it’s thanksgiving, which most of us, especially if ur white, see it as a time to be thankful and connect with our loved ones, but we should also take the time to remember that this is a colonizer holiday and a majority of what is known by white people about thanksgiving ( the story taught to us in schools ) is wrong and far more complex. this holiday is steeped within cultural appropriation, and ignores the genocide of indigenous people and their cultures. that being said, here’s a few resources for donation you should check out.
