A good sign that i've done a lot of cat-sitting for my parents' friend and it no longer stresses me out at all: she asked if i could cat-sit starting tomorrow because of an emergency (obvs said yes immediately) but i had 60 seconds of anxiety like "omg that's tomorrow, i ought to like plan/ pack/ aah!!" But then that faded and now i'm like "weeeeeell i'll just shove whatever into a few bags, i usually have to come home at least once for something i forgot during the week so i'll just plan on that 👍"
So i might pack a bit tonight but it'll mostly be tomorrow after work 🤣🤣🤣

Hot take:
Futuristic fantasy stories that DON’T quantify and rationalize magic to some measurable degree (midichlorians, aura, power levels) are actually Badly Written because, and hear me out: people quantify everything. Calories, acidity, solubility, decibels, milliliters, the Scoville scale tells you how hot a pepper is. Ancient fantasies, myths, and post-apocalyptic stories can get away with vague rules because they don’t know how to close an electrical circuit so they can light a room, let alone measure radiation wavelength. If you want me to buy that your civilization has been practicing magic for ten thousand years in a flourishing empire with magic academies, there had better be a thermometer they can stick in your mouth to see how many magic points you are putting out right now.

Out of all the Final Fantasy summons Alexander is by far my favourite and I wanna know how it was pitched because it is a buckwild concept
It is a massive steampunk robot the size of a castle
The robot can be summoned by magic for some reason
The essence of the robot has multiple times been summoned directly into existing fortresses which then turn into the robot
The robot uses "holy" type magic for some reason
Its signarure attack is called "Divine Judgement" implying it has a code of ethics it enforces
The robot can sometimes control time for some reason
The robot has no legs except sometimes it does
It is sometimes depicted as having four giant angel wings
It was named after Alexander the Great for some reason
