i just saw a video on tiktok of someone complaining about fanfic writers who have the ✨audacity✨ not to complete a fic. that it’s rude, it’s inconsiderate, it’s disrespectful of the readers emotional investment. and then a whole bunch of commenters saying underneath that this is why they won’t read incomplete fics, that they’ve seen authors go from updating every week to horror of horrors only every month. and because i am a wise and mature individual i’m not going to stitch the video dragging them to hell but instead i’m coming here to you beloved tumblr dot com to bitch behind their back
because i know we’ve said this before but the emerging culture of fanfic writers as content creators and readers as consumers is fucking disgusting. it breeds attitudes exactly like this and turns something that is fundamentally anti-capitalist into another cycle of produce compete exploit where your worth is based on how quickly you can meet consumers needs
it’s called archive of our own for a reason. its about repurposing these stories for ourselves, for our own enjoyment and interest whether thats i want to right the wrongs of this author or i want to see what happens if this one tiny plot point changed or i want to make these characters tie each other up and fuck until they cry. its about sharing as a community, leaving these stories in a communal toy box so people who come along in a few months or few years can enjoy them too
tl;dr keep your fucking capitalist little mittens away from our stories

Like what the hell guys? I'm tired. It's 2 am and I just found out that Greenie had to private their works?
I'm so sad and angry about this. I can't believe that it happened again and so fucking soon after what happened to Zar! What is wrong with you people???
Literally, all they've done is write things that make them happy and in turn, they've made a lot of other people happy too.
So what's the fucking issue here?
Is it that you think that just because you're on the internet suddenly your actions don't have consequences?
That your words can't hurt real live people?
And if you do this shit with the intention of hurting someone, then you need to go outside, touch some grass, and grow the hell up. Because guess what? The world doesn't revolve around you and your opinions! Crazy, I know.
I haven't been in this fandom for very long. Literally maybe only 6 months. And already I've seen so many people get beaten down by others to the point of leaving the fandom altogether. I'm so fucking mad right now and I don't have anywhere to put that anger and it's so frustrating.
How dare you ruin this for them. Don't you fucking get it? Writing is one of the purest forms of expression. These people are pouring their hearts and souls into their work and they are creating fucking masterpieces! They are turning their pain and their thoughts into pieces of art and all you can think to do is criticize? To be cruel to them because it doesn't fit your tastes?
Fuck off.
Zar didn't deserve this and Greenie sure as fuck didn't either.
I hope that they both end up okay in the end and if they never put their work out there again I wouldn't blame them. Would it break my heart? Yes, absolutely. I love their works. I love their writing. But if it comes at the cost of their own mental health, then I don't fucking want it.
And Greenie, if you see this, I'm so sorry love. I know we haven't spoken to each other and I don't know what exactly went down for you to make this decision, but I hope you know that for what it's worth, in spite of everything, in spite of the people that forced your hand, you have my support and my love.
Please take care of yourself. You deserve the world. <3

I think one of the main reasons the lions are such a tight knit team is that they are constantly fangirling over each other!
Like, Finn and Logan and Leo all have that moment when they tell the story of Sirius calling them to welcome them on the team and all three completely losing their shit!
And then, when Leo and Finn get together, Leo is all „Fuck me, I’m kissing Finn O‘Hara“ (a sentiment I totally understand, by the way).
And when Remus first skates with the team, they’re all so starstruck!
It makes for this very loving, very appreciative atmosphere, and I love it :)
