What was once my car ignited into flames on 06/28/2019 burned and gutted to nothing. It also had to happen on my last payment. I lost all my camera gear, clothes, all the aftermarket parts, tools, brand new wheelchair wheels, countless notes for coaching, my grip of fav books and so forth. The good news is I’m alive and well. A few burns on my arms was all the injury I physically have. The rest is all things that can and will be replaced. I can grow stronger and better from this. Yesterday made 11 years since my spinal cord injury. I wasn’t sure what I was gonna do besides what I do on any regular day. As I thought about it I had a prompting to go to @dolcettigelato and have tea and write in my coaching book. When I got there there was one table open I set my books down and got in line to grab tea. As I was making my purchase a couple people sat down at my table and started flipping through one of my books. They realized it was not a community book as I made my way to the table. We sat and had a great conversation about life, my story of overcoming adversity and journey through to this point, and my adventures as a life coach. A couple years and misty eyes were had and smiles shared. As they left I told them one last thing. “I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, but I wouldn’t change this for anything.” Don’t look at your life as how crappy it seems to be. Seek the greatness that it is. The miracle of creation and know you have the power to turn any seemingly terrible thing into something great. “Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.” ~ NH @napoleon_hill_foundation I went home after that having met 2 great people smiling from ear to ear knowing why I needed to go to that place at that time.
