Peace is something deeply needed for today.  Not just for the selves, but for the collective and for the bigger energy of the world.  There is so much at stake right now, and everything is a delicate balance, even if we cannot perceive this ourselves in this time.

We must keep things in balance as much as possible while big energies pour in and we manifest what is to come.  Everything we do right now is a butterfly effect that shapes our world and what is created for all.  So, even if you feel that you are one tiny creature in a never-ending, expanding world of life, you must remember that the ones make up the many.  And the many push out a surge of emotions and energy that shapes everything that we experience!  Everything you do becomes sacred in that it is an act of creation.

We are all struggling right now- so much is happening.  I pulled some cards around the theme of ‘Peace’.  Three cards- all upside down- indicating that we, the collective, have not mastered them <yet> but they are there for the taking.  We are more than capable of applying these in small ways in our own lives.  And the ones create the many and the many create the world.

Strength: This card symbolizes the deep inner strength we feel when we are grounded and centered in our own selves.  This card is a reminder to slow down and do your grounding.  Breathe, meditate, dance, exercise…do the thing or create the routine that will help you feel grounded and strong.  This will help you to approach challenges with calm confidence instead of reactive frustration.

Patience:  This card is all about approaching goals and relationships with an understanding that it takes time and effort to build anything worth-while.  It is a reminder to have realistic patience around your goals, instead of expecting instant gratification.  To build any strong relationship, career, or community bond, you must put in effort and pay your dues.  This can take time, but usually ends with a long lasting and rewarding result.  (This is particularly true during Mercury Retrograde!  Don’t make any snap decisions or big changes during this emotionally charged time! !!)

Mystery:  Oooo.  This one is a message we all need to hear at one time or another.  Sigh.  This card basically says that if you feel like you are struggling with a situation/relationship, and you cannot find an obvious reason on the surface, perhaps you should try some deep self-reflection. This card is about shadow work and coming to terms with inner challenges and triggers that might be affecting how you relate to others in your life at this time.  Not exactly what you want to hear, but maybe exactly what you need to hear.

Mercury Retrograde starts tomorrow on top of a Full Moon.  Today is the 9/9 Gateway.  So, we are hit with the 9/9 Portal, a Full Moon, and Mercury Retrograde all right in a row.  Intense much?

I keep seeing a door, flying open, as all this intense energy comes flooding through.  It will be a lot all at once, but if we flow with it, instead of trying to fight it, it will help us to grow, heal, and evolve.

I pulled a card from my mythology deck to see what the guides have to say about this, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a more appropriate card!

The Hydra:  This was the many headed serpent monster that Hera trained in hopes that it would kill Heracles.  Basically, this beast was almost impossible to kill.  Every time Heracles cut off one head, two new heads grew in it’s place.  He could not kill it using his usual fighting tactics.  So, he took a step back and came up with a new approach.  He cut off each head and then cauterized the stump before two heads could grow back, and this is how he defeated the Hydra.

The moral of the story: If the way you are handling challenges in your life are not working for you, take a step back and consider other options, and try again until you find something that works.

This is the best advice that I can think of for Mercury Retrograde Season!

Mercury Retrograde is seen as a time where everything that can go wrong will go wrong.  But really, it is a time of Do-Overs.  It is a phase that brings us problems and challenges that we were not able to conquer in the past, so that we have a chance to try a new tactic and succeed.  It might not be the most fun, but it is a chance to understand what repeating patterns of behavior we are stuck in that might be holding us back in life.

So- try to stay positive and take advantage of all this intense energy that is ready to carry you forward in your life!

9/9 Gateway:  Endings & Completions.  Out with the old (with gratitude for lessons learned) and in with the new!

Full Moon:  Release what is no longer serving you in your life.  Set your intention to let go of anything that is holding you back in your life.

Mercury Retrograde:  Defeat the damn Hydra 

Today I pulled 3 cards to see what phase we are in right now. We- as the collective, as starseeds, and as souls who have been at this same point in another lifetime.  A different timeline where hate, anger, and fear led us to see great loss and pain that we still carry with us today.

Another time, another planet, other species.  Terrible wars where everyone lost.  Many of us from that lifetime have incarnated here, in this time with the hope that, in this incarnation, we can choose a different ending.  We will continue to repeat what we fail at, each incarnation layering on more pain and loss, until we remember that we are all connected and love is the answer in all things.

I hear people discuss “us vs them” on many levels: gender, politics, race, nations, galactic species, and so on.  How many levels will we climb with this concept that will always divide and ensure our failure?  If we get past ‘man vs man’, will we move on to ‘man vs other galactic races’? And then ‘universe vs universe’ & ‘timeline vs timeline’; and on and on and on?  When does this end?  Is this a never-ending, self-imposed loop that just keep us distracted from ever truly ascending?

These cards represent three of the phases that the collective is faced with at this time.  If a card is pulled right side up, it means that we are currently in this phase.  A card that is upside down indicates that we have not yet started this phase.  In this case, we must complete the phase that we are in before we can move forward.

1.Trust -We are currently in the “Trust” phase:  This is a time where we need to turn inward and trust our own intuition and capabilities.  To do this, we must listen to and believe our inner knowledge and understanding of the world- even if it takes us out of our comfort zone.  This is where we begin.

2.Change -We have yet to move into this phase.  We will soon be faced with bigger changes than we can even imagine.  If we learn to truly connect to our inner infinite-soul, and trust in our own gifts and intuition, we will be able to flow and thrive in all of the new situations that will arise in our world.

3.Focus -We have yet to move into this phase.  Each one of us has a reason to be here in this life- at this specific time in earth’s history.  We will soon be called to step up and fulfill our life purpose.  This card brings the specific message to focus on the task at hand without distraction.  In fact, it says to “Put on the blinkers and do not listen to gossip and negative people”.   It is crucial that we learn now to step away from the constant flow of divisive, distracting opinion and information that fills our world.  We must master this now so that, in the coming times of great instability, we do not get distracted and fail to accomplish what we came here to do.

You cannot move forward without looking back. and so it is

It is a mistake at this time to ignore all aspects of our history <of living beings and the many incarnations of life on this earth>.

We cannot correct our world without working with all aspects of self...as singular beings and as the greater collective. Humans were not the first incarnation of life on this earth. And many of us know this, but the history is complex and painful.

As they come from the darkness, they are surrounded by light.

"We are the poison, but we are also the antidote"

Man can do little to fix anything without opening up to all beings that are walking with us towards the light. We judge and cast stones as we ask others to see our light and forgive us our past darkness. We are but another version of the ones that we judge. There is little difference between us. We look upon them with fear just as other societies look at humans with fear. It is like looking in the mirror. We must listen with our intuition and our hearts to recognize the vast differences in the beings that we judge. Just as there are positive and negative humans...light & dark...so it is with the original dwellers of the many incarnations of earth. We must open our eyes to see instead of letting the fear spread by others close our minds.

We cannot move forward without looking back. And so it is.
