aight lemme set the scene: im a writer, and i have a shit ton of original characters, the vast majority of which are queer because im queer

one setting is a wild west gang in around the early 1910s ish (rough estimate) and one of the members of the gang is an older trans woman in about her mid fifties. obviously given the time period there isn't really hormone treatment (that i know of anyway, i may need to research it) and ive decided to fully throw queerphobia and racism out the window for this universe because i do what i want and i don't want to write that (also im white and writing racism as a white person feels weird)

ANYWAY my question is regarding this character's facial hair. i considered going the bearded lady route bc obviously women can have beards it happens, but i know that can also be a source of dysphoria for a lot of trans women. is it best to have her stay as clean shaven as possible? is stubble okay? does the comfort vary from person to person? she is in a gang of cowboys who travel a lot and doesn't have access to a razor and that kind of stuff all the time, which is worth noting. i just don't want to do anything insensitive, and while i do identify as trans (nonbinary) im not transfem.

i have recurring dreams (probably partially influenced by my sleep meds bc they give me weird dreams sometimes) that i am addicted to nicotine despite also never smoking or vaping in my life

and i mentioned it to my twin and they have also had similar dreams, but not where they are addicted, where *i* am

Anyway shout out to the dream I had yesterday where it was just like a normal day but I had a fully developed nicotine addiction and I would just periodically smoke cigarettes and ask people if they were gonna finish theirs(?) In my dream I would feel better while dream smoking.

I think I had some sleeper substance dependency activate cause I was almost constantly and unnaturally anxious most of the day after and it got worse further into the day and I kept thinking "damn I could really take a smoke break right about now" despite literally never smoking or vaping ever.

I think my dad just fucking airdropped his addiction to me across the country, in the middle of the night, and it got like cleared from my system last night because I feel normal again o(-(
