I am a graduate of Bastyr University’s Herbal Sciences program. My passion for working with plants began at an early age by mashing leaves, berries, and flowers into “potions” and maintaining my own small garden. The potions have since developed into medicines, and the garden and knowledge of plants is blossoming. When I am not making medicine or photographing plants and nature, I enjoy capturing and preserving their beauty in fine silver. All plants used in my jewelry are harvested respectfully and sustainably. I'm rather in love with the beauty of the forest, and making it something you can bring with you, wherever you may be. Plants, especially medicinal ones, are a huge part of my life and it brings me great joy to bring them into yours ♥

I've wanted to do a poppy pod for years and years and this is what finally happened.
A rustic handmade poppy pod pendant in pure silver. Way too much soldering excitement happened here!
This might be a prototype and I may alter the design a little. It's a tight fit with the bail ring as far as wiggle room, but it works and I like it anyway.

The back of the pendant is flat, so it will comfortably lie flat.
As always, each piece is completely handmade, cut from a mold I made, I'm not dipping in silver or casting.

One with the forest~
Sassafras is one of few plants to make three differently shaped leaves on the same tree. The first is a simple leaf, the second is the mitten with 2 lobes, and the third is the ghost with 3 lobes.
I wrapped this one with a smaller, nicely darker blue flashing faceted rainbow moonstone. I nestled three tiny clear cubic zirconia stones into the pendant for a special little sparkle. The oxidized finish would really make these pop. They're currently pretty subtle alongside the very sparkly shiny finish. 🍃
