Shop of the Lost
There’s a little shop in the corner, on that street you so rarely pass by. The shop must be new, because you’ve never seen it before, but it looks as if it’s been there forever. Plain and small, worn roof and walls, a welcome mat that seems familiar with being tread upon. Aside from the ornate doorknob, the shop is plain and uninteresting. And yet, you can’t help but be drawn to it. You open the door and it’s like you’ve stepped into a different store entirely.
Inside you may find sleek corners or soft couches, books or moving clocks, you may even find furniture in the shape of mushrooms, but rest assured you will find something. Everyone does.
You may find something expensive or quite cheap, what’s important is that it’s yours, something you lost and have now found. The shopkeeper rings you up with a wink and a smile and you leave feeling better than you came.
Come tomorrow the shop may have a new interior, the shopkeeper just loves to decorate, or it may be gone, like it was never there. People lose things all over the world after all.

In a story where Mirabel never sees the cracks, she’s left to wonder what her purpose is. She visits the city one day after some rough time of navigating family dynamics and finds a bit of magic of her own. Like attracts like after all, so here is Mirabel as a shopkeeper zipping around the world and seeing new places and meeting new people, but lost things get found one way or another. Mirabel has no idea why The Shop keeps popping into the Encanto every so often, it’s the one place in the world where no one finds what they’re looking for, at least not her family anyway, wonder what that’s about?

Although he is glad to be reunited with his family, Bruno still feels he needs to tread lightly in hopes not to disappoint. In a moment of quiet self-reflection, the chiming of a traveling jewelry merchant catches Bruno surprise... 」
CHAPTER 1 of my ENCANTO x ROAD TO EL DORADO crossover comic.
Thank you to EVERYONE who has been patiently waiting for this. I first saw this movie a little over a year ago during a busy and stressful time. As much as it pains me not to be able to dedicate as much time to personal projects anymore, it's a reminder of how fortunate I am to be working full-time in my dream career in animation.
I hope you stick around for the rest of the story. There is so much information in every panel. NOTHING is without meaning.
CHAPTER 2: We'll touch base with some of Bruno's nieces and nephews, hear from a few folks around town, and get a glimpse into Chel's home life and her history in The Encanto. Is this even the same Chel that we know from centuries ago?
