i'm imagining all these yandere friends living in the same house which got me wondering.. what would their rooms look like? and does their MC live with them too
Ezra: The ever so edgy brat has an all black bedroom. His bed has a full canopy with black-out curtains and like 70 pillows. He has a drafting table and a huge bookshelf full of partially made miniatures for Eliana. Very tidy! Ezra would adore it if Sugar lived with them <3
Krow: Art. Art everywhere. It'd look more like a studio than a proper bedroom. Easels, paintings, tables with all kinds of art supplies, some work in progress sculpture being done. It may come as a surprise but he keeps it pretty tidy and organized. He would decorate it with whatever Dove decides to give him, his bed is pretty modest. But if Dove and him are in a relationship he would see to upgrade to a queen at least. :3
Ren: Constantly has the lights off and the AC going in his room, but it's purely for cooling down his laptop, 4 monitors, PC console and twin computer servers. And despite the amount of tech everywhere, his cable management is impeccable. Ren has a few horror/slasher movie posters on his wall, along with a large bed covered with a few 'Attack on Giant' plushies. If Angel wanted to live with him instead, he'd be more than willing take it all down and let them choose what decorations they'd like! ^^;
River lots of band posters and vinyl covers on the wall, random drumsticks laying about, and a bunch of workout equipment stored in a corner. River might be the messiest out of the bunch, but that's only because he forgets to make his bed every morning and bring out his empty sports drinks. he'd pass away on the spot if Bunny wanted to live with him, but he'd definitely rearrange his entire room so that it's more convenient for them and their preferences.
Eddie: A minimalistic room where the color theme is dark and basic, and everything is extremely spotless. Neat and ironed black bedsheets with grey and white fluffed pillows, dark wood and marble furnitures polished. The only personality this room has is pictures of his family on the wall and tables. It’s also extremely cold. MC would have to be in a relationship with him to move in with him and he wouldn’t mind letting them bring some stuff to personalize the room but only a corner until they can prove they’ll help clean their area.
Diva: Never has her actual light on so her room is always lit with led lights and neon signs. A huge magenta pink star shaped bed in the middle with pink ad black animal print sheets and star pillows to match (decorated with a ton of Sanrio and aquatic animal plushies)She has a gaming setup with 3 monitors and a classic pink gaming chair with the expensive gaming keyboard and mouse. Her room is usually a little messy with clothes strewn around the room and posters/photos around the walls. Diva would be ecstatic if MC wanted to live with her! But uh,,, there’s not much space for them to decorate ^^
Fone: probably something very cutesy, lots of animal plushies and fairy lights in his room so he always have his lights off. his bed is in the corner cause he's afraid of ghost and the room is big enough so that mallow has enough space for himself in the corner along with his electric guitar. he has a small table next to him that is brimmed with snacks and drinks and a shelf on top of said table filled with felt dolls he had made of his friends. it should gives you a comfy vibe... if it weren't for the 24/7 ac and mountain and mountain of unwashed clothes at the end corner of his bed smh
Illow: while they know ren can afford the ridiculous high amount of rent, they're still a very power-saving kind of person so based on the lights on their room alone you should know what they're doing. they're more goth-like with their true selves so their room is very dark, not all black like ezra but a more aesthetic pastel-muted type (think of asexual flag colors), they even have a giant kuromi plush right besides their bed. Have a few posters up on their wall, they're more for aesthetic purposes so if you asked them which potter house they belong to they won't know what you're talking about, they also have a lot of game consoles lying around, all of which are new models cause they're a collector.
Theo: His room looks… normal, pretty much. Other than, of course, his closet filled with pictures of his love… his decorations consist of movie and band posters and framed pictures of him and his friends. If his love lived with him… well, that’d be a dream come true, wouldn’t it? He’d constantly try and keep his room clean, just in case his love decided to poke their head in.

She beat his chest.
She beat his chest and he held her.
Well, as best he could with one arm. As best he could in this newfound partnership with a kid. As best he could not know what plagued her mind so much that she lashed out against him. What thoughts and memories were circulating in her mind to send a strong, wise girl into feeling such a way.
His phantom pain and loss on his right side longed to hold her back. To hold her as she deserved to be held. Had she ever been held before? His left hand only jumped between rubbing small circles down her back, tracing her spine, to threading his fingers through her blonde strands, carding the tangles out as he combed his fingers through. But it wasn’t enough.
His hand, as it was against the crown of her head, left too much empty space across her back. He wasn’t holding her at all that point; she was pushing herself into his chest, her fists balled up against it. And with a hand across her back left out, what he figured, was some degree of comfort and reassurance, purely based on the way her breathing changed every time he did.
He couldn’t give her the best of both.
But he did what he could. What, deep down, he thought was right. He’d never comforted anyone, let alone a young girl, in a long time. He hadn’t been comforted, truly comforted, or held in a long time. Like the pain in his right side, it was a sort of phantom pain. Something there was missing, but he could never get it back.
He didn’t say anything and it caught her, and, funny enough, him by surprise. He never stopped talking, they both knew that. She’d told him as much.
You talk a lot.
That I do, birdie.
Even if it was mindless information; meaningless words that meant no stretch of importance in the Black, he said it anyway. Random stories of his time on the Green, mythical tales, old partners, some phrase he picked up in his time as a scoundrel and it’s history that needed a twenty minute explanation. Everything had a place in the air between him and anyone who would listen. Or wouldn’t.
But now, in a moment of emotional vulnerability that they somehow managed to keep at bay until right now, he had nothing. Not a word to lighten the mood (and he’d thought about it, but decided against it), or a word of comfort. Though, he wasn’t exactly sure what could comfort her through something like this.
Her cries had quieted down, only small hiccups strewn across his chest and following sniffles and gasps for air. She loosened her fists against his chest, very gently fiddling with the slack of his undershirt.
He’s not Damon.
Eventually, she adjusted against him and pulled her arms away from his chest and wrapped them around his middle. She held onto her own hands around his back and settled her face more into his chest.
He’s not Damon.
He continued tracing her spine. Whenever a few more tears fell or she’d sniffle or let out a small whimper, he’d bring his arm as far around her back as he could, squeezing her tightly for a moment, eyes closed as his cheek would graze the side of her head. He’d turn into it, every time, nearly swaying them side to side to hold her as tight as he could.
How much was too much? Could he hold her as tightly as he wanted to, that he believed she deserved for all that she’s gone through?
She was a tough kid, that was for sure. He, honestly, never imagined having to do this. Having to comfort some kid who shouldn’t have been been on the green in the first place. A girl who’s father he killed. He shouldn’t be doing this.
He shouldn’t be caring. Shouldn’t be attached, if he could even call it that. Shouldn’t want to hold her tight enough to squeeze the life out of her. To reassure her and try and understand the thoughts in her head and hold them in his own. For her to lay her grievances on him so he could bare them in her place. He shouldn’t be wanting to take care of her.
Reluctantly, she pulled away slowly, reaching up to wipe at her face with her sleeve before he could see her.
Ezras hand hovered, unsure what exactly to do with it. He let it fall to his own side, hesitant to keep on her if she didn’t still want it.
She let her head hang as she pressed her sleeves to her face, trying to sniffle the congestion away that all her crying had given her.
“I’m not… mad at you,” she started, trying to compose herself in front of him despite having just cried against his chest. “There’s a lot that’s happened. Damon, the Saters, your injury, trying to get off the Green, trying to keep you alive…” she sighed, doubting he understood the weight of last frustrating few cycles and how they’d weighed on her.
She looked up shyly, anticipating a more Damon-esque reaction to her outburst. “It’s been a lot and it caught up with me and I didn’t know what to do with it. I’m sorry,” she said, looking anywhere but his eyes.
Ezra gave her a hesitant, soft smile. “That’s alright, little bird, don’t you worry a thing about it. I’m afraid I can’t be mad at you for feeling such a way after all that has transpired.”
He was not Damon.
Damon would ridicule her for feeling anything that wasn’t related to Aurelac, the Green, or survival. He’d make her push through it, refusing any comfort or reassurance, leaving Cee to fight it all on her own. He didn’t let her enjoy things or have likes. She’d tried to talk about The Streamer Girl to him, and every time he’d managed to brush her off and pay more attention to his syrettes or sleeping. He was barely kind. She was barely a person to him anymore, let alone a daughter. An extra pair of hands just so he could get some points.
But Ezra. Ezra was kind. He was soft. He wore a smile that she hadn’t seen in a long time, especially not on her own father. He indulged her likes and even said he’d like to read Streamer Girl someday. He protected her every way he knew how while also missing a limb. He trusted her. Trusted her words and trusted her capabilities.
“Say, birdie, do you plan to write some of your thoughts into that notebook? You spend quite the time in there as is-“
She laughed wetly and punched his arm, “shut up, Ezra.”
He smiled, raising his only arm surrender. “Afraid I’m not critiquing your avocations. Simply an observation.” He paused, his lips forming a tight line. “Think it’d do you well to write them down, birdie.”
He was right. She did spend a lot with her notebook. Writing, mostly. Her own small stories. Retelling Streamer Girl word for word from reading it so many times. Small sketches of what she saw on the Green or out in the Black. The interior of the ship. Ezra.
She could add journaling to the list.
Cee nodded, her eyes still red and slightly puffy as she looked up at him. “Yeah, maybe so.”
They didn’t talk much more that night, the two of them settling comfortably into the silence. Well, silence for Ezra. It was only slightly uncomfortable to him, but with the light scratch of Cee’s pen against the paper and her humming and the tapping of her foot to the tune coming in through her headphones, he managed.
They were managing. A new person, for both of them. For Ezra, a child. For Cee, a guardian. New, unforeseen circumstances to work through. Both of them having someone to care about, to fight for. And the entirety of the Black out there to explore, and they’d be doing it together.

Question No 1: Aside for being a yandere, whats your dream job/profession?
❤️ Casanova: I wanted to be a chef for the longest time, but i’m happy with my job as an organ harvester!
🕊️ Krow: I-I actually like m-my job as a f-forensics cleaner but... I-I'd love to b-be a stay at home s-spouse a-and just do a-art.
🔪 Ezra: I actually really enjoy my current job. I've had it for going on... 7 years now? Almost 8. (Interviewer: Can we ask what your job is? No? Okay. *thumbs up* bish i value my life more)
🔥 Harper: Hmm, if I had to pick any kind of job, maybe a pyrotechnic?
💐 Keith: To become a plant biologist.

🖥️ Virgil: My dream profession is to be Game Developer, I enjoy video games and I have always wanted to make a game for others to enjoy, and so that’s why I’m taking classes of game development.
🎤 Adam: I already have my dream job. Although, I did often think about becoming a vet as a kid. Sometimes I wonder how life would've turned out had I pursued that career instead of singing.

🔪 Ezra: Hmm... Anywhere with my Sugarsnap? If that's not too cheesy I suppose. But outside of that I'd like to visit Blaire's extended family in Vietnam.
🔥 Harper: I’m definitely more a big city kind of guy, so I’m pretty happy living where I am… To visit though? Hmm… Somewhere with some snowy mountains maybe, do some snowboarding, chill by a fire with some hot cocoa? Yeah, that sounds nice..

❤️ Casanova: I tend to scratch at my braces when i’m trying to focus, often i’d end up chewing on my fingers.
🕊️ Krow: Uhh.... I... bite my h-hands... a lot. It's... a comfort t-thing. S-sometimes my forearms too. I-I guess I also make the same expression a-as to what I'm d-drawing.
🔪 Ezra: When eating food like burgers or sandwiches I eat around the edge and then eat the center last. Um... I also tend to rub things with my fingertips when I don't know what to do with my hands. I'm almost always touching my nails absent-mindedly.
🔥 Harper: I have a habit of scratching my fingertips, especially when I’m nervous… Its kinda a bad habit, sometimes I scratch em a little raw.

Make stuff because it makes you happy. I make Restart Heart because I love my little passion project. I love it so much I get my nails done to match my game and spend most of the day thinking about it. I would still be making Restart Heart if no one played. Make something that you would want to make even if no one saw. Even if you were the only person in the world who loves it, make it because it brings you happiness. Ezra: He would probably get very smug towards the person that caused the problem, would be more than happy to help Sugar delete the person <33 Definitely very infatuated and actually wants to go bring you to another room afterwards to--- <3 hehe
Ren: Would honestly be very touched to know that MC cared that much about their wellbeing. He'd try to assure them that he's fine (and that it'd take a lot more than that to hurt either of them) — but not before stepping aside and watching MC let loose. Ren would definitely be looking on with a lovesick expression as he takes in the sight of his beloved unleashing all their anger and vengeance on their victim.

Hello Alex, I hope you're having a good day. I want to keep an open mind here and I'm hoping you could please explain your dislike for the oxford comma. From your other posts and prior conversations, your strong critical thinking skills are more than evident and it is a primary reason I admire you. I'm hoping that this can be a chance to understand your perspective and perhaps open my eyes to a new point of view. Thank you for your time. Best, Renu
first off, i am a little crosswired on perception of visual stuff like writing or images. chartreuse sounds like a trombone. 5 is a friendly number but 3 is an annoying sibling and 7 is ready to shank me at all times. looking at the number 7 or numbers divisible by 7 makes me skittish. my teachers literally gave up on getting me to memorize my times tables for the number. basically, sometimes i have a weirdly visceral reaction to the way some things are presented visually.
dos! a thing to know about me is that i'm extremely claustrophobic. if it's less than 4 floors, i will walk up those stairs. i've walked up more than that if the elevator looked too small.
So: punctuation is maybe a bit more emotional and personal to me like it's not nuts and bolts it's about Feelings. the em dash is cuddly and the semi-colon is friendly and the comma is a warm hand on your shoulder. however! if someone puts a hand on your shoulder too many times maybe you get uncomfy! maybe it triggers my claustrophobia to see all these letters and words TRAPPED by hands and held in place. WHERE IS THE EMERGENCY EXIT. MAYBE I WILL TRIP OVER A COMMA SOMEONE LEFT IN THE WAY AND BURN TO DEATH.
THREE. i was left unsupervised with david foster wallace's non-fiction essays while in elementary school. nothing makes you want to break the english language like reading DFW while you're also learning how to write a five paragraph essay.
when a teacher fiiiiiinally told us we could stop doing five paragraph format essays i was in heaven.... i still got docked a lot of points for things like "run on sentences" and "overuse of semi-colons" but i was FREE to write one sentence paragraphs to punctuate my thoughts.
F O U R TH... i grew up reading the nytimes which meant also reading the nytimes style guide bc i was a little weirdo and they say not to use an oxford comma. literally i was in middle school and loved reading william safire's 'on language' column.
