Raccoon dog Tanjiro who steps into the territory of a very sneaky fox. His parents always reminding him to never go far inside the forest, because there lurks beings that is stronger....and sly.

Tanjiro who didn't realize he entered an shrine, that houses a kitsune that is hungry. Maybe little Tanjiro should have listened to his parents warnings, but all those concerns slipped his mind...

With the way how this kitsune gently touches him, but has such a possessive feeling. The way how the kitsune carefully bites him, claiming the trembling raccoon dog underneath them.

So tender and gentle, yet so painfully close. The way it promises it to take care of him, to make sure he carries their puppies and to keep the bad monsters away from him and their puppies.

Now I wouldn't say it's necessarily a worshipper Tanjiro. (But it does have implied yandere as how devoted Tanjiro develops slowly through out his youth to their little mischievous god < 33 )

The family isn't "devoted" to their god, but they make occasional offerings and small thanks you to the fox statue in front of their door.

Young Tanjiro who asked once about why don't they devote more to the fox in their doorstep. Tanjiro who learns that their God is kind and understanding, that God had ask them to not waste such precious food and only worship if should they ever need it.

Tanjiro, who learned, that the God seems to enjoy a bowl of rice and dumplings <33. Of course Tanjiro pouted and gently scolded at the statue that it's not nice to steal food that wasn't near it's statue in the first place, he could have sworn he heard a distant laughter but shook it off as the wind.

Tanjiro who felt sad at the poor state the statue was in, almost crumbling to dust. Determined, Tanjiro learned what he could to perfectly carve a new statue for the God and he couldn't help but feel as if the new statue was actually looking at him with adoration and happiness. Maybe he was just tired after working on it for so long, but ...he couldn't help but feel proud.

Tanjiro who leaves a bit more offerings to the statue, offering small pieces of his food. Tanjiro's small moment of surprise when he saw a white fox underneath the fox statue. He couldn't help but feel as if this fox....was different, the way it watched him and responded to him as if it knew what he was saying....

The way the fox often returns with meat in its mouth, helping Tanjiro not always descend down the mountain to make sure everyone has their fill <33. Tanjiro leaves an bowl of tofu and definitely was met with an alarming mount of flowers in his bed.

but you don't have worshippers — this contradicts the whole concept that you have created for those who are looking for your help and support. people are independent, — just like you, — without being tied down and caring about what you will do or think about their actions. but whenever he worships you, an almost electric current runs through your body. and the longer he lives, the stronger the feeling, as if every year he only becomes stronger in his admiration and worship.

and you don't know if it scares you or makes you excited.

it's nice — but it contradicts what you taught your people. you protect them and give them, because that's what a defender should do — but they are independent in everything else; they think about their survival, you only help.

this is just a smol brainrot of like modern Tanjirou and his whole bakery.

*Tanjirou visiting a lil old shrine that is a fox (kitsune) statue. He prays for good luck and success for his business and his family health. (Some [mostly white] kitsunes are symbols of good luck and ward of evil and serve as guardian spirits)

*Next day, Tanjiro is returning back to the bakery and there is a fox! :0 Tanjiro a lil confused, but considering how the fox "mimics" his confused looks. He probably picks up that this fox must be a sign of good luck and protect! Leaves good meals for the Lil fox <3

*Eventually Tanjirou talks about his day, his family, etc to the Lil fox and it feels as if they get closer each day until one day, instead of the fox at front door. It's a person! Yet Tanjiro feels as if he knows them already and at this point he just "yeah, this is someone I wanna spend my life with!" And not like kitsune reader disagrees!

*Kitsune reader loves Tanjirou, they just need proper waiting and understanding what humans do to court <33 and soon breed him- tho kitsune reader will ask themselves if it's possible for humans to be bred-

Tanjirou did not consider himself either religious or non-religious, but still feels the need to come to the old temple and ask the Fox Deity for the blessing of his new life.

Tanjirou, whose family in the past was a family of priests for many centuries, but with the advent of a new era, they began to engage in entrepreneurship like bakeries and pastry shops (bonus points if foxes were used as a mascot or the names of products included a fox theme). And even if these are some echoes of the memory of his ancestors about the times when they asked for help from the deity for any undertaking, or just remnants of religious beliefs like most people, — Nezuko knows more about this than he does, — but Tanjirou feels that something wonderful will happen soon. The bakery will definitely be thriving, but looking at the stars out the window, Tanjirou somehow feels that they shine even brighter today, as if drawing someone a path... to him? Could it be that someone who will become a member of his family in the future is now looking at the stars as well, thinking about him?

Even if Nezuko would pinch his cheek for such thoughts, giggling, Tanjirou can't help but feel happy because of the thought that maybe he doesn't think; maybe something else happy will happen besides the bakery. Maybe, just maybe, he'll get lucky somewhere else.

"If the stars are shining, then someone needs it", so... can't he be that 'somebody' He's never had a romantic experience, and he's not even sure who exactly he might like — or who he would get along with best romantically and sexually, but Tanjirou is sure that this is a good person. If his "true love" exists somewhere in the world, then what difference does it make who they are as long as they are good, right?

But after a day nothing happens. And even two days later. And even after a week. The bakery is being opened — it's not the most popular yet, but customers who are uncomfortable driving to the shops or to the first Kamado bakery are happy to shop here. And although it's a little hard to work alone, but Tanjirou is used to hard work and has enough money to allow himself to develop slowly. His parents opened a bakery together, so it was more convenient for them, but Tanjirou does not have the strength and desire to go look for a partner or go on blind dates — or ask friends to look for a good match for him.

But after a month and two days, he meets a beautiful fox from the forest. And although this is not the first time he sees a fox, something about them makes him hold his breath, as if he is bewitched by their very presence. And although they don't run away from him, — on the contrary, they rub against his legs like a big, wild cat — Tanjirou can't help but think that this was probably the exciting event he was waiting for. And when the lump of anxiety fits in his stomach again, he can only take a deep breath, looking for at least something resembling his friend.

Maybe it's a little silly to expect a wild fox to come to him again, as if they have become his pet, but the worry that something could happen to them does not leave him. Even a plate of meat in their place remains untouched — neither by other foxes, nor by birds, nor by insects.

And this only increases his anxiety and loneliness even more.

When the first snow comes, more than a month has passed since the last arrival of the fox, and Tanjirou lives in excitement again; even in the morning he seems to get up only to find out if this incomprehensible, but definitely exciting event will happen today. he freezes in place instead of greeting.

Maybe it's just his desperation before meeting someone, or he really has already seen you somewhere, but looking at such a familiar unfamiliar face, Tanjirou is relieved for some reason.

It was as if all this: a trip to the temple, and a meeting with the fox, and waiting until late at night, and daily work with clients, and an incomprehensible excitement that stirred his heart — all this was created only for this magical moment.

And for some reason his heart is beating faster and he can't look away.

Or when you carefully put them next to you, purring, and Tanjirou feels himself relaxing, hearing you. It's just that something in you inspires such calmness that he is sure that everything will be fine, and when the puppies sleepily lay down next to each other again / the eggs stop staggering, hearing your voice, Tanjirou feels his heart melt. Kagaya just being so interested in Kitsune Reader. Questions that run through his mind about how does it work, what powers does Reader have, etc. He's so interested, that he decided to personally meet this Kitsune Reader in person.

Kitsune Reader who feels a major threat from Kagaya, but with the soothing voice and how gentle Kagaya is. They can't help but not see him as a threat, even though Tanjiro and their instincts scream at them to not trust Kagaya.

Or maybe Kitsune Reader who'd be willing to follow Kagaya, in return that Tanjiro and Nezuko will be safe and far from any threats.

You only realize you're trapped when you take a second bite.

Kagaya still smiles tenderly, even if you bite his skin until it bleeds, not allowing the wound to heal with saliva. When he lightly strokes your hair without saying anything, for some reason you feel bitter.

His blood has no effect on your body.

But it still turned out to be a great way to get you to stay close.

Listen, listen, but Kagaya, whose body is still fragile and delicate in appearance, almost painful? The body of any demon acquires, as a rule, a healthy appearance — but his body, despite the clothes, only looks even weaker, as if his outfit was created to emphasize this.

oh, your puppies are growing so fast and with that comes a big problem, teething. Tanjiro is so surprised to see so many things bitten, how can these little foxes and raccoons do so much damage? Now he will have to ask his partner to buy new furniture and new teething toys.

awww,,, the cubs are so restless, even raccoon dogs, but Tanjirou is used to the fact that they are little hurricanes who like to make a mess — perhaps, that is why he does not immediately pay attention to the fact that more deep bite marks appeared on the toys.

Puppies are starting to get more involved in tug-of-war, more willing to gnaw meat and now cling to their favorite things with their teeth, but this is normal — in the end, the cubs of predators should be strong. Maybe it's the shedding during the summer that gets hard, fur is everywhere. Oh dear, Kitsune Reader isn't going to be pleased with all the constant showering and grooming to not make a mess èwè Kitsune Reader is on the run now, but doesn't help when Kagaya is a master of moving anyone with his smooth and gentle talking.

Tanjiro with his puppy eyes and growing strength, due to being a demon slayer, and simply Nezuko whose just too adorable to be resisted <33

Kitsune Reader is definitely in a locked situation, no where to run- Definitely makes those loud fox noises at night as punishment for those constant showers

Bet you'd be surprised but I'm also a fan of Kagaya, not sure why... I definitely bet Kitsune Reader enjoys interacting with him! They find him very soothing and very wise, they can't help but understand why the Demon Slayers respect him as their leader.

Definitely better than Muzan, whose name paralyzes his own followers. Kitsune Reader probably leaves flowers in Kagaya's hair when he isn't paying attention, or maybe plays with his children for a bit and asking some questions about what they know. Kitsune Reader finds him relaxing and often escapes from Tanjiro and his friends for a little awhile to take a break and relax.

No one dares asks why there is a fox with many tails on Kagaya's lap. Nor will anyone ask why Kagaya doesn't seem to mind and is carefully brushing the fur of this strange fox.
