It’s fitting that they should be the first pair I draw from this book series. For as much as I love Violet and Xaden’s love, Violet and Liam’s friendship was the one that unexpectedly DESTROYED me.

there are definitely things i like about ttpd, but the thing i can’t get over is how i initially thought she just wasn’t editing her songs very well��

because quite honestly, there are a weird amount of grammatical errors, missed rhymes, questionable lyrics, and songs that just meander for way too long

—but the more i think about, the more i think that its intentional.

diehard swifties are outright threatening critical reviewers, so she obviously knows that they’ll devour anything she puts out. she doesn't have to worry about them.

and as for non-swifties, each song has at least one short but undeniably good part.... almost like it was designed to be just good enough for a thirty second tiktok/edit sound.

the album is brutally honest, satirical, a bit cringe here and there, depressing and experimental at the same time, I would not side eye anyone for saying "I don't understand this" or "this isn't my cup of tea" or even "what the fuck is this" because it's obviously not a 1989 or midnights kind of album for everyone. I understand why she said she "had to put this out" but while she is at the peak of her career, she released an album that is not for beginners nor really for overall critics, it's knees deep into the taylor swift lore and probably the most herself an album has ever been, that does not mean it is a masterpiece but it makes it so insanely special
