I threw a very quick small house together to test out the new Crystal pack. It's all very higgledy-piggledy because I was trying to smush in all the BB items. That wallpaper is so beautiful, I love it.

I think most items are all very pretty and gameplay has been bug-free for me so far. 😸

My first speed build video - I'm talking mostly nonsense in this but I've been sitting on it for about a week now so it's time to just get on with it and post it 🙃

This lot features four residential rental shells in a shotgun architecture style. Each unit is a two bed, one and a half bath, with dining room, and a small garden.

There is also no CC on the shell lot and you can find it on the gallery under SimsyCatx

I think the extended Brewer Family tree is done, they probably have one of the smaller trees, I've been making/planning some rather extensive families.

Aside from the main four the only other Sim I think I'll actually place in-game is Hasna, (Dahlia's Mum), and I think I'll put her in a nice retirement flat somewhere. The rest will be townies or buried in a graveyard I build somewhere.

Also, Brian is a new addition; I wanted to give Tanya a partner.

The Brewer Family

Nuts & Bolts Harmony Brewer and Dahlia Brewer, a married couple with two twin daughters, Myla and Arabella. Brewer Lovestory Lore

Harmony is the breadwinner in the Brewer household. Born to Robert & Mary Brewer (née Logan), Harmony is one of three children. Her Father was a Labourer and her Mother made extra money for the family as a seamstress. Money was tight however they pulled together what they could to nurture Harmony’s natural talent in music.

After flying through grade levels in multiple instruments, Harmony was able to get a music scholarship to attend Britecester University where she studied Fine Arts with a major in Music Theory. It was at Britecester where she met her wife, Dahlia.

Dahlia is the only daughter of Ashfaq (Ash) & Hasna Amer (née Said). Her Father was a Dentist and her Mother enjoyed life as a SAHM. As a child, Dahlia was spoilt and received almost everything she asked for without question. After high school, her parents insisted she go to university so Dahia opted for Art History at Britecester because she believed it would be an easy pass.

Harmony and Dahlia actually had two first-time meetings. The first was during Fresher's week, when they met at a nightclub, however, aside from finding a few selfies with each other on their phones the next morning, they don’t remember too much about the meeting.

The second meeting took place in the library. Harmony often spent her evenings in the library studying, mostly because her dorm room was too chaotic to concentrate. It was Dahlia’s first time visiting the library when she officially met Harmony. The two spent hours studying together with Harmony heavily assisting Dahlia who was VERY behind on her assignments.

From there, the two became close friends, and it was only with Harmony’s encouragement and help that Dahlia graduated. Despite sacrificing her time to help Dahlia, Harmony graduated with honours and the highest GPA in her year.

After university, they became roommates and lived in the Arts District of San Myshuno. For the next two years, they supported each other through several terrible relationships and breakups. It was on Harmony’s 24th birthday that Dahlia nervously came out and expressed the love she had for her.

“I know this might ruin our friendship but I can't keep it to myself anymore” - Dahlia

To Dahlia’s joy, Harmony was relieved because she felt the same way but was also too scared to make the leap. From then on their relationship blossomed from best friends into true love and were engaged to be married within the year.

Six months out from the wedding, Dahlia had a crisis of love and after a night out without Harmony made a regretful mistake. Tearful and with her heart broken she came clean to Harmony, the wedding was called off and Harmony returned home to her parents.

Two years later they bumped into each other during the Romance Festival, both seeking answers from the Romance guru. Realising how much they’d missed and loved one another they slowly, and with the help of some couples counseling, built their relationship back up.

The two were married in a small ceremony at Myshuno Meadows with only their parents and siblings in attendance.

Shortly after the wedding, the two moved to the Willow Creek suburbs where they reside at 426 Foundry Cove (formerly Crick Cabana).

By this point, Harmony was actively working within the music career, with aspirations to join the Willow Creek Orchestra as a Concert Virtuoso. Dahlia had been in and out of several careers and at the time of moving was working as a part-time Daycare Assistant.

Six months after moving they decided to expand their family and become Mothers. Dahlia was implanted with two fertilised eggs, one belonging to her and one belonging to Harmony with the hopes that one would take. To their surprise and luck, both eggs were successful and Dahlia gave birth to twins, Myla and Arabella.

Today, they share a mostly happy life together with their daughters. They might sometimes bump horns but ultimately they know they are truly soulmates.

I've decided to do something that I might possibly ever finish and try and make my own Sims 4 refresh save file.

I've already started with Crick Cabana and when I did I didn't plan to do a whole save file but... the more I carried on in Foundry Cove the more I wanted to do the whole shebang.

My plan is/was to try and keep the building footprints more or less the same but honestly I think it depends how I'm feeling when I start on a new lot. Foundry Cove definitely has the same footprints ... but that doesn't mean I have to do that all the way through...

I also planned to use no CC but honestly, using *some* CC will probably help keep me going. But I'm going to try to use as little as possible, more like a supplement to BG & DLC items rather than relying on it.

Sims will have CC though. Without a doubt.

I'm also hoping to add some more backstory to townies, especially those with little lore, although I want to keep to and expand on original lore, where I can. And add my own ofc.

Anyway, this is my post, declaring my intention with the hope that doing so will keep me on track!

I wanted this home to be super cosy with "Live Love Laugh" vibes. Very much decorated with a feminine eye with lots of cute B&M/Best Buy/cheap & cheerful clutter decor.

I have play-tested this and it all works except the two bathroom sinks because the sinks aren't designed for those counters. I'm guessing the counters are too high which puts the sinks too high to use. I did try to play around and try and get it working but couldn't manage it. It doesn't bother me (it kinda eliminates the dishwashing in the bathroom) so I left it for the ✨ aethestic✨ but they can easily be replaced if you want!

I've also removed the custom images in the bedroom (you can see them in the video), just because they are boudoir shots :)

Jennifer is in her late 30’s, single, and the proud Mother to one teenage son.

However, now her baby boy has left for college she’s found her home is a little too quiet. So she’s decided to rent out her spare room to a rather attractive stranger while it’s empty.

You can find her under SimsyCatx in the gallery. My ramblings about her, some extra photos, and her CC/DLC list under the break ☺

She also has a house - find it here!

I feel like Jennifer mostly set her own needs aside when raising her son. She always put him first and tried hard to make up for the fact that his father wasn’t in the mix.

When her son left for college she felt odd living in her home by herself, her house felt super empty and lifeless. She tried to persist just thinking it would pass but ultimately decided she couldn’t live alone. So she decided to rent out her son's old room.

In my head, she lets the room out to an attractive sim and she falls hard for them. Like a teenage crush, maybe because she mostly put her love life aside so everything still feels brand new and exciting.

I think she’s quite a vibrant and colourful person. She likes the finer things in life and she worked super hard to get where she is now. She takes super good care of herself and takes pride in her appearance.

She gives off strong real estate agent vibes, somewhere between renting out crappy apartments and Selling Sunset kinda realty. She does really well in her job and sells some beautiful homes but they are fairly average compared to massive mansions.

It's a shame there isn't a realty career in the game because that's 100% what I'd give her. I did find this mod by KiaraSims4Mods but I haven't tried it yet. I guess she could be a proper landlord (not just a room-to-let-er) but she doesn't come across like a landlord to me. But you do you if you play with her!

Introducing Bramblebry Cottage

2 bed 2 bath cottage § 122,187 furnished 50 x 40 lot

A quaint 18th-century cottage, kept in the same family for generations, set in the sleepy village of Henford-on-Bagly.

I built this cottage home for the Coopers.

Basically, Bramblebry Cottage is a super old cottage from centuries ago, specifically because I built a large ass fireplace that I thought looked kinda cool and old. Kinda like the fireplaces you see in grade-listed English Manor homes. I don’t think it would be too misplaced in a witch cottage either. I just really love the fireplace, I think it looks super cosy. I don't think it's amazingly realistic, but I still like it!

The Cooper family has owned the lot since before the cottage was even there. They were the ones who turned the land into a little farm and they built that beautiful fireplace. The cottage is mostly original although a bathroom was added onto the back of the house and the upstairs was altered to include an upstairs bathroom too. Just because you own an old-ass cottage doesn’t mean you need to poop in an outhouse.

I wanted the inside to be cosy and dated; I think it would smell kinda musty and old inside too, in a good way if that makes sense? The furniture is mostly inherited throughout the generations which is why it doesn’t really match well. You get what you get when you have hand-me-downs. The exception is Flossie Cooper’s room, I thought that (as a teen) she’d try to decorate her room to fit her, but she does still have the old furniture because she doesn’t really have a choice for the bigger stuff. She basically does what she can to make it her own space.

Please excuse the poor landscaping, I’d like to say it’s because the occupants spend more time farming than they can on gardening so their garden is neglected but I’m sorry to say that I’m the one who sucks at it. I’m hoping to get better, but you might want to amend it if you use this build.

All the fireplaces work nicely, the downstairs fireplace needs to be lit from the living room side though. AFAIK, it should work good. Make sure you have bb.moveobjects on when placing.

Meet Marjorie and Flossie Cooper.

Marjorie Cooper is a hard-working, practical woman. Born and raised on her family's farm she dutifully followed in her ancestor's agricultural footsteps.

Florence “Flossie” Cooper is a wild young lady who’s desperate to leave the small, sleepy village and explore what the world has to offer.

Can Marjorie keep Flossie on the right track, or will she go off the rails while searching for fun and adventure?

A typical Mother-Daugher headbutting kinda story, I guess! In my head, they got on really well when Flossie was a child like she was the most perfect little girl that Marjorie could ever want. They enjoyed baking together and Marjorie taught Flossie how to cross-stitch, bake etc. I feel like they were basically inseparable and spent a ton of time together.

But when Flossie hit her teenage years her interests turned more to typical teenage things, as they do, and she started being embarrassed of her Mother. She doesn’t want to sit in cross-stitching or knitting with her Mum anymore, she’s much rather go and party with her friends even if it means sneaking out.

As she’s gotten older she’s become more rebellious. After a particularly bad argument with her Mum, she got a tattoo from a sketchy guy at a house party. She regrets it, not because it was a stupid thing to do, or because she doesn’t like it, but because her Mum was disappointed that she'd go and do something like that behind her back. She'll never forget the disappointed expression on her Mum's face, it'll haunt her forever.

Marjorie is trying to ride out Flossie’s rough teenage years in the hopes that they’ll grow closer together again in adulthood. She remembers being a little rebellious herself and knows kids will push boundaries but she still can't help but lay awake at night worrying.

Also, they have a cute Border Collie dog called Hemp. Hemp is active, smart, loyal, and sweet as hell. Bought as a sheepdog, but prefers a pampered indoor life.

I didn't use any CC for these two, I mostly wanted to use the Cottage Living pack and High School Years pack to create them. But you do need to click the custom content switch because they are marked as modded for some reason.
