Posting this b4 I start hating it 🙏 (aka the oc-ification of Tim drake), drawing this was so painstaking I took 2 hours on the left side alone 😭 (it’s a panel redraw from Batman: urban legends I believe (I only chose it cause it was the best ref I could find on Pinterest and I’m lazy 🫰)) idk why I decided to do an art style meme when I have no art style but yk girl (gender neutral) things

I'm in artstyle hell rn so have this lazy semi realism study I did that somehow turned into Tim (ish) (that's a big ish)

this is also an excuse for me to talk abt mixed ethnicity Tim (in this case wasian, probably Chinese and white, mostly cause I'm wasian and there was once that rumor that tim was like a quarter Chinese or smth). but like seriously mixed Tim is such an important hc to me as someone who's mixed 😭 like there are so many caveats in being mixed and I feel like the struggle between identifying yourself w one race vs. the other or one culture vs. the other that a lot of mixed people (including myself) deal with really suits Tim's character. ik it's like the running fandom joke that Tim is the whiteboy™️ of the robins but like Tim struggling with establishing an identity bc of his reliance on Robin as well as the cultural disconnect he feels? Tim craving so badly to fit in with one culture but always being too "other" to secure a comfortable place in any community?? Tim always feeling disconnected from the rich culture he was *supposed* to grow up with but was deprived of??? like guys c'mon idk if im just projecting but it makes sm sense 😞

I'm breaking my silence to say that fandom needs to give timothee chalamet a break 😭 I am in THREE separate fandoms all of which have very different genres, mediums, popularity, and to an extent demographics and in each one at least one main character has Timothee chalamet as their fancast (granted the fancasts arent all that popular/common in two of the afformentioned fandoms but like still c'mon)
