i'm realizing that a lot of my people-pleasing behavior likely stems from a lot of masked autism behaviors like., there are a lot of things that are really sensorily displeasing to me and i've put up with them passively for so long because either my parents didnt understand how they affected me or because i couldnt understand why i was so uncomfortable in any given moment so i just grinned and bore it. ya know what i mean? im trying to notice little things that affect me in really little ways and try to take more control of my environment in response since i am now an adult and have power over that stuff
