🎫 Drillburst!

Drillburst is a major theater kid at heart, he loves prewar musicals and has a stash of old recordings that he used to watch between Merc missions. After the war, he’s hoping that the theater scene can boom again and bring back all of the musicals he loves. His favorites are:

Blue-On Kaon, an award-winning golden age romance story about star-crossed love between a high caste and lower caste cybertronian, which Drill regards as having the best soundtrack of any musical.

The Bygoner’s Club, a campy found family narrative about a group of misfits banding together and traveling the changing world in search of a new home. It’s a very feel-good musical that Drill often does covers of because of how happy the songs are.

Superdazzle Cafe The Musical: an adaptation of a golden age dramedy show about a pair of minibots revitalizing their old and unpopular cafe into a talk of the town sensation. It’s not the best musical out there, but Drill’s a fan of the show and so he likes it a lot.

Roommates Beyond The Fringe, a space comedy about a cocky athlete and a stoic police officer getting marooned on the other side of space, and having to find their way home while dodging space pirates and the space mafia. It’s Drill’s all time favorite musical, and he doesn’t care if it doesn’t get the spotlight it deserves because of how weird it is! It’s a good musical with good songs! Ask him about it and he will ramble, and he’ll ramble some more about how the direct-to-TV sequel was mediocre and deserves a remake.

The pattern is that he’s into a lot of happy, feel-good success stories or comedies, with sadder serious musicals not being as exciting to him. He has a wide taste in them, but only a few favorites. He’s wondering if he can be a songwriter someday so he can get into the musical business…

Also as a funny side bonus, I like to think that fellow theater kid and sworn nemesis Overlord is also into similar/the same musicals he is so it would be an absolute nightmare realization for Drillburst if they ever had to share the aux cord.

I'm sooo excited for my second anniversary with Rex coming up!! (On Feb the 28th) I'm not used to having f/os be this consistent! Not that I didn't love my f/os a lot before, but my fixations were always changing. Well, my hyperfixation on Star Wars is always going strong, and so is my love for Rex! My number one husband forever 🥺💙💙

He still makes my heart squeeze whenever I see him, his voice still gives me the warm fuzzies in my chest, and thinking about the journey with him makes me soo happy!!

currently working on: So many art projects! 😂 The two big ones right now are:

Knitting my first sweater! folklore cardigan (nearing the end, but picking up stitches for the collar/button band is taking a tedious amount of time!)…

…and sewing (& stamping with my hand carved stamp) a couple dozen reversible coffee cozies as gifts for church friends! 🍁🍂

It depends! The ones that I've actually put some effort into developing may have tons (YMMV). RP is probably the most efficient lore-building method, so the ones I've RP'd as will have more lore than ones I haven't. By extension this means the unnamed ones are way less developed.

🎫 - free pass! tell a fun self ship lore fact or just talk about anything of it that comes to mind.

Well since I'm currently working on the new star wars SI I'm gonna share my silly naming scheme. Basically I grabbed all known Firrerreo names and then I mangled them to look more Finnish because, hrm, well, y'know how Teräs Käsi is literally Finnish words (steel hand), and since Teräs Käsi was developed on Bunduki I'm making the executive decision that the Bunduki language is similar to Finnish and Bunduki incidentially happens to be sort of close to Firrerre so I'm also making the executive decision that there are now some Firrerreo on Bunduki and my sona is one of them. Anyway. The best looking names, I left out ones I didn't like even mangled:

Sisseri - fine as-is Hethrir - Hedri, Hetri, Herri, Heyri, Heri Quire - Kuire Rillao - technically fine as-is but a bit too recognizable imo Tantos - Tantto Tigris - Tikri, Tikla

I'll poke at these and squeeze together a name I dig :')

The writing is clever, playful, and charming. Add in a bit of a violent edge, and it's the KC you know and love––in a setting you’ve never read before.

Fan Club : Honestgrins approached a classic 90s film, filled it with even more heart, and made it Klaroline. This story takes enemies to lovers and makes it wholesome yet addictive. A must read!

went to barnes and noble yesterday and had the silliest little experience of seeing a sign over a table filled with mandalorian memorabilia that read “everyone’s favorite daddy is back at it again” 10/10 experience would love to see it again

🎫 Starbright???👀

Starbright!!

Since she’s selective mute, the only way she talks to you is if she’s warmed up to you considerably, or if you’re someone with the same interests as her, such as dance or food. Loud noises scare her easily, so it’s best to talk to her with a soft voice. This was true even during the war, so she wasn’t particularly seen as a strong or capable star seeker. Because of this, she usually spent her time alone, and rarely interacted with anyone.

She’s still a really sweet bot though, and if she warms up to you, she really warms up to you. She’s just shy and nervous, and would rather stay in her comfort zone than try anything new or daring. Her frame was built to fight, but her spark wasn’t.

I’ve been playing with the idea that she’s an outlier, but she doesn’t know it. Whenever she dances, she emits a special healing field that alleviates all pain, and might even repair cybertronians altogether (she might be wanted by a couple interested parties because of this…). I wouldn’t say it’s canon just yet, but it would be cool if her dancing has some magical property… we’ll see

Perhaps her dancing is also hypnotic... literally. If a victim is entranced by her form, then they may be susceptible to whatever brainwashing they may receive. An antagonistic party will force a poor soul to watch Starbright perform, and they whisper ever so slightly: "Remain calm. Focus on the dancer."

i want to hurt her :) i want her to fall into some dark stuff but i dont know what specifically yet. Right now she and her power end up (temporarily at least) as a tool someone uses to get what they want. Willingly? Well...
