LEANDER perks his head up at the sound of your laughter ringing from the living room. he keeps his steps quiet as he walks to where you're sitting on the couch, headphones on for a voice call.
you're quick to notice him, waving while you tease a friend over something they said. ais doesn't hesitate to sit next to you, letting his head fall onto your shoulder. you bring your arm around him and laugh again. "what the hell are you talking about, dude?"
leander can be patient. he's patient with his job, with you dragging yourself out of bed, or you trying to pick what snacks you want for movie night. but something itches at him, whatever part of him that's needy to have your attention now that he's home. he exhales against your skin, catching your gaze when you look over. he smiles and you smile back.
"of course i wanna see the outfit, let me see," you say suddenly.
leander pouts.
his eyes move from your face to the screen to see who's taking you away. your friend has turned on his camera to show off what he bought. "oh, that's really nice, what the fuck? when did you get this?"
"yes, i'm sure you'll get everyone's attention, weirdo. it looks great. you look...handsome? pretty? whichever. both, somehow," you end your sentence confused. "shut up, i'm saying you look good. take the compliment."
you don't notice leander clenching his jaw while he watches the scene unfold. it's immature. it's immature for him to get jealous, he chides. and he isn't, not really, just a little needy. but without looking at him, you ask, "babe, doesn't he look super handsome-pretty? leander's here, by the way. yeah, y—okay. handsome-pretty boy says hi."
"oh? am i not handsome-pretty boy?" he asks, brow raised.
"huh? aw, le, you're the handsome-est, prettiest boy, ever. which means you're the best judge of my handsome-pretty scale, where you land high on in this," you end with a pointed look at your screen, despite your camera being off.
your original question is forgotten when your friend snaps back with a joke, and it's like you never spoke to leander in the first place. his pout returns and he furrows his brows. arms come around your waist in a snug hold, and he nuzzles closer into the crook of your neck. he says he's not jealous.
your eyes flicker between him and your friend—he needs your eyes on him only. leander presses a kiss to your collarbone—not because he's jealous, he repeats to himself—before trailing more up your neck and jaw. and he repeats it again when he kisses the corner of your lips. but then he hears the stutter in your voice as his fingers crawl under your shirt to rest on your hips, and he can't help the accomplished smile that forms.
"hey, i think i have to go now, actually. yeah, i forgot i never ordered dinner. you'll do great, okay?" you reassure your friend, hand coming to rest over your boyfriend's. "yeah, good luck, text me if anything happens, bye!"
leander is so close that he can hear the familiar sound of you leaving the voice channel through your headphones. he moves so that when you look at him, you can easily see the innocent smile he flashes you. "you wanna order dinner?"

GRAAAHHH!! anon i hope u are having an awesome day today. he’d suggest going early in the morning or near sunset so it isn’t as hot Plus if u time it properly it’ll be even prettier!! he makes sure u both have water and u aren’t getting too tired… & if u jokingly asked to be carried he’d offer to do so genuinely ;; the both of u point out birds or things along the path,, maybe listen to music together to keep ur mind off of how ur legs are starting to ache and u want to lie down on the dirt after a particularly steep part... he tells u "we're almost there!" like 4 different times and by the time u really Are almost there u barely believe him o)-(
bokuto calls your name, and you turn to see him behind you with his phone ready to take a photo. “kotaro, i swear,” your voice muffled as you cover your face.
“babe, why are you covering your face?”
“because i’m tired and sweaty and probably look like shit?”
“no, you look nice!” he promises.
despite being unable to see it, you frown at him, knowing full well if you saw yourself in the front camera right now, you'd turn the phone off.
you hear the sound of his footsteps against the gravel and rustling through the grass. his hands come to hold yours, gently pulling them away from your face. kotaro greets you with a smile. “see? cute as always.”
“ko,” you drag out his name and rest your forehead against his chest. he hums, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you in. he rubs your back with one hand, playing with the edge of your top with the other. relaxing against him, you sigh. “you know you’re the only person who could say that right now.”
“nuh-uh.”
“yuh-huh.”
kotaro makes a noise of disagreement once more, eyes flickering between you and the sun behind you. “will you take a photo if i promise not to post it?”
you respond with silence. looking up, you see his seemingly permanent smile whenever he’s with you, before turning to look at the sky that has since turned even warmer shades of purple and orange since turning your back to it.
it would be a waste to not get at least one photo now that you've made it to the top—especially when you don't know if or when you'll come back. “...yeah, okay. it is pretty.”
his smile grows wider and he takes your hands in his, pulling you along. “ko?”
“this spot is better for you to pose at! i don't want bad back lighting for you. can we take one together after, too?”

and i have a very specific image in my head of yamaguchi being like,, "wait, try this one" (maybe After the fruit have all been picked and washed, depending on you) after taking a bite himself, but it ends up being really sour. LOL. your face is scrunching up and you're doing the thing where you stick your tongue out or smack your lips together,, and you ask him why he did that, how he did that—but when you look at him again he's also grimacing even while he laughs. commitment to the bit? and you guys keep doing it, or just,, squint suspiciously at each other's offer even if you're being serious
and ennoshita!! thinking of timeskip specifically when he's a physical therapist because i would totally use that to make jokes. especially with strawberry picking and having to bend down/crouch so much BFSHJFD i'd be going help...help...helppp just for him to look over and snicker at my state. "how do i help you?" "i don't know, give me a massage? you're the physical therapist." kind of thing. i think he'd help you up and massage you if you committed, but it'd be a crappy shoulder/neck massage that gets u to playfully smack his shoulder because what LOL.

when you cut up some fruit for him to eat and he does the thing like in that one post where he leaves one piece so you can have it. it also gives the both of you an excuse for you to come over again—"i'm just too full, can't you come over and finish it for me please?" [it is a single peach slice]
you don't have to ask to hold his hand or kiss his face or whatever else, he welcomes and appreciates all of it
micah always kissing you goodbye before one of you has to leave. mfw (my/micah's face when) you get home and he's ready to tell you you forgot to get your goodbye kiss before leaving. Ok

you want to say some Words of Affirmation? this is about to become a cheesy little contest where you're both complimenting and thanking each other for little things. as it goes on his voice and smile eventually soften before he sighs and goes "god, i love you."
this is barely tangential but i needed to put it somewhere . if you guys get separated somewhere and he finds you first there's a few scenarios here . 1) making eye contact and grinning before pulling you into him,, "there you are, angel." 2) micah scaring you before kissing you and apologizing 3) micah draping his arm around you from behind and saying something like "come around here often?" like yes it's the grocery store💗

About the Ais hc, I'm thinking......his pets and yours would eventually get along to the point that would spark the thought of living together and waking up next to e/o and being domestic and lovely and:(((( *screams and cries*

there's no way to be all-encompassing of every pet for a proper drabble but like! the idea of! you joking about how your pets have gotten so attached to his, how they always perk up when you mention visiting. and ais humming as he continues to watch them play... and then Half joking about moving in together so they can see each other more often.
and you're like hahah. for real? and he turns to see the shock/hesitancy on your face, and he smiles, and he teases you like what? you don't want to move in with me? (he's partially hiding the fact that he's sort of nervous you actually don't.) and he knows princess probably wouldn't be welcomed by most renters, huh? would you rather come here? (wherever Here is. i have no idea where he sleeps every night. is it the seaspring...) or maybe build a house somewhere else?
he's turned to keep watching your pets play together at this point, and you think his voice is oddly calm for what he's proposing. your mind is reeling at the thought of living with and waking up to him—not new thoughts, and definitely not unwelcome ones either. so after a few beats of silence you say you'd like that. and he doesn't respond at first, maybe to see if you keep speaking. and you say you're not sure where or how, but if you could live together, you'd really like that. and so would they, probably.

using this ask as an excuse to ramble about keiji. YIPPEE!!
a lot of dates associated with keiji are like,, calm and pretty in a way—things like museums or aquariums where you guys just walk around and talk, dinner at home, ceramics and painting at a picnic, etc... and there's obviously nothing wrong with any of those but sometimes he starts overthinking about how you might be bored with him :-( so he tries to find ways to make them more fun y'know
separating at a museum to find pieces you both really like / think the other would like so you can show each other.... googling facts beforehand about different exhibits so he can share them with you.... mentioning exhibitions he Knows you'd enjoy.... finding a new dish from a different country together to try making together.... playing a show in a different language and trying to guess what the plot of the episode was.... switching paintings every 10 minutes with a theme in mind.... that kind of stuff . he also asks if you ever want to do something more exciting because he wants to make sure you're happy when you're together ;;
if you catch him at "peak overthinking worried keiji" and jokingly say something like "sky diving" he wouldn't even process it as a joke at first LOL. he'd freeze and say "....okay," before immediately thinking of safety precautions and if you've ever shown interest in thrill seeking activities like Sky Diving o(-(
when you laugh and reassure him you were joking and he doesn't have to go sky diving he sort of snaps out of his panicked daze and apologizes... sometimes he just has to be reminded that he doesn't have to force himself to be anything but himself for you to be happy :') though i would like 2 bring him to like,, a carnival at least once !!!! i'm not ecstatic over the idea of sky diving but i'm genuinely a vry big fan of . 'big scary rides' (< girl who will always go on them multiple times in a row if someone is willing to join) so. and even if he enjoys those rides he doesn't seem like a screamer which i definitely am. so sorry to him either way LOL
