So the members of the discord at @bfpnola were explaining to me why BASL (Black American Sign Language) is a separate language than ASL (American Sign Language) because I was wondering if it was for a similar reason as AAVE (African American Vernacular English).

Fun fact. It's because of segregation. So when Sign Language in America was being taught. The schools were segregated, so they each dealt with deaf accommodations in their own way. White schools were taking a more integration approach so they highly frowned on the use of Sign and they were trying to get deaf kids to practice speaking.

However, Black schools were more opening to the use of Sign, so they had a lot longer to develop their Sign Language than White schools, as they were encouraging Sign at a time when white schools weren't.

Okay, okay...hear me out. 👐🏿 I didn't completely hate it when I first saw the photos. I think because I liked the fact that it's a new, edgier look for him. But the more photos I saw it did slowly become a "yikes 😬" situation. You know Pascale wasn't the one to give her baby a fade, and who ever did probably inhaled so sharp when they realized they went too short on the sides, and tried to fix it but failed miserably.

But leave my baby alone! 😂😭 He just wanted to try a little sumthin different, that's all 🥺

It was a sad moment because I was going absolutely feral for long hair Charles, and his hair in Monza was my Roman Empire🐶

•they know its their bday but tim????being THIS happy????unheard of, their brother had to b replaced by aliens

•they eat slowly cause theyre still cautious and think tim is about to deliver news but NOPE breakfast is goin swell, they WERE gonna leave and head to school but tim had 2 (two) surprises for them

• 1) he has jewlery for em, a ring for curly and a necklace for angela 2) they aint goin to school today YEAAA

•now curly and angela dont rlly get jewelry, the ones they already have is like ones their parents gave em and they never rlly got new ones, and curly and angel already skip school but like its RARE tims the one to not let them go voluntarily

•they jewelry could either b bought or handed down to em from tim bc he was an only child for 3 years so his parents did just buy shit only for him at some point in time

•anywho, nothing too eventful rlly happens until the actual celebration of their bday, curly and angela is just chillin but kinda wondering wtf got i to tims drink or food for him to b actin THIS jolly

•tims just down stairs settin up the balloons, the cake, his card, man hes just rlly happy to have his lil siblings man, he basically raised them and is glad they came this far

•at some point he DID pour them some champagne since idk bout yall but drinking a LIL bit is common for caribbean kids during celebrations i would know😭😭

•also its the first time in a while curly and angela actually saw tim smiling, usually he has a smirking kinda smile but today hes like SMILING smiling, a lil weird to see but it actually rubbed off on curly and angela a lil bit

•generally speaking the rest of the bday was just, a regular bc day, well regular for us but for curly and angela it was a special bday cause they never celebrated it like that

•maybe when tims 20 or 19 curly and angela try making tim his own bday party

Hey, hey y'all 👐🏿👐🏿 I meant to post this on November 27th, but my mom ended up having to go to the ER, and I ended up getting swept up and forgot about posting.

So, this months post will contain two months worth of information.

Clerical Update

Sooo... my laptop broke and I was out of commission for a LOOONNGG time. But its finally fixed, so ya girl is doing a little dance 💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿.

I've been fiddling with Twine, and I think I FINALLY fixed the theme 🥴🥴 see 👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿

Of course, I have to fix the color scheme and figure out how to make the mobile UI setting box reflect the theme, but overall I feel like I'm moving in the semi-right direction? The one thing that is getting on my nerves so badly is the Theme! Like it feels so.... bland to me 😤😤!

What I wanted to do, was to have a little logo in the corner of the background for each theme. For example, Hunger Persists would have had some sort of serpent and a blood moon in the logo. I've been using HiEv's code + method of inputting images (and audio 👀👀) but for some reason it's not working??? This thing has been giving me a headache like no one's business. So, after I ran into this roadblock, I quit 😅😂.

Progress Update

Search and Destroy (Mark Route): 1%

To be Well (Alex’s Route): 39%

Intermission (TBA): 3%

I've officially reached 51k+ words 🎉🎉!!

I realized that most of the word count is stemming from the different choices that y'all can make. Alongside the different options based on personality/backgrounds.

I would say that I've gotten around 65% of the bones of Alex's route done. Once I get that done, I'll plump and fatten the rest of the route out. Mark's route will, hopefully, be easier to write since some scenes in Alex's route will be in Mark's (not the same content but similar enough so that I won't have to go too crazy with writing).

Hopefully next month, I can show you guys a lil sneak peek of the update 🤞🏿🤞🏿but we shall see.

I'm writing out the first spicy "read pentrative" sex scene between MC and Khalid, and as of now? I hate it 🥴🥴🥴 I have to keep reminding myself that it's just my first draft. It's gonna be ugly but I gotta keep going!

Next Month's Goal

Finish the Bones of Alex's route

Take a week break - I'm tired y'all, the burnout is real! 🥴🥴

Fix the Mobile UI and get those damn images to show up! Also fix the mp3 audio for the game.
