If you like someone, wait.
Give lots of compliments, even if youâre shy. Everyone else is too.
Change. Get a haircut, try new perfume, get new sheets. Become better than you were before.
Eat healthier. Learn to cook something fancy.
Get up earlier and watch the sun come up.
Wear soft clothes, take a bath, drink something warm.
Meet someone new, even just a friend.
Become closer with your friends and your family. Call your mother. Cry with your best friend. Tell everyone how much you appreciate them.
Keep your room clean. Buy some candles. Let the natural light in.
Make a list of reasons why youâll be better off without them. Believe they are true, because they are.
Listen to new music.
Write everything youâre thinking and feeling. Write letters. Write happy letters, sad letters, and angry letters, even if youâre never going to send them.
Itâs okay to be sad, but not forever. Sadness is not as beautiful as music makes it seem. Lack of sleep makes your eyes droopy, not deep. Wake up every morning and tell yourself youâre going to have a good day.
Go to the library. Donât forget to look in the music section.
Remove them from your life. Get rid of the things they gave you if they make you sad. Theyâre not worth it. You will never be happy if you continue to hold on to the things that make you sad.
Make new memories.
Try to find something to appreciate in everything you do or experience.
Being alone is okay, you donât have to surround yourself with people.
Become your own best friend. Buy yourself coffee and drink it alone in a cafe. Take your time.
Learn to love every bit of yourself.

21st birthday celebrations! I kind of love this man - he is always there for me, makes me laugh even when I thought I couldn't possibly and never fails to make me feel beautiful â¤

I want to go on a roadtrip someday. Alone or with someone I love. I want to get away. Explore places. Sleep in the car. Stop a lot, just to admire the view. Visit museums and try out coffee shops. Listen to my favourite albums while driving. Have a polaroid camera. Take pretty pictures of the sunrise. Take pictures of myself. Run through a forest. Chase fog. Chase the sun. Spend hours on a field, making flower crowns. Feel the wind in my hair. Buy souvenirs. Meet people. Take time to observe. I want to make memories. I want to feel alive.

Thought I'd share post since its been a while!! But I'm ridiculously happy with my life at the moment!! :D This guy is a big part of it... He comes on adventures with me, drives me to appointments when I need the company, keeps me on track with my comp prep but most importantly puts a smile on my face!! I swear I like him a little bit more every time I see him (if that's even possible) and am so glad he is a part of my life <3 (Photo was taken at a waterfall adventure a couple weeks ago)

You can go through your entire life hating yourself and telling yourself that youâre not good enough for whatever reasons you can come up with. Or you can say âFuck itâ and you can decide that you want to love yourself. You can decide that you are good enough and that you are worthy enough to live a beautiful life without constantly being at war with who you are.
Itâs your choice.

I just discovered this really awesome site. Emotionalbaggagecheck.com
Itâs a site that lets you leave the things that are bothering you anonymously.
When someone chooses to âcarry your baggage" theyâll get your submission, and send a song and a personal note to your email address through the site (itâs never shown publicly) that may help you with what youâre going through.
I think this is an amazing idea!
Donât keep scrolling past this cause itâs actually worth checking out! :)Â

What doesnât kill you,
really fucks you up for a while, but
then, yes, it makes you stronger.
And one day youâre going to wake up
and the things that used to hurt you
so much it felt like the very breath was
being pulled from your lungs, those things
arenât going to hurt anymore. And the wounds
you thought couldnât and wouldnât ever heal,
will have done just that.
One day youâre going to wake up
and youâre going to be OK.
You have to hold out for that day.
If there were ever something I wish
I could tell you itâs that what
youâre feeling is legitimate, itâs
important. Itâs real. But
itâs going to end. Youâre going
to pick yourself back up,
and youâre going to be fine.
Give yourself time.
Give yourself time.
One day youâre going to look
back, and realize the worst is over.
Youâre going to write poetry about it.
Youâre going to draw strength from it.
Your dark is going to save you.
Itâs going to save other people.

But I donât want small talk. Text me, and without saying hello, tell me why you got so angry at your sister this morning. Tell me why you have a scar shaped like Europe on the left side of your neck. Send me paragraphs about the time you spent at your grandmotherâs house that one summer. Call me when Iâm half asleep and tell me why you believe in God. Tell me about the first time you saw your dad cry. Go on for hours about things that may not seem important because I promise that Iâll be hanging on to every word you say. Tell me everything. I donât want someone who just talks about the weather.

2014 was an incredible year for me! I went so far out of my comfort zone and really saw the rewards of it đ I spent time with amazing friends, am now working a job that I LOVE, had people enter and leave my life - all of which taught me important lessons... But most importantly I learnt to love myself and my life!! Now I'm ready for 2015! I have goals and plans for the year and it started in an incredible way... I had a proper New Years Eve party! With a midnight kiss from someone who I hope turns out to be a big part of my life đ Then the first day of 2015 has included sleeping and lying by the pool with the above person, a good training session with friends and laughing with my sister... They say how you spend New Years is how you spend the rest of the year - if that's true I won't be disappointed at all!! â¤
