For those who don't know, I've been homeless for half a year now and living in a motel with my father and other sibling (who we recently had to take in) and I've been supporting us through commissions.
Sadly, commissions haven't been coming in lately so im making a new post to advertise for it.
My art examples are down below, if you need more just pm me and I'll gladly give you them. My prices will also be below this, if you instead prefer to donate, i have a link on the blog. If you don't use paypal, pm me and ill send the cashapp or venmo. Sharing also helps greatly.

My situation right now is both me and my dad are homeless. I’m unable to provide for myself and so is he for now, we don’t have family help so doing these commissions are our only source of income. We’ve been staying at a motel the past two months and need to pay vacancy everyday (45 USD) so I’ve made my prices as cheap as i can afford them to be. We also don’t have any food , so money is needed for that as well.
We also, as of now in the month of February, also had to take in one of my siblings because my family just dropped them off with us and refused to take them back, so money is more dire for food.
All of the shelters are full currently where we are and even if they were open, we don’t have a way of getting there (no car and no family members willing to take us). This is all we can do for now.

I’ve been homeless for a month now (I’ve been living in a motel with my dad, who’s also homeless with me as well.) and have been helping me and my dad with income through commissions (as we don’t have family support and can’t get jobs rn) and we need money now more than ever. We have nothing to eat and absolutely need to keep up money so we can stay here (its 45 usd per night)
Prices range from 10-30 usd depending on commission details.

Man just. Thinking about Star Trek IV The One With The Whales like the comedy of Chekov and Uhura being the ones to sneak onto the enterprise is pretty apparent on the surface (this is the 80s, it’s the Cold War! They are from the future they don’t know about bigotry) but like on a deeper level it just breaks my heart. That movie is so earnest, it’s about trying to save the whales, and it all has that distinctive Star Trek humanism and it’s comedic knowing the crew is from a utopian future but like, how heartbreaking would that be. If you were Chekhov or Uhura or Sulu and you went back in time to know that things were terrible then because of a bigotry in your present that’s been eradicated. And of course, the way Star Trek handles racism over time varies a lot in terms of its effectiveness, and this is the world that the actors lived in and still live in. It’s my favourite of the trek movies it just makes me feel some kinda way
