Hi, hope your doing well! Was wondering if you had any suggestions for middle eastern looks? Thanks ❤️
hi! thank you, and hope the same for you. i was able to find some resources that might help here!
- @thesims4middleeastsouthasia blog has a ton of middle eastern cc over at their blog. - @aanhamdan93 makes middle eastern inspired CC and reblogs a bunch of helpful stuff. - @moonchildlovesthenight makes some great Muslim content, including swimwear, prayer clothes and some abayas. - this 'sims 4 middle eastern cc' pinterest board has a lot of really great resources. - this pinterest board has some good Egyptian cc. - @hijabisimsresource also has a ton of helpful resources. - this reddit post has some helpful links. - theres a lovely dress on tsr here. - some great quality turbans here. - a great Muslim and modest recolor set here. - i also recommend checking out the cc finds tags: mmoutfitters - hijabs, turbans mmfinds - cultural/religious , muslim inspired lookbook - some lookbooks here: emmastillsims | lasummerb (minimal cc) | sims4wcif muslim prompt | 070897 |
- not really a suggestion for a look, but @crazy-lazy-elder-sims has two posts (part 1 | part 2) that really dive deep into how to create Muslim sims, including the different types and expectations in terms of appearance. highly recommend giving this a read. they also take asks and can help find items, so i would definitely head over there.
hopefully these all help you or at least is a good starting point :)  *i am not of middle eastern descent, and my response to this prompt is based purely on research. please let me know if anything is incorrect and i will gladly adjust!*

FINALLY here it is after some loooong months I don't have the energy to write all the swatches but just know there's a buckload and also spec + normal maps.
Practical information: Everything except the hairs, Chiharu, the necklaces and Saengdao work for the male frame. The necklaces have some problems with big breast. Chesa doesn't work with the game's tall boots (works with cc boots). Trang has an obvious seam and I think that's about it. None of the dresses are perfect but I did my best with the complicated meshes.
Many thanks to my testers! @ridgeport @okruee @literalite @magnoliapromenadegalleria @arethabee @hanraja @ladykendalsims @simandy @joliebean @sifix @harinezumi-sims @trillyke I recommend you guys redownload it since I fixed some issues though some were impossible to fix. Many thanks for your help though <3
CC-rebloggers: @maxismatchccworld @wcifsareclosed @glimersimsfinds @softpinefinds

I don't have the energy to add anything more except enjoy! Pics showing the stuff on my Patreon aka the download link.

                                   ✡︎    jewish sims project   ✡︎
There’s not nearly enough Jewish representation in The Sims – in-game or on simblr – so I’m issuing a little challenge to encourage other people to create Jewish sims! Nothing fancy, just … make some Jewish sims! Tag me in your posts and/or tag your post with “jewishsimsproject” so I can be sure to see and share them!
cc suggestions: some of this cc is from inactive blogs, so i linked to @simsrael‘s reblogs for them instead!
@spicehounds – jewish living cc @femmeonamissionsims – tichel with tails cherrypiesims – magen david necklace & ugly hannukah sweaters @plumbobium – yarmulke
                          Shabbat shalom, I love y’all. ♡

jewish living cc set
there was such a lack of jewish content in the sims, and while some of these things should literally be BASE GAME, they’re not, so i decided to make them!
more kippah colors - enabled for male and female frame. retextured to have a knitted style, with some pride kippot included! mesh needed
sophia tattoo - this is less of a cultural piece and more for all your rebellious jewish teen sims who got a stick and poke at summer camp.
jewish wall art - a variety of swatches including the 72 names of gd, hamsa hands, evil eye, hebrew alphabet, tree of life, modern prints, jerusalem skyline. disclaimer: i did not design these. all of the real prints/pieces are available on etsy for purchase. sources: 1 2 3 4 5
mezuzah - well, its as close as i could get since i can’t mesh very well or at all. i recommend you SIZE DOWN this object using alt + ] to get the more correct shape. (you can tilt it with this mod if you so choose)
custom thumbnails included. i do not have a tou just dont be weird or shady.
thank you SO much @basiltrait for taking the beautiful in-game shots of these pieces, and thank you for modeling the kippot on your cute cute cute sims.
i didn’t recolor this tichel but its another very wonderful piece of jewish cc you should consider adding to your game. also a big fan of this synagogue.
take care & i hope these items can be of use and add some much-needed jewish representation to your game, whether you are jewish or not <3

if you wanna make Muslim sims this is the post for you!
so since the sims added hijabs into the game, i have been  seeing alot of beautiful hijabi sims everywhere! but even still people want to know more about Muslim women so they can play them correctly, and i have never been happier to help. its really not complicated, but ill break it down for everyone ( i want to add I AM MUSLIM AND I HAVE LIVED MY ENTIRE LIFE IN 3 DIFFERENT MUSLIM COUNTRIES UAE-EGYPT-SAUDI ARABIA  so i know what i am talking about)
before we start you must all note that i am talking in general and there are always people who don’t follow the rules thou its not really ok to not follow the basic rules we are all human and adults and our choices are made for us only not made to please people or to avoid peoples judgment even in the religion itself it forbids people from judging others choices and askes them to focus on themselves instead
there are Muslims girls that don’t wear hijabs, and there are ones who do wear hijab with normal clothing, and some that wear it with long flowey dresses only,  and there are Muslim girls who wear niqab and cover everything i will be discussing the ones who wear it with normal clothes since they are the most common around the world .
about the looks:
for hijabi girls the rule is cover everything but the wrists and foot and face
it must be worn outside all the time and in front of eligible males meaning you don’t have to wear it around people who cant marry you ( like uncles grandparents brothers etc.. )
it doesn't  tell you what kind of clothes to wear but the two rules are it must not be sheer or too tight that you can see the body through it.
 that’s all.
for Muslim girls in general the same rules about clothes apply but its accepted by people for non hijabi to wear short sleeves shirts or wide necklines but nothing to revealing.
again  there are people who don’t follow this and its ok no judging!
everyday life:
Muslim children generally live with parents until they get married or travel abroad .
the family members are extremely close, they almost always have family gatherings once a week and share everything with each other .( i personally and a few other hate this and skip on gatherings and gossip lol  )
they dont eat pork or anything with pork products, or drink alcohol in general .
in general everything must be approved by parents first, or at least the parents must know what is going on, and should be ok with it. for example guys and girls can go out on dates only if their parents say yes, the religion it self stresses that everything must be discussed and proved by family ,this is to encourage closeness, and to prevent people from making mistakes that could be avoided by someone elses experiences or point of view. it goes both way not just form parents to kids btw.
about relationships :
i know the stereotype about Muslim girls is shy oppressed and don’t have  a say in who they marry but that is far from the truth. we can have relationships as long as there is nothing physical happening before marriage ( meaning no sex or touching ), some say holding hands is ok, some say its not. and some say kissing is ok, and some say its not. this depends on the individual and how much they wanna follow their religion but the general rule is no to getting physical, but girls can date and go out with guys and can have friends that are guys its fine ( with parents permission ofc) .
i don’t want to get into sexuality alot because this has to do with the individual but all i am gonna say is this in Arab countries its (anything but straight relationships) shunned by the older generation… but around the world you can see alot of different examples for lesbian or bi or gay Muslims if it is on tv or in real life.
i personally have gay friends and straight friends, but again this has to do with them and ITS THEIR CHOICE so please don’t argue, let people love who they want ❤
and that’s it basically
ps.
all the rules apply to males and females all except the covering up males are required to cover up from their waist to their knees with loose shorts nothing tight.
hope this helps if you have more questions dont hesitate to ask just please be respectful , no hate ❤ please reblog this so it could reach all of the simmers who might need these info❤

Follow up question, if the Bheedas are Indian, is it ok for Jesminder to keep the braided hair EA gave her? I thought that braided styles like that can only be used on black sims. (Sorry if this is a stupid question)
Hi, Piph, here! How is everyone by the way, it’s been a while.
Not to give EA too much leeway, but it is possible that she, herself, is half back and took her husband’s last name.

Do you know what ethnicity the Bheedas from City Living are supposed to be?
they are Indian!
honestly the best way to find out a sims ethnicity is by googling their last name to see what part of the world they’re from. It’s surprisingly helpful

this is... such a dumb question, but would it be alright to show a muslim sim's hair if she's at home, or would it be disrespectful? the last few asks on the have gotten me concerned abt sending the wrong message idk
hijabs are used in the presence of males outside the immediate family
so no they do not wear them at home, only around unrelated men
more reading on it: one, two, three,

what race(s) do you think the goth family is?
I think a while back, us as a community agreed that there was no way that Bella Goth and her children were white. So, I, personally, think they’re Latinx.

The only time white simmers get “””””””attacked””””””” is when they’re *purposely* misrepresenting an ethnic group with their soc. Even so, it’s not even attacking but people calling them out and saying “hey, this really isn’t fucking cool.”

i admit i'm a pretty small blog but i'm a white simmer and i've literally never gotten hate for posting sims of color??? and i've definitely never seen anyone in the sims community "attacking" white simmers for making soc--however i have seen PLENTY simmers of color get attacked for making "too many" soc... 🤔🤔🤔
See? That’s all I’m saying.

I think you completely misunderstood that last ask :/ They weren't saying one thing over another, they were just expressing something they've seen personally. They also didn't say a majority, they said it was only a small handful. I think you should have read it when you weren't so frustrated because you took that frustration out where it didn't belong (before it gets thrown out, I am a simmer of color) and completely misinterpreted everything it was saying.
Oh, no, I understood it; I read it. Reread it. And, read it one more time to make absolutely sure I wasn’t reading it wrong. It essentially said that “White simmers are screwed if they do make soc, and screwed if they don’t.” I actually agreed with them that not a majority of people feel that way to show that this problem (And since not a lot of people feel this way, it isn’t a problem) isn’t an edge to that double edge sword. And, while I understand and am not saying they have no right to feel the way the they do, this blog is not an opinion / confession / vent / talk blog.
I’ll admit that I probably should have just said, “Sorry you feel that way and I hope you make sims of color regardless,” and be done with it.

Dude poc simmers (obviously not all of them, but like maybe a small handful from what I saw?) have been saying that white simmers don't even have any business making poc sims. I get that maybe it could be bc poc sims are easy to misrepresent and it could be easy to take on a racist stereotype if proper research isn't done, but that attitude also discourages white simmers from trying to be more diverse bc they get attacked for mistakes. Then they get attacked for not trying so it's double edged.
POC is not an adjective, it’s an acronym. “People of color simmers” is not a grammatically correct phrase.
I follow mainly simmers of color and I’ve never seen posts like that in like...years. Not to say you’re lying, but it cannot be a majority, because if it was, everyone would have something to say about it. Most simmers aren’t talking about it, because it’s not a good opinion to have. It defeats the fun of the game to say other people should only make one type of sim.
I have never, ever, seen someone get attacked for actually making sims of color.
And, honestly, dude, this is not a confession blog, so coming into our message box to send in your hot takes isn’t the best thing to do.
