i wanna be someone who listens to misfits full time again wtf is ghost
#i used to be so cool. i used to be my brother's inspirations and goals. now he sees me and cringes and he's right#hsnckajdja joking. but also no#i feel like i finished the main game (cool iconique music) and now i'm doing the silly but way funnier side quests (ghost)#i mean ghost is not a bad band by all means. but they are so silly. i for one cannot take them seriously. never could#i thot they'd sound like repugnant back in the day then i heard like ritual and dance macabre and pissed my pants at the contrast between#the sound and the look and the purpose of the contrast. i respect them and love them but God they are so funny#i don't know how to phrase this. i don't even know what point i'm trying to make#but i do miss the music i listened to in high school. i lost so many songs#<- cons of only listening to music by downloading it to my phone is that sometimes when changing phones or sd cards you mess up#bc you're stupid and useless w technology and lose 500000000 songs and the thought of having to find them again is#anxiety inducing so you kinda give up on listening to them ever again. lol#like i was listening to so much guns n roses... misfits.... iron maiden..... metallica.... tool.... idk just those cool person bands#and now i hardly ever hear them and i actually miss them a lot :(#thankfully my brother has been following my footsteps so far and he's currently in his pink floyd tool era so i'm re-living those days#thru him but. i just miss it. i need to download everything again someday#the only bitch who survived the changing phone & sd card purge was alice cooper. i went and downloaded everything again#i will NEVER give up on that old man he's my favorite music guy in the world#i also was just starting out w him when it happened tho so i didn't have a lot of catching back up to do but STILL. alice cooper forever#and ever 100 years alice cooper love that guy to death and hell#oh nay#ignore this. i've been feeling nostalgic

Thirty minutes and 9 paragraphs into an excited list of alternatives to Spotify's monopoly re: music, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, for weenies like me who are nervous about pirating, and my app crashes.
Well now I'm on a laptop and I swear to god if this crashes too I'm calling it a conspiracy.
LEGAL ALTERNATIVES TO SPOTIFY:
Music: There are virtually limitless options here. Buy music directly from the musicians/band! If they don't sell mp3s directly from their site, they almost certainly have CDs for sale, so buy those and rip the mp3s to your computer (if your computer doesn't have a CD slot, you can buy an external one for fairly cheap). Go to a new/used music store, they still exist!, and buy albums there. Buy old albums from ebay! Go to goodwill or other thrift stores and browse there collection of cast-off music for cheap, you never know what you'll find. Hell, browse their cheap vinyl if you prefer their sound and get a vinyl-to-MP3 conversion device if you like. They even have conversion devices for cassette tapes, if you find a treasure that was only ever released on tape. Once upon a time I would have said Bandcamp for MP3 or even physical albums (I once upon a time got an AUTOGRAPHED TO MY NAME CD of Lauren Ruth Ward's Well Hell album), but they recently union busted and a lot of artists pulled their stuff from them. I don't really know anything about 7Digital's business practices, but they are another seller of MP3 music, as well as MP4, FLAC, and WAV.
Music DEVICES: If you just want to manage everything on one device, your phone, get the free VLC app! It's open source and is absolutely wonderful. I only ever used it for music, but it's capable of much more than I realized, and it's open source and ad-free! And the audio files are tiny, even when I was running out of room on my sixteen gig old phone, I still had a substantial music library on it before before I got a dedicated music player.
Which brings me to my next point: MP3 PLAYERS STILL EXIST! I own two! My first one is a twenty-dollar SanDisk Clip Jam (an established and sturdy brand), my current is a thirty-dollar Phinistec Z6 (that just came out of nowhere it seems). Each have their pros and cons, and there are so so so many options out there. Some are smart, some don't even have wifi (neither of mine do). Some have expandable card slots for even more music. Some are extremely basic, some have a plethora of features. Some are cheap but still decent in sound, some are high-end for that true audiophile experience. Some have touch screens, some have buttons, some have no screens at all. Some only use wired earphones, some only use bluetooth, some (like the Z6) can use both! There are so many brands out there even in Twenty Twenty-four. Even the random brands cropping up online are some really good shit, and I bought both of mine used bc I have concerns about the lithium industry. Oh, and some are regular battery powered. And you don't need iTunes or anything, I just use the basic Windows Media Player to rip my CDs or put mp3s music on my player. In fact I've been avoiding Apple players because I'm worried they'd brick older devices, especially ones with wifi. But there are so many options out there, it's impossible to name them all.
Audiobooks: YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE AUDIBLE! Libro.fm has a similar business model (an optional subscription fee with a free credit every month, or the option to buy book without a subscription for a little bit extra price), and you can direct the profits to the indie bookseller of your choice! I have mine set to go to Baltimore's anarcho-feminist bookstore, Red Emma's. How to listen to the audiobooks you buy? Libro has an app you can listen to directly from! AND they have the option to directly download from the site (meaning no program you have to install) the book in non-proprietary mp3/mp4 files so you can listen to it on any device that can use those files! THAT INCLUDES MP3 PLAYERS! Almost every music player on the market now not only plays audiobooks, but has sections on the device specifically for them! Some, like the Clip Jam, are even proprietary audible-compatible if you still use or already have books there (check audible's site, and you'll have to go thru a registration process). I was listening to audiobooks on both my CJ and the Z6 (the Z6 doesn't have a section for them, but still played them), but I recently bought an e-ink/e-paper (meaning no backlit LED screen causing eye strain or insomnia) ereader, a Pocketbook Touch HD 3, and that is mp3/mp4 capable for audiobooks, and is easier to maneuver books with since it's meant for books. ALSO: the library apps Hoopla and Libby also have audiobooks you can listen to via phone or computer/browser, depending on your library's catalog. Some ereaders can even have the apps for them, and if they have audiocapabilities you can use the ereader for that too.
Podcasts: There are so many apps for this. I have Podcast Addict (I don't remember off the top of my head if it's on apple, I use android, but there are still so many apps). Literally I only had to sacrifice one podcast when I stopped using spotify, PodcastAddict has everything else I've ever listened to or want to listen to in the future. You can download them for offline use on your phone, and, you guessed it, MOST MP3 PLAYERS HAVE PODCAST SECTIONS TOO. MINE DO! There are still ads at the beginning and end, but I usually skip over them without care.
Video: This one is a bit trickier as YouTube is also a monopoly, but what I do is just watch yt on my phone's Firefox browser with UBlock Origins adblocker installed. Sometimes yt gets into a hissy fit with adblocker, but UBlock usually gets ahead pretty quickly thus far. And if in the periods Origins is losing, I just find something else to do. I'm sure someone else has recommendations for videos, they're just not a big part of my life right now.
Anyway, don't let the horrid beast that is spotify monopoloize the audio industry OR your time! There are options, and even if you're not a luddite like me that hates having everything on my smartphone bc I'm worried about privacy or companies yoinking their stuff off my devices via wifi (like Amazon did once with their copies of, of all things, Nineteen Eighty-four about a decade ago) at the whim of corporations. You HAVE OPTIONS! YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CONTROL YOUR MEDIA AND REJECT MONOPOLIES!

New Pipe: open source ad-free YouTube app—my notes and opinions after 48 hours
Pros of New Pipe:
No ads! Obviously!!
Background play
It does still offer picture-in-picture
Playback speeds at specific increments instead of just by quarters
It remembers what playback speed you used last time after closing and reopening the app (same with resolution)
Ability to download videos
No YouTube account required to make playlists
Ability to import subscriptions
You can change the brightness without leaving full screen, like on the Netflix app
It will prompt you to update through a push notification, so you don't have to worry about going back to the website to find out there's an update
Cons:
No option to log in with your YouTube account (I'm assuming so they don't violate any rules? And/or because it would break their commitment to privacy?)
This means you can't comment and you can't like videos, nor add them to your existing playlists on your account, nor comment on videos. So far this makes it a bit annoying to go back and forth in order to do both of these things.
Scrolling through comments isn't the same experience, and you can't watch the video at the same time as scrolling
If you import subscriptions, it will be EVERYTHING. You can create groups in your subscriptions, but if you don't want the main feed clogged up, you'll have to edit the .csv file to remove those channels (this is doable in Google Sheets)
It defaults to background play, not picture in picture (this is only an issue half of the time for me)
Shuffle play isn't obvious where it's located
You can't swipe down on full screen to bring it back to normal (depending on which side of the screen, you'll either change the brightness or change the volume)
Doesn't seem to adjust resolution in relation to network connection (if your Internet gets worse it will not decrease the resolution). If this is a setting I need to fix, then I haven't quite figured it out yet
So what do I recommend this for?
If you casually use YouTube and either don't have an account or don't care about engaging
Background play of all music—this works best for when your hands are occupied doing a chore or driving, or when you're playing music through a Bluetooth speaker and don't want to wear out your battery by needing to keep your phone screen on
When you want to listen to a video but not necessarily watch it
When you want to watch a video but the visuals shouldn't/can't be visible
When you're watching a many hours documentary but don't want to deal with the ads that are inevitably sprinkled in
When you're listening to a podcast on YouTube
There's probably something I forgot but if you need background play or an easy way to download videos to your phone, this app is for you
I do not recommend this 100% if you like scrolling through comments while watching videos, if you like making comments while watching videos, or if you're heavily reliant on making your playlists or using private playlists, the latter of which you will obviously will have no access to without your account. I know that technically with PIP active, you can still do all this on the YouTube app, but it's again kind of a pain and having it be small while going through comments isn't ideal.
That being said! Definitely best used for background play at like parties and such. It is extremely useful for that. I'm definitely going to be using it for that, along with in my car. I'll still have to mainly use the YouTube app, however.
Link to the OFFICIAL SITE to download! Remember: New Pipe is NOT on the Play Store! It's literally against the Play Store rules. If it's on there, it's malware.

28:49 - DEFENDING YOURSELF FROM AI DEEP FAKES
One of my favorite podcasts to listen to is called Akimbo. It’s by Seth Godin, a brilliant marketer and thought leader. He constantly challenges his listeners to “make things better by making better things.” That resonates with me.
One of my early Irish & Celtic Music Podcast slogans was “changing the way you hear Celtic music.” That was about improving the culture, embracing change, recognizing that our past is important but so is our future. That’s what podcasting is all about. Or it can be.
This week, Seth didn’t something intriguing. He asked ChatGPT to evaluate the functions, the future, and the problems of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT. He recorded the responses…
Well, sort of.
It turned out the entire recording, except the intro, was an AI voice manipulator that sounded almost exactly like Seth Godin. There was one moment in the recording that I thought, this is kind of dry sounding. I chalked it up to ChatGPT. Little did I know, it wasn’t Seth speaking.
My mom just shared an AI scam that’s happening. I have an idea on how to fix. Thank you Harry Potter!
The scam is that an AI simulator will call you on the phone and have the same voice as someone you know. They say that they are in financial trouble. They ask for your help.
What do you do?
At some point, the simulator will be good enough to fool you. Just like Seth Godin’s podcast fooled me. We’re already there. But I immediately came up with a defense. It’s from the final books of Harry Potter.
I’ll let ChatGPT explain:
“In the final books of the Harry Potter series, Remus Lupin asked Harry Potter a question to prove that he was not an imposter. The question was: "What is the secret of the Marauder's Map?" This was a question that only the true creators of the map - Lupin, James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew - would know the answer to.
Harry correctly answered that the map was activated by tapping it with one's wand and saying "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good," and that it could be closed by tapping it again and saying "Mischief managed." This answer convinced Lupin that Harry was indeed who he claimed to be.”
Yeah. I was talking about it with my mom and realized this is the way we need to protect ourselves from THIS AI scam.
We ask a question that only the person we’re talking with would know the answer to.
Seems simple. But it’s a good lesson to pass on. So please please share this idea. Because at some point, you won’t be able to tell who’s real and who’s not.
Mind you, that’s not to scare you. As I said at the beginning, change is inevitable. We need to work with this bizarre new paradigm. As Seth Godin’s podcast points out, it can be beneficial or it can be hurtful. We have the power to choose and to make change. So let’s do something for the better.
Oh and if you want some more thoughts on ChatGPT by Andrew McKee and me. We did a great podcast on it on the Brobdingnagian Bards Podcast.
37:47 - Marc Gunn “The Long Arm” from As Long As I’m Flyin’

How to plan a camping trip that includes 3-4 children, and how to please everyone
My name is Mary. I have three children. What is the reason for a gap between 3-4 kids? Because I have four children and 2 older boys, which have no longer the ability to take part in the activities of our family, we usually only see one of them. The excursion will be shared with two of my younger daughters as well as one of the boys. The boys are all older than 12 years old. Yes I'm a cool mother, so my 14-year old will stay home. Although he won't invite anyone or make bad choices, there was no other way.
Camping trips are a family favorite. Every time we gather, we have many stories to tell. Children are the center of our everyday lives and everyone should listen to the good things. Camp trips are great to break the ice and start conversations. Because we camp every month, there's many stories to tell. And the greatest part? It's not fake news. It's all true.
One is for kids. You can find instructional videos on the device that get your kids to churning your brain a bit. There are videos of baby Shark and other well-known kids' stars and also unboxing and teletubbies. The majority of the videos were downloaded from Youtube. Our first experience with wifi was in the woods. However no of our hotspot toolskits were able to help. Simply because our phones are not within range of the network and do not have access to Internet as well, there's no hotspot. It's okay, we love the weather, and have learned to live with the absence of internet. We just prepare video content prior to going out to camp. The 3 most popular Youtube video download sites are Flvto, Y2mate and 2Conv. Then, we look up what the kids like and use them to download the video. Each site has its own pros and cons, they all have their advantages as well as disadvantages. I discovered that if one can't download the Youtube video, the other 2 will take the lead. However, Y2mate usually takes care of everything. Flvto (or 2Conv) can assist you in downloading the videos.
You can search for YouTube videos through Y2mate. ytmp3 cc You just have to type in what you children have been saying in song lyrics over the last week. It will then show up. Then, you can either download the file in MP4 file to your computer or transfer it directly onto the tablet. If you own a Youtube playlist You can copy the URL address and send the URL to Y2mate. It will give you a list with videos you can select from and allow you to download them all at once. Y2mate is able to convert Youtube videos to mp3 as well. Whatever the case we make in our home download lots of videos for our children and for teenagers we select a small selection of the most popular music videos. They love them, so there's no need to be concerned.
Finally, we have a laptop at home that has many TV Shows and films. Since the storage capacity is bigger, we also installed Netflix and HULU apps to let us download shows and movies offline. It's very easy to install this. Just hit a button, and wait for it to. In a matter of days or hours, the title will be added to your library. Now all you have to do is click to view. No data transfer, buffering or slow loading, everything is played instantly from your laptop or computer. The one that we hide from the rain and then let it out once it is over, is that we like our children to enjoy educational or DIY content. However, movies television shows, movies, and movies can also be helpful, as they help to soothe the family who've been inside the tent for 36hours in a row.
These tricks and tips will hopefully assist you with planning your next camping excursion. Given the recent pandemics It's always a good idea to go on a camping trip.

How to make a camping trip that is small for three to four children.
Hi, my name is Mary and I have three children. Why would I choose to place an undetermined dash between 3 and 4 children? We are four and two older boys. We see only one of the boys. Two younger girls will accompany me and one of them will join us. They are all older than 12 years old. Yes, I'm a cool mother, and my 14-year-old son is staying at home. He is likely to not invite any friends and will make lots of bad decisions. But, it was impossible to leave him on his own since he said he wasn’t going out this weekend. The family is famous for their camping trips. Every time we gather, we are able to share a variety of stories to tell. Children are the main focus of our otherwise mundane lives and everyone should listen to the good stories. Camp trips are great for breaking ice and starting conversations. We go on them at least once per month, which means there are plenty of stories to share. In fact, there's a story for everyone. It's interesting to note that nothing in this story can be made up. Of course, there's time for getting there as well as getting home that are also included in the trip. There are down times during heavy rains or other adverse weather conditions, where everyone can snuggle up together in the tent to listen to music or TV. There are moments where we want to take a moment to ourselves after climbing an incline or exploring caves nearby. This, in addition to the driving time and driving, has led us to discover a great way of teaching our children and letting them be glued to their screens. To be honest we've divided it into two tablets recently. One for children, the other for teenagers. You just need to use two tablets is more practical. One device is meant for kids. There are videos that teach kids that can help children to get a bit of their brain. There are videos of baby sharks as well as other famous children's characters as well as unboxing toys, tele-tubbies and many more. Most of the stuff was downloaded from Youtube. We tried using wifi outdoors in the woods, our first attempts were unsuccessful. The hotspot tools didn't work because our phones had lost Internet connection, so the hotspot didn't work. It's fine. We love the weather and have learned how to deal with an absence of Internet. Before heading to camp we make video-related materials. The kids can choose from one of the three most popular YouTube video download sites such as Y2mate. Flvto. or 2Conv. Each site has their advantages and cons. However , I've learned that if a site does not download the Youtube video, the others can help. But, Y2mate will usually be able to do all the things. Flvto or 2Conv are capable of handling certain videos that it refuses to download.
Tumblr media
It is also possible to search YouTube videos with Y2mate. Then, you can type the annoying words that your children have been singing for this past week in the search box. If it shows up you can select among the choices and save it as an MP4 file on your desktop. Transfer it directly to your tablet. You could also copy the URL of a YouTube playlist and then give the link to Y2mate. Y2mate will display an array of options and allow you to pick one from the list. Y2mate lets you convert Youtube videos into MP3. No matter what we make at home download lots of videos for kids and for teenagers we select a small selection of the most popular music videos. They love them, and we needn't worry about it. In the end, we have our own laptop that has many TV Shows and movies. It has a lot more storage so we can download films and shows for offline viewing. qdownloader It's very easy to do this. Simply press a button and it will be. In just a couple of hours or days , the show is added to your library. Click and go, and it will all be waiting for you. There's no need to transfer information or buffer it. It's all instant, you can stream it on your computer or laptop. We put it away and bring it out when there's too much rain. However, movies and TV shows can be helpful in trying to calm an active family that is confined in a tent for 36 hours. These suggestions and tricks can help you plan your next camping excursion. With the recent pandemic that struck, it's always beneficial to get away. It helps you to get back to basics and re-learn how to survive on the land. We pack food and water, but we don't leave out a meadow that is full of edible fruits and berries.

How to get ready for taking your kids out camping with you.
Hello! I'm a mom to 3-4 kids. Why would I choose to put an indeterminate dash between the three and four children? I was blessed with four children. But two of my brothers are old enough for family activities so we see only one. The trip this time will consist of two younger girls and 1 of the boys. None of them are older than 12 years old. Yes, I'm a cool mother, so my 14 year-old is staying home. He will hopefully not invite any friends and will make a lot of poor decisions. But, it was impossible to go on a trip with him by himself as the boy said he wouldn't be going to leave this weekend. Our camping trips are famous for the whole family. Every gathering is filled with stories to tell, and as our children are at the center of our lives that are otherwise dull, everyone needs to be able to connect to the parts which aren't as boring. Camping trips are a great opportunity to break the ice and spark conversations. As we camp each month, there's many stories to tell. The most interesting part is that none of this can be made up. The trip also includes the time to get there and back. There are down moments when it rains, and other bad weather conditions which is when we all curl inside the tent to watch television or listening to music. We play a variety of games, but there are occasions that we want to relax after going up the mountain or exploring caves nearby. In addition to the time we spend driving around, we discovered the perfect method for our kids to learn and enjoy their televisions. There are plenty of videos, suitable for teenagers and children on this tablet. To be fair we've split the tablet into two recently. One for children, the other for teens. It is just that they have to be able to use both in all times, which is why keeping two tablets in one place makes more sense.. One device is intended for kids. There are educational videos available for kids that can help them to churn a bit of their brain. You will also find videos of baby sharks, other famous children's media stars as well as unboxing toys. Youtube hosts the majority of the video. We tried using wifi outside in the woods at first, but no hotspot tools worked. This is because our phones stop receiving Internet and the phones are out of reach of the internet. This is fine. We are awestruck by the weather and have learned to cope with the absence of Internet. We prepare only video material before we go to camp. We go through the videos that our kids enjoy and then choose one of the three popular YouTube video downloading sites such as Y2mate or Flvto. Each has its plus and minus sides with pros and cons using them, however I discovered that if one of them fails to download a video from Youtube - then the other two are in the picture, though usually Y2mate can take care of all of the issues. It does sometimes refuse to download specific videos, and Flvto or 2Conv takes care of the rest. You can search Youtube videos using Y2mate. Simply type in the annoying lyrics your children sing in this song, then it will pop-up. It is possible to download the mp4 file to your computer and transfer it to your tablet. You can add the URL address to a Youtube playlist to show Y2mate. You'll be able to select from a number of videos, and download them one-by-one. Y2mate lets you convert Youtube videos into mp3. We prepare at home and download lots of videos for our kids. Teens are able to download a few popular music videos. They love them, and there's no need to be concerned. Also, we have our laptop that is loaded with films and TV shows. Because it has more storage space, we downloaded HULU as well as Netflix apps to the laptop. best ytmp3 This enabled us to download movies and shows offline. It's very easy to download these. Click a button and let it go, and within a few days or hours and the show will be available in your library. Simply click and enjoy, wherever and whenever you want, regardless of internet access. There's no buffering, data transfer or slow loading, everything will play instantaneously on your computer or laptop. We keep it hidden and only let it out when there's too much rain. However, movies and television shows can be extremely useful in trying to soothe the agitated family who is confined in the tent for 36 hours.
Tumblr media
These tricks and methods can be useful when making plans for your next camping excursion. In the wake of the recent pandemic and the recent outbreak, it's great to escape. It helps you to go back to basics and learn how to live on the land. We take food with us and water, but we don't forget a meadow full of edible fruit.

let's talk about the eTalk phone because it's awesome. (not sponsored, has my opinion on it)
The eTalk is a flip phone. It's a very simple phone, and it runs Android. You heard that right, ANDROID. But, there are no games or social media. The phone is not smart. However, is it better than a smartphone?
Yes, if you are addicted to social media and want to quit.
No, if you're used to a touch screen. (it takes a while to get used to typing on a keypad)
Here's the pros:
MIDI file support. Yes, you can do polyphonic MIDI ringtones. It can play them in the music app, but some of the instruments are at a limited range compared to playing them on an older Android 4 device. It runs Android 8. (I use a kyocera android with android 4 on it and it's the best music player for someone who wants to listen to MIDIs on the go)
4GB of storage. This may seem very very small for most smartphone users, but it's enough to put in at least a few MP3s, a folder with a lot of MIDI files which are small in size, and some photos. But if that's not enough, you can put in a Micro SD card.
You can bedazzle it. Just get some sticky rhinestones, and place them wherever you want your eTalk bedazzled.
A headphone jack. Need I say more? The iPhone I had before I switched to the eTalk flip phone did not have one.
Now here are the cons:
No charm loop thing.
Only 1GB RAM.
Very mediocre web browser. It's very slow. But at least it plays YouTube! It's very very tiny though, so I wouldn't really recommend doing so.
Somewhat good camera quality. It's good if you want that old-school look. Also has a video quality setting that makes it low quality and records under a minute.
Now, I've never downloaded an APK from the Web and tried to install it on my eTalk, so I really can't talk about that. (i have an urge to install a few apps on it, i think they won't show up)
Most people would rather buy a thousand dollar phone instead of paying just forty dollars for a flip phone that can only call and text. So it's pretty underrated until this post goes viral and everyone buys eTalk phones. (which i think won't happen. i only got somewhat famous from a spamton 3D movie maker animation i made a while back)
So that's a review of the eTalk phone. There are other phones you can buy, but I reviewed the one i have switched to.

bakugou x reader; in which Bakugou and some other students from UA are doing a work -study abroad in NYC. also Bakugou is nice to you for once
cw: like, so many swears; sexual references
You’re sitting in a circle with Bakugou and all of his friends - whose real names you’ve learned by now. Kirishima passes out drinks to everyone, and you gladly take a bottle of beer.
It’s a comfortable house party. No loud music, no insane partying. Just a group of friends sat in a circle, with maybe a few playing beer pong in another room. You smile and laugh at their jokes and stories, and part of you is jealous of Bakugou for having such an interesting group of friends. He barely joins in on the conversation, but you can tell the others enjoy having him around, even if it’s just to mess with him sometimes.
You drink your beer slowly, wary of the fact that you shouldn’t have alcohol during such an emotional time. It takes the edge off a little bit, but that’s all you wanted. You picked something relatively light - a Heineken - to play it safe.
Midoriya picks at your brain for a little bit; asking about your Quirk and how exactly it works. You humor him, partly because he’s very sweet and genuine, and partly because you can feel the annoyance radiating off of Bakugou in the background while you talk to him.
“Something wrong, Kacchan?” you tease him, and Bakugou sucks his teeth and turns away from you. Smiling, you return to your conversation with Midoriya.
After you’re done explaining your Quirk (along with nearly your entire life story), Mina catches your attention.
“We’re having a quick hang out in my room!” she calls, “Girls only!”
You grin and wave goodbye to Midoriya, following her into a bedroom down the hallway. Mina grabs your hand and drags you the rest of the way, and you look back to steal a glance at Bakugou as you laugh.
He’s staring right at you, and your heart jumps into your throat.
Mina pulls you into her room and shuts the door behind both of you. The rest of the girls - Yaoyorozu, Uraraka, Jirou, and Tsu are already there. It’s immediately obvious that the room belongs to Mina. Everything is pink and girly and gaudy and yet, somehow, she makes it all work. A few of the girls sit on the bed, while Tsu sits on the floor with her back resting against the bed frame. Mina grabs her desk chair and a fuzzy pink pouf from her vanity and instructs you to sit down. You choose the desk chair and she sits on the pouf, tucking her legs under her butt.
“So,” Mina says, practically buzzing with excitement, “what’s the deal between you and Bakugou?”
“Me and Bakugou? We’re just roommates,” you reply.
“Bullshit,” Jirou chimes in, “Bakugou never shows up to these things, much less with a friend. Who’s a girl.”
“It’s not like that!” you protest, your hands coming up in front of you, “I think he just feels sorry for me. I, uh... broke up with my boyfriend a few hours ago.”
“That’s awful!” Uraraka gasps.
“Do you wanna talk about it?” Mina asks.
“Mina!” Jirou hisses in response, “Don’t be so invasive.”
“No, it’s okay,” you say, “I... think I do want to talk about it. A little. If that’s okay.”
“Hold on, I’m getting you another drink,” Mina says, and while she’s rummaging in the kitchen, you and the other girls get comfortable with pillows and blankets. Mina returns with a few more beers and bags of chips and pretzels in hand.
“Okay,” she says, arranging them on the floor in front of everybody for easy access, “let it all out, girl.”
“Well, spoiler alert, we broke up because he cheated on me,” you begin, shoving some pretzels into your mouth.
“Oh, so like, good riddance then,” Jirou says.
“It must still be hard though,” Tsu adds.
You crack open your beer and continue, “Yeah it sucks, but I guess I should have seen it coming after I found Tinder installed on his phone a few weeks ago.”
“What?” Yaoyorozu gasps.
“Oh yeah,” you smile sarcastically, “This man downloaded Tinder on his phone and when I found it, he told me he was using it to check if one of his friend’s girlfriend had a Tinder.”
“And you believed him?” Jirou quirks a brow.
“Now that I’m thinking back on it... no? But I took the excuse because I didn’t wanna deal with a breakup. And I didn’t wanna seem like a crazy girlfriend. I wanted to be the cool girl, I guess.”
“That makes sense,” Uraraka says reassuringly.
“Anyways...” you glance at the other girls, “...do you guys wanna know how I caught him?”
“Oh my god yes” Mina practically begs.
You laugh. “She told me. The other girl he was fucking, I mean. She had no idea he had a girlfriend.”
“Oh, shit,” Jirou breathes.
“Yeah... she texted me screenshots of their conversations on Tinder. When I confronted him, he actually had the nerve to tell me she was lying. That she made it all up.”
The room is silent for a moment.
“But I didn’t believe him this time,” you continue, staring into space, “I told him he was full of shit.”
You let out a long sigh. “He told her that his feelings for her were the realest he ever had. That she was the most amazing woman he’d ever met. Like I was nothing.” Like you didn’t even exist.
“Well, guess what?” Mina says, taking your hand and squeezing it.
You meet her gaze.
“He’s nothing now,” she says while nodding her head.
“Yeah!” Uraraka says, “Good riddance!”
You feel 1000 pounds lighter, and butterflies erupt in your stomach at the thought of new, genuine friendships forming.
“Thanks for listening,” you say sheepishly, slightly embarrassed that you opened up so much to a group of girls you barely knew.
“Anytime,” Yaoyorozu replies, smiling.
A sudden knock on the door distracts you, and you reach behind you to open it. You find Kirishima standing there, controllers in hand.
“Bakugou says you’re good at Smash,” he says, looking at you.
“I bet he does,” Mina whispers to Jirou behind you, and you step backwards with one foot, aiming to crush her toes.
“I’ve been known to kick some ass every now and then,” you tell Kirishima.
“Yeah, unless you’re playing against me!” Bakugou calls from the living room.
You get up and push past Kirishima into the hallway. You can see Bakugou at the end of the hall, a devilish smirk on his face.
“Eat my shit,” you taunt him, “I bet I could beat you in my sleep.”
“Prove it,” Bakugou sneers at you.
“Fine,” you say confidently, “But when you lose, you have to buy me dinner.”
“No,” he replies, moving closer to you, “when you lose, you have to eat an entire bowl of my spicy ramen.” He punctuates each you with a finger jabbing your chest.
“Deal,” you smirk and hold your hand out towards Kirishima, who hands you a Joy-Con while glancing back and forth between you and Bakugou.
“Prepare to eat your words, princess.”

Hi, so I'm thinking about finally signing up for the DLsite that you post info from alot, but I'm wondering if it's better to use a computer rather than a phone if I just wanna listen to drama CDs. Are there any cons for using phone only?
Hi! There shouldn’t be any cons about using a phone vs computer, so you can choose whichever you prefer. 😁
I use both. I download the files and mostly listen to them on my phone, but I sometimes use my laptop when my phone is charging or too far away to reach. It’s whatever device I’m using at the moment kind of thing 🤣 (btw I use iTunes/Apple Music to sync my stuff on both laptop + phone)
Hope this helps! 😉

How to make a camping trip that is small for 3-4 children.

Headcanon ahoy!
Ahh, I can’t believe how much fun I had writing Danceverse Ultra Magnus (semi OC) in my Stories Tell Us fic. I was waiting for an opportunity to spotlight him for a bit while he did his Guardian bot stuff AND finally bring to light my headcanon about his specific race / language.
I call Mags a “semi OC” because he’s a named character in the franchise, but hasn’t been seen in the Bayverse movies, so I yanked him up for myself. He first showed up in Lines as a white Kenworth t800 and later changed over to an International LoneStar.
Kenworth
Tumblr media
LoneStar
Tumblr media
Ultra Magnus is a Rustian.
Rustians are native to the Sea of Rust, which is like a hybrid of a desert and a plain and the rust storms make Earth’s sandstorms look like dust puffs. Rustians are Cybertron’s equivalent to the indigenous peoples around the Earth, like Aborigines, First Nations, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, etc..
Autobots are respectful of Rustians. Decepticons...not so much. I’ll get more into that soon.
The racial slur Decepticons use against Rustians is Junkions or Junkers-- it hurts them like the N-word hurts black people. The term exists in Decepticon mumblings because Rustian homes look like piles of junk from the outside, while inside it’s clean, neat and cozy. They build like that because the Sea of Rust is known for its rust storms, and the “junky” looking homes let the wind and blowing rust slide around buildings instead of battering against them and piling up to block the exit doors.
You can call Rustians a Rusty or Rusties because that’s what they’ll playfully call themselves (in their language), but the J-word will get you a one-strike warning if you’re ignorant, and repeats get you smacked in the mouth and kicked out of the social circle. Avoid the J-word!
Rustians are excellent storytellers. They’re notorious for it! It’s how they pass on knowledge. They love hearing other peoples’ stories, too, the more gripping the better. A favorite game of theirs is for a group to retell a known story with the most absurd twists they can make up without changing the story’s outcome. You lose the game if your addition changes the plot and you win if you’re able to finish the story to its proper end while laughing your aft off. Like, they might tell you the plot to the Die Hard movies, but everybody is wearing tutus or has rainbow colored teeth, or all the cars drive backwards, that kind of stuff.
Rustians evolved for a long time without any contact from the rest of Cybertron, so they have their own language, writing system, culture, beliefs and technology that is totally separate from the Autobots and Decepticons.
The first outside contact Rustians had with anyone was with the Primes, who they saw as gods capable of appearing and disappearing at will. It was a glowing contact with kindness exchanged from both sides. Then the Fallen came through later and wiped out a lot of Rustians to prevent a Prime from emerging, and it became the first time Rustians had ever seen death. Death was so new to them that they had to invent a word for it because one didn’t exist.
They thought they somehow angered the gods and came up with prayers, music and poetry to try to appease them and prevent it from happening again. The fear of angry gods appearing gradually faded, but the legends, stories, songs, prayers and poetry about it continued through history.
The Rustians’ second outside contact was the Decepticons, who arrived shortly after Ultra Magnus’ generation first saw the stars. The Rustians were still hurt and the population was slowly recovering from the Fallen’s unprovoked attack. They were no slouch with weaponry and combat, so they were able to put up a fight against the ‘Cons. The problem was they were outnumbered.
And Optimus showed up with a small convoy, having tracked the ‘Cons to the Sea of Rust. He realized he didn’t have enough bots with him to hold off the Decepticons in the Sea of Rust, and the Rustians knew they didn’t have enough people to hold off the Decepticons either.
The language barrier made communication almost impossible, so Optimus made his intent to team up with the previously-unknown bots clear by only pointing his weapons at the Decepticons, never the Rustians. They figured out the rest pretty quick.
Let me make it clear that both teams were screwed if they didn’t join forces, it wasn’t the Rustians getting totally clobbered until the Autobots saved the day. The Autobots were getting clobbered, too. Neither group had a chance of winning on their own. It was a mutual agreement to combine their armies and drive the ‘Cons away. The Rustian Optimus fought back to back with as a team happened to be a young Ultra Magnus. After the battle, they worked patiently through the language barrier and established communication.
Ultra Magnus recognized the Prime engraving on Optimus’ helm and believed him appearing when he did was an apology from the gods for bringing death into their ranks, so he did what people do with a sincere apology-- he accepted. He invited Optimus to immerse himself in the Rustian way of life and taught him their culture, religion, music, stories and their spoken and written language. Optimus offered Ultra Magnus the same in return, which began a complete and equal cultural exchange. Nobody forced anybody to change who they were even though there was quite a bit of culture shock in the beginning. Everybody got over it and worked out a harmonious coexistence. :)
Rustians weren’t technologically behind the Autobots. They had a lot of medical tools and navigation methods the Autobots had never seen, and likewise the Autobots had weaponry and construction equipment the Rustians had never seen. They filled in each others’ technological gaps and got stronger for it.
Btw, some Rustian tech looks like something out of a steampunk comic because that’s their style. A lot of their art and sculptures are clockwork stuff that moves.
The technological exchange let the Rustians start building “underground” underneath Cybertron’s top layer. A lot of them started living beneath the Sea of Rust as much as living on it.
Optimus told the Rustians he had no desire to erase their culture or their way of life, but he knew the Decepticons wouldn’t hesitate to do exactly that. He offered them a place in the Autobot army if they wanted one, and they were all over it. There are no Rustians in the Decepticon ranks. Not one.
Rustians have a very distinct accent when they speak Cybertronian; the human equivalent would be somebody speaking English with a Jamaican Patois accent. A non-Rustian who learns to speak enough Rustian to communicate will have a strong and obvious accent, too, like an English speaker speaking Patois.
Ultra Magnus is perpetually amused by Optimus’ command of Rustian. Optimus comes from the southernmost tip of Simfur and has the Cybertronian equivalent of a thick rural Alabama drawl. Sentinel Prime “cleaned up” his speech a bit and trained him out of his tendency to mumble, but the drawl is bleepin’ obvious in the way he pronounces words. Optimus sounds funny when he speaks Rustian, but he speaks it correctly. He knows Rustians find his pronunciation hilarious and he’s fine with the teasing.
Regional Cybertronian accents (Rustian included) don’t show up when bots speak Earth languages because they download those and pick up whatever regional accent they scan off human voice transmissions, like people talking on cell phones, Skype and so forth.
Rustian has to be learned, so you can’t download it off a dead bot and suddenly be able to write / speak it. Only a native speaker of the language can teach it properly, and there’s a lot of nuance outsiders will never pick up and mimic perfectly.
Here’s a small taste of the language. One phrase will be familiar if you’ve been in the TF fandom for awhile.
Bah weep gragnah wheep nini bong is a universal peace greeting that means “I arrive at your presence peacefully and harbor no ill intent towards you”.
Bah weep is a greeting for when you’re arriving, literally “I arrive” or “I come”.
Nini weep is a greeting to somebody who is arriving, literally “you arrive” or “you come.”
Bah gneh is a farewell you say when you’re leaving, literally “I go”.
Nini gneh is a farewell you say when somebody else is leaving, literally “you go.”
The Rustians gave the Autobots and Decepticons nicknames in their language. Autobots are affectionately referred to “shinies” (ar ang) and Decepticons are derided as “sharpies” (ing arg). They refer to anyone in general who isn’t Rustian as nileeng. It’s a non-offensive term that means “others”.
The Rustian “I love you” is bah ethsteo nini.
Ultra Magnus’ name is still his Rustian name. Ult Ra Mag Nus. He’s got a name people can easily squish together and pronounce in Autobot, Decepticon and English. It means warrior elemental or warrior of the elements, and references an old story describing a Rustian who faces and overcomes the four elements-- ground, fluid, flame and air.
Rustian language sounds like total gibberish to someone unfamiliar with it. Listening to two native speakers of it sounds a lot like radio interference where two frequencies mix up because they talk fast. Optimus asked if he could utilize the spoken and written language as a code language. That was totally cool with the Rustians, and from then on you were likely to find a Rustian sitting in on listening posts and teaching Rustian in the Autobot Academy. They could relay information over Decepticon channels to help conceal Autobot frequencies, and the Decepticons still haven’t caught on to the trick.
Rustians like Ultra Magnus became the Cybertronian equivalent to Navajo code talkers. The written language looks like a bunch of dots, so somebody could carve or shoot holes in something to say “there’s 200 ‘Cons holed up here” or “Warning: Snipers” without alerting the Decepticons that they were onto them.
A Rustian who hasn’t scanned another planet’s vehicles looks distinctly different from other Cybertronians due to their protomatter coming from the Sea of Rust and living life where rust storms can scour a nice paint job off in a matter of hours.
Tumblr media
Rustians are matte and appear rusted, like old vehicles left out in nature for years and years, but they're in good physical condition. They don’t creak, they aren’t breaking down and they can move like any other bot.
Their optics are white, though a lot of them got blue filters voluntarily so people knew they were friendly to the Autobot cause, and they can turn the blue off any time they want.
White optics help them see and be seen in heavy rust storms where rust is blowing like sand. Rustians in their native environment will paint reflective stripes on their faces and wear a scarf around their neck with reflectors arranged in decorative patterns to aid in visibility, and they can flip the scarf over and scrape off the paint to camouflage themselves if they need to.
Their creation story says their optics are white because Primus swept the stars from the sky to light the Sea of Rust and the stars became the lens through which they see the beauty of the universe. Cybertron’s oldest star charts are Rustian in origin.
Rustians who scanned an alien vehicle are almost indistinguishable from any other Autobot, so you can’t spot them in a lineup unless you know what to look and listen for. Like all Cybertronians, Rustians don’t attach too deeply to their physical appearances aside from their dot glyphs. They keep those no matter what form they take, and they’re easy to miss. All Rustians have a dot glyph somewhere on their body, so those glyphs, an occasional glimpse of optics without blue filters and noticing an accent if they speak Autobot Cybertronian are the only hints that you’re talking to a Rustian.
Ultra Magnus’ dots are on the backs of his hands. He’s got a whole bunch of other Autobot Cybertronian glyphs on his body, kind of like somebody who has a lot of tattoos.
But Ultra Magnus isn’t the only Rustian. They are a minority in the sense of not many are left after war tore Cybertron apart, but they’re not in danger of going extinct.
So I headcanon an onscreen bot as also being Rustian because he’s got dots right smack out there on his chin.
Tumblr media
It’s green duster double-gun boi, aka Crosshairs.
Crosshairs goes by Crosshairs because the Autobots have a hell of a time trying to pronounce Kroz Stiz Ay Ras correctly (humans can’t either!) and he got tired of non-Rustians butchering it, so he goes by an Autobot approximation that doesn’t make him cringe. His Rustian name means aims well and swift because he’s ridiculously good at sharpshooting while moving fast.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I hinted that Rustian survives into the future in the same way languages evolve over time, but readers didn’t know it at the time because I hadn’t “brought out” my headcanon for Mags and Crossy yet. The roots of Rustian words still exist a trillion years after the Autobots first touched down on Earth.
In Tin Man’s Treasure, the main Trillian characters (distant techno-organic descendants of humans) are named Eth and Steo. :)

okay, so. most of the day was fairly boring lol as expected but tonight of course was super awesome. I had set a 1 pm wake up if you’re not already awake alarm but I ended up waking up to my phone buzzing right at 11 am, it was a Chicago number so I answered and chatted with this guy from this legal company that does boring shit like document review and is doing like part time temporary hiring projects, which would obviously be a short term fix as I’m still looking for full time employment, but they pay like $20 an hour (and you don’t technically have to be licensed for some of their stuff, so being that I am licensed I miiiiiight get to do some more intense stuff for more pay? Idk, have to see) so I have an 11 am Skype interview scheduled with them for tomorrow morning to chat about that stuff. I’m obviously not like dying to get this job or anything but it’d be nice to have some income while I’m still looking, like if I did like 15-20 hours a week that’s $300-$400 so that’s not insignificant. I’m just gonna be super upfront with them about the fact that I’m seeking permanent employment and if I start anything with them there is a solid chance I will up and leave with fairly short notice, and if they’re not okay with that then we won’t do it, but I get the feeling since a lot of their shit is short term they’ll probably be okay with it. So after I got off that phone call I looked up the number for Ulta and called them to push back my haircut appointment which was booked for 12, I was trying to do think if there was somewhere I could plant myself downtown and do a Skype interview to then just run to the appointment but I obviously don’t want to do like, starbucks, and beyond trying to sneak into my old student org office at school (that’s no longer mine obviously) there’s not very many options, so I was hoping we could just push the haircut back a bit till like 2 and she happened to have an opening then so that was perfect because she gets booked up fairly consistently, so I lucked out there. After that I was lazy and went on my phone for a bit before getting up and going on my laptop at the kitchen table while I ate breakfast and then eventually moved over to the couch and was just listening to podcasts while on my computer for a while, then ended up watching the pilot of the new amazon prime show “Hanna” that’s not actually premiering to March but they were making the pilot available for like 24 hours after the superbowl for some reason and I was fairly intrigued by that (I never did actually see the movie its based on) and it was okay I guess? I wasn’t like super enthralled in it but I may give it a try for a few episodes when it comes out. The main actress is pretty good, but she’s a lot older than I thought she was (she actually turns 19 like, today) when I thought she was more like 13 or 14. and she’s apparently not been in much of anything up to this point, so good for her. After that I just turned the tv off and listened to more Panic music since I downloaded a bunch last night on top of what I downloaded after the concert last week so I could be more familiar with that while doing some computer stuff and trying to get some more Batwoman comic reading done. I was trying to see what they had on DC Universe before switching over to Comixology (which I have to pay for) but they only have issues 1-12 of her new 52 run which is apparently significantly longer than that and I burned through those very quickly, and the other ones on there are basically just one-off appearances in a random Batman story. So I guess I’ll read those then see what I can get on Comixology (they apparently have a subscription thing now which may be more affordable than paying for each comic, I’ll have to see what’s the deal with that). Around 4:30 I started getting ready, tried to do my make up very carefully and ended up trying to use my liquid eyeliner on my bottom lid which I normally don’t do but I like accidentally got some on there when trying to get it on my top lid (not sure how I managed to do that) and wanted to see if I could do the rest. It turned out pretty good in the immediate aftermath at least, but when I got home it had migrated down my face a good bit which is basically my biggest pet peeve with black eyeliner so I probably won’t be doing that again (I’m gonna see if I can find a better one at Ulta/Sephora tomorrow, since I’ll be at the Ulta and there’s a Sephora down the street and I want to find something that’s a Sephora brand product. There’s apparently also a Sally’s around there which I may also hit up for some hair dyeing supplies). But I finished getting ready and got on the bus at like 5:30 to meet Jess at her work so we could go straight to the concert from there, I was supposed to get there slightly before she got off so she could use it as an excuse to leave but the bus was being uncooperative (as public transit often is) and I ended up not getting there until like right when she got off, but it wasn’t a big deal because we weren't really in a rush being that we knew Panic didn’t actually take the stage until like, 8:30 lol. We stopped at a mcdonalds drive thru on the way where we got twenty nuggets, two cokes, and a medium fries (it’s always a debate about how many nuggets to get, because Jess is like “but I want more than 10″ when we’re splitting 20 but it’s more expensive to order 30 nuggets than it would be to order 40 nuggets and that’s just way too many (we did try that once) so I was saying we could do a 20 and a 6 piece but ended up just going with the 20 for us to split. Drove the rest of the way out, the concert was out by the airport which is a bit of a hike but we’re used to going there because most Chicago cons are in a venue that’s right by there. There was fairly massive traffic getting into the venue, and we had some momentary panic (no pun intended) regarding paying for parking because we didn't have any cash and didn’t know if they’d take card, but luckily they did so that crisis was averted. of course it’s bullshit that they’re charging $25 to just park in their giant ass parking lot, but that’s life for ya. Once we parked we had to kinda run to the venue because it was cold and we were both bumming it without our regular coats (I had a leather jacket on) so we were happy when we got in there. Got in without issue, climbed up the stairs to the top level of course and found our seats. We were literally like, the furthest section back on the side before the other seats just weren’t sold because you couldn’t be able to see (the other half of our section was actually closed off) but despite that we actually had a fairly good view and could see most of everything, just mostly from a side view and sometimes the back, lol. I was pumped though because I spent like all of last week wishing I could relive the concert and now I was getting to do that, so I was very excited. The new perspective was interesting, we got to see things from different angles which was interesting, like him popping up onto the stage when he first came out and just jumps up so it looks like he just gets shot out at fairly high speed lol. The set list was the same of course, except I’ve been listening to the music all week and actually knew the vast majority of the songs this time and could sing along, so I felt accomplished for that. I did manage to take a good amount of videos that I posted all on my instagram story if you want to check those out (@ racheleiley) and this time I didn’t ugly sing while recording lol so they’re better quality than the ones from last week. But yeah it was really good, I still got super anxious and cringey when he was on the floating piano above the crowd and very clearly not strapped into anything and like, going to the edge of the platform and I like, couldn’t watch because it stressed me out too much lol but thankfully he made it back okay. When Girls/Girls/Boys came on we hadn’t gotten the little paper colored hearts to put over our cell phone lights this time because we were in the reject section that was mostly empty, but it was still enjoyable and he definitely had no less than 10 pride flags thrown onstage at him during it which he picked every single one up and draped them over him and he was like “this is a record” which was great. But yeah, I really enjoyed all of it. When he came back out for the encore someone threw a little teddy bear onstage and he was like “aw, this is the cutest teddy bear, I’m keeping this” and put it in his back pocket as he kept performing and it was really fucking cute lol. He must be in really good shape to be doing this sometimes multiple times a week because it’s so much energy expended and his voice is so strong to be able to handle it (makes sense that he did a stint on Broadway). But yeah, I enjoyed it a lot and got much better videos this time so I’m pleased with that. Once it ended we managed to get out of the parking lot relatively quickly, definitely a lot quicker than we expected because we kinda cut around part of the line to get to the exit faster (sorry not sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️) and then made it the rest of the way home, and Jess made me walk back to my place from her apartment instead of dropping me off which she could’ve VERY EASILY done, but she was being a butt and trying to get payback because she always has to make the walk when we hang out at my place (which we do the vast majority of the time). So I walked home, thankfully it wasn’t too cold, and then spent a while uploading the videos to my instagram story because it was being uncooperative while at the concert so I had to do them all after. My roommate got home shortly after I did and somehow managed to leave her keys in the front door, but now our front door wouldn’t unlock, so she was gonna go around the back to get to the front and asked if I had my front door key, which I thought she meant the front door to our apartment, so I gave her that she disappeared. Not long after I could hear someone calling my name so I went to the front door and was like ??? yes??? but she wasn’t at the door and I was thoroughly confused as to where she could be until it occurred to me that maybe she was locked outside, so I went down the backstairs to the back door where she was in fact stuck, we had a slight miscommunication on the key situation and she couldn’t get the front door of the building to open because I gave her the wrong key, whoops, but we got it figured out and fixed the door situation so that was good. After that was settled I got in the shower and started getting ready for bed and now I am here. I’ve been writing this post for about 40 minutes and it’s now 2 am, I have to get up at at least 10:30 tomorrow to make sure I’m presentable for the Skype interview so I think I should get to bed now. Goodnight loves. Have a lovely Tuesday.

How do you prepare for taking your kids out camping with you.
Hello! I'm a mother of 3-4 children. What is the reason I added an unidentified dash between numbers 3 and 4. I have four children. Two of the older boys are too far from being involved in family activities. Therefore, typically we only see one. The trip this year will include two girls who are younger as well as one of their boys. They must be at least 12 years old. Yes I am a cool mom, so my 14 year old son is staying home this time. hopefully he will not invite friends or make lots of bad choices however there was no way to take him alone, as he said that he wouldn't be leaving this weekend. Families love to talk about their camping experiences. There are many stories to be told at every gathering. This is because children are the center and the focus of our lives. Everyone needs to be aware of what the joy of life is. Since we take trips about every month, we've got a lot of stories to tell and a tale to fit every situation. The interesting thing is that none of this is made up. But of course there's time for getting there as well as going back home that are also part of the itinerary. There are times that it's rainy or bad weather. In these instances it is common for us to curl up in our tents to listen to TV or music. We play a lot of games, however of course there are times that we want to unwind after climbing the mountain or exploring caves nearby. That and time spent traveling in the car, - we have found a fantastic method of educating our kids as well as let them play on their devices.. We own an iPad that has a lot of space thanks to the many memory sticks that are installable, and which contain a wide range of video content for children and teenagers. It's been divided into two tablets in recent times. One is for teenagers and one is for children. They just require both in all times, which is why keeping two tablets in one place makes more sense.. One gadget is specifically designed to be used by children. It's now full of educational videos that will make them churn their brain slightly. You'll find clips of famous children's characters such as the baby sharks and teletubbies, too. Youtube hosts the majority of the videos. The first time we tried to connect to wifi while out there, in the woods but none of our hotspot toolkits could help, since our phones get out of the network's reach, and lose Internet, so nothing is left for hotspot. It's fine, we love the weather so it's easy to adjust to the absence of internet. We create video content before heading to the our campsite. The 3 most popular Youtube video download sites are Flvto, Y2mate and 2Conv. Then, we look up what the kids like and download the content. Each of them has advantages and cons. However I learned that if one cannot download an Youtube video the other two could be able to assist. But, Y2mate will usually be in a position to handle everything. Flvto or 2Conv are capable of handling certain videos that it refuses to download.
Tumblr media
You can search for YouTube videos with Y2mate. You can then input the annoying phrases your children have been singing from this song for the past week, and it will show up. You just select one of the choices and download the MP4 file on your computer and transfer it to the tablet or download it directly to your tablet, it's entirely up to you so long as it's within the WiFi access area which means you don't have to use the monthly limit of data. In case you have YouTube video playlists - you can copy the URL address and pass it to Y2mate, and it'll show an array of videos that you can choose from and download one by one. Y2mate is also capable of convert Youtube videos into MP3. Whatever the case we make at our house, download many videos for children, and then for teens only a handful of the most well-known music videos. Some converted to mp3, and some simply as mp4 videos, they love it, we don't have to worry.. We also have our own laptop that has an abundance of movies and TV shows. We downloaded HULU, Netflix and other applications on the laptop for us to stream movies and TV shows offline. It's very easy to download these. Click a button, leave it alone for a couple of days or hours, the title will be added to your library. It is now possible to click and watch anywhere and anytime, no matter where you are. It's not stored on your computer and you can play it whenever and wherever you want. The content will be instantly availableand you'll be able to connect to it from your computer or desktop. This one is what we cover, and only reveal it when the rain is too hard. We love to show our kids educational or DIY-related videos, but TV and movies are very useful to calm a family that's been in the tent for over 36 hours. These suggestions and tricks will hopefully help you plan your next camping trip. In these times of pandemics and all, it's good to get away, aids in getting back to basics, and re-learn how to live off the land, in a manner... Of course, we take food with us and do not forage, however, we do not avoid a meadow that is edible berries, no sir and we consume them! youtubesave
