Lucifer's trauma

I am so in love and fascinated by Lucifer's trauma (canon trauma, not all the stuff I put him through 😅). It had me wondering if anyone would be interested in reading me writing up a case study on him. I've been digging into learning more about trauma and mental health and currently in a 9 month trauma certification program - I'm like, "Let me just take what I'm learning and see how it applies to Lucifer" because this poor man has so much.

Anyone interested in reading if I dissect him a bit? 😄

Random Lucifer thoughts/ideas

A song I absolutely love of Phil Collins' came on my iPod (called "Come With Me") and it had me thinking of Lucifer singing it to Lilith and Charlie. It gives the vibe of a lullaby, and thinking the first verse - he's telling Lilith these things to comfort her after they were cast down into Hell.

I'll try to make the sun shine brighter for you And I will even play the fool if it makes you smile I'll try to make you laugh if there's a tear in your eye After all is said, after all is done, I'd do anything for you

**And for some reason, I picture him giving her away on her wedding day to Vaggie.**

THEN the idea came to mind of him saying it as a means of goodbye because Charlie & Vaggie are invited to come live in Heaven (along with Angel and Husk since they actually seem to want to try and better themselves in the show as opposed to Alastor who is content being an overlord in Hell), and he urges her to do it in order to have a better life. He promises that he'll continue on with her work at the hotel so she can see more sinners be redeemed, and it's all just super emotional

So even more then, it got me thinking just how much trauma this poor baby has starting with the Fall because he most likely had to keep it together for Lilith. He was probably scared, hurt, felt betrayed and all the things, but imagine how terrified Lilith must've been. She was placed on Earth in a beautiful garden and one decision - she's forever exiled into darkness. Lucifer can't focus on himself and how he feels; he has to be strong for Lilith and be there to comfort her. And then Charlie is born, and he again can't be concerned about himself; he has to be strong for both his wife and child now and keep them safe no matter what and make it the best he can for Charlie to have a good childhood. So when Lilith leaves, that's when he realizes he's not really needed anymore and has no idea how to handle it/what to do, and so he isolates and puts his focus on creating magic through his duckies so he doesn't have to face himself and all the trauma he never processed

Trauma is tough

Just finished writing the next chapter of "You Didn't Know" and my heart hurts 😅😢 (though writing the convo between Alastor and Charlie was fun, if not hard too)

I am loving delving into Lucifer's trauma and thinking about just how much he's been through (not just in this fic but actual canon) and how resilient he's been throughout it all. He's carrying so much.

If they don't give him a proper episode where they treat him seriously like they did for Angel, I revolt.

I wanted to give up writing this because this chapter was so difficult! It always is when you have a sex scene. least for me. 😅 Here, we get to see what heightened levels of angelic blood can do....

Trying to write a sensual scene and I just want to give up. They're so hard.

But I can't skip or gloss over this part because it's too important for the bonding that's budding between these two.

I just want to skip ahead to the very important request Lucifer eventually asks of Alastor that has to do with them both getting high off the other's blood, and Alastor is shocked by the trust placed in his hands (and doesn't want to do it, but Lucifer is desperate).

Or the other request Lucifer makes of him that again, he can only entrust to Alastor....

Good morning, my king

(tagging all the fandoms I've written fic for recently because I'm curious how y'all are!)

This came to mind after my therapy session today and how no one I know IRL (save for a very select few) know my online life because I fear I'd be judged for the kind of content I write and enjoy seeing art of.

My friend told me about some of the Hazbin fandom talking about giving Charlie the Hades treatment in that Charlie is delivered stillborn and Lucifer brings her back to life.

My spin on this as I'm thinking today:

Lilith is devastated and inconsolable over Charlie being stillborn and blames Lucifer. Lucifer, crushed by the grief from losing his miracle and only child, tries and tries to bring Charlie back to life, but he can't. One night as he's cradling Charlie in his arms, he prays that he'd give anything to have her alive. A deal comes down from Heaven stating in exchange for granting his daughter life, he must give up the safety of his own people. Lucifer, in all of his desperation, agrees, and thus the exterminations begin.

He had no idea Charlie would grow up to have a heart like he once did and see the good in others. Because of how upset and pained she is by the exterminations and how she's wanting to make things right, Lucifer asks Heaven what can be done to stop them. They say Charlie's life in exchange for ending the purges. He argues it was his fault to begin with - he made the original deal - he should be the sacrifice.

And so he is.
