A Christmas Poem
Christmas O Christmas
How you drive me insane
You know all my kids
Will want every dang thing
The crowds at the Mall
I cant take it no more
And the cashier just graduated
Kindergarten for sure
The traffic is mad
They ride on your rear
I鈥檒l be damn lucky
If I see the New Year
The decorations oh my
Please give me a break
It鈥檚 gotten bizarre
The lights and music in sync
The mistletoe鈥檚 hung
So the guys can steal kisses
And the money you spend
It鈥檚 gotten ridiculous
The madness must end
It has taken its toll
Christmas today
Has gotten out of control

A Story Never Told
They walk together hand in hand
聽 聽by a little brook they stroll
Enjoy a picnic beneath the sun
聽 聽beside a grassy knoll
Noon time turns to evening
聽 聽as they lie beneath the stars
The world it seems so perfect
聽 聽this moment in time is theirs
Young lovers within their youth
聽 聽thinking love would last
Peaceful were those days gone by
聽 聽suddenly becomes the past
Once they walked hand in hand
聽 聽by a little brook they strolled
Now it's just a memory
聽 聽a story never told

A Walk With You
Pleasant walks, pleasant talks,
Beside a gurgling stream.
We while away the afternoon
Life is but a dream
聽~
Holding hands, as side by side
We stroll so merrily
The water cascades over stones
As we cross unwarily
聽~
Suddenly the tree鈥檚 explode
Birds flying from within
They fill the sky and block the Sun
Quickly returning again
聽~
If words and rhymes and magic spells
Could make our dreams come true.
I鈥檇 wish to do it all again
And all again with you

The Bronco Busting Kid
We were by the corral all chatting away
Just wasting some time and enjoying the day
When this kid he come riding right up to us all
Hopped down from his horse and said my name is Call
I'm lookin for bronco's to ride and to tame
In this kind of work I've made quite a name
They looked at each other with mischievous grins
They said we've got an old mustang his name is Big Ben
If you want to ride him well we'll get the saddle
But this old mustang's one no man has stayed straddle
He's nearly killed every man that has tried
To this old Mustang no man can stay tied
Call looked at us all as he said with a smirk
If he wants to lose me it'll take lot's of work
This is one cowboy who doesn't get queasy
I was taught by a legend an old cowboy named Easy
As we held the old Mustang Call sat down with grace
He had one hell a strange look on his face
As we turned loose of that crazy Big Ben
His feet left the ground and he did a full spin
Call sat in that saddle like he was glued to the seat
"I just can't believe it," responded ole Pete
He jumped and he bucked and he kicked and he bit
Call stayed in the saddle as the horse threw his fit
Ben jumped in the air and then fell to the ground
Then bit at the rider then tried rolling around
Without any success he jumped back to his feet
And Call's little ass was still glued to the seat.
Many men have rode bronco's and each one will say
That breaking a bronco you do earn your pay
Cause this kind of work really does take it's toll
There's not many Cowboy's can take a horse roll
The old Mustang was slowing growing weaker each buck
And Call knew he had won when he saw Ben's head duck
The mustang stopped bucking he stood right in place
Young Call had a satisfied look on his face
As Call stepped from the stirrup and set foot on the ground
All of the Cowboy's they all gathered around
They hollered and hooped and raised quite a cheer
They said Call tonight we are buying the beer.
The Cowboys all said that they never did meet
A cowboy like Call who could stay in the seat
They would never forget that day he rode in
The kid out of no where determined to win

Tell Me What You Really Think.
You sat and looked at me as if,
I had lost my mind.
You told me I was crazy,
That I was unrefined.
The kind of life I offered
That you could not accept.
I think there鈥檚 just a few lines
That I may have overstepped.
聽X
You said I had a screw loose
That I was fruity as a bat.
You called me crazy as a loon
Delirious and erratic.
Deranged, demented, dingy daft.
Bonkers, crazed and cracked
Unbalanced, unglued, unhinged unzipped
Kooky, mad and whacked.
X
You said I was a lunatic
Psycho and berserk
Out of my freakin mind
A screwy, batty, jerk
You called me a screwball
A flaky no good fink
And I said babe why don't you tell me
What you really think.

A SOUL REDEEMED
A prisoner in a world my own
I'm bound by my own chains
The ball I drag is my troubled past
My closet hides remains
X
My trials and tribulations
Are misfortunes of my own
Found guilty by my conscience
I pay the price alone
X
Many years have since gone by
The past is in the past
I've shown mercy to myself
My minds at ease at last
X
By my conscience I've been pardoned
I've served out many days
My soul itself has been redeemed
My past is wiped away

A LOST SOUL IMPRISONED
I am a lonely castaway
On an Island in the wind
I'm surfing on a cloud
A prisoner locked within
聽I'm locked in a dark gray cell
The key it can't be found
Held captive, I'm imprisoned
In a world that knows no sound
聽People walk right passed me
But through walls they can not see
Someday someone somewhere
Will finally rescue me
聽The insanity becomes horrendous
Appalling as it seems
This world in which detests me so
Will haunt my every dream
聽Will they ever find me
Tomorrow's another chance
A soul that's lost in some far cosmos
In some hypnotic trance

A Symphony In The Night
I listen to the thunder
聽 聽as the lightning fills the sky鈥檚
The smell of rain is in the air
聽 聽the thunder amplifies
Raindrops begin to hit the ground
聽 聽raising little puffs of dust
Then grows with much intensity
聽 聽the tree鈥檚 bending by the gust
The rain is like a symphony
聽 聽so beautifully performed
By an Orchestra in the night
聽 聽the pitch-perfect storm
It starts out so soft and low
聽 聽and then the thunder booms
The lightning flashes all about
聽 聽the thunder shakes my room
As quick as the storm arrived
聽 聽suddenly it鈥檚 gone
Somehow, I feel kind of sad
聽 聽it left me all alone
