Hey! I found this blog like 5 years ago, and recently came back to it (after falling out of the kagepro fandom for a couple years). I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and translations for the anthologies! Finding your blog was seriously one of my highlights from my time in the fandom and all the anthologies (and your hashtags at the end) always made me laugh and occasionally cry. Wish I had more characters left to convey my gratitude, but thank you again!

This latest post was the last anthology comic that needed to be translated, so I was able to stick to my word! Daily uploads were a challenge but I’m glad I did it and it was fun reading your tags/comments

Hi everyone 💙
I know this blog has become very very dead the last few years, and the fact I had a few unfinished stories sitting in a folder was weighing heavy on my mind. So, this year, from tomorrow onwards, every day leading up to August 15th (because, of course), I have a new anthology chapter translation queued up!
After that, I’ll be able to finally “retire” this blog that I made a lifetime ago without regrets - I’ll keep all the posts up, but just won’t be taking on any new projects.
Thanks for your support throughout the years!!
So yeah, for anyone interested: Aug 5th-15th, 8pm CEST, 11 days, 11 stories.

(Note: in Hyakumonogatari (百物語 - 100 Ghost Stories) 100 candles would be placed in a circle, and the players would each tell a ghoulish tale, often a story from their local village, or perhaps a more personal experience. As each tale ended, the storyteller would douse a single candle, the light slowly fading as the tension rose. The game was said to be a ritual of evocation, the expiration of each story and each candle summoning more spiritual energy, transforming the room into a beacon for the dead. With the vanishing of the final light, someone or something terrible would be waiting in the darkness.)
