for the control room i had change a lot of the stuff in the dae file because blender dies when you give it things more than 63 characters long, and i accidentally included the scripts i used to fix that in the zip, but thats fixed now, new link

hello! sorry if this is a big ask and it's no problem if you can't do it but could you get the spire of order or the control room (also from side order)? also how ya doing? i heard you have a lot of requests, i hate to be another annoyance in a pool of requests but i have a mac and can't use toolbox :( have a good day

as for the control room i fiddled around until i got this, unfortunately looks like it doesn't have the weird effects inside of the arms, i think it's to do with particles? not sure

if you have this setting enabled i cannot add you! my main is @ranidspace so you have to be following that to work, you can unfollow afterwards, or turn on dms and then turn if off when you get it, either works.

also if you have this on under "visibility", i also cannot add you to the community, i might be able to but it's harder and i have to follow you, and even then it doesn't work

if you don't get ur invite within a day (check the dms of your main blog) check these settings and dont be afraid to ask again!

i'm able to invite more people to the splatoon tumblr community so if u wanna get added just reply to this with on your main blog and make sure your DMs are enabled

the main problem is that often times if something is a solid colour, such as the roughness or emission colour being uniform on the entire thing, it doesnt get exported at all, due to being a parameter rather than a map. I'd have to rewrite the switch toolbox dae exporter for that though...

one of the things that was so tiring about doing this blog is that i needed to manually do all the materials because the blender dae importer is ass and dae itself isnt too great either.

If i wanted to see a model in blender rather than just in switch toolbox, i'd have to import it, then individually, on every material, on every object, add all the images, set everything to non-colour (you guys are setting your normal/roughness/metalness textures to "non-colour" right?) and plug everything in. it took ages with anything more than like 5 materials on it.

buttt i made a python script and it just quickly imported about 40 models and the material setup was flawless for i'd say 90% of them. I'm working on that 10%, and maaaaybe turn it into a blender plugin so stay tuned

Could we get some refs of the hero gear (base, armor upgrades, and space) and the fuzzy octolings gear? Also I think the fuzzy octolings have different pants that the players can't wear?

Also I've heard that the deep sea metro pants are in the game for the octoling amiibos and that there are unused masc/fem versions of the skirt and pants and I was wondering how different they look compared to the amiibo (not as prioritised as my want for story mode gear refs so you don't have to find these if you don't wanna!)

ough this was a lot of work so i actually wrote a script in blender to automatically do some of the dumb material stuff so it's easier for me to do this in the future!

also i completely forgot about the pants! so it's a bit lower quaality than the rest sorry

so quickly before i go to bed:

neo 3 has a pair of sweatpants, captain 3 has really ripped up pants.

The fuzzy octolings do have a unique pair of pants, along with a male version we never see in game i dont think

and there are unused masc and fem variations of all the agent 8 pants/skirts, and i think the amiibos just use 2 of these, i cant find any other pants with this

the masc versions are the same just a bit slimmer around the butt.
