Hey this isn't my usual thing, but
This is (ordinarily) a Hollow Knight youtuber I like; I get that y'all probably give negative shits about Some Guy From Youtube but you presumably give a shit about copyright trolling and labor rights, so, to contextualize:
They made a video concerning the treatment of contract workers by Valnet inc., the parent company of known dogshit SEO Mills ScreenRant and GameRant, among numerous others. Valnet are the subject of numerous individual suits, as well as a Class Action complaint in California for misclassification of workers- a practice which would allow them to avoid compliance with labor regulations
Their reward for this piece of investigation was having the video removed due to a transparently specious copyright claim, in the usual "YouTube simply cannot guzzle enough corpo smeg" manner
They have made the understandable decision not to reupload the video, since three copyright strikes = a deactivated channel, a nearly irretrievable loss
Therefore, I am sharing this little incident because if there's one thing I love, it's the Streisand Effect nailing shitbirds to the wall as much as possible because they just can't fucking help themselves when it comes to abusing labor and/or power

For the qblrsmp, we legit just had one person very angrily demand we stop doing things like having a model of mpreg bbh, then when we didn't immediately comply start explaining in their culture it was very bad which is fair enough but at the same time it's a little bit on the nose to demand other cultures adapt to your culture's standards and if not that's xenophobia. There's many different communities on the server and none of them should have priority over the others- so the advice given was "sometimes you have to respect it's something you won't like and simply walk away" which apparently wasn't good enough.
Then they came in an unrelated person's ask and made it out like they were chased out when in reality the discussion was closer to "do things my way" "sorry but no" "ok I'm leaving then" "alright!".
There's a point where people need to step back and wonder if it's an attack on an entire community or if perhaps it might just be them and the way they go at things.
As it is, most people on the server seem to express they love how much we learn about each other's cultures and how nice everyone else is...
Hey so, you going "actually this is just about one person" actually makes this worse, right?
Because the thing I was commenting on was two comments in two different replies to pommunists anon ask/answer in which someone said that hispanics were spinning the situation to be about xenophobia (which if anyone doesn't know in my dialect of English "spinning" means manipulation the situation for their own benefit and it's a negative thing to accuse someone of), and that hispanics are so desperate for attention that they're making up their own harassment.
Literally my only comment on the situation was that if a fandom space is accused of xenophobia people from that fandom space going "actually hispanics are just being manipulative and making it up for attention" does not reflect very well on that fandom space from an outsiders perspective, especially when xenophobia has been such a problem lately.
So, for you to come into my ask box and go "actually this is all just about one person" makes me go "huh, then why did those two people in defending this fandom space dismiss all hispanics instead of just going 'oh this was actually just a problem with one person'."
Like, from my perspective you can see how this doesn't exactly reflect positively, right?

To be clear with the tags of your last reblog, the whole thing is about mpreg, abortion, and sexual jokes. It's not a case of "we're making xenophobic jokes but it's our culture so shut up", it's people joking about abortion in maybe extreme ways and the person in question being uncomfortable with it (valid) and demanding the rules of the server to change so it wouldn't happen anymore (not so valid)
I understand, but you do realize that wasn't what I was talking about right?
In a situation where a specific fandom space is accused of xenophobia to explain the situation is reasonable and how you don't see it as xenophobia, but in the same breath to turn around and go "hispanics are making up xenophobic things for attention" and "hispanics are spinning this into xenophobia" does not exactly give the server or anyone involved a very good look, especially when xenophobia has been such a problem lately.
Like I fully admit that this has nothing to do with me, I have no skin in the game whatsoever. I just saw this in passing and made a comment in the tags for what I saw, because it was some place that I was thinking about joining, but the responses that other members have given don't make it seem like it'd be that safe of a place to be.

after making the mistake of opening the qrts of the translation of what baghera said i am just. done. every single "bad" thing that's been going on with the admins situation lately just gets blamed on the hispanic community and at this point im just. tired. im done.
every single time a new development happens is always hispanics who are the toxic ones, the ones who are only hyper defensive, the onlyones who are attacking the ex-admins, the ccs, the union. it's always "hispanics".
i genuinely dont think that anyone really realizes how ostrazising that is even for those of us who are sympathetic for the ex-admins. or how it must feel for the hispanic admins who stayed.
i have seen hispanic people mention they feel ashamed of speaking spanish again because of feeling guilty, or how they feel that if they speak the same language as Q others will treat them badly. and i have even seen hispanic people talk about how they have been blocked by others here simply for explaining why others could see specific comments as xenophobia
hell if people tried to explain anything about that at that time people talked about how they were "trying to divert from the situation" or "attacking the admins personal morals", instead of actually sitting and wondering if something said could have been maybe worded better
it's kinda sad that the "sense of togetherness" or "community" that this situation has clearly brought to some people in this community has come to the cost of other members of this community slowly but surely just. stop feeling welcomed at all

So this thread was made the day after Baghera had made a random comment about adding a translation mod to the french ccs smp if they were to play on it again.
When the updates account translated this part, some Q fans took her comment as mocking/being negative towards Q and/or the QSMP and started a hate wave against her (and against french qsmptwt accès who were trying to explain that the comment wasn’t negative + brazilian community was catching strays as well bc they always do for some reason).
I’ve looked at the comments and QRTs and haven’t seen people pointing out the whole hispanic community and blaming them for the situation but as you said this was like a week ago so tweets may have been deleted. Most people are blaming Q fans because fact of the matter is that they were the ones harassing her. This was also two days after Q fans were bullying sunny’s admin because she has said she was the one who gave sunny their personality. Plus the fact that in general, Q’s community has been extremely toxic since the start of the admins situation.
I’m generalising here when I say Q fans, obviously not all of them are being toxic or anything, and it sucks that I have to generalise but sadly the behaviour of a vocal part of his fandom has really reflected poorly on Q’s community.
However it’s unacceptable that people are using it to throw the whole hispanic community under the bus and being xenophobic. Absolute shitty behaviour and goes against every value this project is about ???? Literally does nothing other than spreading hate, breaking people apart plus it fails to identify who are the ones causing problems in the first place by lumping people who have done nothing wrong with them.
For the qsmpblr minecraft server I have literally no context about it don’t know anything about the server or the people in it so idk what to say really except that being driven out of a multicultural fan space because your concerns are being ignored really really sucks. I’d say try to address it with them or raise this issue publicly if u have to but I’m not in your shoes so idk if you would be comfortable/have the energy to do so.

If you look at seasons 1, 3, and 4, you can clearly see the Scar, who has at least one teammate, is wearing either an increasingly low neckline or no shirt at all. Conversely, take a look at seasons 2 and 5, where he is isolated and covers his scitties with robe or cloak even as a red life. This is unhealthy and unnatural behaviour for a Scar, and a sign that your Scar is depressed and/or desperate for companionship! Remember: a slutty Scar is a thriving Scar!
