun clash, Ruri runs away from Heartland to see if she can help her brother, and she meets Yuzu, who tells her to get the whole story.
Ruri arrives just in time to see her older brother throwing Sora down a flight of stairs after beating him in a duel, and she's horrified. How could her loving older brother do something like this? Shun is also horrified, because Ruri turns on him. He has no choice but to end up retreating back to Heartland, and Ruri stays behind.
Shun starts to switch sides a little faster than Sora did in canon, because now it's personal. At first he thinks that Ruri's been brainwashed or coerced by Reiji, so he's furious and desperate to take revenge, but once he has a chance to think about it, he starts to consider how Weird his childhood is and how much Leo was always trying to separate him and Ruri. So he starts to investigate what's actually happening - plus, he thinks Yuzu was kidnapped, and he feels guilty for getting her involved.
As another swap, Dennis and Sayaka switch places. Dennis is back in Academia trying his damndest to support the rebellion, but he's terrified and hates himself for his cowardice. Meanwhile, Sayaka was groomed into becoming a spy. She didn't end up becoming friends with Ruri in this continuity, so Ruri doesn't recognize her when she joins the Lancers - but Sayaka did still meet Yushou and was enamored with his dueling style, like Dennis was. She's quiet and sweet and wracked with guilt for everything she's done, but is too afraid to stand up to Leo and the Number Hunters.
anyway this is getting long! You can probably extrapolate some stuff from there :) maybe i'll do more scribbles about this au again sometime.

An unfiltered reaction to Jigen Daisuke the live action movie, which I call Jigen Daisuke, A Very Nice Man Who Kills People And Cries A Lot
I didn't read any other reviews/reactions yet because I want this to be PURE. lol. Also only watched once and I often change my mind on some points when I rewatch
Not sure whether I like this movie. I enjoyed it! But did I enjoy it as a movie, or as a Lupin fan?
It's not a movie that can stand alone outside the Lupin fandom. Like, if this was some random gunslinger movie, I would not have watched it in the first place. That would mean it loses points, except this is Lupin III, everyone knows it is, and it's openly relying on that clout. In this case, it's probably silly to consider it as a "movie" rather than a "Lupin movie." So that doesn't bother me.
On the flip side... the movie has nothing to do with Lupin III, so it could be about some rando and nothing would have to change. At all. That bugs me because if you're gonna give Jigen his own live action and not include the rest of the gang in any way (except for a three second appearance of the Fiat and Lupin's red jacket through the windshield), then you've got to go to lengths to make me believe it is in fact Jigen. I don't mean I want a "Meet Jigen Daisuke" montage - we're working under the assumption that most everyone watching already knows his character bio. In the script and acting, I need something that means he couldn't be switched out with any other Cool Guy (TM) character and read exactly the same way.
Nice things:
I like Tamayama's Jigen. He's cool but subdued, although you do get hints that he's not always so mellow, which I really appreciated. Like when he almost shouts at Oto and then purposefully lowers his voice. "Oh, I'm not yelling at Lupin, this is an actual child," lol. One of my favorite scenes was when he reads Oto's tragic backstory in the notebook, and wants to hide that he's tearing up, so he desperately fumbles for a cigarette, only to be thwarted haha. That, and him telling spectators "Don't look," seemed really Jigen to me.
A fun cast of original characters. I enjoyed Chiharu a lot. I think it's rather funny that Tamayama is playing the Cool Guy Main Character, who spends almost all of his on screen time talking to an elderly woman lol. But she was tough and kind and honestly I'm just glad she wasn't a sexy young lady lol. The people in her town, the florist, the guy who was kicked out of the Go club for gambling - all a lot of fun too.
Special mention: Ruri! I adored her the minute she appeared and I really expected she'd have more of a role than she did. I was back and forth whether she'd be a help or a hindrance, especially after it turned out she was Shadow Guy's (forgot his name sorry) lover. Usually I don't like the Love Interest Who Appears For One Movie Then Never Again, but in this case I was actually cheering fo Jigen/Ruri. Of course, the one time I like a ship, the rug is immediately pulled out from under me hahaha.
Found family dynamic I mean what can I say, you hit my weak point. Grandma Chiharu (the gun forger), her nephew Jigen (the hired gun), and his daughter Oto (the tortured child). Checks out. Also Jigen's desperation to make Oto happy was adorable.
Really cool disabled villain?! Adele's opening scene was awesome. Honestly, when I saw she was in a wheel chair and had a fancy prosthetic leg, all I was expecting was that she'd open her knee cap and surprise! there'd be a gun inside. But not only did she get to pop some wheelies, she also took advantage of her lower vantage point to maneuver the gunmen into shooting each other. It was a strong opener and, personally, my favorite action sequence in the movie.
The lighting and atmosphere were pretty great throughout. I especially enjoyed Shadow Guy's uhh shadowy-ess. (Not so much his questionable CG faces.) The use of colored lighting, the showdown between Jigen and Shadow Guy that was all in blue etc, gave the film an artistic tone which kinda helped cover up stuff that was otherwise rather bland.
The concept of "drugs made from children" - at first I was just laughing, like what the heck? I thought they meant smuggling drugs inside the children's bodies or something. But I changed my mind. However sci-fi it is, I think it's kind of neat that they basically taught the audience the effect of constant stress on a young child's psyche, and how it keeps them in a constant state of fight or flight. Yeah, all the details were super iffy (why would drinking their blood send any of that to the recipient, and why would it result in eternal young? lol), but hey, it's Lupin *shrug* At the time, I was hoping there would be further messages about ways adults, even those who are well-meaning, overlook the impact our actions have on children, or ignore their feelings. Because Oto's feelings were very much ignored before Jigen. The movie seemed to be going out of its way to show us how much Jigen was trying to get Oto to speak for herself, even through writing, and have an opinion of her own. So I was intrigued, but it didn't really go anywhere. It's nice that Jigen's goal was Oto learning to laugh, but since Oto is pretty much just a victim after getting kidnapped again, we lose touch with her character and it doesn't hit the same for me. Which leads me to...
Meh things:
The first half of the movie is kinda low energy. While I wasn't exactly expecting typical Lupin shenanigans, so much of the first half is just Jigen talking to people without learning much. I like Chiharu, sure, but she's not like a scintillating conversationalist. (Although she is better than Jigen lol)
And while as expected the energy picked up with the action scenes in the second half, they were almost without speech - which is a point for realism, but minus a point for Entertaining Fizz *shrug* If only Lupin were there to provide a partner for some witty banter. I'm kinda joking, with Jigen alone the silence is fitting and supports the clean and speedy way he shoots. But it just went on so long. And you know there's not much very Lupin-y about this movie, except the ridiculous stunts and sheer number of people Jigen defeats all by his lonesome self... so that's a thing.
The whole "your gun talks to you" thing gets a big What from me. If was Goemon I'd understand, at least in the sense that it would be Goemon and I don't understand him anyway. :P Jigen's relationship with his gun is weirdly intimate true. And I really enjoyed Chiharu pointing out that considering how many parts he's had to replace over the years, no part of his magnum is actually the same one he started out with. When Jigen got a present of magnum bullets from the florist, I knew he'd get his revolver back soon (I mean we all would have known it anyway, it's Jigen), and the moment he ran out of bullets for his replacement gun, I was like, shit Chiharu's coming NOW?? And not only does she come, she careens into the hyper security building in a big ol' bus. Which... is a good choice I guess, good protection. But the timing, THE TIMING. There are some coincidences I can forgive and some I can't lol. All I'll say saves this scene is that Chiharu doesn't die in it.
Re: the talking gun: for this movie to impress me, it needed to tell me something about Jigen. It didn't need to earth-shattering news. I wasn't hoping for a bunch of flashbacks about his youth on the streets or anything. Just something about his heart, his values, his weaknesses... Anything. What we get is obvious: The first scene is Jigen shooting a man in a gun fight. A child is there, although they're taken away before it starts, so I guess the man is the kid's father. Then the movie itself is about protecting a child's happiness. I suppose there's a message there. Still I don't think, in the end, we learned anything about Jigen at all. He's cool. He's brusque. He likes to say he doesn't like things he does in fact like very much. He's sentimental. I guess we learned Jigen cries easily because he was like crying aaaaall the time. Okay okay, that's exaggerating. But still. The cigarette cry was a good cry. Loved the acting. But when he tears up around Chiharu later, it was too much for me. Like he's trying to convince her that she shouldn't rely on the police, she should rely on him instead, because he'll definitely be able to shoot straight through those tears. *shrug*
Another complaint about Jigen: is he a guy who's worked as a bodyguard, a merc, a hired gun? Because ya definitely don't see it in this movie! He's pretty much a superhero. Rescuing Oto, protecting Chiharu, fighting through his own injuries, defeating legions of enemies, and keeping the moral high ground. As much as I don't think a Jigen movie has any need to explain it's a Jigen movie, it's weird to me that he's so much a good guy in it - yeah, I know a lot of Lupin movies are like that, so this kind of a pointless complaint... But it still bugs me.
Back to the OCs. Adele, who was so awesome at first, is totally uninteresting the rest of the time. I expected some commentary on her using a mechanical voice while Oto tries to recover her real one. It's probably good they didn't do that, because it's pretty insensitive to real people with vocal problems. But because they still gave Adele that voice and made it part of her tragic backstory, your mind goes there anyway. The real bummer of Adele is that we never really know what she wants. She says it's power, and we're meant to understands that because she had so much of her power taken away as a child, this is how she gains it back as an adult. But she's soft and heartbroken at the end, pretty much telling us she wishes Jigen had been there for her the way he's there for Oto. That's not a new idea, but it sucks when the only build up to it is Adele saying it out loud and then, instead of using her amazing fighting prowess, she challenges him to a quick draw duel. You could argue that since they're both quick draws, this was an interesting fight... But what was memorable about Adele's fighting was how intricate and showy it was. Jigen did that took in his way, but what he's known for are those cowboy stand-offs. So this was Jigen's duel from the outset and from the audience's perspective Adele had already lost simply because of that. Yes she's happy Jigen's released her from her miserable life I guess. Who she is, what drives her, how she really feels about Oto and the other children, is all kinda just bits of information which come out piecemeal in the rather anticlimactic finale.
The movie is live action, and generally benefits from it. But with Adele, for some reason it went super anime IMO. I don't just mean her character design. It's definitely different, but not too far off from the rest of the characters. The way she cradles Oto, dressing her in the white gown, keeping her on her lap like a doll, made me think of gothic novels, and def shojo manga. The way Adele dramatically falls out the window with a smile in slow motion as well seemed right out of anime storyboard. Not a big deal in the scheme of things, but it stuck out to me like a sore thumb. Obvs Shadow Guy is a pretty anime-style henchman too, but not as extreme as Adele.
Shadow Guy and Ruri: Just didn't get enough development. I really wish Ruri and Jigen had met again in the end. I was half expecting her to show up and try to get revenge on Jigen, or kill herself... I mean I'm definitely glad she didn't, because we hardly needed more tragedy to balance out Oto's rescue. But I liked Ruri, I'm sorry her lover was killed even if it was his own doing, and they definitely seem to have been in tough strait themselves, so. And Ruri knows Chiharu. Everything seemed prime for her to have some role in the finale, but nope. Honestly, much as I like Chiharu, I might have enjoyed Ruri taking in Oto? Okay, Ruri's lifestyle isn't conducive to raising a kid at all :P But it would have tied her in, maybe, if she moved in with Chiharu so an old retired lady didn't have sole responsibility of a traumatized young girl. And Ruri could have learned watch-making, along with being a sex worker, hopefully encouraging her to be more choosy with her clients so she doesn't get hurt so much. Idk I just felt Ruri was left out to dry in the end, her romance existing just to make the movie sadder.
Last, Oto: Cute actress. Very good at behaving terrified. And adorable when she was finally allowed to smile. But like I mentioned earlier, I wish she had found more agency in the end. Of all the tropes they avoided, one I wish they'd kept was Oto finding her voice in the final battle scene. I know she says "I'm sorry." But I'm picturing like, Adele has Jigen at her mercy, and at the moment Adele begins to shoot Oto just shrieks with everything in her and it distracts Adele enough that Jigen finds an opening... Her getting miraculously cured in an instant would be overkill for sure, and I appreciate that she's doing some self-therapy through writing in the notebook as she recovers and heads towards speech one day. What I really just wanted was for Oto to have some say/something to do in her own rescue.
Speaking of which, it seems children have replaced women in the action movie "damsel in distress" role. In Lupin it's everywhere. I'm a bit tired of it. I miss scrappy, precocious kids.
Tl;dr: I enjoyed the movie as a Jigen fan. It's not bad! It's better than expected really. I have a couple :) issues, that's all. Lol
