Sub verse of Verse: Human Katherine and heavily affiliated with @multi-royalty -
Katherine is living with Caroline at the whitmore dorms and laying low while trapped in the mortal predicament that she is in. Caroline flip flops between wanting to ring her neck and wanting to help her relearn how to be a human and trust people, relearn how to rely on someone else.
Katherine is still a brat, but she is slowly learning- very slowly.
Most of her time is spent in the dorm room unless Caroline has ok'd it that Elena isn't around to cause conflict in being spotted at x time and place. While on campus Katherine is pretending to be Elena to make everything a lot more simple. She even helps Caroline with some side projects like interrogating shitty scientist teachers.

Jenna was under no illusion that she could make all of their pain go away - she was still trying to deal with her own.
"supressing the pain will only make it come back worse" and then how could he pretend? there were worse things out there than alcohol, and Jenna wanted to ensure all three of them stayed away it. "it's going to hurt.. I know it hurts, and it will take a long time to fathom how things might actually be okay, you're adjusting to changes everyday, but this? it's not going to help you"

the middle gilbert child knew that his aunt was right and that he, jeremy and elena were distracting themselves. giving them all an escape from their thoughts for a little while. "i can't even tell you how i feel, aunt jay. it's like everything and nothing at once," he explained and it was the first time he'd admitted it aloud since the death of his parents. "sometimes i just want to feel nothing at all. pretend for five seconds that nothing even changed."

────── Birdie startled at the voice of who she assumed was the horses owner, being crept up on usually didn't cause her to react well - but in the woods , out in the open things felt a little more free. She wasn't trapped in by four walls, and she'd been the one to approach on the animal.
"I can?" Birdie finally spoke, a thrill of excitement ran through her "that's exceptionally kind of you - I'd like to - if you're sure she won't mind a stranger". Birdie wondered at times if other animals could sense her wolf gene ? (that's what she calls it). Since triggering it herself, the blonde felt a stronger connection to other animals as time passed by, it was like she was understanding them at first glance.
Noticing the hand reached out , the blonde furrowed her brow, "am I supposed to take your hand?"

I sat down about 5 hours ago to start cracking through replies - I managed to get 2 done before a family matter occurred and I was dragged away, to which I have only just gotten back to my room at almost 1am. Writing for today is unfortunately out the window (which is a shame as I had a lot of muse when I first signed on). However now I have a headache and just want to chill out before I go to bed. Hopefully tomorrow I can crack down and get some things queued.
That being said 95% of things will be going into the queue until I can get my drafts straightened out and be back on top of things as having more than 10 is actually a lot for me at once as I'm usually very good at organising that shit lol
Some kind vibes wouldn't go a miss at the moment - I hope everyone else managed to have a nice weekend !

────── Norway. His mother had spoken of the place only once , but questions on the unknown place had been forbidden. Esther had insisted that she'd slipped her tongue but the recalling of the word now had Elijah wondering what his mother had meant.
"i'm glad that you're well prepared for the ghast, furs should get you thorugh. The town comes together offering fire wood through the darkest months". Elijah admired the community his town had, however talking to Tatia only left him wondering what else was out there - other worlds he'd never get to explore?
Elijah was certain @touchedbydestiny would be a mother her daughter would be proud of, Tatia was self sufficiant in many ways and deserved to be recognised for those efforts. "was there anything else my mother had offered to show you? while we're away from the town it'd be my pleasure to offer the hand"
elijah confirmed what she already assumed. the climatic conditions were nothing new in comparison to where she originated from, even if tatia had hoped that it might be easier. back home, she had a community and support, but not here. at least not in a way that she's comfortable asking for help. even in winter, you would need meat and fish and it was of course the best if you hunted it yourself, especially when it came to the fish. tatia has never been fishing, and did not know if there was a place nearby where you could fish. some things were more difficult to organize without a husband. but tatia would manage it somehow.
"winters in norway are very cold and yes, they can also be quite rich in snow. there are even some places up north that are without sunlight for two moon periods." somehow tatia thought that this place here was farther south than norway. the intensity of the sun is different. "we have furs that keep us warm during that period. is it here as cold as furs are required?", tatia questioned because she had brought plenty of furs with them – there's always a use to them.
"i hope so..." she said softly "that's what every parent hopes for." it is what tatia hoped for as she wanted to have a good connection with her daughter. || @multi-royalty
