Granwitch, Tiny and the squirl

Today I finished crocheting Granwitch and Tiny, her granddaughter. It was the 2019 halloween CAL from CB’s Creations and I loved being part of the crocheting crowd.

Meet Tiny, a shy and clumsy little witch. She's learning the trade from her grandmother. Granwitch was on a trip to Vulcania on her broom. Tiny had to look after granwitchs' garden and today she discovered a lovely orange pumpkin. She picked it. We hope granwitch (pronounced grennich) has no plans with this particular pumpkin…

Granwitch took a break on her trip to go to a famous barber in Capitown. She loves her hair being groomed so every now and again she takes the time to get a permanent wave and get her hair dyed. She sent a picture to Tiny by mm (magimail). Tiny was shocked to find out granwitch is missing some limbs in the picture. How will granwitch ever be able to return home whithout her arms and hands to hold on to and steer the broom?

Luckily today the arms found granwitch. They brought granwitch’s specially ordered hat and custom made broom with them. Granwitch is quite particular in terms of her hairdresser, her milliner and her broom-maker. She doesn’t like boring or dull, so her hat needed an upgrade. Bows, a stripy pattern and of course the right colours to fit her dress and the collar. The broom-maker too had his hands full with her. She demanded the use of gold thread to bind the broom. Finally she seems to be satisfied. She didn’t mind getting pictures taken. For sure Tiny needed to be in the picture too, as did the pumpkins and other garden things. The naughty little squirl who almost ruined the photo was actually quite cute, so tadaaa, family portrait!

Sometimes my dreams are as happy as the festive flags I made for decorating the room.

A goose. A silly little goose.

I love day dreaming about impossible and improbable things and situations and I seem to remember quite a lot of dreams I dream when I’m sleeping. Sometimes I write down the dreams I remember and try to transform them into stories. I am going to try to share my night dreams and what comes of them as well as my day dreams and what I do with them. There will be pictures of flowers, rainbows, animals and obviously a lot of crochet.
