My Opinion on Harry Potter and The Cursed Child (which literally no one asked for but I needed to rant)
So... for some reason I got into a Harry Potter high this week so I've been watching the movies and started to re read books, been reading fanfics and been looking for loads of fan art (because I love to see that there's people that are talented unlike me lol) and all of this brought me to finally reading the infamous Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (does it count as a book?).
At first I didn't wanted to read it because I've seen lots of comments saying how much it sucked, plus I knew that J.K. Rowling didn't actually write it (just because her name was in big letters doesn't mean she wrote it) (I later found out that she in fact didn't write it, she just gave a few ideas or smth).
My opinion is I ACTUALLY LIKED IT. Now let me explain myself before someone comes and kills me (WARNING: PROBABLY SOME SPOILERS).
I didn't loved it, it has some stuff that left me like wtf, but I like it as a story apart from the Harry Potter series, not as the "eighth book" that the cover of the book claims it to be (to me it's not fucking canon; Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the only canon story I'm accepting because it could happen inside the Potterverse and you can't change my mind, not even you Rowling).
The story idea was not bad; the famous Harry Potter has a son who is everything no one would have ever thought: unpopular, terrible at magic and, the worst, a Slytherin (because everyone has a stereotype of Slytherins but fuck you because Slytherin is fucking great lol) and just lives under his father shadow and feels pressure all the time to be like his dad. That's great, so much potential. A great idea terribly developed. In the story Albus is tired of his dad and his expectations (expectations who i think were only in Albus' head lmao) so he decides to take his bff, a nerdy and kind Slytherin named Scorpius Malfoy, on a quest to change history and avoid Cedric being killed for... for what? What was the reason? Did he want to show the world he was better than his dad? Did he wanted to prove that his dad in reality sucked and was just a terrible person? Did he just want an adventure like the old stories his father told him about his time in school? I DONT KNOW. It was never mentioned and I think they should have said something, give Albus a reason so the audience can understand what's going on.
Another thing I really liked was Scorpius and Albus friendship, it was amazing, really great characters who were almost-great evolveded in the short time (we need to count the fact that this isn't a book per se but a script, a play script). I loved the fact that, even though their fathers were enemies they ended up being friends, the bestest of friends (Harry and Ron who?). Talking about friendships I kinda liked the way they kind of let Draco being part of the gang (after a big fight with Harry of course) because my poor lovely Draco boy was just a sad and lonely muffin who needed real friends that loved him and supported him :( .
So... why I liked it? The idea was good, the general story was not that horrible an the new generation was great (Scorpius sweety, you're doing great :) ).
Now, of course I need to mention some things that were just... not right.
First, I didn't really understand why it was called "HARRY POTTER and the cursed child" when Harry doesn't do much (besides having loads of nightmares); it should be named "ALBUS POTTER and the cursed child" (until this day I'm still not sure who the cursed child is lol did I skip something while reading?).
Second, Voldemort's lost child? What. The. Actual. Heck. This was a terrible mistake. Like... why? What was the point? They could have created a new just-as-epic villain. I guess they just wanted to connect this story with the rest of the saga but there was literally no reason to. Why would Voldemort want a kid? Of his own? I'm going to tell you why this doesn't make sense AT ALL:
Voldemort DOES NOT NEED a kid. Why would he need a heir when he was planning on living FOREVER? He wanted to be powerful, invincible, he wanted to defeat dead... he doesn't need a child for crying out loud... WHY?
That's it, we dont need any other reason. Voldy is dead, get over it.
Another thing I HATE is: they did dirty on Ron. Ron is a great character, an easy lovable and smart guy, he's not just the funny uncle (he wasn't even that funny). So why his only role on the play seemed to be the "tension reliever" character? (I'm not really sure if I should called it tension reliever because he wasn't even that, he was just there making jokes) Again it feels like they just wanted to link old characters into the new story...
I'm not going to talk about time traveling in the story or Cedric becoming Death Eater, let's just say: IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT. But apparently J.K Rowling forgot how it should work... whatever.
Lastly, one of the things I really really hate was Scorpius having a crush on Rose... wtf, I swear this was the most WHAT THE FUCK moment for me. Now, I'm not hating on Rose (even if she was quite annoying, I mean in the books Hermione was quite annoying too lol so it doesn't reallly matter), I'm hating on the poor confusing writing. I'm not someone who easily (no that easily at least) ships couple, but the writing just show the chemistry between Albus and Scorpius, they would literally die for the other and just love each other a lot.
Here's some proof the very confusing writing:
DELPHI: That's the thing, isn't it? About friendships. You don't know what he needs. You only know he needs it. Find him, Scorpius. You two - you belong together.
SCORPIUS: (to Albus) There's nothing. Still, if I had to choose a companion to be at the return of eternal darkness with, I'd choose you.
ALBUS enters and walks up one staircase. SCORPIUS enters and walks up another. The staircases meet. The two boys look at each other. Lost and hopeful – all at once. And then ALBUS looks away and the moment is broken – and with it, possibly, the friendship. And now the staircases part – the two look at each other – one full of guilt – the other full of pain – both full of unhappiness.”
Okay, I do admit that the second one was a bit forced and out of context but you get my point.
So this is all going good until Scorpius asks Rose out an I'm like: wtf when this happened? Like some acts before they were saying that they belonged together. I dont really ship Rose and Scorpius but I would not mind if it wasn't something out of the blue.
So, in conclusion, the story idea was good but it was terribly written. They tried so hard to link the old characters with the new and they did bad. I liked it as a fanfic (which is basically what it is).
J.K. Rowling, stop trying to add stuff to an already incredible story, we beg you.

Can we talk about Haikyuu!! Zombie Apocalypse AU for a minute
Hinata:
constantly risks his life as the decoy to distract the zombies and lead them away while the rest of the team scrambles to find supplies
his little sister is his only surviving family
weapon of choice: pistol, but his aim’s pretty crappy since his job isn’t to fight. He’s practicing though. Practicing.
Kageyama:
was abandoned by his first team early during the apocalypse and managed to survive on his own for months before getting picked up by Karasuno
good with all types of weapons, but prefers long range fighting and acts as sniper for his survivor group
camps out on top of buildings and covers Hinata with rifle support while the other boy runs his decoy missions
Tsukishima:
lost his entire family and escaped from home with Yamaguchi
decent at fighting, especially shooting, but primary talent is with engineering and setting traps to clear away zombies
he’s one of the few members of Karasuno trusted to handle explosives safely
severely injured in a fight for supplies against other survivors
Yamaguchi:
met Karasuno when he dragged tsukki to them, begging for them to help him after the said fight
gentle soul who just doesn’t want to be a burden, but hates fighting so he does his best to patch his teammates up when they get injured instead
bears a crushing guilt that he’s the reason Tsukishima got hurt because Yamaguchi couldn’t bear to kill one of their enemies
has never seen someone die because he always looks away
Nishinoya:
definitely the first one to sacrifice himself for the safety of the rest of the group, this precious, noble, brave bean
reckless af. it’s a miracle he’s lasted as long as he has
has the highest zombie kill count of the Karasuno survivors’ group but absolutely refuses to point his weapons, long knives, at uninfected people
Tanaka:
second highest kill count with his weapon of choice: the baseball bat
got separated from his sister during the apocalypse, but is convinced that she’d still alive somewhere and will never give up looking for her
shaved his head because he was paranoid about zombies grabbing it, but is torn about trying to get Nishinoya to do the same
Sawamura:
fierce team leader who is super weary of other survivor groups because he’s been through quite a few nasty territory disputes
will mercilessly kill both zombies and normal people if the members of his team are in danger
has actually killed more normal people than zombies
Sugawara:
used to be Karasuno’s only sniper but when Kageyama joined, Suga gave the position to him in order to focus more on first aid and supplies management
he never liked killing to begin with, so he’s glad someone else has taken over the job now
don’t forget that he used to be the sharpest shooter on the team so even though he has a noncombatant role now, he can still fuck you up
Azumane:
his family went missing when the apocalypse happened, and he’s losing hope that he’ll ever find them
quietly apologizes to the corpse of every person he’s ever killed, even zombies because he understands that they didn’t ask to become monsters
weapon of choice: bladed crossbow

Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyuu re-run interview

Bonus:
Not sure if I’m gonna take the time to translate the entire interview, but some highlights include:
During one of the shows, Tatsunari broke the chair he was standing on and says, “I’ll never forget the moment when the chair broke under me and I saw the ‘oh shit’ moment in everyone’s eyes.”
Tanaka’s actor, Shiota Kouhei frequently shoved meat buns into the mouths of characters who weren’t actually eating theirs during the scene in Ukai’s shop. Eating the meat buns was particularly difficult for Kenta, who has to take big bites (as Hinata’s character dictates) but then still had to speak.
Tatsunari loves that Kageyama is actually an idiot outside of volleyball. He finds it very endearing.
