100 Themes Challenge - Linked Universe
Recently I've been having a bit of trouble with writing. I have dozens of wips and have been unable to finish them, so what do I do? Start something new of course! *strained smile*
I chose to do the 100 themes challenge because some of them can just be little drabbles, something to get my brain back into writing mode. The prompts are also pretty vague so I can do whatever I want lol.
The list I found was just one I chose off the internet, credit to whoever wrote it obviously. If it's different to a list you may have seen before, I chose this one specifically because I wasn't comfortable with some of the prompts on other ones.
I'm not going to be posting each individual one here because... there's 100... BUT here's the ao3 link if you want to read them. (:

Howdy there~
For the bad things bingo, perhaps Magical Curse for Legend and Time? :3
Howdy!
One magical curse for the @badthingshappenbingo prompt, ft. Legend and Time coming right up. Enjoy!
Characters: Legend, Time
Warnings: blood and injury, blood-loss
Tumblr media
Legend squirmed as Time tied up the end of the bandage on his abdomen.
“Hylia damnit Old Man.” He complained. “Let’s leave the first aid to Wars next time, hey?”
Time chuckled in ammusement. “Well we have to find him first.” He replied, standing.
Legend followed, rising from the ground as he examined Time’s bandaging.
"Thanks." He said. "I suppose it's not too shoddy." Time just shook his head at Legend's antics, before beconing the younger hero.
The pair walked for a while, maybe ten or so minutes, before Legend noticed the pain in his side getting worse. He stopped and lifted his tunic to examine the wound. Time, realising he was no longer following, turned around with an expression of concern.
"Is everything okay?"
Legend frowned. Crimson blood was seeping through the bandaging, which he hadn't noticed before because it had blended in to his red tunic.
"I think the wound reopened." He replied. "I should be fine until we get back to the others though."
Time looked up at the slowly darkening sky as he weighed up their options. They had about half a bottle of a potion left between the two of them. "Drink this." Time told him, handing the precious resource over. "We need to find the others fast, but only if you’re sure you can keep going. If you need to stop, then say so." He told him sternly.
Legend nodded in reply, drinking the last of the potion, and they continued.
-
Legend hadn't noticed the ground rushing up to meet him until Time caught him.
"-end. Legend?"
Legend looked up woozily. Oh. Time was asking to see his injury. He nodded slowly, trying not to make himself more dizzy than he already was, and lifted his arm slightly so Time could get access to the wound. The veteran had no energy to do it himself.
"Did anything else happen during that fight?" Time asked. "Because this isn't right. The wound is open again like it's brand new."
That wasn't possible. They had treated his injury straight after the fight, and it was fine. Unless there was some kind of magic involved? Like a-
"Curse." Legend mumbled.
"What was that?"
"There was a wizzrobe." He explained. "I got hit with a spell and it didn't do anything."
Understanding dawned on Time's face.
"Except it did." He finished. "We need to get you back to camp."
Legend hummed in reply, his head already sinking to his chest. "Just give me a sec..."
He didn't even register Time talking to him, saying something about blood loss, or trying to shake him awake. Legend was already out like a light.

"I'm doing this because I care about you" part 2. Part 1 here.
“Warriors.” Sky said, trying to keep his breathing steady. “Look at me.”
Warriors - no - Dark Link just flicked a knife lazily in his hands, watching as the blade caught on the light. “Your friend isn’t here.” He replied, not even sparing the hero a glance. Sky grit his teeth, holding back a cry as he forced himself to stand. Using the wall as a crutch, he rose to glare at the monster that had taken over his brother.
“I know you’re in there. Fight him!” He begged. Dark Link laughed again, turning to face Sky. When the shadow stepped forward, he couldn’t help but flinch back.
With his back against the brick wall and injuries his muddled mind couldn’t make sense of, Sky had no where to go. He put his hand out in a weak attempt to stop Dark’s advances, but it was easliy batted away. The sharp steel of the knife rested just under his chin, and he was forced to tilt his head upwards so it didn’t cut the delicate skin.
“Warriors,” Dark Link said. “Is gone. He was weak, and I defeated him easily.” The shadow laughed. “He is dead, and I killed him.”
No.
Sky snarled, kicking his non-injured leg out in anger. His boot connected with the imposters kneecap, making Dark Link cry out. Sky pushed him away with a strength that came from pure anger and adreneline, stumbling forwards himself.
“I will make you pay for hurting my brother.” He said. Dark Link looked at him, the look in his eyes betraying his fear. They called Sky ‘Godkiller’ for a reason, and despite his soft personality the hero was scary when he got mad. And oh boy, was he mad.
Dark Link tried to sink into the shadows where the wall and floor met, but he was pulled away by Sky, who rasied his fist. The shadow slipped out of the knights grasp, brandishing the knife he had been previously holding.
“The hero of Warriors may be dead.” He said. “But this is still his body. Every blow to me is like a blow to his corpse. You wouldn’t want to hurt him like that, would you?”
Sky faltered as Dark Link grinned in triumph. He vaugely recalled his brothers who had previously fought Dark Link saying how every time they would hurt him the injury would be the same on them. Dark Link was everything that a Link wasn’t, and it turned out he wasn’t above pupeteering corpses other people.
Sky looked Dark Link in the eyes, the shining red pupils that radiated in wrongness. The feeling crawled over the hero’s skin. His fist trembled from where it was frozen in the air, and then it dropped. Dark Link’s victorious smirk didn’t last long though. Sky shoved him down and turned on his heel, facing the door that led to outside. Muffled noises could still be heared through it, a fight that he wasn’t a part of.
His neck was cold with sweat, and his legs threatened to buckle underneath him, but he was going to make it to that door if it was the last thing he did. Dark Link, realising what he was doing, lept for him, but Sky struck out. His fist connected with something and he made a mental apology to Warriors. Then he hobbled out of the room he had been trapped in.
“Sky!”

Lassoed for Twilight? If you’re still doing the prompts.
Hey @butter-and-too-much-bread!
Of course! Here is Twi for the @badthingshappenbingo prompt 'lassoed'. I got inspiration from one of the scenes in the TP manga! (Also, I will be doing these prompts until the bingo card is done!)
It’s a bit shorter than normal because I have no clue what I’m doing, (contrary to popular belief I have never herded angry goats), but I hope you like it.
Characters: Twilight, Fado, Wind, Hyrule, Wild
Warnings: Not being able to breathe
Tumblr media
Twilight loved Ordon. The people, the animals, being able to take a breath without getting a faceful of monsters… yeah, he loved this place.
Wind ran beside him as they headed towards Fado, who had asked for assistance in rouding up the goats (again). Hyrule and Wild had also been eager to help, laughing loudly as they raced eachother to their destination.
The group was quick to mount the horses, Twilight with Epona, and Twilight quickly showed them how they would catch the goats. More specifically, one which had been acting out and stirring up the rest of the herd.
“There!” One of the others shouted as they spotted the unussualy aggresive one. Twilight lifted his lariat rope, aiming for the large horns of the Ordonian goat. Unfortunately for him, so did someone else.
Before he could throw the rope, something looped itself around his neck. A voice shouted as Twilight was yanked back, the sudden movement throwing him off Epona. It felt like a punch to his throat, cutting off his air supply.
Twilight hit the ground hard, hands stuck between breaking his fall and trying to keep himself breathing. He let out a choked gasp as the rope around his neck went slack, which resulted in sending him into a coughing fit. Twilight hacked and wheezed as he tried to suck in oxygen through his injured throat.
Someone had their hands on him, trying to help him breathe, while another voice off to the side continued to apologise tearfully.
Twilight raised a hand to his tender throat, trying to blink away the pain. “Good shot.” He rasped. “But you might wanna aim for the goats next time.”

Hi! Could I slide forward the ideas of “misaimed blame” or “cruel and unusual punishment” with Warriors and/or Wind for the Bad Things Happen bingo? I like those two and am curious as to what you’d do with either of them in either of those situations! <3
Hello anon! (Sorry this took me a while!)
Ok, we have Warriors and Wind for the @badthingshappenbingo prompt ‘misaimed blame’. Thanks for requesting and hope you like it!
Characters: Warriors, Wind, Four, Sky, Time and Twilight
Warnings: blood, injury, and nausea
Tumblr media
Warriors hated dungeons. They were damp, dark, and smelly. Oh, and more often than not, sported an assortment of monsters and traps. Why the other heroes liked them so much was beyond him.
Did he mention that he had gotten seperated from everyone else? Well he had, and now he was stuck wandering around and praying he found an exit.
Warriors sighed, inspecting his sroundings as he went. The room he had found himself in was suspicously empty, except for a single door on the other side of it. As he went to walk towards it, an ominous  g r a t i n g  noise stopped him in his tracks.
The Captain's eyes darted down to the tile that he had stepped on, which had sunken into the floor when he had applied pressure. “What-“ He started, before letting out a noise of surprise.
Where there had once been one of him, there was now many. The dopelgangers had appeared out of nowhere, each an perfect image of the himself. Well, If it wasn’t for the sickening smiles they wore, or empty eyes watching him.
He raised his sword, and half the group copied him, mirroring his actions, while the others darted out the door. Warriors swore as the remaining ones attacked.
-
Wind and Four walked through the dungeon hallways, the soft padding of their feet and quiet breathing the only hylian sound. The steady dripping of water echoed, though with no visible location.
“Wars!” Four called out, as a familiar figure crossed the hall infront of them. Warriors turned at the sound of his voice. “We’ve been looking everywhere for you!” The minish hero said. “I’m surprised we haven’t come across anything yet, but the downside is the others are no where to be- Warriors?”
Four let out a yelp of surprise as Warriors swung his sword down, expression blank.
“Wars, what the hell are you doing?” Wind exclaimed.
Four grunted as he parried a blow from the Captain. “Warriors!” He cried. “Snap out of it!”
Warriors did not, in fact, snap out of it. Instead he continued to slash at the smallest heroes relentlessly, pushing them backwards until they were met with cold stone walls. Even with the two of them, they were no match against the older hero’s blind attacks.
Wind gritted his teeth as the metal blade sliced along his arm, drawing dark blood in the dim lighting. He had no breath left for reasoning with Warriors, as he put all his focus into not getting killed.
Four cried out as one of Warriors’ wide swings came too close, his multi-coloured tunic ripping. The blood was quick to follow the action, dripping down his front and staining the different patches. The smithy dropped to his knees, sword abandonded as he pressed his hands to the wound.
"Four!" Wind cried out, horrified that Warriors could ever do something like this.
Warriors on the other hand, took no notice. He just kept coming, and it was only a matter of time before Wind would tire out.
-
Warriors followed the yells and the clashing of swords, throwing continous looks over his shoulder at the other him's that followed. One of them got close enough to strike, and he was forced to twist his arm in an uncomfortable way to prevent himself from being beheaded.
An echo of a shout rang down the hallway. The voice sounded young, like-
"Four!" That was Wind. Warriors gritted his teeth as he pushed himself to run faster. Something was happening to his brothers, and it was not good.
-
Wind was momentarily distracted by the pounding of multiple adult feet running towards them, and it earned him a cut across his cheek. Warriors also noticed it, and bolted the opposite direction, blue scarf flying.
The Sailor's arms shook, and he was unsteady on his feet from both blood-loss and exhaustion.
That must be the others. He thought to himself, as his knees gave out underneath him, sending him sinking down to the cold floor.Someone called his name off in the ajacent hallway, and he fought through the fogginess in his head to stay awake.
Not much longer now.
-
Warriors nearly cried in relief when he ran into Time, Sky and Twilight. They were more than a little surprised to see him being chased down by himself, but at his word jumped up with their weapons drawn.
It was more than a little painful to cut down people who looked exactly like your brother, but the master sword was quick to confirm that they definetly weren't the real Wars. Oh, and the fact that they were trying to mindlessly kill the heroes.
As the last copy of him fell, Twilight grimanced.
"That was..." He said, before trailing off. Sky put a hand to his shoulder, wincing when he noticed the blood that was still on it.
"Did you guys hear Wind and Four earlier?" Warriors asked in an attempt to change the topic to anything else.
Luckily the three of them took the bait, Time being the first to reply. "We did, and were trying to find them when we... ran into you."
Warriors tried to catch his breath as the adrenaline slowly wore off. "We should go find them."
Sky nodded, and pointed to his right. "That's where it sounded like they were coming from."
-
When someone came running up to him, touching his face, Wind groggily blinked confusion away. There, he found the concerned face of Sky, asking if he was okay.
"Mhm." He hummed, nodding slowly in reply.
"What happened to you two?" The Skyloftian fretted, wiping away the blood from his face with a cloth like Wind's Grandma would.
"We were..." Wait. Wind jerked upright, eyes wide. "We were attacked by Wars!" He cried, standing despite the wave of nausea. "He's a traitor!" Wind said. "Warriors came and attacked us, he hurt Four and-"
"Wind." Sky said firmly, grabbing his flailing hands. "That was not Wars. It was a trick of the dungeoun."
Wind shook his head, all reason lost to his fear. "I know what I saw Sky you have to believe me!"
Warriors looked pained, turning away from the sailor to mutter something to Time, who stood beside him. Time paused from watching Twilight tend to Four to reply to him in the same quiet voice, before Warriors left the room.
"No!" Wind wrenched himself out of Sky's grasp, stumbling over to the Captain. "This is your fault!" He said. The sudden movements made him stumble, and Warriors instincly reached out to catch him. Wind gasped a choking lungfull of air as he tried to push himself away, and Time stepped over to catch him.
Time lay him down as he tried to calm the hysterical boy. "Warriors, I think you might need to leave the room." He said.
Warriors nodded slowly before turning away. "Okay." He said after a beat. He knew why of course. But it hurt. It really hurt.
You're scaring him
He hates you.
This is your fault.

Wait sorry i'm the last anon, I meant captivity for Time, just noticed the other was already done 😶
Haha, that’s ok anon! So here we have Time for the @badthingshappenbingo prompt ‘captivity’. Hope you like it, and thanks for asking!
Characters: Time, Dark Link, Yiga Clan
Warnings: Implied Injuries, Trapped
Tumblr media
Time’s head hurt. His shoulders were in pain as he was dragged along to some unknown place, his captors hands gripping his un-armoured biceps uncomfortably. When they noticed he was awake, the group stopped abruptly, whispering in some foreign language.
“Up.” One of them said in Hylian.
He raised his head as the room spun around him. What had happened? The last thing Time remembered was being with the boys at camp, then his pup had come running back without Sky... then there had been smoke. Red smoke, that smelled of sickenly sweet fruit.
Time knew what had happened now.
The eldest Link was broken from his thoughts as he was shoved into an ajacent room from the one they had previously been in, the slam of a barred door echoeing and sending spikes of pain into his skull. Time grunted as he moved himself to a sitting position, to watch a masked figure lazily approach the bars.
"So. This is the oh-so-great Hero of Time that I've been told about." A man's voice said from behind the mask. He laughed, an ugly and high pitched sound. "Of course, no hero is a match for the Yiga Clan, or Master Kohga!”
There was a beat, as if Kohga expected him to cheer or protest, but Time sat in silence, waiting for the right moment. Someone cleared their throat impatiently, and Kohga jumped.
“Well, now that we have those boring introductions out of the way, why don’t you let the adults talk, Kohga?” The voice was strange. It felt like Hylia, but a whole lot darker, and sounded like a mix between multiple people at once. Multiple heroes at once. When the owner of the voice stepped out of the shadows, Time knew why.
“What do you want?” He asked, keeping his tone even. There was no point in being angry when he was trapped in a cell. It wouldn’t get him out.
The corners of Dark Link’s mouth lifted slightly, like he was in on a joke that Time didn’t know. “What do I want? Well that depends, Hero of Time. What do you think I want?"
Time watched the dark figure, trying to work out what why he was dragging this out. Was he just playing? Or was he waiting for someone?
"Quit it with your games, Dark." Time said. "I don't care for them."
Dark Link sighed mockingly, running a hand through his hair the same way Twlight always did.
“You heroes are so impolite. I try to have a conversation but you only ever focus on trying to run me through with that sword of yours.”
Time snorted. “And we succeed, mind you.” He said, causing Dark Link to frown in annoyance. The expression he pulled was eerily simmilar to Legend whenever the veteran was displeased. Dark Link turned to adress a Yiga Clan soldier who stood by the door, shifting in place anxiously.
“I have things to do.” Dark snapped. “Take care of this… pest until I get back.”
The Yiga soldier turned towards Time obediently as Dark Link melted into the shadows once more.

Done For part 2! Part 1 here.
“No.” She said with a mocking smile. “You don’t.”
-
“You’re quite an interesting character, Hero of Legend.”
He faltered, despite knowing better. “I never told you my name.”
Magda smiled like she knew a secret that he didn't as her eyes bore into his own. “And what makes you think you needed to tell me for me to know?”
Legend didn’t reply. His periwinkle gaze watched the witch as she moved through the flowers, stopping infront of the cursed forms of his friends. Don’t move he told himself as she kneeled down, cradling the dark petals of what had once been was Hyrule. Don’t give her another reason to hurt them.
At his silence, Magda gave a small huff of laughter. “You have so much left to learn.” She told him.
Legend clenched his fists. Even though he might not say it, he loved his brothers as much as they loved him. And there was no way in hell he was leaving without them. “Please.” He said, taking a breath. “Let them go.”
Magda pursed her lips, wisps of smoke trailing from her fingers. A challenge.
“Want to save your friends from the fire? Fine. Show me that you’re willing to burn.”
There was no escaping his fate now. “What do you want me to do? Tell me how to get them back!”
When she laughed, the sound echoed in his ears. “Oh, hero. You already have all you need.”
Already had all he needed? What was that supposed to mean? It couldn’t be any of his magic that he had. Most of it was for destroying and attacking. Not much use to help delicate flowers. Was it a trick then? No, Magda wasn’t the kind of witch to do that. He could tell she wanted to protect her home. Something he had, something he had… oh. The golden flower sat discarded beside him, the few petals it had left slowly curling up under the sun. Legend quickly snatched it up, trying to work out what he was meant to do.
Makes you immune to curses…
Aha! The cursed forms of his brothers!
The first flower that he reached had a red stalk and blue petals that blended into silver. Time.
“Come on, come on, come on.” He muttered. There was no way to give Time the flower. It didn’t even have any nectar left in it.
“I-“ He swore, pressing the heels of his palms to his eyes. Was he really going to-?
“I can’t!” He said. It pained Legend to admit, but if he wanted to save the chain, he was going to need the help of the witch who cursed him in the first place. But instead of helping, all she did was ask him a curious question.
“What do you know about love, Hero of Legend?”
He blinked in confusion, turning to face her. “What do you mean?”
“What,” She repeated. “Do you know about love?”
Legend considered the question. He had to pick the right answer. “Back at home somebody waits for me.” He started. “He… he’s my everything. But it’s been a whole, long year.”
Magda made a guesture to ‘keep going’.
“We haven’t been back for a year, and it’s all because of the damn shadow we’ve been called to fight!” He swallowed. “So I beg you, Magda. Grant us mercy, and let us leave.”
The witch didn’t reply for a while, and Legend started to get uncomfortable standing in silence after pouring his heart out to her. Finally, she spoke.
“A shadow, eh?” She shook her head. “There might be a way to defeat him,” Magda explained, voice low. “There might be a way to get home. Though this method isvery dangerous, it might be your one final hope.”
He sucked in a breath, waiting for her to continue.
“I know of a brilliant witch.” She told him. “Problem is, this witch is… hard to reach.”
Magda reached out for his hand that held to golden flower, fingers brushing against its petals. “I can’t get you home, but I’ll get you to my sister instead.” She laughed, the same way she had when she had still been hostile towards him. It was humorous with a hint of crazy.
“I’ll release your friends, and I’ll get you to my sister instead.”

This is part 2 of 'Help Them' from Febuwhump! Here's part 1.
“What’s a young boy like you doing out in the rain?”
Hyrule’s head jerked up at the voice. A woman stood in front of him, holding her satchel over her head in a poor attempt to shield herself from the downpour.
“Come on, love.” She said, reaching out for Wild, who sat slumped against Hyrule’s shoulder. “Up we get.”
There was something off about the woman, something different that was very not Hylian, but between the way the cold water seeped through his clothes and under his skin, and the way that Wild didn’t even stir as the woman wrapped her hand around his bicep, gave him no other option.
Shivering slightly, Hyrule bent over to grab Wild’s unconscious form. Between the two of them, it was easier to carry the champion, and the woman led him to a quaint house on the outskirts of the village.
When they got inside, Hyrule watched as the woman lay Wild down on a faded couch, then busied herself at the stove. The traveller stood akwardly in the doorway, water drip drip dripping off his clothes and onto the floor.
"Sit down darling.”
Hyrule startled. The woman hand managed to sneak up on him, yet again. She smiled warmly as she handed him a cup of warm milk. “Now, what’s your name?” She asked as he sank into the part of the couch that wasn’t taken up by Wild.
“Rulie.” He replied. Past experience had shown that introducing himself as ‘Hyrule’ got very confusing, very quickly.
“Hmm.” She hummed. “And your friend?”
“His name is Wild.” Hyrule took a polite sip of his milk, feeling it warm him up as it slipped down his throat.
The woman took a sip of her own mug, nodding. “My children call me Aine.” She told him. “So you may too, little one.” Her grey eye’s sparkled with a hidden magic as she observed him over the top of her mug. Hyrule shuffled anxiously, feeling like he was being scolded by a mother. As Aine went to say something, she was interupted by Wild groaning.
Like magic, she was by his brother’s side, gently sitting him up as she asked him questions about how he felt. Wild shook his head like he was trying to clear the fog in his head, and jumped slightly when he noticed the unfamiliar woman. His eye’s darted to Hyrule worridly, but Hyrule just gave Wild a slight nod in reply.
Aine raised one of her hands to Wild’s head, like she was going to check for a fever, but a soft, pink glow surrounded her palm instead. Hyrule gasped and Wild’s brow furrowed in confusion. Aine smiled knowingly as she looked over to Hyrule. “Is something wrong, little one?” She asked.
“I- you-“ He stammered.
Wild’s eye’s drooped with the gentle touch of her magic, and Aine layed him back down to rest. “Shh.” She said, placing a finger to her lips. “We all have secrets, child. But like calls to like.” The fairy shrugged, and stood to place a hand on Hyrule’s cheek. “Sleep.” She told him. “You’ll be safe here.”

This oneshot is for BotW, but it was based off this LU fic! Can be read alone! (Also it's for the lovely Human_1 on ao3!)
For anyone who isn't an LU fan, the wolf companion in this is based off the wolf link amiibo.
When Mipha gave him her Grace, he never really stopped to consider it. Never really thought about the implications, or what it was used for. He’d reclaimed the divine beast, freed her spirit, and saved Zora’s Domain, right?
Then he had set off, ready to do it all over again.
Death mountain seemed like a cool place, and he’d already met some Goron’s on his journey. With heat-resistant elixirs and his trusty wolf companion, it didn’t seem like anything was going to go wrong. His first mistake was assuming anything was going to go right.
-
Link walked along the rocky path up Death mountain, humming some half-remembered tune, random words he never recalled learning slipping out occasionally.
Every so often he would dart off the path, laughing to himself as he snagged yet another lizard off the ground. Wolf Link, as he had lovingly named the canine that had followed him since the shrine of resurrection, barked in a familiar call of ‘stay close!’. Link rolled his eyes at the nagging, before something else caught his attention.
“I saw some kind of rock up ahead!” He called backwards. “Hurry up so I can check it out!”
Wolf Link gave a snuffle of displeasure which Hylian Link respectfully ignored as he began to climb a slope that ran off the path.
It took a bit of hunting to work out where he had seen the rock. That cliff had been there, and that boulder… strange. Maybe he was in the wrong spot. As Link contemplated where the rock could have been, the wolf below barked.
“Huh?” He shouted, smiling to himself in childish glee as his voice echoed, bouncing off the walls and circling back to him. “I can’t find it!” He said, updating his friend. “I think it’s like-“
A sharp pain ripped through his back and stomach, cutting off the rest of his sentence.
It’s like the rock moved.
When Link looked down, a dark object protruded from his stomach, and something hot quickly stained his clothing. Wolf Link howled as claws gripped into Link’s back, and the motion of the spear being pulled out shoved him forwards.
As he fell, Link choked back a pained laugh. All this just to end up with a spear in my back. The ground rushed up to meet him, and Link felt sick. But not because of the injury. Because he was going to die,
                           he was going to die,
                                                          he was going to die,
                                                                                          and he had failed.
The darkness met him before the impact did.
-
Link woke to a whine, and something soft and wet lapping at his cheek. When he breathed in, it felt like someone had punched his back and left a bruise, but otherwise… nothing? Had Hylia claimed his soul?
Sure, he’d been dead before. There was the whole ‘100 year sleep and shrine of resurrection’ to prove it. But it wasn’t like he remembered any of it, so you can’t blame him when he wondered.
The only thing which disputed this thought as of now was the fact that Wolf Link was still licking his face. And unless the lizalfos had managed to take out a very vicious wolf, he wasn’t meant to be here.
“Hrghm?” He groaned, pushing away the wolf who in retun seemed to spring back a mile. If an animal could look shellshocked, Wolfie aced the expression. After staring a Link for a good couple of seconds, he hesitantly crept forwards with a whine.
How in Hyrule was Link alive? When the teen looked down the only evidence of the injury was still-fresh blood on his clothing. Unless…
“Mipha.” He breathed in realisation. The spirit of the Zora princess had brought him back from the dead. She had given him another chance. “Thankyou.” He said to the empty air.
It was my pleasure.

Presumed Dead (Febuwhump) Ch. 2!
Here's the original from Febuwhump!
"Twilight."
"Hmm?"
"Are you okay?"
Twilight looked up from where he was mending a hole in his tunic, his gaze meeting Time's own.
"Why wouldn't I be?" He replied.
Time sighed, sitting down next to his protege. "You knew about that. Wild's spirit friend." He stated. Twilight put down the tunic, head turned away.
"Yeah."
Time waited, but Twilight didn't make any moves to continue. Instead, he fidgeted with his hands, ears flicking with a nervous tic of his. Time gave him another moment, before gently resting his hand on the younger hero's shoulder. Twilight stiffened, then with a resigned sigh, spoke.
"You know how I was with him on his journey, right?" Twilight didn't look up, but Time still nodded. "Well I couldn't enter his divine beasts. Only a champion could, you know?"
Twilight's eyes darted up to Time, making sure he was paying attention. He swallowed, shaking his head as he continued.
"When he came out, there was something different about him. Some kind of aura. I didn't make much of it, and we continued to the next divine beast. We had to go to Death Mountain, and we stocked up on heat resitant elixars and the like. It was fine until we were caught off gaurd..."
-
He trotted along the rocky ground. It was hot to the touch, but not enough to burn. Link whistled a tune as he skipped along ahead.
Link. It was still strange. He was Wolfie, and his companion was Link. Or maybe he was the companion? Anyway, he was still getting used to the fact that the boy shared his name. It was odd to hear someone calling, just to find out it wasn't for him. Infact, it had happened so many times Link had taken to calling him 'Wolf Link'.
"Maybe that's your name." The teen would say. "Wolf Link. Would that make me Hylian Link?"
Back on Death Mountain however, Link was darting ahead, laughing with childish glee every time he caught a lizard.
"Don't go too far!" He barked. Link rolled his eyes as he hopped back to meet him. He wasn't sure if the Hylian boy could actually understand it, but it seemed he got the gist.
"I saw some kind of rock up ahead. Hurry up so I can check it out!” With that, Link ran off again, away from the path as he clambered up a slope. He rolled his eyes before following the young hero.
Link searched around for where the odd rock had been before, while he sniffed the air with his wolf nose. The scent of Death Mountain burned, like when you stand too close to the fire and the smoke starts to choke your lungs. Currently, it also seemed to smell of monsters.
He gave a short bark to Link, who turned back to face him. “Huh?” The teen called out. How Link managed to get up on that ledge in so little time was always a little strange. “I can’t find it!” Link shouted, voice echoing. “I think it’s like-“
The teens words were cut off with a short gasp. The tip of a jagged spear potruded from his stomach, cutting through the Hylian Tunic. A lizalfos reared up behind Link, pulling its spear backwards. He gave a howl of anger as the lizalfos raised a leg and pulled the spear back, its clawed foot sending Link tumbling off the ledge.
If the initial injury hadn’t killed the boy, the impact would.
If the initial injury hadn’t killed the boy, the impact had .

Twilight was shaking, heels of his palms pressed against his eyes. Like he could erase the image of that first death.
“It hurts.” He croaked, leaning into Time. “After that it just got worse. He had no sense of self preservation, no worries if he got injured-“
“I’m sure he never meant to make you worry.” Time replied. “I know you care-“
Twilight laughed, which surprised Time. “I’ve been told I care too much. Wild said it, actually. Told me it was a tool, and if he could use it then so be it.”
“Have you told him that it hurts you?” Time said softly. Twilght shook his head. “I-“
“It hurts?” A quiet voice asked. Time and Twilight looked up towards the voice. Wild sat in the shadows, watching the pair.
“How long have you been there?” Time asked. Wild shook his head, causing his long hair to fall into his face.
“Not long.” He replied, before focussing his sharp gaze on his mentor. “It hurts for me too.” He said. “I’m the one who’s dying.”
“Then don’t!” The rancher exclaimed, throwing his hands out. “If you just took a little more care-“
“It’s not that easy!” Wild cried out. “It’s not that easy!”
“Why.” Twilight demanded, standing. “Why?”
Wild drew in a sharp breath. “Because- because-“ He gave a frustrated cry. "Because hundreds of people died for me! And I can't do anythng about it except-" Wild cut himself off with a frustrated sob.
"Oh, Cub." Twilight whispered as his protege fell into his arms. The rancher pressed his face into Wild's golden hair in reassurance as the younger gasped, shoulders shaking. "You don't need to die to make up for it. You don't have anything to make up for."
Wild whined and buried his face further into Twilight's shoulder. "I'm sorry." He whimpered. "I''m sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry."
Time's eyes met Twilights.
Ok? He asked silently.
Twilight nodded in reply. I have him.

A little ficlet I wrote in honour of booping day ^u^
Wild sat alone at the edge of camp, staring out at the slowly dimming horizon. The champion didn’t even notice when his mentor came up to him, until Twilight had gently tapped his nose.
"Boop." The rancher said to accompany the motion. Wild startled, blinking as he turned to face the older hero.
"Huh?" He asked in reply. Twilight smiled softly at him as he sat down.
"I said 'boop'. You were looking a bit off with the fairies, cub." Twilight ruffled Wild's hair, and the teen batted his hand away playfully in response.
"I was just thinking." He shrugged. "But, um, what's a 'boop'?"
Twilight laughed. "It ain't really anything. Just something I do with the kids." He explained.
Wild hummed in reply, before touching his brother’s nose with a scarred finger. “Boop.” He whispered.
Twilight smiled, before pulling his protege into his chest, breathing in the scent of endless forests and wildflowers. They sat together, watching stars blink into existence.

Uhh I wrote an easter-inspired fic i guess. Enjoy!
It was a lovely day on Outset Island. The sun was shining, the seagulls were squawking, and the Chain finally got a chance to take a break from some of that teenage angst. Yes, even the ‘adults’.
Wind shouted sailing terms at Aryll, Hyrule and Wild, who all jumped up and down on a rock they had deemed their ship at his orders.
Legend, Four and Time relaxed on the beach, Four chatting to Wind’s Grandmother about her knitting.
Twilight and Warriors shouted as they wrestled in the waves, and Sky floated lazily in the water watching on.
After a while, Wind’s Grandmother called out. “Wind, Aryll! Time to bring your friends inside!”
Wind gasped excitedly, jumping off the rock and dragging the others with him. “Come on!” He cried. “We have to go!”
“Why?” Hyrule asked as he was tugged along by Aryll’s small hand. Aryll laughed before she answered for her brother.
“The gift dolphin will be coming soon! If we’re out here when he comes, then he won’t bring any gifts!”
“Gift dolphin?” Four asked, causing Wind to slow down. “What’s that?” The sailor looked around, observing everyone’s expressions.
“None of you know what the gift dolphin is?”
“I don’t think any of us know what a dolphin is.” Time replied with a chuckle. “Mind telling us about it?”
Wind nodded, grinning. “We have to get inside first though. Race you all!”
And so the odd little family ran across the beach, kicking up sand as they laughed. Some of them may have trailed behind each other, but no one walked alone. When they all made it to the house, Wind and Aryll took charge. Sitting everyone in a circle, the pair began to tell their story.
“The gift dolphin comes every year.” Wind explained. “And brings gifts for people who have been good. We aren’t allowed to see him though, otherwise we won’t get any gifts.”
“Why would he not give gifts if you see him?” Hyrule asked curiously.
“Grandma says he’s shy.” Aryll answered. “He doesn’t like coming close to the beaches when people are there.” Hyrule nodded along, satisfied with the answer.
“But how do you know when he’s come, if you can’t see him?” Wild asked.
Wind grinned, teeth bared in silent amusement. “You’ll know.” He replied cryptically. Wind’s Grandmother tilted her head like she was listening to something just in that moment. “I think it’s almost time.” She said in her kindly grandmother-ish voice. Aryll and Wind were nearly bouncing in excitement, their energy infectious.
All of a sudden there was a loud trumpeting noise, like a thousand… well, trumpets. That were all playing a low F. Wait… yeah no, that sounded like a low F.
Whatever note the trumpets were playing, it went on for a good couple of seconds before abruptly cutting to silence. Aryll let out a squeal before racing out the door, her brother hot on her heels. The more excitable members of the chain were quick to follow, and everyone else trailed out after them.
Outside the house looked bright and sunny. It looked magical, like paradise. It looked… okay, it looked the same as before, but the ✨vibes✨ were different. It was clear the gift dolphin had visited, but now it was time to see if he had delivered.
And delivered he had. In his own, special way, of course.
11 coconuts sat in a near little row where they hadn’t previously been. They still dripped with salty salt water.
“Look!” Wind cried out in joy as he darted to pick up one of the coconuts, holding it above his head. “There’s one for everyone!”
As the others went to go collect a coconut, Wind grabbed a sharp rock and methodically struck the shell of the hairy fruit until there was a clean break. He then prised his fingers into the gap and pulled it apart. Unlike a normal coconut, that was not from the gift dolphin, coconut water did not spill out.
Instead, there was a whole lot of crab meat, which Wind deposited in the bucket his Grandmother had brought out with her.
But wait! There’s more!
Inside the crab meat was a shiny, green… egg. That’s right, an egg.
“An egg?” Sky asked in confusion, parroting the author.
Legend blinked in surprise. “Hang on, what do you mean author?”
The author in question paused from where they were typing on their phone in the darkness of their bedroom at 2:13 at night.
*insert that backspacing noise the iPhone does when it’s off silent mode*
But wait! There’s more!
Inside the crab meat was a shiny, green… egg. That’s right, an egg.
“An egg?” Sky asked in confusion. Wind nodded as Aryll pulled a shiny yellow egg out of the coconut that she was holding (that is after she put the crab meat into her Grandmother’s bucket, of course).
“Watch.” The sailor said, holding the egg out for his brothers to see. He carefully pulled the shinyness away from the egg, because it turns out that was just its skin, to reveal a brown version of the egg. He then shoved it in his mouth.
“Yummy.” He said with a thumbs up.
The chain all scrambled to grab a coconut.

@badthingshappenbingo: Shaking and Shivering
Characters: Twilight, The Chain, Ordon Village
Warnings: Hyperventilating, falling into ice
Tumblr media
Twilight woke to someone jumping on him, and a young voice cheering excitedly.
"Link!" Colin said, grin across his face. The chain had ended up in Ordon village, much to Twilgiht's delight. They had only been there a day, but everyone had quickly settled and been introduced to his family.
"Link, it's snowing! An' the lake is frozen over!"
Twilight laughed as he sat up, rubbing sleep from his eyes. It was good to hear his brother’s voice again.
"Well, I guess we better get out there, huh?”
Colin nodded and jumped up, running out of the room. Meanwhile, people stirred around him. Wind was already awake, staring out the window with his eyes wide.
Twilight stood and scruffed his hair, but the sailor was too in awe to even bat the hand away. Twilight chuckled. “I forgot you’ve never seen snow before. Wanna come outside?”
Wind gasped in delight, promptly running over to where Hyrule, Wild and Four were.
“Come on!” He called to them, before disappearing through the door excitedly.
-
When everyone was wearing appropriate clothing, they gathered down by the lake. Beth and Colin were already there, sword fighting with hooked sticks.
“Uh, Twilight?” Hyrule asked. His eyes were drawn to Twilight’s shoes. “What are you wearing?”
Ilia had wandered over as Hyrule asked the question, and laughed. She was also sporting an odd pair of lace up shoes, that had thin blades attacthed to the soles. “They’re so you can slide on the ice.” She answered. “It’s for a game here in Ordon.”
Ilia offered another one of the hooked sticks she was holding to Twilight, who accepted it before turning to the chain. “Want a demonstration?”
-
The people of Ordon village had divded themselves into two teams, before gliding out onto the ice with their bladed shoes. Mayor Bo stood in the centre of the lake, dividing the teams, and he held a smallish round object.
Everyone tensed, and the Link’s all leant forward in anticipation, waiting to see how the game would go. Twilight and Ilia, who seemed to be the captains of each team, faced each other in the centre.
Then Mayor Bo dropped the disc.
Twilight and Ilia immedietly fought for control over it using their sticks, and Twilight emerged victorius. He hit it towards Colin, who took it and skated towards their makeshift goal. Colin hit the puck towards Twilight who sped along beside him, but it was intercepted by Uli, who turned around to go the other direction.
One thing the chain took notice of was the Twilight was fast. He slid along the ice with his bladed shoes as if he had been doing it his whole life (which he probably had), and quickly drew himself parallel to Uli. Rusl, who was standing at the goal, braced himself.
The game was going fine. Competetive and enjoyable, with everyone standing around the lake cheering on the players. Then a sharp crack echoed across the lake.
Twilgith let out a cry, arms flinging out as the ground underneath him dissapeared. The gap at his feet caught on his shoes, and the chain could only watch as their brother fell down.
-
Twilight skated forwards, inline with Uli who was heading towards her goal. Rusl stood in the goals, ready for her to shoot. Twilight went to snatch the puck away from his adoptive mother, when a loud crack caught his attention.
First there was the sickening realisation that the ice had broken. Then there was the intense feeling of COLD that engulfed him, taking over his body. Then there was what Rusl called the ‘cold shock response’, and he felt his lungs tighten, which caused him to gasp for air that wasn’t there.
The icy water that he inhaled only made him freeze up more, and he felt himsef begin to hyperventilate. ‘Don’t panic, control your breathing’ Uli would tell him. It was a shame his brain and body didn’t seem to want to listen to reason.
COLD. It screamed.
COLD.
COLD.
COLD.
He couldn’t feel anything.
AIR. It gasped.
AIR.
AIR.
AIR.
He couldn’t breathe.
Alarm bells went off in his head. He was going to drown, he was going to drown, he was going to-
‘If you fall into the ice, you have to stay calm.’
He knew that voice. His panicked brain might not be able to identify who it belonged to, but he knew he could trust it.
‘Find where you fell through and orientate yourself.’
There. There was the hole in the ice. Twilight forced his freezing limbs to move, andwith great difficulty, reached up and grabbed onto the edge of the solid ice above him.
‘Get into a horizontal position, and kick your legs. This will help you pull yourself onto the ice.’
He did. He kicked his legs, and hauled himself up, spluttering as he pulled his head above the water.
‘Don’t try to stand up. Roll yourself out of the water.’
With a shuddering gasp, Twilight rolled himself out, panting heavily. He didn’t remember much after that. Someone gently helping him back inside, someone fussing over him.
“Let’s get you warm, hey?”
That sounded good.

@badthingshappenbingo: Dehumanization
Characters: Twilight
Warnings: Beating, blood, cages, drugged, dehumanization
Tumblr media
Twilight growled low and dangerous, as the sharp tug at his hair jerked his head up. His shoulders burned with the way his hands were tied behind his back, too uncomfortable to properly move.
“Well?” The other man asked, ugly grin filling Twilight’s vision. “Are you gonna tell me ‘bout that wolf form of yours, or are you…” His eyes widened in mock surprise. “Enjoying this?”
Twilight pulled away and the man laughed. “I shouldn’t be surprised, mutt.”
The man stood, fingers gripping Twilight’s arm hard enough to leave a mark. He stumbled, trying to get his feet underneath him as he was dragged towards a cage that sat menecingly in the corner of the damp room.
If he hadn’t been previously drugged, it woud have been easy to get away. Unfortunately, whatever the man had used on him hadn’t worn off yet. His eyes and limbs felt heavy, the same as his tongue in his mouth. No way to run, or even call for help.
It took a moment for Twilight’s brain to catch up and register that he was in the cage, and in those precious seconds the door was locked and his captor was swinging the key between his fingers.
“I’ll come back.” He said, not even looking at Twilight as he spoke. “And when I do, you better be ready to tell me about that pretty little magic trick of yours.
-
Twilight woke to the sound of someone walking into the room. It was a different man to… last night? Yesterday? There was no windows in the room to tell the time. The new person was shorter than the other guy, but clearly a lot stronger. His arms were covered in shiny scars, and his resting face would make most people run. But it wasn’t like Twilight had any where to go.
The first man followed shortie into the room, taking a moment to leer at Twilight before turning to his companion. They spoke as if he wasn’t even there.
“He didn’t tell me squat.” Tall-and-ugly said. “But we know he has some kind of magic that turned him into that bloody dog.”
Shortie had a very rough voice, like he had eaten sandpaper for breakfast. “Don’ cha worry. I can get it out’ve him easy.”
The first man nodded, then walked over to Twilight, key swinging in an almost hypnotising way. It slid into the lock, then the door swung open. He was then grabbed roughly, one hand around his face as he was tugged out of the cage.
He had no weapons, and was still weak from the drugs, but he wasn’t completely helpless. Tall-and-ugly cried out in alarm, quickly pulling his hand away from Twilight’s mouth. “It bit me!” He yelled. “The bloody beast bit me!”
With the hand that hadn’t been punctured by Twilight’s unusualy sharp teeth, he struck the rancher across the face. “If you’re going to act like an animal, then I’ll treat you like one.” He growled. “Deal with it.” He said to shortie, before leaving the room.
Twilight barely noticed when ‘he’ had changed to ‘it’.
-
Twilight spat out blood, chest heaving. He was left alone again, after a particulary terrible beating. His left arm hurt to move, the only feeling in his fingers a numb tingle. The cage felt more cramped than normal, like it was suffocating him.
It wasn't even really the actions that cut the deepest. No, it was the words. The things they called him. Like he was worthless, useless, not even Hylian.
Animal.
Beast.
It.
Dog.
They stirred up memories he'd rather keep buried.
Get the wolf away!
Protect the livestock!
Kill it!
Was anyone going to come for him? Was he even worth their time? After all, he was just a-
"Mutt."
That same face he’d been seeing for days looked at him through the bars of a cage. “I’ve decided you’re not worth my time, anymore.”

Oh Raven (Sing Me a Happy Song)
< Chapter 10 | Chapter 12 >
Chapter 11:
Wind wandered towards the sound of laughing voices, behind the stable. A girl and a boy, both around Aryll’s age, ran up to him.
“Hey there! Do you want to play with us?” The boy asked. His breath whistled through a missing front tooth.
“Sure!” Wind replied. He’d been bored anyway. “What are you playing?”
The children dragged him back to their friends, two other kids around the same age. “We’ll teach you.” The girl insisted, grabbing his hand. They linked up in a circle, and the boy with the missing tooth darted to the middle.
“We’s just gotta spin ‘round.” She said. “You can pick up the rest pretty easy!”
The group started skipping around the boy in the centre, and Wind remembered Aryll playing similar games with him when they started singing. Thinking back, the song was rather… morbid.
“Do you see them, with the pretty red eyes,
The pretty red eyes, the pretty red eyes?
Stay away from them, with the pretty red eyes,
‘Cause they eat kids like you and me!
If somebody has the pretty red eyes,
The pretty red eyes, the pretty red eyes.
Run and hide, from the pretty red eyes,
Or you’ll get sick, like them!
Do you have, the pretty red eyes,
The pretty red eyes, the pretty red eyes?
Just like the castle, the pretty red eyes,
Run, run from me!”
As the song finished, the kids squealed and let go of the hands they were holding, running in different directions as the boy in the middle dashed out to chase them. Wind, who hadn’t moved fast enough, was tackled around the waist.
“Gotcha!” The boy exclaimed. “Now you have to go to the castle!”
“What’s the castle?” Wind asked.
“Uh.” He pointed over to the well. “Just stand over ‘der.”
Wind made to move, but stopped. “Hey, do you know what that song is about?”
The boy frowned in thought. “I ‘fink Mama said its ‘bout a thing called gloom. An’ the castle is from behind the walls.” His eyes lit up. “Did’ja know there’s a monster? But it’s gone now. The hero got rid of it.”
Hmm. “That’s pretty cool.” Wind replied. “Thanks!”
The kid grinned, before running off to chase his friends.
-
“Hey Wars?”
“Something on your mind, Sailor?”
“Do you remember the man Raven said was probably sick? The one he didn’t want to talk to?”
Warriors looked up from his spot on the floor. “Yeah. The gloom sickness?”
Wind nodded. “Yeah, that. What was it?”
Warriors hummed in thought. “I heard some stuff about it from the locals.” He replied. “Some people say the sickness was the warning about the return of Ganon. After he was defeated in this era, the illness just seemed to go away. I don’t think it’s something we need to worry about though.”
Wind nodded, although he had a bad feeling. Like there was something he was missing that would come back to bite him. “Aright. Thanks Cap’n.”
“Anytime, kid.”
-
The man with the face tattoos was watching Link. He was a bit suspicious, considering it wasn’t common to find tattoo artists around anymore, but Link supposed some people would be learning to do it and starting up businesses again.
Link tried ignoring him first, turning to collect a spare blanket from Tasseren. The man stood as Link walked outside, to his preferred spot by the fire. When the man followed him out, Link stuck his nose close to the screen of his slate, flicking through it aimlessly. Maybe the man would say something along the lines of ‘ugh. Teenagers these days.’, and then move on.
No such luck.
Link shifted, unsubtly stretching out to take up more room. The man just sat right down beside him, watching. Did he not understand how creepy that was?
“Can I help you?” Link asked, trying his very best to sound polite.
The man smiled. “Uh, yeah actually. Mah names Twilight, and I’m looking for someone. You look like you’ve been around a bit.”
A trap? An innocent question? A creepy man? A missing family?
Link shrugged, sticking out a hand. “Link.” He said. “Do you know their name?”
The man – Twilight – looked at him for a second before replying.
“Raven.”
Raven wasn’t really considered a common name. It was the name of a scavenger bird, not a Hylian, or a Sheika. Not even a Gerudo, Zora, Rito or Goron. Link only knew one person who went by that name, and they were, well, him. Him from 100 years ago, technically. But unless this man was some kind of spirit, there was no way he was talking about Link.
“Sorry.” He said. “I don’t know anyone by that name.”
Twilight looked disappointed, and a bit confused. “Oh. Are you sure?”
Link nodded awkwardly. The other smiled thinly and stood.
“It was a bit of a long shot anyway.” He said. “But thank you.”
Link watched his retreating form. It felt familiar, somehow.
-
“Sky.”
The first hero looked up from the wood piece he had been carving. “Hey Twi. Is something wrong?”
Twilight ran a hand through his hair, looking around. “I think I found him. Raven.”
Sky frowned. “Twilight. It’s been a century since-“
“I know that, but he’s here, Sky. Right now.” Twilight pointed outside. “Come see for yourself.”
Sky stood, carefully placing his carving on the ground beside his other belongings and followed the restless rancher outside.
“Look, Twi.” He said as Twilight led him to a figure by the fire. “I just don’t. Oh. Holy Hylia.”
The person looked up, and Sky instantly knew the Twilight has been right. They were looking at Raven.
“Sorry.” The boy said, looking up at them. “I already said I can’t help you.”
“Raven?” Sky blurted out. Raven looked around uncomfortably, and stood up. His eyes were narrowed as he inspected the pair, like he was trying to work something out.
“Alright.” He finally said. “Who are you guys? Some kind of spirits, back from the grave?”
“Why would we be spirits?” Twilight replied, looking as confused as Sky felt.
Raven stuck his hands out, gesturing at them vaguely. “Oh, I don’t know, maybe because the only person who would know that name is Zelda?” He then put his hands on his hips like he was trying to sass the answer out of them.
“Wait, you don’t remember us?” Sky said.
Now it was Raven’s (or Raven’s look alike? His son? Grandson?) turn to look confused. “Uh no. First of all, you guys look waaaay too young to be over a hundred years old, and secondly, I’m an amnesiac.”
Sky sighed, brain trying to process everything and work out what in his girlfriends name was going on.
“I think we better explain some stuff then.”
