Also, let's take a moment and just commemorate every girl that had to go through a cave, and every girl who couldn't make to the cave with names to be remembered. Who couldn't squeeze through so tight tunnels (cave diving is a fucked up hobby irl, sorry not sorry), who wasn't fast enough, or was burnt too badly and died slowly, who wasn't sporty enough, or had sweating problems to jump to the glowbug cave, who wasn't strong enough, or had a panic attack, who suffocated, or died from hunger.

But can we talk about the queen, prince's mother, and the prince? She's totally evil and totally used innocent girls and everything, but she's still like the only one (with a priestess maybe? Also a woman tho) who at least try to do SOMETHING, to save her kingdom in at least some way. Totally horrible, don't get me wrong. But the prince? He doesn't even try – not to come up with other ways to help his kingdom, not with how to deal with a dragon, not how to save Elodie, and being physically present when his mother throws Floria to the dragon he does nothing, doesn't even try, he just moves forward to another girl to sacrifice. He is worse, and worthless.

And I'm honestly not surprised at all.

I kinda know that Ushers died violently of their stupidity, not just because of Verna, but I say it's really stupid to take photos of the animals with a camera flash, you know it from just one visit to shelters, zoos, or any other places filled with animals. Those are dangerous even without adrenaline. Chimps pumped on adrenaline? It's either stupid or arrogant. Or, well, both.

I've never in my life felt like I'm enough, though. Not good enough for my family, not good enough for university, not good enough for my work, not good enough to have friends, not good enough to love and be loved.

I'm not really much of an active user of tumblr but I just want to say something about Barbie, and tumblr is my best option 'cause I can cover spoilers here and it's not really popular feature in other social media so here we go, open it considering all risks

Everyone knows the mom's speech about how hard it is to be a woman and I too love it (I went to the movies second time just to record it I'm sorry for this but it doesn't have any graphic content just those 2 minutes of speech to text-quote it later, I'm not even gonna share the record itself anywhere)

But also when I went for the second time, I noticed another thing. When Barbie talks with Ruth at the end, they have a chat along the lines "you helped to save Barbieland from patriarchy – It wasn't really me – You helped mother and daughter find peace and common language – they did that mostly themselves really – maybe you just don't respect yourself". Now I know it's not correct quote but I watched the movie in Ukrainian and I don't know what original lines were so I can only retell this and hope that you understand. This, however, stroke a chord for me. Earlier, Barbie says she doesn't have any special skills, she didn't win a nobel prie, she isn't pilot, or writer, or doctor, or anything; and later after that mom suggests to create a usual doll who isn't special, she would be just a usual woman.

And I think it's another important point in the movie. It's kind of a part of the general idea but also for me it's a little bit of a second idea. You don't have to be special, you are beautiful as you are and you deserve the same level of love and respect. Maybe you don't have -special- skills but it doesn't mean you don't have skills that help you survive in this world and most likely you just don't notice them 'cause they don't feel special and because of society that we live in they seem worthless if they are not special. But they are not worthless, they are just as important, – and you are just as important. Don't underestimate yourself and what yo can do. Maybe you are not a doctor or a leader but you still can do something, can save your home, can help people understand each other, – or whatever really. You don't have to bully yourself and think what you did means nothing – it's not truth. Just love yourself and notice your achievements, and don't forget it took some time, patience, knowledge and skill to achieve.
