She started off not knowing anything about volleyball, terrified of the rest of the team, clung to Kiyoko as her lifeline, since Kiyoko was in fact the reason Yachi was in the club at all. 

Yachi not only created posters to help fund the trips, tutor Kageyama and Hinata so they would pass, but she has developed strong healthy relationships with the rest of the team. 

She’s grown so much since her debut. She is criminally underrated.

This scene was after Karasuno won their match against Inarizaki, she was crying tears of joy. 

She was so happy that they had won, she was so, so proud of them.

The team grew to be more than ‘just a club’ to her, she’s giving it her all, not ‘half-assing’ it as her mother said previously.

Talking about her mother, let’s get back to how Yachi declared she would become the manager for Karasuno and that ‘Townsperson B can fight too’. I’m not sure if you know how hard it is for someone like Yachi to stand up to a parental figure, but it’s difficult. 

Yachi spent majority of her life striving for her mother’s praises, she’s forgotten about herself. Her mother just wanted Yachi to find something she can dedicate her time to, not waste her life trying to please her. 

Yachi’s mother teared up after hearing Yachi declare she will become the manager for a team because she was proud of her. She’s finally learning to grow a backbone for herself.

She’s finally learning to fly.

Yamaguchi, as captain giving his last speech at the end of his third-year: And last of all, I’d like to thank myself for never giving up and working endlessly-
