Idk how to feel about her keeping the egg as an end to her story arc, but it's cute if nothing else. Lae'zel and her son Xan

Lae'zel's epilogue with Xan means a lot to me.

Earlier in the game, she's explicitly spoken about how she never wants to be pregnant herself, but she clearly gets a lot of happiness and joy from raising her adopted son.

I'm a woman. I never want to be pregnant. I'd like to raise a child someday. I've never seen myself represented this well before.

Plus the fact that her personality doesn't get subsumed by motherhood. She's still Lae'zel, a badass with a strong personality and her own goals. She just also happens to have a kid now.

I've been seeing stuff from the BG3 Epilogue about Xan and Lily.

WHAT IF they're setting us up for Baldur's Gate 4 by introducing new protagonists that could be companions? We'd have a Githyanki who was raised outside of Vlakith's control by Lae'zel and who was given the freedom of choice and possibly a child raised by Wyll Ravenguard himself (and even Tav) who grew up hearing the tales of the Great Illithid Invasion of 1492 and the companions her father fought alongside in that time.

I'm just saying, IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES.

I think I literally cannot avoid a sad elf when I see him. My Bhaalspawn, Storm, with Xan. They're miserable together. Which is better than being miserable alone! (I love how Baldur's Gate has multiple miserable elves to choose from.)
