Okay. Hear me out: a gaggle of grass-stained goslings.
I might die of cute.
#there's a pond by the road#where canadian geese always congregate#there are frequent traffic backups at the roundabout because of people giving the geese the right of way#and the city had just mowed#and so these fluffy little baby geese were covered in grass stains so they were the color of new leaves#dark at the tips of their fluff with yellow peeking through underneath#adorable

forget Resting Bitch Face, I have Resting Competent Face. People see me and think ah yes she can point me to the nearest train station. Fellow grocery shoppers ask if I know what kind of butter they should buy. If a strange man speaks to me on the street it is literally always an inquiry and never a catcall. Once someone randomly asked me what an equinox was and after I told her she nodded and said "you seemed like you'd know." why am I assigned oracle at random interaction
#same! omg#always always always in the grocery store#they're remodeling and keep moving things and people will walk PAST the employees in bright colored vests#to ask me where i think the soup might be today#or which shampoo I think they should pick up since their granddaughter's preferred is out of stock#and i went to prague once for a long weekend in college#total whim of the people I was studying abroad with and I spoke not three words of czech#I was repeatedly stopped and asked for directions by clear tourists and people who appeared to speak fluent czech alike#and one time a scary biker guy approached me at a gas station to ask whether I knew what his tire pressure should be

My rescue orchid had a baby!
Transplant time! The new keiki is going in the original jar, and momma is moving into the vacant prism terrarium. She's outgrown the jar anyway, so this will be a good shift. Here's hoping I've done this properly!

the problem with being creative is that you start to feel very guilty when you haven’t created anything in a while
#that is such a beautiful way of putting it#thank you#I try to be mindful of when I'm not ready for the next step in a project yet#when I need to take a break to let it settle in my mind rather than plowing ahead and tweaking and tweaking and 'fixing' and obsessing#until it isn't fun anymore#and it doesn't seem beautiful to me anymore#let the garden grow up a bit so you can start seeing its glory#then plant more seeds#or else you risk trampling what you've already planted before it's had its chance.
