"Best Friends"

Gou was acutely aware of his own flesh.

Of course, he’d inhabited the same body his whole life, but there was something odd and foreign about it. Something was missing. And it made Gou miserable. When he was little it wasn’t so bad. A baggy shirt and shorts were all it took to get the message across. And his friends were supportive. Well, friend singular. When he and Koharu played house it was always understood that he’d play the “dad”. When they played pokedolls she was the Clefairy and he was Gengar. Things were simple, almost painless. He may not have had many pals but he was on top of the world.

It wasn't until puberty that everything changed. That he changed. Gou could not bear to look at himself in the bathroom mirror after his long showers. His male classmates were growing taller, stronger, hairier, and he was not. So he withdrew from them, even more than before, masking his fierce loneliness with an air of faux grandiose. He withdrew from Koharu too, not like they weren’t growing apart anyway. Her heart was set on finishing school and he had no plans to step foot in that building again.

Would catching Mew make him feel like a man?

It wasn't until he met Satoshi that everything changed. Again. After the pair had sailed the skies atop Luigia’s back, Gou decided Satoshi was his friend, no take-backs and no refunds.

His first real friend.

Satoshi had been by his side when Gou caught his first Pokemon and subsequently lost his first battle. He’d been there when he left Kanto for the first time. Galar, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Johto…Thanks to Satoshi’s friendship, he’d been to places he’d never even dreamed of visiting. Beheld Pokemon he didn't even know existed. And Gou couldn’t deny, that finally having another male companion was weirdly authenticating.

Gou didn't know how it happened. Sometime after dozens of sleepovers in the Sakuragi Institute and countless long train rides where the pair would talk like they’d known each other their whole young lives. Gou’s boyish fondness for his newfound friend metamorphosised into something more. Something foreign. Something that made his cheeks flush and his heart lurch. Something that occupied his mind many a night as he listened to Satoshi slumber in the bunk bed above. And it scared him.

He’d known for a while that dudes could like dudes and chicks could like chicks. Hell, he was pretty sure Koharu swung that way. But did Satoshi like guys? And if he did, would he like a guy like Gou? Would anyone?

One quiet night at Sakuragi Park Gou decided to bare his soul to his friend. And on that same night, Satoshi had taken Gou’s face in his hands and dispelled his every worry.

His first kiss. Had it really been six months since then? And they’d done much more since then. As much as Gou hated his body, Satoshi was the only one he trusted with it. The only one he’d-

“Gou?” Satoshi eyed him quizically. “Hey, you okay?”

Gou shook his head, realising he’d been swept away in thought. “Sorry, man, I was just thinking.”

“About what?”

Gou smiled, “Just…us.”

“Awe,” Satoshi leaned forward and planted a kiss on Gou’s cheek. “That’s real cute, but you missed the best part!” he gestured theatrically at the television set.

It was some Unovan Pokewood flick Gou had hardly been paying attention to.

“Oh come on, this movie is so corny,” Gou chuckled, rolling his eyes, “obviously Typhlosian is gonna beat Mega Tyranitar and save the city.”

“Hey, no spoilers!”

This time they both laughed. Satoshi fished the remote from between the couch cushions and flipped off the television. The living room was a bit darker now.

“Well,” Satoshi began, rocking lightly, “what do you wanna do now? Mom doesn’t get back until 10 and it's only 8:30’.”

Gou looked away shyly, “I mean, we could take advantage of the privacy…” He wasn’t nearly as forward as he wished he was, but luckily Satoshi seemed to get the message.

With a Thievel-like grin, Satoshi reached out to guide Gou’s chin with his finger until they were facing one another again. Gou parted his lips and within seconds the other boy was upon him. Gou sighed longingly as their tongues met, swirling about, and they melted into one another. Craving something to fill his hands, Gou abruptly grabbed his mate’s ass and squeezed. Satoshi moaned needily into his mouth and Gou could feel him growing against his thigh. In a similar vein, his boxers began to feel damp.

Craving more stimulation Gou bucked his hips against his friend’s erection, and Satoshi followed suit, grinding into him, rocking his hips deliberately as he withdrew his tongue to nibble on Gou’s lip.

Gou mewled at the contact, “Satoshi…” Arceus, he was embarrassing himself.

“Gou…” Satoshi returned.

“Satoshi? Um…”

“What’s up?” he sat up.

Gou racked his brain for the right words. He was never the most vulnerable guy around. “Is it okay if we,” he gulped, “go upstairs?”

Satoshi’s, usually the feistier of the two, turned impossibly red. “Like to my room?”

Gou waved his hands awkwardly “Ah well uh, we don’t have to! It was just a suggestion!”

“No it’s okay,” he took one of Gou’s frantic hands and smiled tenderly at him, “I’d…like that.

Gou’s stomach did several seismic tosses as the two ascended the stairs to the second floor. He’s been to Satoshi’s house before, but that was during the day. And he’d been in Satoshi’s room, but that was while Ms Hanako or Mr Mime had been home.

They situated themselves atop Satoshi’s bed, silently save for the creek of the old bedframe. The heavy petting did not resume immediately, however. There was a thick uncertainty lingering in the air, a presence that was absent every other time they’d made out or grinded. If it weren't for the streak of intrusive moonlight from the bedroom window, Gou wouldn’t be able to see Satoshi’s uncharacteristically bashful visage.

“So,” Gou began, in the most nonchalant tone he could fake, “whatcha thinking?”

“You’re so fucking beautiful.”

That was it. Gou’s heart could have lept from his chest right then and there. Shit, it could have exploded with how fast it was beating. “Uh, what?” Was all he could manage. He felt light-headed.

“Sorry. I just was like. Looking at you and…uh-”

“N-no it's fine!” Gou sputtered, “I think you’re uh. Very pretty. I mean handsome!”

Satoshi rocked back and forth and gave a nervous, but genuine, chuckle, “Thanks, man.”

The few seconds of silence that followed felt like aeons to Gou. At last, he took a deep breath and decided to say what was really on his mind. “Satoshi, do you remember last week at the forest?”

“Heh, yea. That was fun.”

“It was…but do you remember what you said afterwards?” He turned away sheepishly. “How you wanted to, um, be close to me?” Gou observed Satoshi’s rocking speed increase from the corner of his eye.

“Yea, I do…But I know you don’t really like taking your pants off so-”

“I think I’m ready.” Gou cut him off, squeezing his eyes shut as if that would somehow mitigate the embarrassment of being vulnerable. “I really like you and…I just know you’re the one I want to…do this with, okay?”

Satoshi exhaled, “Yea…yeah, okay.” He laughed again, “Wow. It’s not like me to be anxious like this.”

“If you don’t want to-”

“No!” He grabbed both of Gou’s hands, forcing their gazes to meet, “I want this more than anything right now.”

Gou took a deep breath. For once, his confidence felt real. “Then I’ll start!”

Satoshi’s eyes widened as Gou threw off his grey sweatshirt. Then, with a much slower pace, he peeled off his tank top, discarding it beside the other garment.

Satoshi raised an eyebrow, “Aren’t you forgetting something?” His classic playfulness had returned.

“I’ll unbind once I see some skin, buddy.” Gou teased back.

“Oh yea?” With that remark, Satoshi rid himself of his single-striped tee shirt in one motion.

Gou hadn’t considered how little layers his mate wore compared to him and felt silly. But a deal was a deal. “You wanna do the honours?”

“Hell yea!” He leaned in, one hand resting on Gou’s slender waist while the other eagerly unzipped Gou’s binder, freeing the boy’s tits. He then slid the spandex thing off his brown shoulders.

Gou pulled his companion in close and kissed him passionately, their bare chests pressed against each other’s. “We’re halfway there…” he whispered.

He grazed downwards, to suck on Satoshi’s neck, meanwhile, the other boy was shimmying out of his shorts and…

Gou gasped when he realised the length he felt against his thigh was bare and damp. He glanced downwards.

“Well…here I am.” Satoshi said in an undertone. A smirk was plastered across his tanned face but he was blushing heavily. “And you?”

There was a herd of racing Rapidash in Gou’s chest. For a moment it felt like the room was spinning. He closed his eyes, and with all the courage he could muster, he grabbed the elastic of his sweatpants and underwear and began to slide them off. “Well,” He sighed plaintively, “this is me.”

“Whoa.” Satoshi beamed tenderly, “Awesome.”

Gou was acutely aware of his own flesh. Had been for a long, long time. He avoided looking at himself, but now, his first friend was looking at him. All of him. And it wasn't so bad. He’d go so far as to say it was, “Amazing.”

“What is?” Satoshi asked.

“You.”

“Heh.”

“Can I…?”

Gou reached forward and drew his finger along Satoshi’s sensitive length eliciting a shudder. Want, and awe mixed with a peculiar envy swirled about his heart. Satoshi closed his eyes and breathed out before slumping forward, resting his head between his companion’s bare neck and shoulder. So Gou added a second finger, and a third and a fourth until he was gently grasping his full arousal.

“Gou…” he whimpered.

Guided by instinct alone, Gou stroked up and down, rotating his wrist like the throttle on a motorbike. The sounds Satoshi made were too much for him to handle, so needy and desperate…before he knew it, his other hand was fumbling the entrance of his wetness, whimpering as he did so. He rarely touched himself but he couldn’t help it.

Satoshi opened his eyes once more and observed Gou’s plight, “Gou,” he murmured, “let me see.”

Gou shook his head, “Are you sure?” he whined. Sure his friend claimed he didn’t care what kind of guy he was, but was that really true? If he saw…it, would he be as grossed out as Gou was?

Satoshi took the hand Gou was prodding himself with and replaced it with his own, “Let me take care of you…” He drew circles with a curious finger around Gou’s opening, then carefully he slid the digit up and down his labia, over and over again.

“Arceus…” Gou swore, “How do you know how to..?”

Satoshi snickered, “I’ve seen a few videos.” He pressed himself into Gou, guiding him down onto his back until he was nearly on top of him. “These have been pretty neglected, haven't they?” He latched on to one of Gou’s nipples and began to tend to it.

Gou cried out at the stimulation, the pressure growing in his loins was enough to burn. When Satoshi slid in a digit it was as if he’d been hit with a Blazing Torque.

“Satoshi,” Gou groaned, “I think…I think I’m ready.”

“I think I’m ready too, Gou.” Satoshi breathed, “Oh, hold on.” he gently withdrew himself and leaned over to the bedside drawer, withdrawing something flat and foil. “I borrowed this from Mom’s room.”

It was a condom. Nidoking brand.

For Gou, this raised quite a few questions about Ms Hanako, but those could wait. Right now all he cared about was having Satoshi inside of him. Making Satoshi his forever.

Satoshi undid the foil packaging and clumsily readied himself. “O-okay!”

Gou was too excited, too in love for fear or even shame. He opened his arms to embrace Satoshi completely. And when the other boy’s arousal finally found his opening, they became one. They rocked their bodies together in a rugged rhythm, Satoshi thrusting greedily. When they kissed again Gou was transported to another world, it was sloppy and frenzied, their wet lips and tongues sliding about, unable to quite latch on with all the motion. Then Gou began to sob.

Satoshi immediately pulled back, startled and concerned, “Gou?! Are you okay? Am I hurting you?”

Tears streamed down Gou’s face, as he reached out a hand for Satoshi to grab. “Satoshi,” he choked out between pants, “you’re my best friend…you’re my best friend, Satoshi.”

Tears now graced the edges of Satoshi’s eyes and tumbled down until he began to cry as well, “You’re my best friend, Gou. I love you. I love you so much.”

“I love you too,” He wiped his face with the back of a sweaty hand, “now come on, keep going!” He teased.

Determined, Satoshi took hold of Gou’s hips and rocked aggressively, “Gou, I think I’m gonna…”

Pressure built in Gou’s lower abdomen like a pot of water nearing its boiling point. “It’s okay, me too, we can finish together.”

Within moments, Gou’s body went limp and he saw stars, Satoshi following suit with a great spasm of his hips. All the pair could do was lay there uselessly, thoroughly exhausted by their first endeavour.

After a minute or so of awkwardly ridding himself of the ravished condom and a quick trip to the bathroom to flush it, Satoshi was back in bed arms wrapped around his beloved, this time under the green covers.

“I never thought I’d be able to do…that” Gou mused drowsily.

“Well, I’m sure glad we did,” Satoshi replied, nuzzling into Gou’s dishevelled hair.

“It’s 9:30 by the way. We should probably clean up before your mom-”

Satoshi planted a soft finger on his best friend’s supple lips. “Five more minutes, won’t hurt.”

But before long, the two best friends had dozed off.

In The Wild

Alright guys, here I am. Four years late to SatoGou.

Satoshi sat propped up against the tall tree, resisting the urge to nod off beside his slumbering Pikachu. How long had they been out in this forest anyway? These were all Pokemon that he had seen and caught before, with his old pals. And while he admired Gou’s vigour, the guy had an enthusiasm for the Pokedex that rivalled his own, he was getting bored. The humming of Beedrill and Venomoth was lulling him to sleep.

Conversely, Gou was exploding with energy as he dashed about the clearing, sending Pokeballs flying every which way. Even little Scorbuny was lagging, struggling to keep up with its determined trainer. While in pursuit of a wild Venonat, the rabbit Pokemon stumbled a bit before collapsing onto the soft grass with an exhausted huff.

“Yo, Scorbunny!” Gou bent down to check on his partner, his sweatshirt riding up his back as his rear went into the air.

Now this was a sight Satoshi didn’t mind. His hand slid down to the crotch of his tightening shorts and suddenly he felt very awake. “Hey, Gou,” Satoshi called out as he crawled sneakily towards the other boy, “I found a fat Metapod for ya.”

“Really? I don’t think I have that one yet, Thanks Satoshi!” Oblivious to his rival’s facetiousness, Gou continued to jostle Scornbunny, “If I could just get lazy bones over here to wake up-”

A lascivious grin spread across Satoshi’s face, and he resisted the urge to laugh, which would blow his cover as he approached Gou. “Yup, it’s right…here!”

Satoshi pounced like a hungry Arcanine, wrapping his arms around the unsuspecting Gou. The tent in his shorts expanded further now that it had finally made contact with the other boy’s ass.

Gou let out a yelp before fumbling for the Pokeballs in his pockets, quickly storing Scorbunny away before it could wake up and bear witness to his ‘assault’. “S-seriously, man?” Gou sounded irate but the strong blush that painted his features gave him away.

“Gooootcha!” Satoshi laughed as he began to rock his hips, excitedly.

“You really can’t-nghh! Control yourself, can you?” Gou said lowly, with a smirk.

“Not with you around…” Satoshi replied honestly. He slipped one of his eager hands underneath Gou’s sweatshirt, and crept it up until his fingers met…spandex. “Oh come on!” he groaned in defeat, struggling to get his fingers under Gou’s binder. “You don't have to wear that dumb thing when it’s just the two of us,” he pouted.

Gou stuck his tongue. “Come on, dude, get off me so I can take it off-whoa!”

Without warning, Satoshi yanked on the garment with both hands, sending it and Gou’s sweatshirt over his head. “Heh, I think I got it,” The spikey-haired trainer boasted. His hands resumed their desired position, cupping Gou’s small breasts.

A quiet moan escaped Gou’s lips. He’d be lying to himself if he said this contact was anything other than heavenly, however, he could not help but also feel rather exposed like this. Sure, the two of them had fooled around in his bunk bed back at the Sakuragi Institute, where Prof or Koharu could walk in at any moment. There had even been times when Gou had squeezed Satoshi’s butt or given him a peck on the cheek in public when no one was paying attention. But actually going at it outside?

“Satoshi…” Gou whispered, “What if someone sees?”

“Like who, Venonat?” Satoshi teased, “That guy does have really big eyes…”

Gou rolled his eyes, but couldn't stop himself from laughing, “Seriously dude, what if another trainer finds us?”

“Eh, no one’s gonna come.” Satoshi muttered nonchalantly, “Plus, Pokemon do it out here all the time.”

“You’re so dumb,” Gou laughed, though he could not deny something was alluring about the idea of getting railed in the wild…not that he and Satoshi had even done it for real yet and their first time probably would not be here. His briefs grew wetter at the thought, combined with the sensation of Satoshi’s tip rubbing brazenly against the slit beneath his sweatpants. “Satoshi?” He finally said.

“Yeah?”

“Bite my neck.”

The movement stopped and there was silence, save for the rustling of Pokemon in the greenery. Had he taken the joke too far?

“...Satoshi? Ah!”

Gou moaned desperately as teeth dug into his bare skin. Satoshi had picked up the pace of his thrusts, growling as he did so, the two bodies shaking violently in the secluded forest.

“R-roll over, Gou.” Satoshi panted, and Gou obliged, scrambling to wrap his arms around his neck and his legs around his waist.

Satoshi buried his face in Gou’s chest, sucking and nibbling aggressively, soliciting sounds sweeter than any Meloetta song.

It really hit the spot. The friction against his clit through the fabric of his damp pants, the ravishing of his sensitive chest. Gou couldn't help but cry out, hardly noticing the flocks of startled Pidgey erupting from the trees. It was nothing like the secret activities he and Satoshi shared in the Institute at night, out in the wild he could scream. He couldn’t imagine anything better than this, except maybe…

Satoshi gasped, then collapsed into Gou’s chest breathing heavily.

Gou ran his slender fingers through his friend's mess of black hair, before lifting his face to look into his eyes, “Did you have fun?” He asked breathily.

Satoshi nodded blithely as if in a daze, and leaned in to kiss him, moaning into Gou’s mouth as he sucked his bottom lip.

“Hey, Satoshi,” Gou started nervously. He took a deep breath, squeezed his eyes shut, and then finally blurted out, “Do you have…a condom?”

Satoshi pulled back, his face redder than a tamato berry. “No!” He exclaimed. Suddenly the brazen trainer was quite shy, “Why would I, uh, have one of those?”

Gou was even redder than he’d been when they’d started their frottage, “Ah, okay.” he murmured.

Satoshi regarded him with an apprehensive curiosity then swallowed before asking, “Why do you ask, Gou?”

Gou looked away, “I guess I just…like being close to you.”

An unspoken, and slightly awkward understanding rested between the two young trainers as they lay on the grass. At that moment it felt like they were the only two trainers in the forest.

“Yea…” Satoshi kissed him tenderly on the forehead, “Me too, Gou.”

All of a sudden, Gou giggled, first quietly, then he burst out into a full-on fit of laughter.

“Huh? What is it?” Satoshi asked, rolling onto his back.

“I was just thinking,” Gou spoke, finally collecting himself, “I bet we could get condoms from Professor Sonia and Leon.”

Satoshi’s eyes widened, “Really?”

“Duh! I know those two are going at it.”

“Does Professor Magnolia know?” He said in a whisper.

At that, they both grabbed their bellies as they guffawed, the tension in the air broken.

Gou sighed, before wiping a laughter-induced tear from his eye. “I love you Satoshi.”

“What was that?” Satoshi half laughed, half asked, still recovering from his own joke.

“Heh,” Gou turned to plant a kiss on Satoshi’s cheek, “It’s nothing, man.”
