One of our Oboe players forgot to wear black shoes for festival. She wore neon green shoes. Quite obvious in a small band. Luckily, she had on black socks, so she just went on stage in only socks. Our director almost killed her
One time, I forgot black socks for our show. Our band is small, so you can always see everyone, plus, my pants are way to short. This caused me to spend the 5 minutes before going out to the field frantically coloring my ankles with black sharpie.

It fucking works, my Director decided to cue us in on this just yesterday, after 8 years of being in his class, I have just now found this out

I love plastic reeds.
You don’t need to wet it
It’s more durable and lasts longer
Can make you play much louder than on a wooden reed
I’ve found that it is easier to play with (then again, that’s my opinion)
