does anyone else remember how in hooked on you rin and evan used to date largely due in part to their mutual daddy issues. is this common knowledge.

you only get a hint of the most credibly canon dbd ship when you fail philip’s route and it mentions he might get with sally and then they throw the most curveball pairing at you from absolutely nowhere and upon seconds of learning this info it is immediately mandatory to be quizzed by evan for him to see if you actually care abt rin enough to listen to her when she talks. he gives you his blessing before kazan does. (he does go out of his way to clarify he isn’t doing this bc he owns her or anything but is doing this bc he doesn’t like you.)

PLEASE tell us more about the camper parents/guardians, they have so much personality already but I'm curious as to your thoughts on them!!!

OK SO. Here's a little info on some of the pairs! I based some of their backstories and "parenting" on how their children behave in Psychonauts 1 and on what little insight into the campers' home-lives we are given by their Campster pages if any at all (there's a web archive link to it on the Ps wiki when you look for "Campster" if you ever wanna check them out! Lots of interesting stuff on there! I've also tried to add it here!). They don't all have names yet, but soon enough they will!

⚠️ALSO! Before we start: a quick content warning for mentions of child abuse, alcoholism, and neglect. Not all of these kids live happy lives.⚠️

The Canolas: Don Canola and his wife homeschool Maloof and get him private tutoring in the subjects he needs help in. They're actually one of the more stable families of the bunch despite being a crime family.

Ms. Foote: Her and her Ex-husband share custody of Clem. Their relationship is extremely rocky and the only reason he even gets to see his son is because of the intense fear she has of him. She finds it hard to have a relationship with her son because of his unwillingness to show interest in anything at home. She tries her best to indulge in anything Clem seems to enjoy, but she feels like she barely knows him.

The Phages: Ms Phage is a widow and now single mother to Milka Phage. Her husband was an alcoholic that stormed off after an argument over his addiction one day and just never came home. The police found his body with several stab wounds under a bridge somewhere days later. After this death, Ms Phage went into a severe depression. During this time, she would become irritable when she saw her daughter and told her to "dissappear" because she couldn't stand to look at her (she looks a lot like her dad). Milka became so good at disappearing on command that sometimes her mom just straight up forgot she was there. During these times, Milka would help herself to whatever was in the fridge and hang around for however long she'd like. Well, at least her cat could see her.

Ms. Snagrash: The single mother to Crystal (never married). She hasn't gotten the memo that she can't go out drinking and partying all day anymore if she's a mom. Because of this mindset, she sees Crystal as a burden and make sure she knows that. She's never had Crystal in a stable environment and is always with some new guy she more than likely wants to leech money from.

The Bulgakovs: Mr. and Mrs. Bulgakov are Mikhail's parents! They live in Kazan, Russia, but sent little Misha over just so he can make some friends over in The States! Mr Bulgakov looks stern and serious, but enjoys a good bear fight. Mrs Bulgakov wishes the boys would get some different, more productive interests like carpentry or archery or something...

The Tripes: Mr and Mrs Tripe love to tell Vernon stories! They encourage him to make his own and think he'll make a great author one day (with A LOT of practice, of course). Sometimes, they'll tell Vernon a story, and he'll try to tell the same one to kids at his school but with HIM as the main character. They have an old little dog named "Lady" that Vernon likes to take on walks.

Ms. Fir: She is the single mother of Elton who works at a brothel by the seaside (this is also where she met his father). While she isn't with her son 24/7, she still makes an effort to provide what she can for him in their situation. Elton spends most of his time down by the docks talking to the marine life in the sea.

The Hedgemice: Mr and Mrs Hedgemouse are the parents to Quentin Hedgemouse! They are probably one of the most loving and supportive pairs in this bunch! Mr Hedgemouse used to be in a band himself in highschool (it wasn't very good or well known, but he had fun!) and thinks it's great Quentin's got one too! He often jokes about trying to join "The Levitators". Nowadays he works as a simple book shop clerk. Mrs Hedgemouse is a stay at home mom who enjoys baking and making treats! She dreams of one day opening her own bakery!

The Loves: Mr and Mrs Love are still new to learning about their psychic powers. They only recently got into it after finding out that Phoebe shared this gift and was having problems controlling it.

(P.S. I'm really glad a lot of you seem to enjoy them so far!!!!! Like I'm seeing a bunch of positive feedback for them and it makes me 😭😭😭/pos)

Hello there, I'm Skaar!

This is my FFXIV sideblog where I post about my characters and my version of the MSQ, named—with great originality—the WoL Verse.

My main blog, where I post other people's FFXIV art and screenies, is @ungrateful-cyborg

You'll find below a few interaction/rp rules, a few explanations about the WoL verse and more info on my roster (because I'm an altoholic not interested in getting better XD) and main tags.

WoL verse

Inge was at the Battle in Carteneau with a tattoo to prove it (not in game, wasn't a 1.0 player) and is trying to help rebuilding the world after failing to save it. Aïcha is a wanted criminal in Thavnair who fled and needs money and redemption. Both are stubborn, both are resourceful, neither expects their life to turn into legends.

Ships: Inge/Yersinia (@inah-ffxiv's OC) & Inge/Y'shtola, Aïcha/Zenos, Aïcha/Estinien

In short: the WoL verse is the MSQ with my two co-WoLs. Inge is Azem's reincarnation, Aïcha's ancient role is yet undetermined, but without them both, the world wouldn't have the stability it now enjoys.

Expect a few changes of canon events, either because I don't like the canon version, wanted to explore something new or because it worked better with my WoLs this way.

Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters Verse Info For Akatsuki.

(Note: This verse is written in the context of the events of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga by Kazuki Takahashi, and do connect directly to the canon of my Mokuba, and the DM verses for Gao, Tasuku, and Suzuha specifically. However, it can be easily adapted or written to not include connections to Mokuba or my other muses and or adapted to fit the Anime's story. In addition, the inclusion of this character in the storyline of my Mokuba does not have to be present in any interactions had with Mokuba either. This are meant to be a basis/starting point for interactions not a end-all be-all. I am flexible and this can all be discussed at the individual level.)

Akatsuki Kisaragi (Ninja Arts Apprentice & Zanya Kisaragi's #1 Fan)

Bio

Name: Akatasuki Kisaragi

Age: 10 (So 1 year younger than Mokuba is)

Family: Zanya Kisaragi (Elder Brother, also called 'Big Z' by Akatasuki), Police Commissioner Kisaragi (Father), Mrs. Kisaragi (Mother, Divorced From Father)

Residence: Cho-Tokyo, Japan.

Friends: Mokuba Kaiba, Nanomachine Ninja Tsukikage, Baku Omori, Kuguru Uki, Kiri Hyoryu, Gao Mikado. Tetsuya Kurodake, Paruko Nanana, Kazane Fujimiya,Suzuha Amanosuzu, Noboru Kodo, Tasuku Ryuenji.

Games Played: Buddyfight (Main Game), Capsule Monsters Chess, Duel Monsters, and various arcade games.

Story Description

Akatasuki is the youngest son of Police Commissioner Kisaragi of Cho-Tokyo's police force and the younger brother to Zanya Kisaragi, a prodigy of Kendo and Buddyfighting. Ever since he was young, he's looked up to his brother and admired him and his skills. As such, he's dedicated himself to being his brother's number one supporter, including being his practice partner / tuner for Buddyfight, kendo, swordplay, and for learning ninja arts. Though, compared to 'Big Z', his skills in these areas are rather lacking (he is the most NON-SNEAKY ninja ever LOL). He also is not the best student in school, but he tries his best in all areas so he can be 'useful' to his brother and even goes out of his way to look out for him and his best interests. He does not, however, share his brother's 'uncomfortableness' / phobia of girls.

Both he and his brother attend school in the nearby city of Domino, for their father thought it be best for them to attend school in a city they would not be treated differently for being the Commissioner's children. Akatsuki does NOT attend Aibo Academy like his older brother, however. He attends Domino Elementary, the same school as Mokuba Kaiba. Though, he is in the grade below the young Kaiba.

Akatsuki and Mokuba, while not being classmates, do often run into each other on and off campus. However, their relationship had...a rocky start. Prior to the events of Death-T, Akatsuki was bullied by Mokuba and his gang of little thugs, often being the victim of various pranks and was made fun of constantly (usually over his ninja arts or his lack of skill in games). He was usually the person Mokuba would beat in Capsule Monsters Chess for fun as well.

As a result of this, Akatsuki hated going to school. He would meet his brother, who picks him up after school, either in tears and or covered in the aftermath of whatever prank he was subjected to. It got so bad to the point he started faking sick just to not go.

However, following the events of Death-T, things changed. Mokuba, feeling remorse for his past actions and wanting to go back to his true nature, approached Akatsuki one day and apologized for his actions. He explained the complexities of his situation to the young ninja (as best he could without getting too personal), and upon hearing he was acting this way to get his brother's attention / approval, Akatsuki immediately emphasized with the young Kaiba, realizing that if the situation was different, he could have ended up like him. And so, he gave Mokuba another chance, despite his father and brother telling him he shouldn't, and the two young boys had been great friends ever since. However, Akatsuki is intimidated by Mokuba's older brother, not only due to just the kind of person Seto is but also from what private info Mokuba has shared about his brother from his past. This would change slowly over time, I imagine.

Mokuba did all he could to make it up to Akatsuki, including inviting him over for sleepovers, helping him with homework, and even being his teacher in learning both Capsule Monsters better and taught him Duel Monsters. In return, Akatsuki teaches Mokuba the ways of the ninja and kendo as best he could, mainly focusing on stealth tactics. The two are usually the person the other can vent to about their older brothers, in addition to the person they talk to when they just wanna fanboy over how amazing their big brothers are. Akatsuki, with Zanya in toe, sometimes also walks Mokuba home.

When it is time to enter high school, Akatsuki and Mokuba switch to Aibo Academy. By this point, Akatsuki has met his buddy, Nanomachine Ninja Byakuya, and has become a strong Buddyfighter, ninja, and kendo master in his own right. He and Mokuba continue to be close throughout the years, often being called 'partners in crime'. Akatsuki, his Buddy, and or his brother and his buddy Tsukikage will also serve as bodyguards for Mokuba for some professional events. I can see Akatasuki even pursuing a position similar to Isano but for Mokuba, being Mokuba's right-hand man but also his bodyguard (or even becoming head of security).

This Kazan is willing to spend most of his patience on his great-great-great-great grand daughter, since they’re family. He is very old fashioned but he knows that woman can be great warriors and has known noble lady samurais.

Outside of trials Kazan is still prone to flip off the handle but there’s anyways a choice for your character to escape. It depends on you. Inside of trials, he is constantly enraged, everything done to him, he takes as slight to him. You may attempt to talk to him but otherwise you are going on that hook whether you like it or not.

The estate does have a hot springs for Rin and himself to relax in between matches.

Kazan knows:

archery, swordplay, horseback riding, horseback warfare, martial arts, unarmed fighting, sumo, falconry, being proficient in fighting with chain weapons such as the kusarigama, kanabo, bos, yari, naginata(even if was used typically by samurai women.) And being that samurai were part of the noble class and Kazan had a legendary samurai for a father in Renjiro. Kazan is an all star in Japanese warfare thanks to his father and access to extensive training.

Also samurai were taught to do poetry, tea ceremonies, ink painting, gardening.

Couple that with his blood empowerment, manipulation, and among other things. Kazan is a force to be reckoned with.

Kazan believes that the other killers are not worth his time and pathetic, although:

The Spirit: Rin is the only killer he will feel sympathetic to((for now?)) and empathic with the rage she feels for being cut down by her father and his cursed blade. She being his kin helps greatly, he feels a great familial need to be there for her. He is absolutely devoted and loves his great-granddaughter.

The Huntress: Anna's is held in high respect for her prowess and the lethal proficiency with her hatchets. The fact that she hunted dangerous game without any help is commendable.

The Plague: Adiris' status as a priestess who kept her devotion even after being brought to this foggy hell is remarkable to him. He would meditate with her if not for the sickness she carries(he's not sure if the infection is easily passed outside of trials like it is in.)

The Shape: He hates him for treating his kin that way but-. Michael's obsession to kill anyone associated with his sister is horrifically astounding.

The Trapper: As Evan is one of the oldest killers in the Fog, he defers to him for advice and company. He is more patient with him as so, even if he doesn’t always understand his devotion to the Entity.

The Executioner: Hates him.

The Nemesis: Clearly the bioweapon is sapient, astounds Kazan on how far weapons for war have progressed.

The Cenobite: Another demon that Kazan is on friendly terms with, great conversation partner while enjoying tea. Baffles him that there’s another sadistic demon from hell that’s somewhat interested in him.

The Legion: A gaggle of idiotic teens, annoyance range depends on specific Legion members.

The Ghostface: A moron.

The Trickster: Annoying but fun to infuriate.

Rin - Her weapon is a reflection of herself in her eyes. A reflection of her suffering and pain. Her rage the blades edge is rugged and dull but it has an impossible shine reflecting herself in it constantly. She treats it with some respect but its just a reminder an object to channel and fuel her rage and emotions. Kazan has scolded her many times on the importance of taking care and loving ones weapon but..rin doesn't enjoy what she does not fully but its one of the only thing that gives her relief from the floods of rage and grief that constantly torment her. Adiris - I'll put info about her vomit power under a read more after everyone else's but her censor is a sacred tool to her. She cleans it cares for it greatly it's nasty work what she does it willingly. Though over the many years of Adiris doing what she does she has seen her once holy tool of purification that glowed with power from the entities blessing has gone dull no matter how many hours she spends polishing it it's useless. The same spark of purpose and godly love she found here has begun to turn into a sour taste as she observes the survivors and realizes that she's begun to see herself in them. She still clings to it desperately hoping it will shine one day. Herman - He has no connection to his weapons lol he may have a cute name for it here and there as a joke but he experiments and edits his weapon so much its hardly ever the same. It just like a scalpel to him you know? Nothing special important to keep it sharp and sterile but it can be easily replaced. Easily remade. He's half hazard with it not caring if it gets chipped or dented if he misses a swing on a survivor and clangs it against a tree instead. vom mention below

When it comes to her vile purge Adiris has grown use to the taste and texture long ago it doesn't bother her at all (most of the time) but when she ingest the sickness of others unto herself to create a vile hot bloody stream at first it was wonderful she enjoyed the feeling knowing she was doing holy work. She was here in this unknown realm working "side by side" with them but as time as crept on the same burning doubts in her faith has turned the once welcomed pain into a hot searing sour experience leaving her empty feeling. Survivors who have been here for awhile might have noticed how she uses it considerably less now.

Crick being the 1 normal dude is hilarious and him knowing about the Metaverse things makes sense. No angst is in brain only “It’s going to be so awkward whenever Crick is just babysitting Kazan in their apartment.”

Crick is just accepting things that Kazan and Temenos are saying about the Metaverse because he can not understand it. “Oh so Ochette is from the Metaverse? Okay that’s normal. Oh Hikari is cursed and might bring the end of the world? Sure okay. Does he want me to bring tea to help him calm down?” He’s just trying his best.

On the angstier note I remembered Stormhail. And all I can think of is Crick possibly trying to help by looking through records of what may be Metaverse research thanks to connections with his friend Ort. This of course leads to kidnapping and Temenos stressing out over his boyfriend being missing.

And then as a 180 I can just see Kazan going “Your boyfriend got kidnapped” in the most dull voice ever.

Temenos: He’s not my boyfriend.

Kazan: *visible confusion*

Kazan: He isn’t???

Yes yes yes Crick is trying his best. He's a little confused but he got the spirit. He might just be a little freaked out thinking wait, Temenos, you just kidnapped (arrested) this guy who betrayed your best friend and we're just okay with this? Then Crick just ends up watching TV with the dude when Temenos isn't pressing him for info on the Metaverse.

I feel like he WOULD tell Crick that the Sacred Guard (..wonder what their equivalent would be) knows more about the Metaverse than he thinks just to mess with him. Crick doesn't believe that of course but he does when Temenos eventually brings it up to him.

Also the idea of Crick going into the metaverse research for info as an equivalent to Stormhail?? That works so well. I think he would look into it and do research, maybe he ends up stealing Temenos's phone and going to the Metaverse himself to get the information they need.

Temenos would be terrified when he sees what has happened.

Simon smiles at the man who greets him as he enters, the little bell on the door making a tinging noise. He does like it when people pay attention to him when he goes out, and a surefire way to make sure that you keep his business is to make him feel like he has a place there. Lost in a faceless crowd… that more so belongs to the Lonely or the Stranger, though he did toy with the idea himself for a while, the sort of insignificance that it brings about, all of the people rushing past, none of them caring that you need help.

While he likes to inflict such feelings on other people, he hates to have the same treatment turned around on him, so to be greeted in such a warm way is good.

“You see, I don’t get much sleep these days,” he starts explaining, shaking his head as he approaches the counter. It might be a grim statement coming from somebody else—what is it that is causing them to lose sleep? Nightmares? Stress? But the way that Simon says it is very tongue-in-cheek, a joke, one of those if-you-know-then-you-know sorts of things. “I like to go wandering at night as a result sometimes. There is a lot in the world that the nine-to-fivers don’t get to see, having to be up so early in the morning.”

There are also things to be seen in the early mornings, like glorious sunrises, and thankfully, Simon gets to see it all, since he never needs to bother with sleep.

“As for why I picked here specifically, well… it’s simply a place that I haven’t been before! Every day’s an adventure if you choose to make it one, yeah?” He looks down, then, bending over slightly and laying a finger on his chin while he inspects the contents of the case in front of him. He does wonder how good they still are, if they have been sitting out all day, but he figures that they’re probably still edible and likely quite good if one gets past any mild staleness! “But because this is my first time, I’m a little indecisive. Is there something that you recommend?”
