Legitimately can’t believe I spent an entire week, hours on end making this ShikaTema iPhone iOS theme. ☠️ Seriously every time I update, which is like once a year or two, I know I’m in for 30+ hours of work (this one must’ve taken me something like 60+).
My main idea was to have each page represent and highlight one of their iconic moments from Naruto up till Boruto. The split color screen caused most of my headaches, although finding high quality screen caps, editing them, deciding what looked best and coming up with ideas was not fair behind. 🙃 I tried to make the icons look like clouds, they sort of do? Also the “smile quote” lives rent free in my brain so I had to add it. 😗

Headcanoning that Temari wore her two ponytails (both high and low) all throughout her 20s, but then once she reached her 30s she felt nostalgic about her old four pigtails and switched it back (you know how they say you tend to come back to what you loved in your teens in your 30s).
Shikamaru comes home and sees her with her iconic hairstyle once again and just stands there all open mouth, mesmerized and shocked, cause after almost 10 years he’s seeing her once again the way she looked when they first met, when he first fell in love with her. She just looks at him like, “what?” as if she there’s nothing different and he just smiles and goes “nothing.”
Pleaseeee no one touch me, I’m making myself teary eyed. 🥺

Omg!? I started making a ShikaTema playlist on Spotify weeks ago because of this song when I first heard it and I haven’t continued it, it’s still the only song on the playlist! 😂🤭 I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought SHIKATEMA with this song 😂👌🏻 I haven’t stopped thinking of making an AMV/Edit with it ever since either, literally was thinking about it today. 🤭
I can totally see Temari pining and thinking about all this while they are working at the Shinobi Union, helpppp! 😭

It truly amazes me that I can be so in love with a fictional character/ship for so long ? I rewatched all of Naruto this year and I was legit screaming and fangirling every single time Shikamaru and/or Temari showed up on screen and I’ve been doing this since I was 13!?
Not only that but I’ve rewatched all their interactions every other week for the past 18 years, (I’m just a tad bit crazy don’t mind me). I hold on to and cherish every single new moment, image, etc. that we get (the image of them in the Konoha Shinden manga this year, omg?). I truly feel like I grew up with these characters and saw their romance and character growth progress naturally over so many years along with them. I mean I was basically the same age as Shikamaru back in Naruto when I started watching and now I’m in my 30s same as them in Boruto. There’s definitely no other anime where I will be able to have that type of connection with.
Thinking about ShikaTema throughout the day makes me so happy. I always say I will be old and grey and still rewatching all their interactions, reading their fanfiction, scrolling through all the pretty fanart, aaaaa if I ever meet anyone in person who loves them as much as I do I swear we will become platonic soulmates. 😩👌🏻
Anyways here’s a photo of my little ShikaTemaDai wall grid I’ve been building. I can’t wait to update it after Japan. Petition for Temari to get more merch! My Queen deserves way better, I will be searching high and low for her merch while I’m there.

MY SHIKATEMA FANFIC RECS MASTERLIST PART 1
As someone who has been reading ShikaTema fanfiction for 18+ years, and who to this day reads it on a daily basis, I realized that I should probably make a fanfic recommendation post. I hope this is helpful to my fellow ShikaTema fans. I have read all of these multiple times over the years. I’ll be organizing them mostly based on setting/arc. Bold titles mean they are my all time favorites. I will place an M for Mature or any Explicit fics. I will be updating this list in the future, as I find more fics that I've might've missed in my favorites while writing this first draft, or as new fics are uploaded. Also can I just say how I can’t believe that I randomly decided to work on this throughout Shikamaru and Shikadai’s birthday?

Had such a fun time cosplaying one of my all time favorite characters, still feels like a dream 💜 I’ve heard people say that cosplay is “a love letter to a character” and this is truly my love letter to my QUEEN. I’ve been obsessed with Temari (+ ShikaTema) since I was 13 years old and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would cosplay her. As I was going through the photos that we took I ended up in tears, it felt surreal to see myself as my all time favorite female character. My friend also ended up cosplaying Hinata and as we were going around taking pictures through this beautiful location, it felt like we were truly them spending time together. It was a day I’ll never forget!

It’s that time of year where I change my iOS theme and after over nearly 30 hours of customizing and editing I’m finally satisfied with how it came out. The background was color modified from a background I found on Pinterest by Juliannyvnunes. I had a lot of fun messing around with different images and seeing what I could come up with and what looked best. Since we are both Cancers I had the idea of putting some symbols relating to that as well.

Expectation vs Reality
Expectation: So I totally understand this is a Shounen Manga and romance can’t be focused on much, so I'm fine as long as ShikaTema are shown married with kids in some sort of epilogue...
Reality: ShikaTema married with a son, ShikaTema realizing their feelings and getting together in Shikamaru Hiden, ShikaTema mentioned in Sakura Hiden being peachy and dating, being the first couple to get together, ShikaTema on the cover of Konoha Hiden with more ShikaTema interaction to come, Nara family in the mini series, ShikaTema...ShikaTema everywhere....

Never posted anything in the shikatema tag, but for the past few years I’ve been checking tumblr for any new shikatema hints/moments and ughhh now that they’re canon I’ve been in a state of bliss for the past 3 days. I have too many feelings and have to share them all. They’ve been my second otp of all time since I was 15 (now 22). To celebrate here’s an old video that youtube kindly deleted back in 2009.
My babies had a baby and I’ve seriously spent the past 3 days thinking of headcanons as I go about my daily life.
I wasn’t expecting anything amazing. I just wanted them in an epilogue confirmed, and that’s what we got, so needless to say I’m extremely happy ! And Shikadai is just perfect ! This family in general is just perfect ! I will never be over their perfection !
