Anyway I'm not gonna touch that internalized lycanphobia with a ten foot pole. Being turned by your partner is something that can be incredibly intimate as long as both parties are consenting and the one being turned is 100% sure they want it. Literally the only downside to transforming once a month is the pain, but midol works just fine. No one with these "lycanthropy bad" takes ever wants to discuss the legitimate positives that come with this "curse" lmao.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
Aside from being a werebear and the weed guy lol, he actually can sing and dance fairly well (even when drunk) but is, of course, too modest about it. He can also play the fife whistle/flute, knowing many old and some new folk songs.
He played it more frequently in his youth, especially with Thaniel. It was the little spirit's favorite and he always requested Halsin to play for him. They had even come up with their own tune together, but it never really graced anyone else's ears, if ever.
He found the instrument difficult to play after the disaster at Moonrise. It illicited too many somber memories to truly find the joy in it anymore. He might blow a tune here and there just to keep the skill sharp, but his heart had been weighed down so heavily that there was no room left for a whimsical tune.
But then one early morning in Rivington, the Tadfool camp hears an unfamiliar tune in the distance within the trees...
It's Halsin reviving Thaniel’s song.

On anon but. I'm someone who has detransitioned. I just want to say that, I was on HRT for about a year. It changed my body in ways that I absolutely love. I have a deep voice, and sharper features, and I have new perspective on my identity and how it interacts with the world. Being trans is a journey. From when I was five up to when I was 17, I fullheartedly believed I was a boy. I was, in that moment. But now, I'm a girl, too. I feel better as a girl - prettier, comfortable. But when I was a boy, I felt good too - in that moment, I was handsome, and I felt so so strong. It's not as scary as it seems. People ebb and flow and change. You can be what you want to be, and if ultimately you want to go back? You can. Just don't discount your experience as a mistake. In the moment it felt right. In the present is what matters.. You'll reflect on it, and maybe you won't ever change. Maybe it'll be what sticks. And that's a lovely thing in and of itself. You will find the you that fits. You will become someone you love by letting yourself express. I promise. Holding back will just mute everything that makes you, you - don't feel like you need to medically transition, either. It was right for me, but research is key, in all things. You'll be beautiful no matter what. Your experiences will shape you - as long as you allow yourself the freedom of expression. I promise.
this is so beautiful. the word detransition does seem to have a negative connotation in certain spaces and im really happy to hear u sharing your positive experience.

every time i start to feel cringe for being too deep in the hyperfixation i remember the intense depression i have waded through and have to remind myself that enjoyment is fleeting (so grab it with both hands), and life is for loving (so hold that love close), and if anyone thinks i’m cringe they must not be having a very good time (and i hope they can find a good time soon).
