We shall meet again, under Kakava's shimmering auroras...
"Do stay alive"? Mmm... well, who am I to even dare defying the doctor's orders~?
Kakavasha had been fated to die, ever since he was born on the day of one of the very sparse rains in Sigonia-IV. Blessed with Gaiathra's rain, a lucky child, they said-- and in the end, it was luck of the double-edged sword.
Aventurine, the Stoneheart of Stratagems, had indeed been lucky enough to still be standing after all that he'd been through-- but why has he lived time and time again? Should he not be grateful? And yet he found he never was; for Kakavasha wished to die. Why should he live only to endure more suffering when he could finally find eternal peace?
And when that fated day finally came-- his grand bet, his all in, his final gambit, the most wondrous of performances-- he found himself here.
Not alive, yet not dead, having long since parted with his past self, standing alone in a void of Nihility clutching only the scroll Dr. Veritas Ratio had given him. That Galaxy Ranger had told him that this fated incident was not his end-- that he would live to bet even higher than before. A saving grace, truly-- an angel in the skin of an Emanator.
Maybe this darkness was beautiful, he thought. The stars twinkling in the dark almost reminded him of home; a dimly sparkling reminder that he would see the dawn after all, that there would finally be light waiting for him.
And so he waited, preparing for the day of his rebirth. He would chase his dawn in the form of the golden and crimson-hued irises of the man who has always had his heart, take back his name and avenge the legacy of all Avgins, and see to the destruction of the IPC once and for all.

This Aventurine is canon divergent, simply an idea of what happens to him if and when he survives the Nihility void :)
My Aven takes back his true name and turns to the path of Nihility, and finds his way out in about a year or so after his disappearance. He's finally free from the IPC as they believe him to be dead and Jade has taken his place as the Stoneheart of Preservation, and his goal is to bring the IPC's shady secrets to light and bring the whole organization crashing down.
He still fights with his dice and poker chips, although losing the ability to shield because of his path diversion and instead casting ace cards onto enemies.

Who, me? Call me Aventurine of Stratagems~
Go ahead, use me as you wish, even stab me in the back when you see fit. Exploitation and treachery are simply tools of the trade. But remember, I don't make deals that don't pay off... So, I hope you don't disappoint me.
Life is a gamble, but if you play your cards right... you might just win. I could teach you a few tricks, if you'd let me.
I work for the Interastral Peace Corporation-- I manage the Strategic Investment Department, but I always have time for a game and a drink or two. Maybe you should take me out sometime~
I've been called pretty many, many times, much like the stone I share my name with. I suppose it's true, I do seem to be blessed with good looks... but aventurine stones also have a sharp edge, and that's something you'd be better off remembering.
I'm not afraid to place bets on things that I want, and you'll often find that when I bet on something, I'm not usually wrong. Blessed by luck, blessed by fate-- I've heard it all, but I like to think that in someway, this skill, these wins, are all mine because I've earned them.
After all, life is just one grand bet, and I'll always be the final victor.

ooc; I had a moment today. While in a supermarket, I was looking at the Halloween section and it's full of TNBC merch.
It made me very emotional because, as a kid, there was nothing I wanted more than to see even a hint of something with Jack Skellington's face on. I always felt like an outcast because TNBC was my favourite movie and it was extremely hard to find merchandise (I used to go to Camden Market because it was the only place you could get bootleg stuff).
Being able to just walk into my local supermarket and find all these things is just...really nice? Without sounding cliche, it feels like it's healing my inner child.

📱- ooc; Remember when I used to be active over here? Yeah, me too...
I've been going back and forth on whether or not to write this post for weeks now...but I feel I should.
Some of you will know that I went to Canada for my brother's wedding this summer. Well, after the wedding, my brother moved out there with his wife. He had no house, no car, no job prospects and only a few of his belongings. Why? No idea. He still won't give much of an answer beyond: "If not now, when?". Added to that, on the day he left for the airport (with my now sister-in-law) we expected to bid them farewell in their empty flat...only, their flat wasn't empty. Their furniture was still there, they still had food in the fridge freezer, cosmetics, cleaning products and boxes in the cupboards and so much more. It then fell on my family's shoulders to deal with what was left behind, bearing in mind that the flat had already been sold at this point and we had no idea how long the sale would take to complete. Four months later, we have just finished clearing it and the sale has just this week completed.
What has this got to do with writing? Well, I've always been very close to my family...and him leaving has taken a huge toll on my parents, my other brother, my younger niece...and me, too. As a result of this huge, emotional change, my writing inspiration has flip-flopped between tonnes and nothing, and it's also been my coping mechanism. If I bury myself in the daydreams long enough, I can forget about everything else.
But...I've been struggling a lot lately. Added on top of that drama, the funding at work has been significantly impacted by the economic crisis and it's had repercussions across the board. At this point in time, I've been told that the administrative work I do on a Monday will no longer be viable as of next month. The rest of my work? As of this moment, I have no idea.
I've had two pretty severe panic attacks over the past couple of weeks. I didn't mention these at the time because it seemed pointless once I'd sorted myself out and got my head around things, plus I didn't want to worry anyone because I care very much about you guys over here.
I'm trying very hard to find my feet in writing over here again. The dash has mostly been very quiet and I've been roleplaying over on D.isco.rd more often lately which has taken up most of my time. Sometimes, I feel a bit irrelevant over here and I know that's probably untrue but my head is already scrambled so much that it's hard to break out it.
It's my birthday next week and I've booked a few days off, so hopefully I can have some fun and relax a bit during that time.
TL;DR: Mun has been through a lot of IRL emotional drama lately which has impacted her mental health and activity.

AMY AND OOGIE’S CANADIAN ADVENTURE
Hey guys!
For the first time in this blog’s history, I am leaving the country this summer. For two weeks, starting the 29th July, I will be in Canada for my older brother’s wedding.
I have absolutely no idea what the internet availability is going to be like where I’m staying, but I will be taking my phone to occasionally lurk between here and Disco in my downtime if I can manage it. Otherwise, I will be returning home on 12th August.
So, consider this somewhat of a hiatus until I return from across the pond! I have set up a queue for the two weeks, including any replies I owe and a few other bits and pieces.
