Katherine was lacking the kind of outfit she would normally wear to a party like this, but one couldn’t be fussy when they came back from the dead. The event was hard to ignore as people seemed to be piling into the old building, though the ‘M’ carved into it’s walls did have her pausing. Even just for a moment, but when someone look at her, she flashed a smile. “So what are we celebrating?”

What about the plans we made?

Nadia spent 500 years looking for her mother.. wondering what she was going to be like, if she still remembered her.. at some points she probably wondered if she was still alive.

She would have made up so many scenarios to help get her through, and just to imagine what having a mother would be like, and whether Katherine would live up to the expectation.

They were taken from each other too soon, both times.

And upon finding Katherine, there was a lot of feelings, but Nadia finally had her mama.. and Katherine had her daughter.. the one she lost, something that had drastically affected her and who she become.

They didn’t get to have the best relationship, but given time they could have become a power duo.. they met at a time where Katherine was in trouble and despite her not being too kind to Nadia to begin with, Nadia steps up for her, Katherine would have recognised that, and she did.

Nadia wasn’t there to punish Katherine.. she was there for the mother she so longed for in her own 500 years of running and upon passing to the other side, I fully believe Nadia thought when katherine gave up Elenas body, Katherine would be with her again on the other side and that’s why Nadia didn’t try to fight her own death.

She thought her and her mother could be at peace together at last.. but of course, she couldn’t even have that.

katherine stared at malee with an intense gaze, her eyes sparkling with a combination of determination and worry. she knew that when someone like malee started a conversation that way, it usually meant trouble. however, katherine was used to navigating troubled waters and was ready to take on whatever came her way.

because if there was something that katherine hated, it was when people would go against what she had planned. even though she was one to never back down, even when her plan sucked, ( something she would never admit to the gang or friends and enemies of them, ) though, she was pretty good at manipulting her way around, she has to admit that she didn't have time to think about something solid to do today.

the old ways will have to do. she thought to herself as she straightened her posture slightly, ready to listen carefully to what malee had to say. “ i’m ready to hear the truth, ” she said in a calm but firm voice. “ whatever happens, we will face it together. ” her words were laced with confidence, although inside she felt a shiver of apprehension. for katherine, every challenge was an opportunity to shine, and she was determined not to let this situation be any different.
