Hello all! I am Cryptid/Sam, I use they/he/she pronouns (pretty much any pronouns)!

My main Warriors blog is @cryptidclaw which is also where Whisperingclan started!

Whisperingclan started out with me posting a line up of designs for the whole clan at the end of year 1 + descriptions for the clan and the cat's backstories! This was inspired by the youtube trend of doing something similar but in video format.

After this however I fell in love with the clan and wanted to join in with everyone else doing moon-ly updates for their clans! originally I was just posting the updates on my main wc blog @cryptidclaw but I have decided to move Whisperingclan over to their own blog!

Clan Origins + Gameplay Summaries below!

~~Origins~~

Most of Whisperingclan's founders were a part of a coup in their origin clan, Roaringclan, to make Tempeststar, at the time Tempestwhorl, deputy or leader... they were instead defeated and banished.

The founders had wandered together through the territories outside of the clans picking up a few members along the way... as they drew nearer to the mountains they began to hear strange whispers on the wind. feeling compelled to follow these whispers they found themselves in a cave deep in the mountains filled with crystals that seemed to whisper with a chorus of their Starclan ancestors.

That night they slept in the cave, and in her dreams Tempeststar was named a leader of a new clan, Whisperingclan, by Starclan themselves. The new clan now calls themself the clan closest to Starclan, and they have made their camp within the Whispering Cave claiming that they are its protectors and the only cats who can be trusted with it's power.

However... Is the Whispering Cave truly safe? can Starclan and their guide be trusted? Is the clan truly so holy? or are they simply greedy for power.

Gameplay:

Playing on: Expanded Mode

Unmated cats can have kits

Same-sex breeding is on!

Leaders do not automatically chose their deputies

Experience-based graduation allowed

Cats can retire due to permanent condition (for now)

Warriors and elders can choose to become mediators

Occasionally I will do death rolls! (i do this whenever I feel like it- mostly for the plot)

How death rolls work:

Kits, Elders and the sick are close to the death and the Stars as they are weak. Due to this their spirits have the chance to accidentally travel to Starclan too early due to the thin veil between the living and the dead in the Whispering cave.

If i decide that the clan is getting too big I may roll for a chosen selection of cats, to see which of whom will die.

I will mostly use it to weed out some kits if there are too many babies.

Hello, from the One Direction Big Bang, Round 7!

This year, our fic fest is running from Autumn 2023 to Spring 2024! We're so excited to be back for another year, and wanted to take a moment to explain what exactly a Big Bang is!

There's a whole Fanlore wiki you can read about the history of Big Bangs, but to quote their intro paragraph:

A Big Bang (or "Bang" for short) is a specific type of challenge usually involving long fics and accompanying artwork. This type of challenge is a reprise of the old zine tradition of collaboration between artists and writers for internet fandoms.

The original Big Bang took place in 2005 in the Drarry fandom, but Big Bangs can be found in so many fandoms (I started counting to say if it was tens or hundreds, but I lost track and gave up). It's truly a wonderful and multi-fandom-wide thing.

Fandom to fandom it varies how long they consider Big Bang fics should be, usually somewhere between 10k and 50k, and here at 1DBB we ask for a minimum of 25k. Over the years, we've seen amazing art created to accompany the fics, from digital and traditional illustration, to collages and abstract art, to manips and trailers.

If you would like to take a look through the treasure trove of previous Big Bangs, the master collection for the last seven rounds is located at New One Direction Big Bang on ao3. There are also five previous rounds hosted by a different collection of mods who retired, and that can be found at 1D Big Bang on ao3.

heyo, enchant over here! i’m a writer, who writes original stuff and fanfics! it’s been a long while since my previous re-intro, and i decided for a new one. just the same basics, just a new post.^^

i’m a hybrid sort of writeblr and a semi-fandom blog. however, i tag appropiately as much as possible. whether it’s salty or positive. i try writing as much as i can! yet i also take breaks when necessary. my motto in general about storytelling is: write what you want to read. and i write any concept stuck in my mind.

my main fandoms are adaptations of marvel comics and dc comics. a big fan of characters, who don’t get enough appreciation (whether from fandom or canon). i love canon divergence and AUs bc it gives me more freedom. i enjoy them yet i’m also aware of their problems especially with the former.

top-tier tropes to me are: chaotic found family, enemies to friends to lovers, subverted expectations, reluctant allies to best friends to lovers, exhausted™ protagonists, strong friendships, find recovery after all the pain, morally grey characters, and self-discovery.^^

i have some active original stories, which are listed below.

Blasted Scorn: A group of pirates somewhat succeed in their latest quest, only for knights to be their accidental stowaways. They’re assigned to search for a missing princess, who’s been captured. Dread Pirate Titanrin strikes a deal with them in exchange for valuables. Along the way and dozens of broken bones, this team contemplates on whether this was their worst decision or not.

True Devotion that Remains Constant: A ballet dancer encounters difficulties while trying to find her own path. A painter is only trying to thrive after escaping a difficult situation. An awkward circumstance leads them to meet in college, where they slowly learn about each other.

Lines of A Script to Ignore: An unemployed graduate struggles on getting a job as she adjusts from getting back from abroad. A scriptwriter slash theatre actor seeks to share her story while dealing with setbacks. They reconnect as they see each other, forming a bargain that’ll provide help for both of them.

Intro post

Welcome to the new people who found me through the radar! I've been meaning to do an intro post forever so this is a good time.

Hi, I'm Echo! I mostly use they/them but any pronoun is fine, I'm queer and autistic and I draw and I write fanfiction (and original things occasionally). This post will be pinned and is subject to change.

Links: My AO3 is EchoBleu. I'm also on Instagram as florilegeart.

Fandom: My main current fandom is the Silmarillion, and by extension everything Tolkien. You'll find things on my blog from my previous fandoms as well (Witcher, Shadowhunters, Hamilton, etc) and from fandoms I occasionally dabble in (Leverage, Discworld, etc).

All Tolkien things are tagged with #tolkien as a meta tag. I have far too many WIPs but my niche in this fandom appears to be drawing and writing disabled characters, so you can check the tag #disabled tolkien characters for that (and also #queer tolkien characters).

My fics are all on AO3, though I post most one-shots and some longer fics here as well under #echo's fanfiction. I like posting snippets here too (same tag) and sometimes meta under #echo's writing thoughts. Hello. My name is Maria. She/her. I am a Faller from a place called Yharnam through means unknown, the Chosen champion of Ho-oh through means theoretically known, and the current Champion of the Indigo League through means I know very well, as I did defeat Lance to win that title.

Though I still am thoroughly uncertain as to what quirk of fate resulted in my arrival here, the Johto region has become my home, and I will defend it. Team Rocket is now a memory, as is its leader. They will not be missed.

Here is my Trainer Card, for those curious—I have found that I look rather dashing in it.

My team is as follows; if you would like to know more about any of them than I have provided here, you need only but ask:

My Gengar, Ade, is considerably more technologically literate than I and frequently borrows my device to editorialize upon my posts, record what I am doing, or make posts of her own. When she does, she favors the color purple.

Silver is, technically, still the rival to me that she has declared herself to be. She now has her own blog at @cosmic-crobat. In previous posts upon my blog, she has utilized the color blue.

Occasionally, the god that deemed me worthy of saving Johto chooses to speak here as well. When Ho-oh does so, they do so with bold orange text, and they use that name interchangeably with another they have chosen: Solaire.

The first person to show me kindness in this world was an eleven-year-old boy named Ethan. He introduced me to the second—his mother, a woman named Reina, who I hold in the highest esteem and bear much affection for. I have lent her my device before, and her favorite color is pink.

(Ethan, in his single brief appearance here, used the color yellow. Unfortunately, Rotomblr seems to have removed that color from my post editor and I lack the technological knowledge to restore it, so should he return I will ask what he would prefer instead.)

Some time ago, there was an incident where my Pokégear was stolen and found its way into the hands of a mysterious woman known only as Dee, who distinguished her own posts with green text. I spent the following weeks attempting to solve the mystery of who she might be, only to discover that she was in fact the living Doll modeled after me.

I... do not know how she is in the same world as me. Nor do I know who her friend with the bold red text is for certain, though I have reason to suspect that they are from Yharnam as well.

Now that Team Rocket can be referred to in the past tense, I suppose I do now have the time to devote to the mystery of Dee, or I will soon. A part of me wants nothing to do with her. But she bears no responsibility for the circumstances of her creation, and perhaps she knows the answers to some of the questions I still have. Perhaps she knows something that I do not.

Man these intro posts just keep getting longer and longer. Maria has a Lot To Say now that she's less depressed it seems, which is probably objectively a good thing but still. Anyway, hi, it's still me, @ofstormsandfire, with the pokeblog I've been devoting the majority of my time on Tumblr to for the past few months. I have no regrets this has been very fun and is helping with my Bloodborne withdrawal.

Anyway. Hi. I like Bloodborne, I really like Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower, and I got the idea back in November that I could make her a Faller. That, honestly, there isn't much I can do to her that wouldn't be an improvement over the Ocean Horrors. So this blog resulted!

With that said, Bloodborne is ostensibly a horror game and while Maria is currently in the world of Pokémon, that does not change the fact that she has been through The Horrors and is likely to reference them. Canon-typical themes for that may be present, I'll do my best to tag for anything that isn't average pokeblogging fare, if you'd like me to tag for anything specific feel free to just ask!

Here's some navigational tags for y'all (and I finally figured out how to make them chronological between the last intro post I made and this one, woo!)

#firebird arc: I combined the Radio Tower takeover and the Ho-oh subplot, made the Kimono Girls a lot more relevant, and ramped up the stakes slightly. Ho-oh is a firebird and I think there's a type of rocket called the firebird. I like puns. Sue me.

#from the ashes arc: Giovanni became an actual threat, there got to be an entire Rocket base in Tohjo Falls, and Silver got traumatized more. Mind the tags and also the warning OOC post at the beginning.

#kanto rocket arc: There wasn't much to do in Kanto so I had Rocket start causing problems on purpose. Silver transed her gender and Giovanni... seemed to no longer be a problem at the end of it.

#downpour arc: This hasn't started yet, and won't for a little while, but I've got one post in the tag already establishing it and letting people know what's up OOC ahead of time. I'll probably need to write another new intro post by the time this arc actually begins but it's nice to have my bases covered anyway.

#milf time and sonboy hours, #milf time: The first tag was specifically posts from Ethan and Reina, but Tumblr stole my yellow and Ethan didn't care about Rotomblr so we're not likely to see more of him actually posting. Maybe on Silver's account who knows.

#passing stranger: Posts from or relating to Dee, which y'all now know both ic and ooc is the Plain Doll. Though most of the posts in this tag are from her 24-hour takeover back in February, there will be more, she's coming back more permanently soon and I'm excited.

#rainbow wings: Posts from (or sometimes relating to) Ho-oh. They don't post that often but they're a giant rainbow bird they can do what they want. What they want, when they happen to be online, is generally for injustice to Not Happen. Good luck buddy.

#what's with this sassy lost child?: Posts from Silver, before she got her own blog at @cosmic-crobat. These days she mostly uses her own blog. I might reuse blue for another character later, or I might just keep using blue for her, we'll see what happens.

#ask game: Reblogs of ask games and responses to said ask games. This one isn't chronological.

#hints to the future: Specifically, responses to that one ask game with the gear emojis that lets you hint at future events. I am always accepting asks for this one no matter how long it's been since I last reblogged that ask game. I like hinting toward what's to come and I like writing prose.

#glimpses of the past: That one ask game with the hourglasses that lets you see into the muse's past. Again, always open because I love writing prose and I can write out prose for things that have already happened this way.

#pelipper mail: It's open, it keeps happening, it keeps causing problems. Note that while I do not have magic anons on, if you're sufficiently creative with Pelipper Mail and it isn't too story-breaking you can probably get a similar effect to a magic anon that way.

#the vampire allegations: Silly tag for posts involving the recurring jokes about Maria being a vampire. It keeps happening, due to her entire aesthetic and also me deciding she can be allergic to garlic for coincidental and completely mundane reasons.

hi! i'm elle (she/they), a 29 y/o writer & poet whose previous writeblr intro no longer nails the whole picture. i'm using this intro as a placeholder for my pinned post while i assess whether to revive the old one or write up a fully new one.

my previous intro still holds true but most of my WIPs are on hold and i'm focusing more on poetry lately. you can find my poetry in the elle's poetry tag and my fiction is primarily found in the various WIP tags.

Last Words... for Feb 21, 2023

I finally returned with a regular 'last words' post without being tied to a tag game, so I'm keeping the intro simple. I have more stuff to post, after all, since the forest god finally made his presence known, so...

There isn't anything 'NSFW' in the excerpt, but it is from Prithvi-Chandra, so it comes with the usual horny energy and context. And as usual, this is a raw draft with only a few obvious edits, so SPAG errors, repetition, awkward wording, etc. are definitely present.

After a few silent moments, Beau slowly opened his eyes and turned towards the voice.

The man… no, the forest god was quite unlike the man he met the previous night, but he was undoubtedly the same person. Even if his appearance was different and far more grandiose, he was the same, incredibly handsome man with a similar, but more powerful and commanding presence, befitting the Horned God of the Wood.

His eyes were gold - but rather than the softer, bright gold that Beau was very familiar with, they were a vivid white-gold. Similar to the electrum-tinted eyes from the previous night, they carried a sharper edge, cutting right through his red veil to meet his eyes.

Of course, the man had that same brilliant blond hair that drew everyone’s eyes, but instead of the shorter hair that framed his face, it was incredibly long - far longer than Beau’s own hair, reaching well beyond his lower back. The new addition that stood out were a pair of thick, branched antlers that easily extended a foot, perhaps even two feet, above his head. Vines of English ivy intertwined throughout, with leaves blooming from the razor-sharp edges and points, dipping low enough to trace along pointed ears.

Those bright-green, star-shaped leaves also adorned the long, sleeveless black robes he wore, showing off muscled arms and pale skin marked by dark geometric patterns all along their length. The robes were also left open in front, showcasing a similarly toned chest and intricate, tattoo-like patterns. Beau’s gaze followed further down, along the length of his body, noting similarly loose-fitting dark pants that reached half-way down his calves, that left his tattooed ankles and feet bare. After noting the densely-packed patterns that nearly left the forest god’s feet nearly ink-black, Beau returned his gaze to the lines and curves adorning the man’s ink-stained musculature.

As if caught in a hypnosis, Beau found his hand raised, fingers reaching out to trace along the same patterns his eyes followed. Much to his surprise, his fingers made contact with a cool, hard surface and followed along the inked pattern just as a burst of that intoxicating blend of sandalwood, vanilla, and black cardamom hit his senses. Except this time, it was far more potent than the scent lingering in the chiffon veil and carried a slightly different undertone to it. The artificial edge of disinfectant wasn’t there, and it felt warmer somehow - which made sense, given the forest setting.

Beau leaned closer to the origin of the scent and a stronger burst of the aroma soon diffused through the red fabric. He closed his eyes, in the hopes that it would help him identify the different note much more quickly. It had a more rounded, natural feeling like the earth, but still felt sharp somehow, so what was… ah.

An undercurrent of pine. That was the new, sharp edge… but it blended perfectly with the other tones, and-

Beau startled at the amused voice echoing rather loudly by his ear, before realizing that he was the one who moved - right into the man’s space, at that, without even realizing it.

Despite knowing the world was his dreamscape, Beau felt his face heat up even more at his brazen forwardness. Before he could instinctively step back, however, cool arms wrapped themselves around him and pulled him closer, with one cool hand cradling the back of his head and the other trailing down to the small of his back.

If you’re rp-ing with me and have any squicks or I’m making you uncomfortable, please let me know. The last thing I want is to make anyone upset, so please feel free to drop me an ask or something and I’ll change up the content or remove it if you would prefer. I don’t have any squicks that I’ve found, so go nuts!

The majority of the content I will write will most likely be medical whump / caretaker whump.

Hello. We are Arthromutability, a transformation-based audience participation game. We run on a modified version of the To Change system, found on itch.io here. This is a beta post - a test of the intro, to be revised and reposted until the game actually starts. You can feel free to follow now, of course - but be aware that the game may not start until much, much later.

HOW IT WORKS:

Once per week, we will post a story post - this will be a short story entry, ideally accompanied with an illustration. We will accompany this with a set of drawn cards, and a decision - you. the audience, will pick a card, and we will continue the story from there. We will not tell you what these cards do - you must, rather, figure out what you're doing from what happens from picking a card.

We take suggestions on actions via ask, comment, tag, or addition to the post - we reserve the right to refuse or alter suggestions as needed, as our priority is staying true to the story, not to the letter of the ask. We appreciate constructive criticism and are happy to answer questions on our decisions - some things, however, will remain hidden until the story concludes.

As this is, of course, a narrative about transformation and change, our avatar will change along with our current character's state. There is a character sheet behind the scenes, but you will not see it until all is said and done - the machinery ticks, but the curtain will not be pulled away until what it fuels is finished.

Past characters may be pulled back for a reprise, but it is more likely to be starting from a relatively blank slate than it is to be a straight continuation of a previous story. These things are, as always, up to vote.

There are likely to be delays. We ask for your patience - Rome wasn't built in a day, and we are not a fast worker.

🎃Inktober of 2022 - Day 28: 🍬 Candy

🇵🇷Me: 3 days to go! Can’t wait of how much Inktober postings I’ve gotten this year, but do hope is getting my secret art trade done in time. Anyways, it looks for this title of “Candy” is bringing back these two pups for a second time. Nothing too big still if I could, but at least a simple treak-or-treating part for the kids works fine. Especially fictional characters and of course some animals can have treats now and then. Though do be careful if your treats can get a bad taste for your mouth; in which case for this Inktober post being made. Takes places before Day 8 where they became lost in the forest, they’re just having their time going trick-or-treating in the street. Although for reason they needed to share one bucket full. While the girl pup got her lollipop for her delight, but the boy pup is disgusted after chewing a black licorice a bit. You know about black licorice that it taste bad or if I can take a taste….probably not becasue it’s not worth to “Take a Taste” in review. 🤢 That and it would properly killing you if you eating too much. 🐰🖌Maxwell: Oh, man! 😟 He needed to toss that away from it, this licorice are the worst indeed! 🇵🇷Me: Calm down, Maxwell. At least hoping he won’t be eating too much since it was the only licorice they got. Still hoping they can toss it to the trash where it belongs. Good thing they still got more good treats in the bucket; including some doggy treats.

As you can see this is a doodle sketch that I’m gonna explain through details a bit, but just wanted to know how much time and effort for these two pups in working designs. Although last time toincluded them from my previous posts was not bad. Still hoping I would continue working on their designs a bit better from what they actually look like on trailer. It took me to get started back in March. 21st, 2022 til the 27th day that you can see the date I’ve added in the bottom right during my progress.

Just dropping my random art for “The Amazing World of Gumball” fans out there while waiting if any news for an upcoming movie or at least an HBO Max series will come out eventually. Though can’t help for the most part from that Season 6 episode could’ve get an rewrite instead of making Baby Anais a devilish monster….I know. I originally saved this from few months ago for this year, by the way.
